Made use of emergency services. SO comforting to bring my puppy in for immediate attention after hours on a Sunday. Staff was excellent. I have no complaints.

We have brought both of our Newfoundlands to the E-Vet a couple of times and we even brought our rabbit one night. Our pets never seem to get sick M-F 8-4. Each time we have gone to the E-Vet there have been different people at the desk and different vets. We have liked all of the people we have dealt with and they all seemed to care greatly about our pets and understand what we were going through. The cost...It is an E-Vet and the prices are reasonable for an emergency on call service for pets. It is a business. I have another Vet that is closer to me but they do not have after hours service and they charge me more than the E-Vet does. I wish the Wachusett Animal Hospital was not an hour from my house and I would go there on a regular basis. The only issue I have is that every time we have gone it is really hot in the waiting rooms. Next time we go I will bring my Newfoundlad some ice and a fan.

I had a very bad experience at Wachusett Animal Hospital and I know several others who also have really bad experiences. Suddenly there are whole bunch of positive reviews. Beware of this place! All they care about is the money. Check out Yelp reviews.

I brought my cat to the emergency clinic because she wasn’t breathing. Although they were very focused on money we had to take all of the charges and drain my bank account because no local places were open at that time of night and she was too weak to transfer. The staff was very nice but the late night vet seemed like she didn’t know how to handle the situation, she recommended we put our cat down but we told her we were going to wait. Next morning she was still in the same condition, but after the shifts changed my cat started to make a 180. Turns out she has heart disease and her heart was failing and they saved her life. She’s been taking medication and we have been refilling the pills through Wachusett and they checked her kidneys twice. Then I made a call to refill her medications and they were happy to do it as usual but SEVERAL HOURS later we get a call saying they cannot refill her LIFE SAVING medication because they are not her primary care vet. We called our primary care vet and they did not have any information about my cats medications and now we have an appointment with our primary care vet so we can give my cat her medications and keep her alive.

Dr. Daniel Mordarski and staff were absolutely amazing the night of May 5, 2018. They provided our Piper Mae (cat) with love and compassion. This animal hospital also showed compassion towards us as well. Our Piper girl was put down after getting hit by a truck. The staff was extremely kind towards us and even let us start to grieve right there in the office.. Thank you WAHPR for everything.

I brought my dog in years ago and they treated him like a gem. This past year we found a tumor in his gland that was too complicated to remove and during our last months with him faced a lot of complications and when we explained our financial situation they would talk us through every procedure and always worked around our budget. The staff here was always compassionate and caring. Unfortunately we put him down and that was the toughest decision we had to face and they empathized so much. They show respect and if you talk to them they will help. Thank you to the staff for making this difficult journey a little easier. This was a great place to work with.

This “clinic” is unethical and should be avoided at all costs.

My sick cat received excellent care; the doctor and technicians were very knowledgeable, attentive, and thorough. I am very grateful that there was someone there at 9 PM, because pet emergencies rarely happen at a convenient time.

.. i had 2 parts to this and cant find the rest , it was a long story i cant rewrite it again lol, but i paid 1500 to get no answers 1 day of food and some fluid for what i told the doctor what we felt was wrong with our pet who was dying within minutes ,we got 3 bills in 4 hours before we left and still no answers, every call to check in from them they couldnt tell us the vitals or blood pressure, etc.. our babys living because we left demanding antibiotics, either they werent checking his vitals or they didnt care or who knows hes the doctor, so all they talked about was i think tommy should keep staying but well have to get you another estimate, we had enough we demanded the antibiotics his fluids his 2 weeks of kidney health foods and antacid and whatever else we were quoted for we wanted to go get a second opinion we found out 250.00 would have been the cost if we could have made his normal appointment, so again money doesnt matter i just wNted tommy healthy, he has 10 mpre years he can potentially live, so we take him home we start the antibiotics, he smelled like a rotted animal his mouth smelled pf dead flesh we cpuld smell it without putting our npse to his face, they tell us to give fluids once a day each day, we noticed him drinking water again after a couple hours we decided we would do every 4-6 hours instead seeing as they kept him on fluids 24 hours 2 days in a row so they really wanted us to rush back having to pay , we gave the antibiotics its now been 2 days, his weight came back his appetite came back hes shpwing off he went from smelling of death to now that rotting smell is gone hes been on the antibiotics now since the day we took him home :( hes done a 360, i cant believe the improvement and all they cared about was prolonging his health so by the 5th day they cpuld be like yup we are the heroes we found the infection after they were told immediately, hes retaining his water eating drinking nprmal etc.. because we decided to go with our intuition, i actually got a voicmail the day we took tommy home from the 2nd vet doctor that she would like to run blopd test she thinks hes got an infection of some kind after we were told it wasnt possible and she ended the message with but i understand tommys going home today so unfortunately she wont be able to knpw that result, i wanted to flip out, i had already told them his mouth hurt if its infected hes swallowing the poison and it will shut his organs down because it travels the blood stream as well the doctor lied to my face and said no the stomache acids kill that poison, sorry but infection will travel your body , so i can keep writing but im on my second page here beware we know our pets go with your gut even a doctor is running a businesd we decided if we need to buy mpre fluids etc.. we will but thank god hes doing so awesome kissing and needing, jumping up and off the bed again walking around, after he was dying in my arms i gave 2 stars because i give them credit for getting him out of the dehydration stage as good as they felt the need and providing us at least with the antibiotics we needed to give even though they refused to listen or give them to him ,

Been with them thru 3 dogs and they were very caring veterinarians

Made me feel, if you don't have no money, we can't help you. It took them hour and half to help my dog, cause, I couldn't find my care credit card. And thank God it was fractured, not broken. I just imagine all the pain he endure waiting...The doctor did not show no compassion, he was dry and all business.

Since the first time I brought my pets to WAHPR in 2013 I have not thought about EVER going to another veterinary hospital. The level of care is outstanding. Dr. Ransom is the most thorough Vet I have ever taken my animals to and the rest of the staff is kind, compassionate and the facility itself is top notch! I have, and will continue to recommend WAHPR to everyone I know! It's very comforting to know that there is a place that cares about my "furbabies" as much as I do!

Rhea Malloch

I have been with WAHPR since they first opened. I searched for a long time to find reliable, knowledged, staff that would be there for my breeding of Golden Retrievers. I send my clients there and they appreciate as I do the skilled and compassionate staff that is needed in crucial times. They are all wonderful and it is nice to know that when I bring an animal there or send a client they will find the same warmth and compassion that I do. Thank you so very much for being the best. A special Thanks to Dr. Katherine Ransom, you are one super lady.

