What an amazing place! Let me tell you why. We have been taking our dog to the same vet for her whole life and now that she is getting older her health is changing. We have been dealing with her hips being sore as she is a golden retriever. Having her on glucosamine has helped the past 2 years, but we were recently on vacation and when we came home she was acting very different and could hardly walk. We were very worried about her and called her vet first thing in the morning to try and get her in for a same day appointment. My husband and I both were at work already and had people checking on her throughout the day thinking we could get her in for an emergency appointment later that day. I was told that the only appointment available was at 9am that morning. I told the receptionist that we both were at work, but we could leave earlier in the day if there was something available in the afternoon. She preceded to tell me that they were closing early due to an open house they were having. I then asked if there were any appointments available the next day and felt very pressured to bring her in at 9am when it wouldn’t work for my husband or I with where we both work at. My husband called later that morning and was told the Doctor would call him back. That never happened. I was so disappointed in our vet since we have been going there for almost 10 years. So we decided to try Lake Michigan Animal Hospital and they were fantastic! We should have went with them sooner. They were able to work with our schedules and got our dog in that same afternoon. She was diagnosed with arthritis and now is being treated for it. Great job Lake Michigan Animal Hospital! We found a great new place to take our fur baby!

I have a boxer Lacy with a very bad all year around allergy issue. We have been to at-least 4 different vets before here. They took the time to find something that would work for her other than a life on steroids. This is the only vet I will ever take any of my for legged family members. I recommend them to everyone I can.

We liked the vet very much but if you have mold or mildew allergies I suggest avoiding this building. I am allergic to mold and I had a bad reaction to the building. It is very musty smelling. But the bet was great! Just wish they were in a different location!

As far as care, this clinic was good and everyone was very helpful. Prices are good for what you’re getting. However, when my cat passed away, I had called them to let them know that we would not be coming back due to his passing and all they had to say was “ok. Sorry, have a great day” and hung up. However, I received two cards, and a phone call from the animal hospital that ONLY MET HIM ONCE and that was to cremate him. One time. They met him one time... and he was dead. And Lake Michigan “cared for him” for MONTHS. I will now be taking my business to blue pearl.

She is Kind, Personal & Compassionate with not only Animals but their humans as well. Lake Michigan Animal Hospital is vey Competitive in Veterinarian cost as well. I highly recommend them.

Great vet. Was willing to explain things and did so in an easy to understand way. It was also nice that the vet would tell us how much something would cost when asking if we wanted a lab done or if we wanted a product. I have to take one star off because the room we were in got really warm. Overall a great place

Had never been here before. Needed to get my dog seen quick and they had the soonest appt. My dog is going blind. Instead of doing all the same tests the specialist would do (that they ended up referring referring me to), she explained what would be done there and saved me some money. She did offer to do some of the tests to ease my mind and get some answers sooner if I wanted. I don't remember the name of the vet who saw us, but she was extremely nice and informative. I will definitely go back here. Was very happy with them.

Lake Michigan Animal hospital is head and shoulders above the competition. They are professional, kind, and full understand that your pets are part of your family. They will care about your fur babies almost as much as you do and always do their best to take care of them. We used to drive over 20 minutes and pass other clinics just to go here for the incredible service they provide. You can't go wrong with them.

Dr Erin Ricco helped my rabbit and gave her antibiotics. The doctor was very knowledgeable professional and I was very comfortable. They said they would follow up with a call to see how my rabbit is going but I'm sure my rabbit will be doing fine. I would highly recommend this place
