This Veterinarian belongs to the category of Animal hospital.
My dog needed to be seen as he had diarrhea and was throwing up for three days straight and they stated they will not see him until tomorrow. What kind of caring veterinarian would make someone wait when their dog looks like he’s about to die? Ask yourself that before you trust these people with your pet…
Incredibly kind and attentive staff. Family relocated to the area and needed a new clinic. Pleased with the vet, vet tech and office staff. Only reason I took a star off is they are much more expensive than my previous vet office...for example used to pay $15 for a nail trim and they charge $26.50. I will continue to go here because I truly felt they provide good care but overall every vaccine and exam was more than what I have paid in past.
Actually went to Radio-Cat which is operating out if the VCA. The VCA staff were friendly and helpful. The Radio-cat tech was fabulous. Answered all my questions and provided daily updates while my cat was being treated.
We wouldn't take our rabbits anywhere else! And with not one but three wonderful exotics specialists, we don't have to. Dr. Kruse, Dr. Warner and Dr. Siperstein are very caring and extremely talented vets, and everyone on staff is friendly and competent.
Dr. Pelletier is an awesome veterinarian! Every doctor that I met and vet tech that I met has always been extremely professional and polite. The front desk people are also very polite and professional. I would recommend this veterinarian office to anyone looking for one!
I have visited this location a total of three times. They wont answer a single question unless you make an appointment (e.i cuff up $100) regardless if it's just an owner seeking general pet care info. Front end staff is polite, but the doctors and nurses themselfs are rude and lack empathy for owners. Overall, their priority seems to be profit and their public image imo.
Very caring staff
Great as always
High quality Veterinary Care. Everyone here is friendly and helpful and they all show a deep and abiding concern for the welfare of your pet. This houseld has had one very sick cat, which they treated successfully, and a very sick dog who, unfortunately, was not treatable. They were always there and I always felt they were doing the very best they could regardless of outcome.
Terrific veterinary care. All staff delightful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
This is a great place. They care a lot for our furry children. I recommend that's anyone go here.
Staff is great
This is where we take our dog, great staff here. Parking is tight.
Dr. Pelletier and Dr. Goulart are amazing with our two cats, especially as they get older. Our cats connected with them (and they with our cats) when we first moved here, and we continue have them as their primary vet of at all possible. Dr. Franquin was also great on a time sensitive and potentially serious matter when Dr. Pelletier was booked. The technicians and support staff are also top notch. The weekend hours are very convent. The follow up calls to check in are also very helpful. In several cases, the follow ups have come not only from the support staff, but also from one of the vets, because that is how much they care.
Wonderful group of woman at the front desk always make the experience fun
The most incredible visit with compassionate, genuine and highly educated staff. Dr Kruse really listened to my concerns about caring for a rabbit, she taught me best practices and provided many resources. Tegan was great too, answering all my questions. I left feeling very comfortable and confident as new bunny mummy. Lastly the entire office and rooms were very clean. Thank you team VCA Wakefield!
The VCA takes very good care of my fur children, Emma and Chester. They are a bit pricey, but do very excellent work and my dogs don't mind their visits.
They have the best vets in the area
Vets are very thorough. Without insurance their services are very expensive.
They neuter my dog 10 days ago and I'm very happy at this point with results. The staff was very helpful answered all of my questions and was very good with my dog.
Always the friendliest staff around. Great doctors with true compassion. Highly recommend
I'm still a little pissed off with them. They never notified me of my dogs ashes being delivered. Otherwise I've never had a complaint with them.
Absolutely love this place. I was a tech for 6 years at other hospitals but now bring all my pets here because the service is so good. The doctors and staff are wonderful and caring, and you can tell they all work in a fun environment. I've been to too many hospitals where the staff is just miserable- can't say enough about this place.
Our Malamutes love their Veterinary services. Dr. Cruz is an amazing veterinarian! Been coming here since the dogs were pups. The dogs are never anxious and the techs know how to handle our breed of dog.