I caution anyone who loves their pet , to please make sure you ask as many questions possible to understand the process of what’s going on if your animal is sick , or if any testing is being done please don’t hestitate to ask questions . I brought my 1year old puppy here Mother’s Day because he was peeing blood , making them aware of my financial situation since I have recently been laid off , but also making them aware of the fact that I can borrow any money possible if need be . They took Milo into the back for what they said was a ultrasound and an anal test . The Vet came back into the room with Milo and stated that all she saw on the ultrasound was thicken bladder walls . She recommended X-rays , blood word , and a urine test , ( keep in mind this Vet , did not recommend any other type of ultrasound because she stated she had already performed one) I asked her to proceed with treatment for whatever it was she thought Milo was sick with , she treated for infection , prescribing Milo Amoxicillin. Milo died Wednesday night , from a mass where his bladder should be , and somehow they failed to see , on an ultrasound they now claimed was only brief for a diagnosis purpose , HOWEVER , this was never communicated to me at all , had I know they didn’t do the ultrasound Milo needed I would have called my vet Monday morning to perform it , none of this was communicated yet now they swear it was , and that it was even on the paperwork to my personal vet , Kelly the manager in charge attempted to blame Milos death on rat poisoning , a blood disorder , his “history” ( ALTHOUGH his is an extremely healthy dog and only had worms once ) , giving many “possible” explanations, but failing to apologize for her vets careless mistake of allowing me to believe all Milo had was a uti, and maybe the mass might not have showed on the ultrasound that Sunday , but how would I have known if I never attempted to look . I contacted a lawyer yesterday who is willing to take on my case, and I faxed him all the record today after leaving their office and feeling no remorse or sympathy from these people ,this is a prime example of recklessness and veterinary malpractice . Please please please please please ask every question you can think of , look out for you pets , and find a different vet if this is yours . All I wanted was an apology for Milo having to suffer and die slowly for days , instead Kelly and Mike basically blamed me not having money on why Milo died . I received Milo as a gift because my friends daughter was allergic , if I had know about the mass , knowing I couldn’t afford the surgery , I wouldn’t have had my animal suffer in peace or I would have found a vet capable of working with me threw financial issues , just please be careful, and contact me if you have any issues or complaints and I can refer you to my lawyer out of Beverly. Thank you !

Staff is compassionate and caring. Treated our dog like their own. Very pleased with the service received.

Staff is great ..my dog had to have TPLO surgery and they did an excellent job! Reading some of the negative comments i have to say yes it costs a lot but this is your responsibility in owning a pet. Care Credit is accepted there (so there are options)

Elisa Rosado

Im giving this place a 1 star because i have no choice... i will never recommend someone here if you dont have money to pay you have no option but to put your pet down. My dog was having an issues giving birth (which we were not aware she was pregnant, she was rescued from the street) and due to not being financially stable and unable to pay over $2,500 for basic emergency care not even a payment plan option was given. no the only option i was given was pay or have her euthanized unfortunately my dog was put to sleep in the end and a family was left without a pet all over $$$$$. its just sad that a vet is supposed to love animals and do for them what needs to be done and in this situation that did not happen i was even willing to surrender my dog so they wouldnt euthanize her and STILL NOTHING. WACHUSETT ANIMAL HOSPITAL LEFT ME WITH A HORRIBLE/TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE.

Michelle Blanchette

Go anywhere else! This was the most traumatic and unprofessional experience I have ever encountered with one of my pets! I brought my Boxer to the Wachusett 'emergency hospital' directly from my vet's office as he discerned she had a mass bleeding into her abdomen. He told me to expect her to have an ultrasound (he does not own an ultrasound machine) and emergency surgery as she could potentially bleed out. I came armed with blood work results from my vet and he emailed ahead his exam findings and the x-ray of her abdomen. It was approximately about 6pm when I arrived. I signed several documents, one which stated that this practice had great respect for our relationship with our primary care veterinarian and that they would share their findings with him. I waited over an hour and a half in an exam room and stepped out of the room to make sure I we were not forgotten as I feared my dog would hemorrhage to her death. In response, a vet tech came into the exam room and told me that they were not expecting me (not like I could plan an emergency and they in fact knew we were coming). Eventually a very young and inexperienced veterinarian came in the room. She performed the ultrasound and told me that most likely my dog had a hemagiosarcoma and that she would most likely either die on the table or within days and that the prognosis was hopeless and recommended that I euthanize my dog that evening. She told me if it was her dog, she would euthanize her and not put her through horrible and expensive chemo therapy. She cited statistics that I later found on the first Google search. Not trusting that she had enough experience and knowing that my vet was recommending surgery, I told her that I would take my dog home and if she survived the night take her to my vet in the morning and I asked that they email the ultrasound to my vet's office for his review. As I left, the vet tech is a drippy sweet voice, asked my dog if she was going to McDonald's (as if it was her last meal... dead dog walking)... How insensitive is that! Luckily, my dog survived the internal bleeding and in the morning my vet, with many more years' experience told me that the ultrasound showed no signs of metastasis and that the 'standard of care' is to remove the spleen and the tumor. As a follow up to the surgery, I took my dog to Tufts Animal Hospital's oncology unit, where my dog is now under their care. A month later she continues to show no signs of metastasis and is living an excellent quality of life. Once again, I was told by the vet's at Tufts that this is the 'standard of care'. I do not blame the young, inexperienced vet at this practice but I hold fault to the owner who would leave his practice obviously understaffed that it took an hour and a half to attend to a patient who was bleeding internally and in the hands of someone that inexperienced. I also have a big problem with them recommending euthanasia of another doctor's patient without first consulting with him. It was 7:30 in the evening and he would have been readily available to look at the ultrasound and offer his opinion. In the hour and a half that I waited, I could have driven twice to a real emergency hospital such as Tufts and received the emergency surgery she really needed. Bottom line, if it is called an Animal Hospital and Pet Retreat, it probably isn't anywhere you want to go for a real emergency.