Fantastic staff, very caring and helpful. Expensive though, and fees show up on the bill that weren't part of the estimate but should have been, i.e. the estimate has the X-ray cost, the bill had the x-ray and x-ray handling/processing fees. We brought are sick cat in for an emergency check in, they stayed late on a Saturday to help us out. Unfortunately we had to put our cat to sleep. Everyone at the hospital was extraordinarily nice and treated our cat (and us) very well on her way out. I don't know if it's just because the hospital is in an expensive area but the prices are kind of high, and I wasn't a fan of the surprise fees in the bill. However it is a clean, bright and modern facility that gave us the best care they could. We have a closer vet but when here because it was open later. Billing issue aside we'll certainly consider them for future care and adoptions.
Best hospital for my babies.
Very nice people work there and great vets.
Great time
Friendly staff
Great friendly Vet. They take great care of our pups!
Best vet ever!
The staff is amazingly professional, efficient, friendly, and caring.
I'd love to give them a zero but i cant. these people killed my 7 year old budgerigar thorny and they still charged me the 90 dollar visit. they crammed him into a tiny box and he continually bounced in the box hitting his head. they took him in the back to trim his nails and they come out 5 minutes later with a dead bird. 7 months later my other budgerigar dies from the loss of his partner. birds especially parrots are highly intelligent and pair bond for life. so when they lose there partner it can be very detrimental to them and they can start to pluck their own feathers and can die from the stress of losing there partner. so PLEASE do not take ANY small animals to their veterinary office especially birds.
Best animal hospital around. I've had dogs (and other pets) my whole life. Never met such genuine, caring people when it comes to animals. I lost my 15 yr. old dog and was so touched by the support they had. Especially my dog's vet there, just so thoughtful and caring. I won't ever go elsewhere as a result! I knew they understood. :) Also, not to mention how completely organized and easy it is to make appointments - they're super on top of everything, never had any issues. great confirmations of appointments for reminders, etc.
Usually very good there. I wish they would have asked me my feelings about putting my dog in a muzzle before they did it though because that was just unnecessary on their part and stressful for my pooch. Always kind vets though.
I trust these people with my dog. Next year I will be 14 and I wanna help work there.
This was an amazing upgrade in care when I started taking my dog here. I highly recommend them.
Fast urgent care. Vet Tech and Vet were awesome. Patient with my pup, gentle, kind and thorough. I'm very pleased with the care received.
We've had great experiences here with our pets. They know how to handle exotics well and are really good for new pet owners too!
Everyone is very nice. They're very patient and good with the animals that come in there. My ferrets are well taken care of when they go here
Dedicated to business than service. I was here for the first visit. I was more compelled to take the vaccinations that I am aware of and never explained what it was for? Vet doc is more interested to explain about the payment plans than explaining what the vaccination is for or do I really need vaccinations? My breeder expalined me clearly on what vaccinations should I give to my dog, with my concern on the vaccinations, doctor and nurse vaccinated my dog while talking to me without getting my permission. Later I paid a good amount and understood why the staffs hurrying on vaccinating my dog. This is the first time I felt like I was as really helpless. I will think twice before I take my dog here and question the honesty to the staff towards our pets before taking here again.
Awesome clinic . Friendly staff . They took excellent care of my pet snake.
Very good place!! I’m always nervous about going to a vet because I have a bunny and they need to be seen by someone with experience in treating exotic animals. Their care is much different than that of a cat or dog. This place was great with my little baby. They were pleasant on the phone when I was worried about him (thanks Dottie!) and then very nice when I was there. Thanks to all the ladies! - Julie
Amazing service amazing staff
Vets ,staff do a good job.will continue to bring Abby the puppy there
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very clearly cares about animals. Only down side is the parking lot is very small.
I have been a pet owner my entire life and have spent my fair share of time at the vet. Never have I felt strongly enough to write a review about basically any business, however, the VCA in Wakefield is by far the best experience I have ever had with a veterinarian office. Dr. Sip, who specializes in small animals, is extremely kind, and very thorough with her examinations. It was incredibly obvious that she cares deeply about animals and is very passionate about what she does for a living. Not only did she explain every detail of my pet's condition and aftercare regimen to me, but she gave me her email in case I had any questions, and called me several times to check on how my pet was doing. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. On more than one occasion, they have gone above and beyond to accommodate my work schedule, even staying open late to see me. When my pet passed away (to no fault of the staff at the VCA-he was old and very sick) the doctor sent me a card expressing her condolences and called to check in. I truly cannot express how great the VCA in Wakefield is. I would recommend them to any pet owner and I will continue to bring my pets there indefinitely.