My beloved puppy passed away I brought him to watchusette to be cremated. With instructions for his blanket and toy to go with him. And the promise of a paw print. Today I went to crematorium for a final viewing and they never sent him with his blanket and toy and never took his paw print. They contacted watchusette animal hospital and they "misplaced" his items and didn't have any idea where they were. I was so heartbroken and distraught about his blanket and toy, I didn't ask about his paw print until it was too late and they never took the time to make it for me. Im absolutely appalled heartbroken and disgusted! If you love your pet please take it elsewhere

We have been using Wachusett Animal Hospital and Pet Retreat for both of our dogs for several years. The care they give your pets is efficient, caring and incredibly professional. Recently, our six year old (fear aggressive) dog became ill. Even with his additional special needs the staff had no reservations giving him the love and exemplary care he deserved when we were unable to be there with him. Unfortunately we lost our dog to his illness. But even with heart wrenching outcome, we have no doubt whatsoever that he had the best chances in the competent hands of the staff that worked so hard trying to help him. I am actually writing this review having just brought our other dog in for a wellness check and as always, once again they exhibited the perfect calm, non-threatening, efficient, caring atmosphere that is so difficult to find in other veterinarian hospitals/clinics. Kudos Wachusett Animal Hospital and Pet Retreat! We would give you ten stars if we could.

Today we placed our beloved family member Sam to rest. I can't say enough about the genuine and sincere compassion thier staff showed to him and our family. I can't thank them enough for that. I'd put my trust in them without a second thought in any situation .

I thank the staff at Wachusett Animal Hospital for being incredibly attentive and sensitive at a time when it's so hard to keep it together. I never want to go back, but I am grateful they are there and doing the hard work that they do. I had to bring my darling dog to be euthanised in the middle of the night as he was failing and suffering. They were beyond kind and gave me plenty of time and handled the details with sensitivity. I was so grateful for the paw print they offered- there are so many little things we don't think of when we are enjoying the love and companionship of our pets, and this is something I always meant to do. The print was beyond expectation...lovingly created and painted in green, which happens to be the color of his coats, his tag and collar and the person who did this for me, and for him , couldn't have known that but the detail in it means so much to me. I thank you, kind soul. ( To anyone complaining about how all they care about is money, well, I don't work for free and I expect these professionals have families to take care of as well, and the need to be upfront about costs is honest and right, as clients can then make informed decisions about care for their pets and what is reasonable for them individually, as opposed to just dropping a massive, unexpected bill. They are available 24 hours a day and everyone I encountered was both professional, competent and also sensitive and understanding. They have very hard jobs and I don't think anyone can do it if they don't really love animals. )

Zack Finn

All they care about is money, they wouldn't put our dog down until they had the money and they gave no room for negotiations for pricing and financing all they wanted was the dollar bill. Stay away

Julie Harmon

All of our pets have special needs and/or medical issues and we have been to the emergency department with them many times. Most times we see Dr Ransom, but no matter which doctor we see, we are always treated kindly as they patiently explained the issues and answered all of our questions. Our pets were always treated with compassion. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I would never recommend them to anyone. All they care about is money.I would go to ruffs before going to them at least I would get an accurate diagnosis.

I'm not trying to discount the bad experiences some people may have had here, but I do feel after reading that some of the criticism is unfair. My fiancees cat has been going slowly down hill for about 6 months and was unfortunately euthanized about 2 weeks ago at this facility. They have been our primary this entire time. Dr. McDermott (spelling?), who unfortunately no longer works here, was so sweet about the whole thing, and never got upset no matter how many times we called asking more and more questions, even without a follow up appointment. We've dealt with 2 other doctors and 5 vet techs, every single one of them has been very nice. During the euthanization, they were incredibly understanding and accomodating. Every single person we walked by in that place remembered what we were there for and offered their condolences. I feel their advice has been sound. I feel their prices are good (better than my previous vet) if you are a patient there (even if you're not, they are good for emergency services...that's why they're emergency). Their communication is excellent, including returning calls and getting you the information you need. I've been to several vets, having moved a lot, and this has been the best. IF that ever changes, I will update this, but for now, I think the "mediocre" overall score here is due to more people being likely to converse about a negative experience than a positive one.

Went in on Sunday(e.r. side). My cat's bladder was blocked and needed a catheter and an I.v. I was quoted at 1600.00 for care. When I told the tech that there's no way I could afford that, she went out back to have the vet work with the estimate. She came back at 835.00; still a lot but easier to swallow. The vet would make a morning call to let me know of progress and would say she would call later in the afternoon. I would have to call to be told how the cat should stay a little longer(by a tech). By Wednesday, I was super nervous about not being able to bring my cat home because of inability to pay for the money that went over the estimate. I love my cat very much but when I run out of money, I have no where secret to pull more out. I simply need to bring my boy home. I was made to feel like money shouldn't be an issue. 1,050.00+100.00 e.r. fee is quite an expense and I think that would be alot for a numbet of people. After paying this small fortune, I was given my cat's discharge instructions by a tech. I feel that a vet should be in the room to explain to me what's going on. Also, I could hear the techs in the back room talking about the animals very unprofessionally. When I got my cat home, he stunk of urine. It looked like he hadn't been cleaned up at all. I am finding a new vet for all three of my animals.

I was very scared that Bentley could not breathe, I was actually getting hysterical. I was told to come right in when I called, on a Sunday no less, and was made to feel important and Bentley was made to feel important. I felt at ease immediately and he was so much better by the time we even drove home from there. I cannot thank you enough for making my baby better so quickly. I also love the follow up call the next day to make sure he's o.k., it means a lot and makes you feel like a valued patient. Thank you for all you do, you are awesome!

WAHPR has been our go-to health and wellness provider since they opened so familiarity and comfort level are very high. Services and amenities can be a bit pricey but the aforementioned comfort level is worth a few bucks. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the fact that they handle emergencies is a bonus.

Nice place, pretty clean. Had some minor surgery on my dog done and they were nice and even cut out mini ghosts on the bandage for Halloween! Called the following morning to be sure everything was all set.

Domonique Vincent

They are always wonderful to me and ever so caring about my animals. A lot of these bad reviews on here seem to come from those who don't really understand how hard it is to run a clinic and do this job every day. I commend every one of the vet techs and veterinarians on an amazing job. I even once went in to have my hamster euthanized and the tech even cried along with me.. Over a hamster. Big hearted wonderful people.

Sarah Smith

This was the best care I have ever received for one of my animals in all my life. When I was told I would get an email with the at home care instructions for my little girl, who got bitten by another dog, my first thought was "OK, I already know how to take care of my dog after"! But when I read the information sent to me I was in awe and could not believe how detailed the vet who worked on my little girl was! I was in shock and so please that someone actually takes the time to write a detailed dialog of what procedure was done to mend her up. I am every so grateful it was not worse but I can now rest assure that if it was a worse situation, Wachusett Animal Hospital will no question in my mind be my families go to for here on out<3 Thank You so much from the bottom of our hearts!

The only thing this hospital is concerned with is making money. They refuse to give adequate diagnostic advice, choosing instead to prevaricate on the off chance a distraught pet owner will pay them exorbitant fees up front when the patient has very little chance of survival. After giving them thousands of dollars they not only failed to save our beloved pet but refuse to release her remains to us until we pay them additional funds (which we cannot do as we leveraged everything for the surgery itself). I am disgusted with the way this company operates and I highly recommend you find a different veterinarian, one who loves animals more than they love cold hard cash.

I love all the staff at Wachusett! From the reception staff to the techs and doctors, I am always SO pleased at how well they care for my dog and four cats! And they always take the extra time to answer my questions, listen to my fears, and explain everything going on with my pets. We have seen several doctors and many techs over the years, but special thanks to Kaylee and Dr. Billingham today for all their caring, wonderful work with my dog, Patti. And also to Dr. Cail who was recently so thorough and kind to Patti and me. Please please please - whatever your facility is doing in training ALL staff: keep up the good work! ❤️

We have lived in Westminster for 14 years and have used Wachusett AH for our dogs and cats on an emergency basis since the opened while keeping primary care with our regular vet @ Shirley Animal Hospital. When we have to use these guys, there is always apprehension about the exorbitant charges we will face, but, like most people, we love our animals so we do it. The most recent visit for my daughter's cat was another fiasco. My wife took the cat in on Tuesday @ 6pm but had to do it on the emergency side. Ouch! Long story short, our bill for services was over $800. The "treatment plan" recommended was over $2000. Removed cat on Thursday morning and transferred to our vet. We picked up cat this morning. Total bill-$300 with X-Rays! Go figure. In fairness, the office staff is always very friendly and compassionate. I feel badly for them to work in this type of environment where their management takes advantage of animal lovers.

I started at WAHPR with a dog that had an ear infection that wouldn't go away. This was a second opinion. Dr. Ransom was wonderful and the infection was finally cured due to her diligence. The dog had some many procedures and exams and therefore was very scared. She is a Saint Bernard so big and strong. All the technicians and Dr. Ransom always remained calm and reassuring to Bailey even though she was a bit less than an ideal patient. Julie, the groomer is great with Bailey too. She is a rough coat Saint Bernard and come out of grooming looking like a show dog. My second occurrence was with my 16 year old cat, Emmie. We went in to have a simple tooth extraction and Dr. LaPierre was her doctor. After the extraction Dr. LaPierre told us that she was concerned about possible abnormal tissue. She asked to send it to pathology. Unfortunately she was right and Emmie had cancer. We went quite frequently to see Dr. LaPierre and she was absolutely wonderful. She never rushed us and made herself available to answer any questions that came up. She kept Emmie going for almost 5 months and for that we will be forever thankful. Dr. LaPierre cared for Emmie as if she was her own. Her kindness, knowledge and compassion were the best right up to the end. On a happier note, we have a new puppy, Lucy is a 10 week old Great Dane and we just had her first puppy exam. Everyone from the receptionists to the techs and again, Dr. LaPierre welcomed Lucy like she was their own puppy. It is always a pleasure having our furry kids taken care of at WAHPR. I would highly recommend them. A bonus is definitely the fact that they are open 24/7 so you know you can always get an answer to a question or have help if you need it at anytime. Thank you, ~Betty Lyon

Best Doggie Day Care around!!! My girl always comes home with a smile. As soon as we arrive she can't pull me inside quick enough to go see all of her friends. It's really convenient that they have a full time groomer too. One stop shop! While I'm away on vacation, I know that she and my two cats are safe and well cared for. The staff is amazing. Thank you for being there if I ever have an emergency too!

They are all caring and compassionate ! It is a wonderful place for pets. I wish I could find a doctor for myself that measures up to the vets here at Wachusett. !

Every person and experience has been great. Have used all of their services except for the doggy daycare. My doxies have been boarded here many times, have had dentals, and have been to the emergency section as well. My cat has even been groomed there a bunch of times before the summer. I have found that the prices are fair. Last year one of my doxies got a teeth cleaning, 4 teeth removed, meds, etc. and it came to less than $500. This was a very fair price. It would be great to see them have a seperate small dog only doggy daycare , maybe they do now as I haven't checked in a while.

I personally have found wahpr a great hopspital, not only are they there for 24-7 emergency they offer one of the best general practices I have ever brought my pet too. The have great service and compassion for anyone who walks in there doors. They offer great boarding and daycare to all pets and have a great groomer as well, you should check out there Facebook page to see all the fun the dogs have in day care! The team of doctors that work there are experienced, kind hearted, and take the time to listen to your concerns. If I could rate this place any higher I would I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My girlfriend brought our dog here because he wouldn’t eat his food which is very irregular for him to not devour it immediately. Our local vet was unavailable at the time and we were concerned it was an emergency. When she got their with our dog they asked for $400 to do some x rays and ultra sounds to see what was wrong. It turned out he had a obstruction in his GI tract and they suggested we admit him so they could keep an eye on him and do more xrays throughout the day. They charged us $1,200 to admit him into the hospital for the day. We are now $1,600 invested into these people helping our dog and it only gets worse from here. After being there for several hours they contacted us and said he was going to need surgery. They sent us a quote for the surgery and it was going to cost us $7,400 to do it that night. They told us this could be fatal if we didn’t do it immediately. Me and my girlfriend were in a panic because we do not have that kind of money. We tried to get approved for care credit and we only got approved for a minuscule amount. We pleaded with them asking if they had a payment plan and they said no we don’t do that here. I was outraged they had just told me this is a life or death situation and when we needed help they said we should just go somewhere else! Thankfully we contacted our local vet again and explained we had found out it was an emergency. He canceled all his appointments and took our dog in that day. Not only did he help us immediately he allowed us to make payment over the next several months. Not only that but he only charged us $1,700 for the ENTIRE PROCEDURE. Our local vet saved our dogs life and helped us out financially as well. These people at this establishment claim they care about animals but all they see is a paycheck. They wanted $7,400 for a procedure that was done for only $1,700. Stay away from this place they will scam you and put on a fake smile like they are trying to help! Absolute crooks!!!

We took our dog Rocky here for 8 years, until he passed. Now we take our dog Holly. The entire vet staff is wonderful! They r compassionate & kind. Holly also attends their daycare facility. She loves her "teachers". They take great care of her, & all of her friends. We have also boarded her there. She was well cared for & it was a positive experience. I highly recommend them.