I went in with my dog for an emergency because he was bleeding from his ear and it wouldn't stop and they said they couldn't see us because they were booked for appointments. What emergency vet takes appointments especially on a Sunday..I went to Mass Vet in Woburn and they were amazing!!
I have been going to them for years, with my 15 year old huskey Alaska until he passed and my 2 year old golden retriever. I highley recommend Dr. Mckneil and Dr. Pellater. Those are the only two I would rather go too. Dr.mckneil saw my dog alaska through his mass situation till the very end, she truley cares for your little fur babies, she has a place in her heart for animals and for you as a pet owner. Like I said I have been going to vca for years; also the people at the desk are kind, you get what you pay for the services you get.
I have been bringing my Shiba Inu, Nero, here since he was 8 weeks old. Truth be told, Nero would probably rate VCA a 1 star because he is mortified of the vet's office and shows off his Shiba scream in hopes that he can get people to believe he is being tasered. However, VCA Wakefield is amazing. They understand Nero's anxiety and once he gets there, they usually have a room waiting for him. He has to be sedated for his appointments because of how afraid he gets but the staff is so great with him. Dr. Franquin is one of the best vets, she comes in and discusses what Nero needs and what the action plan will be. She answers all of my questions and most importantly is so incredibly sweet to Nero. He gets fed hot dogs, which seems to ease his stress.. until the flow of hot dogs stops. Even at times when I have called because of something going on with Nero; they have provided information over the phone, have directed if he should go to the ER or if he should come in for an appointment. I cannot say enough great things about VCA, especially Dr. Franquin. I would highly recommend bringing your furry child here.
They've taken care of our pets for 20+ years
Great and caring staff
They are very caring and have reptile vets on site.
This place is wonderful - I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. She's been going here since she was a puppy. They can always get her in & all the staff is amazing.
Very happy here, VCA Wakefield is always helpful, easy to speak with someone if you have any questions, always a available if you have an emergency. Thorough and knowledgable with all my pup Ben's needs.
I have a small lion head rabbit. we we'll continue to drive to this place as long as they're open for business. The drive is a little under an hour with traffic and worth every minute of grief on the highway. They put up with my incessant questions and provide just enough hand holding to feel like I know what I'm doing when it comes to taking care of my rabbit. Their pricing is reasonable and they offer everything a pet owner could need and then some. If you are in the area and need a vet. This is it folks.
You can call at 10 AM with the message of "my bunny didn't eat his breakfast" and they listen, take you seriously, and fit you in the same day. Quite possibly saved my rabbit's life by seeing him so quickly.
The nicest staff and knowledgeable doctor's around. All 3 of my cats use VCA and we love the service. Reasonably priced for a vet and services
Love the staff here! Very friendly and helpful! Pet Doctors are the best here! Excellent care of my pets! My cat and cocktail love here too!
We took our bearded dragon here for his first vet visit. The doctor was great with him and very thorough. She gave us an information sheet about bearded dragons to take home and had great advice.
Dr. Lee and Heather were absolutely amazing. I brought my ferrets in for their yearly check up and one went into anaphylactic shock after receiving his distemper and they were so quick and attentive. They definitely saved his life and I couldn't be any more grateful!
Unbelievable staff that took me on short notice. Treated myself and my dog with the utmost respect and care. All future appointments have been book here
I can not speak highly enough about this place. I tragically lost two of my beloved babies in a short period of time having never lost a pet and they were absolutely phenomenal. Incredibly kind, accommodating, respectful and compassionate. They went out of their way to make this awful time a little more bearable. I can’t thank the entire staff enough for how amazing that they were. We even got beautiful boxes with our pet’s ashes and paw imprints with their names. It was incredibly thoughtful. Scheduling is always easy and their flexibility is unparalleled- twice I’ve booked online only to have them call to offer me an appointment ten times sooner than I expected, and well outside normal business hours which was exactly what I needed. I can’t believe how lucky we got deciding to go here- I’ve never seen a vet with more convenient hours. I took my younger cat there for the first time a little while ago and they were so great with her. We recently got a kitten (clearly I’m a cat lady but despite how it sounds, we only have two at the moment
Great animal hospital. Everyone there really cares and has always taken excellent care of my birds. They have a strong exotics and avian department, which is not easy to find.