We appreciate the emergency and wellness care provided to our two dogs. We find the staff at Wachusett to be friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and engaged. Thank you

Amazing experience with my poor little guy who ate some string; would never go anywhere else.

Cost: Expensive -$100 just to walk in for emergency at all hours Emergency Care: Some vets are conservative some more down to earth still a better option than tufts or greenfield. I would recommend but go in with your expectations Regular Care: Expensive, I would not recommend. I had animals at Wachusett from the day they opened until this last year. They are still my emergency vet as they are 1 mile from my house. However you do have to be selective about you pet care, some vets are more conservative than others and that means more expensive. Its important to discuss what you can afford with the vet when they first see your pet in the emergency. I transferred my pets as their regular care was to expensive for me and scheduling and confusion of care or which blood tests to run for my cat. I wasn't being listened to. However this is a big hospital! I wish I could rate individual vets because there are many down to earth that listen to your needs and the needs of you pet. However I feel it's a 50/50 chance in emergency care of getting pushed towards something you can't afford. Always to remember to stay calm and ask questions like is this really necessary, and if I run this test what is the cost of treatment for those results? We love our pets but we need to pay for our cost of survive before forking over 3K because my dog ate something stupid.

I read some reviews here and my cats have a regular vet here and I've gone into emergency room before they where so wonderful I decided my sweetys have a new vet . I have never experienced anything bad or money hungry as I'm reading what I'm reading is people arnt taking their pets to a vet soon enough or keeping up with their health . Their is care credit to help people who need the money just like your doc isn't gonna tell you to pay later . Their ia pet insurance to . Wachusette animal hosp they do their job 100 percent my poor Angels now has a heart condition and they are getting me in right away to do testing I love this place and everyone is so nice and what they quote me is more than half the price I was paying at my old vets place thank you wachusette animal hosp for all y'all do

I had to bring my dog in for an emergency visit. Everyone I spoke to and came into contact with, were all so kind, helpful and just amazing! Dr. Finn was so patient and took the time to explain everything to me.

Sabrina V

Staff were incredibly kind, compassionate people and were willing to provide the best care they could for my cat within our tiny budget.

Stacie Helsing

Excellent care and reasonable pricing. I have never had a negative experience. All staff goes above and beyond. It saddens me to see the veterinary community get bashed for wanting to get paid. Unfortunately, all too often people say "do everything" but have no money when the time comes to settle up. If you want to get care at 1am Saturday morning, the vet must get paid and cannot be giving away free care!

Joseph Slyman

Thank you very much for taking such good care of my dog Ellie! She's doing much better!

David Zukowski

Our dog had surgery there about 2 months ago. Thanks to Wachusett Animal Hospital She is back to being her playful self again. Dr. Ransom, their staff and facility are amazing! They were prompt to call and follow up after the surgery to see how "Lemon Drop" was doing. I would recommend them to everyone, for all your pets needs. Very nice to know they have 24 Hour emergency service for all their clients. They provide in house boarding and grooming as well. It’s a one stop shop :) In addition, our love loves the doggy day care.

The staff here at Wachusett Animal Hospital and Pet retreat are Great!! I use both the Vet care and boarding care here and I have no issues at all. I highly recommend. I would not bring my pets any where else.

Lauren M. Gaffney

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We wouldn’t go anywhere else...our animals are like family to us and we know that they provide us with excellent care.

Brought my dog in for quills last night. Didn't wait unreasonably long, as there were other emergencies that were more critical. The procedure was quick and easy. When I called to let them know I was on my way, the girl was super understanding and nice. Thanks guys!

Cheryl Prescott

A recommendation of the doctor there was to put my precious baby girl (cat) to sleep as they claimed there was nothing more they could do. I requested that my cat's records be sent to my regular vet and they took it upon themselves to go "on line", found a similar vet with my vets name and sent the records there!! Her records went to NY state when I clearly gave them my vets info when I first checked in. My vet even spoke to them herself on my cell phone and gave them the information. The only thing they were focused on that night was me signing for getting their money. I am so very disappointed in the staff at this facility and I will never bring my animals there again. Oh and the night I went to visit my baby, also being the same night we put her down, she had food stuck to her fur on her tail and her hind quarter. I had to clean her up. I just hope and pray that they did not just throw her around like some piece of garbage. I feel that way.

Alicia Poirier

I wanted to just say how amazing I thought you all were! From the moment I walked through the door I felt extremely welcomed. All of the employees I spoke with took the time to not only make Luther happy but myself as well. I would highly recommend you guys to anyone!

I am so grateful to have a multi purpose facility available at such pet friendly costs. It is clear that the main focus is that of the health of the pet. The staff is exceptional and I can't thank them enough for helping me Keep up with vaccines and in budget at the same time. I support and encourage support 100%

Sarah Aubuchon

Brought my dog in as she had been limping for 2 months. We identified her limp on her from right leg. She had previous TPLO surgery on her back left leg. Wachusett decided to take X-rays of the back left leg. Everything looked ok, no kidding, that’s not the leg she’s limping on. After $500 in fees, we were sent away with no real reason for her limping. Probably artthritis they said. She’ll be 5 soon and is a larger breed. 2 more months go by and she’s still limping. Take her for another opinion. This vet decides to do the smart thing and X-rays the front right leg. They found a bone fragment in her shoulder. Finally, an answer! They put her on anti-inflammatory and she’s no longer limping. Wachusettt misdiagnosed her. We are no longer patients here.

100% CORRUPT! I brought my Flemish Giant rabbit here as they say they specialize in exotics and have rabbit vets. He wasn't eating or going to the bathroom for 3 days so i brought him in and we seen Dr. Ransom and they took a xray of his stomach which all she said was it looked like a "blob" so Okay that explains alot.(Possible Blockage) He was sent home with meds to see if he could pass any stool but 2 days later still nothing and he was getting worse. Wachusett called me in for a "free exam" where Dr. Finn was so convinced his quality of life was "high" which if she knew anything about rabbits she would realize he wasn't okay and he was suffering and i asked about euthanizing and she refused and said to admit him as he was going to live. He was admitted friday afternoon because you should trust a vet right ? Saturday morning a tech calls and says hes going to the bathroom and eating!? Saturday around 3pm i get a call that hes declining and needs to get to tufts asap cause "we don't specialise in rabbits" WTF! I knew he was suffering and unfortunately had to elect euthanasia as his temp was 109 degrees at this point. The vet gets on the phone and now says she thinks he has a mass? Unfortunately i lost my handsome dude. I knew i was going to but he shouldn't have had to suffer for days because they are liars and just want to make hundreds/thousands of dollars because people love their pets. They are our family and this place takes advantage! They don't give a damn about any pet that walks through their door. (They love wallets though) Dr. Finn and all these other "Doctors" should be ashamed to even call themselves that. If you can't handle exotics then send them to someone who cares and knows more! My poor rabbit was just pumped with pain meds and fluids to keep him alive for them to make money. I hope your happy! This place sucks. Im sorry to my sweet Bun. Fly high my baby❤

David Burroughs

Very cold atmosphere there. We have brought our dogs there twice for an emergency. No feeling or compassion. We live two miles away but will continue to go to our regular vet in NH. We needed some pain meds for our dog but could not get it from our regular vet because a blood test had to be done first. Our vet called Wachusett to see if they will fill it as a professional courtesy,On Tuesday, they said yes.On Thursday when our vet called them to fill it,they refused. So we will drive up to NH.It takes an hour and 20 minutes but we will get better service, care and love compared to Wachusett. I will NEVER EVER go there. Piss Poor

Christa Ellsworth

I will NEVER EVER EVER recommend anyone to come here for emergency services. Was quoted THOUSANDS of dollars more than what we actually paid for our dogs care and surgery somewhere else. Little did they know I am extremely dog savvy and have a vet tech for a sister who told me they were taking us for absolutely granted in our current situation. Trying to preform tests that were not necessary along with zero compassion. When I took him somewhere else and showed them the quote i was given they legitimately said “They should be ashamed of themselves.” “ This is why we never recommend them as an emergency option.” My dogs surgery was done for THOUSANDS less than what they wanted us to pay. Money hungry. Money hungry. Money hungry.

R Jo

I first brought one of my dogs here for an emergency visit and was amazed at how well he was cared for. Unfortunately it is not cheap for us to treat our furry friends anywhere (especially for an emergency visit) but the staff was really helpful and understanding and we didn't have to pay the entire amount all at once. I think their prices are very fair and competitive and I know that they are cheaper than the last place I went to. Unfortunately our pets' emergencies always seem to come at the worst time so I think having pet insurance would be highly beneficial to those other reviewers that had high costs associated with their visits. For those on a tight budget, I would recommend bringing your pet to a walk-in clinic for vaccines. I do this with mine and just email the paperwork for their file. All in all, I highly recommend WAHPR and I feel very comforted just knowing that they are always there for emergencies if I need them.

Mary Harrington

Brought my dog to Wachusett Animal Hospital very late one night with a sudden sore leg. I called first and all I heard was prices and that I'd have to wait because there were four animals ahead of us. When I arrived, a woman came outside to try and help me with my dog. She was very aggressive and the dog didn't like her right away. When we went inside, she wanted to take my dog out back to "triage" him, but said I couldn't go. Dog was frightened and I was concerned for the coldness. I told her I wanted to go and she said I'd have to wait. She went out back and then I asked the receptionist why I couldn't be with my dog during the triage, and she mumbled something about other people's animals "back there." I left and went to Westford Veterinary at 11 Cornerstone, and received truly excellent care.

Don Ostrowski

Our dog Sophie is a rescue, who we got four days ago. This was her first vet visit since we got her. Dr. Julie Butler, the vet we brought Sophie to see, was excellent. Very competent. She related well to both Sophie and to us. The vet techs as well as the front desk staff were considerate and kind. We appreciated all they did to make Sophie's first visit with them a pleasant experience.

Kat S

Brought my dogs here a couple of times for various minors issues. Every time I call to have one of them seen they don't have any openings so they recommend the emergency side. Of course they do... It's $100 just to walk in the door. I'm hemorrhaged money there too many times. I am not going back. The care we have received was very good but very expensive.

kiomy Encarnacion

Keep up the Good work!!! And I’m glad to have u guys as my vet for my cat!!! Thank you for everything!!! :-)

DO NOT GO HERE. Find another emergency hospital to take your pet to. Took my dog here for emergency services when my vet was unavailable and all but one of the entire staff were more focused making money than answers, action for treatment, or providing honest help to sick and hurt animals. My dog had not been able to keep his food down for two days. He was severely dehydrated. They made us wait for hours for us to leave with antibiotics that were impossible to get him to take down. They spent hours going in and out of our room with different treatment options, sales pitches, and estimates- all of which were in the thousands. The staff were not welcoming or warm to people, never mind animals. I would never leave my dog at a place like this.

Joseph Smeraldi

I had a good emergency visit. They were supposed to follow up with an estimate for dental cleaning. Never did. When i called to get information on their dental options they refused to provide any information until i made another appointment. Wouldn’t even tell me if they had non sedative options.

I brought my cat here recently and I was highly impressed with everything regarding this place. From the first phone call (it was an emergency and they were extremely calm and helpful), to getting an appointment, and to speaking to the women at the front desk, the techs, and the vet, I have nothing to complain about. Being a new pet owner I was very nervous, but everyone who worked there was incredibly kind and patient. Turns out my cat just had an ear infection and a pain in his stomach, and the vet called me to check up on him the next day. I would recommend this place to anyone with a pet and I don't plan on going anywhere but here with my cat. Regarding prices: the vet and the tech I spoke with were aware that it's not cheap bringing your pet to an animal hospital (since it was an emergency) and they worked with me to see what was absolutely necessary. I felt that this was helpful.

I have to be honest, the thing that I like best about Wachusett Animal Hospital is the location. My two faithful trusted vets retired this year so we transferred to a new vet that was recommended to us. They are affiliated with WAH and this was our first experience with WAH. WAH is about 25 minutes closer than our old emergency clinic. It makes a big difference! Raegan's encounter with a porcupine could not have come at a worse time. Two hours before my daughter's baby shower which I was hosting at my home, Raegan crawled in covered with quills. I was able to bring her to WAH, have a brief discussion with doctor Hughes, and return home leaving Raegan to be picked up later in the day. Dr Hughes called during the shower to give an update about Raegan which went a long way in easing my anxiety. I never even asked her about my dog"s eye, to my shame. There were so many people around me I could barely hear her and I knew Raegan was in competent hands. Thank you, one and all. I know you won't take it in a negative way when I say I hope I never see you again. But if I do, I know my dog will be getting the best of care.

JACQUELINE KINSMAN

I can't say enough about the wonderful care my pets have received here. Wachusett has the most caring and knowledgeable professionals I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They treated my cats with the utmost love and respect as if they were their own. Highly recommend WAH for routine and emergency care of any pet!

Kay Co

Everyone was amazing. Thank you to the doctor who was so helpful explaining what was going on with my dog and his treatment options. And thank you to the girl at the front desk who gave snacks to my two year old, it was the best experience in a stressful situation.