Way expensive for any services rendered
It was my first time here and everyone was just super nice and friendly!! Thank you everyone!
We have two cats and a dog which we have been bringing here for the past two and a half years. The staff were nice and friendly, most of the doctors too. Even though the prices were a bit high, we didn't mind. We recently noticed that they require so many tests so many times. More specifically they diagnosed one of our cats with tooth cavity and said the ONLY way is to remove the touth. The took a blood sample costing around $120 and the procedure itself would have costed more than $1000. We didn't question their judgement and scheduled the procedure for the next month. When the time arrived, we mentioned that we lost a cat due to anesthesia, and asked them to be more careful. They got scared and said that they are hearing a murmur in the heart, which they didn't catch the previous month. They referred us to a specialist for further examination (they simply didn't want to accept responsibility). It would have costed us another $500 had we seen the specialist. Eventually I decided to bring my car to another vet (Banfield Animal Hospital) the next week, where they assured me that the touth was completely normal and didn't require any procedure!! The heart murmur was also not there!! Not only the VCA visit costed me $200, it would have costed me another $1500 along with an unnecessary procedure, pain and risk for my cat! Absolutely unbelievable...
The only place that takes care of our feathered friends
The clinic here is great! The staff are so kind and helpful. I had to make an urgent appointment on a Saturday morning and they fit me right in as a walk-in and I didn't have to wait more than 30 min. It is so sweet how they have a board with all the pets names scheduled that day on it to say hello and welcome. The vet was kind and knowledgeable but also efficient. All in all a great experience.
Super nice and knowledgeable, keep it up
Today we lost our sweet Hamster DJ. Your staff was so kind and compassionate with us. DJ was my 10 year old daughters therapy pet, and had helped her work through some really tough moments. Dr. Wang was so kind and patient with us while helping us through the process of letting her go. The little coffin was so beautiful and someone took the time to wrap our sweet baby in a little blanket. It is those small acts of kindness and caring that help the most. Thank you from the bottom of our broken hearts
We were in need of a new veterinarian because our prior could not seem to be able to help or diagnose my pup's issue. My wife and I heard about VCA and thought we would try. Thank God we did! From the very beginning VCA was extremely accommodating and understanding. The receptionist was able to get us an appointment within a week. Once we met our new doctor she was no only to help my pup with his current issue the doctor found that he has a heart problem as well. My wife and I , of course were quite upset but appreciated her knowledge. We can not thank VCA enough for helping our pup and now correcting his issue for a long healthy life. We have and will continue to refer VCA to our family and friends. Thank You.
My poor kitty was sick with oozing eyes, sneezing and feeling just plain crummy. I haven't been there before, and haven't had our kitties very long. So, I called them this morning, and they happened to have a 9am appt available. The staff was so friendly, and the vet , Dr. Simonelli, was so gentle, caring, and knowledgeable. Also very reasonably priced. Thank you VCA Wakefield! <3
They were great! My 11 week old kitten was very comfortable and got a shot. Dr. Gilmore and isa made him feel safe and welcome. He even had his name on a welcoming board for all the pets that day! So cute. Great great care 10/10 would recommend.
Awesome vets and staff! I trust VCA to provide the best care and advice for my pets.
Staff is very unprofessional. Take your hard earned money & best friend far away from this place. I would not trust them with anything. Waste of time and definitely do not care about you
So far very happy....our kitty, Harvey was sick and had gone to the Woburn Emergency Vet and was treated for an infection and received excellent care...we need a more full service regular vet and chose VCA on recommendation of the ER vet...at VCA We have seen both Dr. Pelletier and Dr. Goulard...they were both so good with him, and so were the vet techs...made the hugest fuss over him...they diagnosed a bladder stone and made swift, practical decisions on treatment...they were also very patient with us...Harvey has bounced back, and is feeling so much better...we even received followup phone calls to check in on our baby...would recommend them to anyone looking for a new vet hospital...