Kellee Murphy

Our experience with the staff and doctors in the ER for both of our cats was extraordinary. Not only were they kind to the animals but they were very sensitive and kind to us as a family I highly recommend your clinic Everyone I know.anyone coming to you Thank you for all of your help we look forward to bringing our pets to you in the future

We have been going to WAHPR for years... Our first dog (Ruby) was having issues that our prior vet did not notice or listen our concerns. Dr. Ransom was very concerned and we could see her love for animals. She was able to diagnose the issues with her kidney disease and reduce the suffering we saw Ruby going through. Although the damage had already be done by not catching the problem Dr. Ransom was able to help extend Ruby's life. No one wants to be told you beloved pet needs to be put down but when it was time Dr. Ransom handled the issue with kindness and professionalism. Our current dog Major has been going to WAHPR for most of his life. We were told about him needing a home through WAHPR. Major has had excellent care provided by Dr. Ransom and staff (he loves doggy day care) we have always had good experiences. Thank You WAHPR and Dr. Ransom

I have never had a bad experience here. Everyone is professional and compassionate. I have been bringing my two cats here for over 5 years and am extremely grateful for the excellent care they have received. One of my cats had to have emergency surgery when he was 12 for a urinary obstruction and 4 years later is doing great! This past winter my son came home from college and his kitten got into the grease drippings and got extremely ill. Although this kitten was not normally seen by them they were wonderful treating her. My 20 yr. old cat fought kidney disease for over a year and they were wonderful teaching me how to give him his sub Q fluids so I could do it at home. When he stopped eating about a month ago, I called to ask what to do and they took the time to talk with me about options. They put me at ease and patiently answered my questions while listening to me cry over the phone. When I brought him in the next day to put him to sleep, they were all so caring. I stayed with him and kissed his head while he went to sleep. It was very peaceful and they were so compassionate. My cats are part of my family and deserve the best possible care and that is what they get here at Mt. Wachusett Animal Hospital and Pet Retreat.

Always happy with our visits to Wachusett Animal.. ..I have seen the reviews that" they care more about money than an animals welfare" and I have never found that to be the case. Medical care is expensive ! We have a LARGE 140lb Mal, so the bills go right along with her,...their prices I found to actually be cheaper than other practices I have been to in the past . Concern from the Dr's has been whats in the best interest for our aging "princess", not racking up a bill.. even helped me in an emergency with 2 ducks who were attacked ! not a money maker for them I assure you , just compassionate care in the best interest of the animal. I highly recommend!

Kelly Dolan

DON’T believe the false 5 star reviews! They do not offer a payment plan and are more than comfortable letting your pet die a slow painful death by turning you away for your inability to pay up front! This place is criminal and should be shut down for unethical business practices! RIP Miss Bonnie

Bethany Willson

Excellent care and affordable costs. My cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and the Dr's patiently answered my questions in addressing the diagnosis. Three different Dr's saw my cat and all were courteous and responsive to my concerns, giving suggestions on different diets to feed and how to periodically check my cats blood glucose levels at home. It saddens me to see so many people complaining about the costs. Healthcare isn't free for pets nor humans. It's expensive to run tests and diagnostics and to admit pets to a hospital. The staff at the Wachusett Animal Hospital clearly cares about their patients, and are not all about the money. My experience has been great and I will continue to use Wachusett for all of my pets needs.

H R

very horrible experience during a euthanasia of a pet my pet suffered horrible pain and cried loudly and the vet had to take my bet out of the room to finish. I highly doubt her experience euthanasia so just be forewarned. The " dr" is katherine ransom.

I brought my boy Blu here to the Emergency side when he was hit by a car, the staff was so compassionate and guided me through my options. I had to put him down but they followed up with a call to see how I was doing and sent a hand written card with the sweetest note in it. I now bring my 6 year old Pitbull here and they always give her the best care. She needed immediate attention with a concern of a blockage. They knew my financial situation so they tried the lowest amount of care to see if that would help until I could get the rest of the money together. The lower care cost was actually was all she needed. They always explain everything thoroughly and answer any and all questions. I will always bring my pets here from here on out!

draymond Denise Raymond

Everyone was wonderful. The staff was very professional. Dr. Kale(?spelling) explained everything and was very compassionate with Cooper. Thank you to everyone!

Chris D

They were more concerned about money then the care of my pet. With the there "low end" and "high end" pricing, it is clear by there facilities and the amount that of vet techs working that I doubt anyone ends up paying the low end cost once everything is said and done. I agree with Rev. Theron W. Knox review from earlier. Take the extra trip and go to Westford emergency instead.

Janet Barry

Dudley is a Standard Poodle. His health and well being are of particular importance as he is a service dog. He receives, in my opinion the best vet/animal care possible by caring, skilled, experienced and committed staff. The Pet Retreat is amazing. We drive 40 minutes to go to WAHPR; we tried boarding closer to home with disastrous results, we will go nowhere else. Dudley clearly has developed strong, positive bonds with the Pet Retreat staff at WAHPR. AT WAHPR all his needs are met, dog time, spa (Thank you Julie!), and health care (the best team of animal health care experts), all in one exceptional place . Thank you Dr. Ransom and to all the amazing staff.

Wish I could give them 0 stars! They will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to walk through their front door with your pet. Anything to get your money. It’s just sad they give false hope.

Tara Corey

I have been here for multiple emergency visits and have nothing but great things to say about each time. We recently started having our boy see Dr. Butler and we could not be more pleased with how understanding and caring she is. Highly recommend.

Sharon Perkins

Your staff was, in one word, amazing! My PJ ran into a car and then was hit by the rear of the same car. He had a deep laceration to his front paw. From the time we brought him in, stunned and bleeding, to the time he tenderly bounced out to go home the next day, I felt he was in the best hands possible! I slept well for the one night he was gone - although we did miss him terribly!! The doctor educated us on PJ's medicine to go home, how to keep his bandage clean and how to replace the Cone of Shame when it fell off (which was two minutes after he got in the door at home!). Thank you for your concern for my baby and your tender treatment of him and myself. Hopefully we'll not need ER services again but when/if we do, you'll be the first call.

I just went in to purchase high calorie cat food for Kittens that my cat had unexpectedly. I was told that I couldn’t purchase the high calorie cat food unless I coughed up the money for all 4 of these Kittens to be seen! I was under the assumption that Veterinarians care for animals BUT apparently this place cares more about money than actually helping people in the community. I will not be back, and I will take my business elsewhere. I’m absolutely FURIOUS. Don’t bother taking your pet here! Go where you’re treated with kindness and compassion and aren’t valued by your wallet’s contents. My kitten’s aren’t “sick” the runt died due to natural causes. I fed her appropriate milk replacement every two hours, stimulated her bowels, and regulated her body temperature using heated towels. She was just extremely small. It’s nice to see your true colors though. I’m glad you have the time to insinuate my “poor care” of this litter of kittens instead of working out a payment plan or at the least .. giving me the necessary tools to care for them on my own as I was attempting to do the right thing for them. I appreciate your response and I will be seeking out a Veterinarian that has affordable prices. I’m sure you can all see by the previous comments that I’m not alone in my assumptions. People dump thousands of dollars into this clinic to be quoted a fraction of the cost elsewhere. Ridiculous!!

The worse experience of my life. My dog Mr. Ripley is a 7 yrs old boxer pit mix. Out of the blue he started drinking a lot of water and peeing a lot. After 3 days we brought him to Wachusett Animal Hospital referred by Central Animal Hospital. They must receive a kick back. I explained the issue with water and peeing..I was told i needed to pay $100 for him to be seen for an estimate to be written up. He was looked at and i got the estimate for just over $700 so now just over $800.They told me he is diabetic so then they sold me insulin and some needles told me to give him 8 units twice a day after he eats. Not sure where this magic number 8 came from the very next morning i purchased a cyclometer. checking his glucose quite a lot with it and it barely would decrease. They call to ask how he was i said glucose not coming down.the said bring him in for a curve. They kept him all day i went to get him and they told me the same thing in told them it barely comes down $230 please. As we were walking out I was told to raise it to 9 units . Next day another call from them again I saying I am worried the numbers are staying high and I wanted to try another insulin and was told no keep doing what i am doing and in a few days they wanted me to bring him for another curve.Well he didnt make it to the curve two days later we have to bring him back in because his blood sugar was so high his face dropped on one side he had a steady stream of drool and one eye stays open and will not blink now. Also unsteady on his feet I rush him back there. They told me it is life threatening and he needs treatment estimate of $4959.55 . I love My friend Mr. Ripley so i said save him i got the money ill pay it.. They said not going to do anything until 75%is paid up front. Had to go home to get bank card with Mr. Ripley and go back and pay. They took him in and from what i was told they were going to keep him for a few days on insulin IV got a call glucose is down where it should be all is good he looks great everything i wanted to hear. Myself and like anyone else you would think that they would get him stable and test for underlying problems like cushings etc . Any time i mentioned them testing him for it they made it sound so expensive for the testing and changed the conversation and Anyway I went for a visit and they suggested X rays and ultra sound saying it could be cancer or some thing else estimate another $727.55 he was not given the test till 3:00 in the morning and you know what the results of these tests or treatments were, absolutely NOTHING that we didn't already know. Like we should be testing him for cushings. All they did the 4 days he was there was gave him insulin through IV and glucose came down to around 160.They switch him back to the original insulin(that hasn't worked yet) and have the nerve to say he is doing great. Today i was told he is good to go I asked for an estimate for cushings test and it was only $286.25 . Twenty minutes after leaving this place I checked his glucose and its at 550. How in the world can 550 be him doing great? I think they are just money hungry did not check Mr Ripley for cushings because they want me to bring him back in when he is at his worst so they can dig deeper in to my pockets. And i would not let them work on a cockroach Whole bunch of young inexperienced trained how to take max money from any client that walks through the door and keep your pet sick so you keep going back.

Your staff has been excellent in caring for my dog, Emma. She has been in twice this year for pancreatitis and once for a fever; all three emergency room visits. You reassure me that she is ok and send us home with very clear instructions. I greatly appreciate the follow up call to see how Emma is doing. Your facility is also Emma's regular vet. The staff is warm and welcoming. Emma's appointments have never been late and just as you are on the emergency side, you are very thorough with Emma's regular care.

Monday morning I came here with the thought that my little cat Ashley (aka Newcat) was not going to come home with me. The staff was amazing, prompt and compassionate. Very professional, kind and got my puppy better. The staff are very friendly and kind especially Cheri Hart, she went out of her way for me and had been nothing but truly kind. I appreciate that so much as you don't find a lot of people in the world today like her. Excellent service. Thank you so much. The first picture was before we brought him in and we knew he was so sick. The next is when he came back. Thank you all so much for saving him and taking such good care of him when he had to stay. Everyone is so kind ,friendly and helpful. Thank you all. We still have a way to go with him and we will continue to stay will you to help in getting him back to his fullest puppy self.

Our family pet was left in respiratory distress and pain for over an hour before basic pain meds were administered. The staff at this facility were quick to collect fees, but unresponsive toward our dog who had a mouthful of porcupine quills. We left Wachusett Animal Hospital, and brought her to Tufts Veterinary School/Hospital in Grafton, I wish we had gone first. At Tufts our dog was treated by caring professionals who have respect for animals and their owners.

Mandy Vartanian

Wonderful experience! It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it. Staff very knowledgeable and caring. As a new dog owner I appreciate the time they took to listen to my questions and concerns. Beautiful and very clean.

On behalf of Vinnie, belated friend, roommate, beautiful Green Cheek, Yellow sided Conure. Vinnie suffered the last of his old age stroke/seizure, after checking in with local vets, Westminster was the one with a Dr. still on. Vinnie suffered, tried to fight and recover from this last stroke/seizure, for an hour and 15/20 minutes Vinnie fought as being roughly 27 years old, approx. possible 2-4 years out living his natural longevity. <3 I brought Vinnie here, Wachusett Animal Hospital, they quoted me the procedure and cost over the phone, when I arrived, they gave me space as needed prior to having the procedure of "putting Vinnie to his final rest", so after hoping Vinnie would get back from his debilitating physical Seizure / stroke, he had been non-stop chirping as in pain for the while I was seeking treatment for him. The staff here put me at ease with me being with Vinnie while he was given respite, comfort .. finally.. <3 I was so very comforted with him getting rest finally... The staff then took him out back, prepared Vinnie respectfully to present back to me... <3 His final resting blanket. The professionalism after hearing my initial concerns, they, the staff followed through as expressed. I am grateful to all the staff at Wachusett Animal Hospital, Vinnie's needs were met at a professional speed and compassionately handling of Vinnie's, my situation.. <3 Thank you. Sincerely, Ron, Vinnie's guardian.. though now, over the Rainbow Bridge Vinnie has flown <3