Excellent people. They actually care about the animals not just the money. Excellent Vets. Cheerful staff.
Very knowledgeable/helpful
Great place
Kind and caring staff
I am going to go back in may for right now my pets doing good and he takes meds he is a rabbit
Old, smelled bad.
The best.
Dr. Pelletier and her staff are amazing. They are highly skilled and compassionate caregivers who go the extra mile to take care of their patients. They have helped us through many ordeals and we cannot say enough about their efforts. With respect to primary care medicine, they never made us feel pressured to make vaccination decisions. They clearly explain all of the options available and the reasons to support their recommendations. We highly recommend them.
Friendly staff. Very knowledgeable and understanding and compassionate with your pet. Very inexpensive compared to other Veterinarians. Would recommend to anyone with a furry friend.
Nice staff they took very good care of my dog after he passed away and gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye
Dr Lee is very good my guinnea pig had and now has infection again she did a ultra sound for practice to check if it was bad gave her meds and last night it happened im very scared cause she said she can do a spay but my cute girl us six not sure if she will make it through she is very good just scared thank you dr lee your the best
Very happy with how they treat our dogs
Always caring staff and vets.
The people that work there are nice the doctors were nice seem to know what's going on a bit expensive
They take great care of my in-laws cat here. The staff are friendly and really know their stuff. Like most vets though this place is outrageously expensive. I think more people would take their pets to the vet is the fees weren't so high. Parking is a nightmare as there are only a handful of spots.
Thank you for Everything Dr. Brent & Staff! Special thanks to Deborah & Henrietta for helping me get through everything with multicolored!
Excellent vets and service. I just wish diagnostic tests weren't so expensive throughout the vet industry.
Very caring and helpful,very friendly
They treat our dogs well
Great for exotic animal care. We have brought our rabbit there multiple times as its hard to find a vet that understands their needs and VCA definitely does.
Their staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to rabbits. We come here for check-ups, nail trims, and health issues/elder care. They take weekend appointments and in case of emergency, they can fit you in as well.
I recently moved to the Wakefield area. I was still taking my dogs to the old vet which was 45 mins away. At the time this wasn't a problem but with recent events this became very hard. One of my dogs wasn't doing well, he got sick while I was on vacation. I was taking him to the old vet everyday for a week. At the end of the week, I left work early to check on him and he turned for the worse. I remembered seeing this vet hospital and it was close to my house. I didn't have much time so I rushed him to VCA. He didn't end up making it and passed shortly after we got there. This place was not only compassionate and caring to a hysterical girl that rushed frantically in the door to save her dog, but they were so sympathetic and calming. They didn't have to help me, I didn't even take my pets there. They took action as soon as I told them the problem. They went above and beyond, they were so sweet and caring. The front desk staff and the vet I talked to were all just so amazing. I recommend this place to anyone in the area, and will be taking my other dog here moving forward. Thank you to all the staff for your amazing help and compassion.
DR. LEAH GOULART AT VCA SAVED MY PUP'S LIFE. So glad we took our two previous pups to VCA. My 7yr old Cavachon has serious heart problems and it went undetected for who knows how long. Dr. Goulart is wonderful. She really cares. My pup is on medication which is helping him very much. We hope to have him around for awhile and if we didn't visit Dr. Goulart he would have been gone by now. We will continue to see DR. Goulart at VCA and I strongly recommend VCA to all my family and friends. VCA is a great place with a bright and caring staff. Thank you VCA!
Great vets here. Especially Mike Corcoran. Went to reebok specifically as he was only one of two vets in the state that worked on tropical freshwater fish and my 12-13" Tiger Oscar was really sick but didn't know what was going on. Mike was super friendly, professional and thorough. All of the staff there was great. Would recommend them to anyone
Excellent vet. We've used them for our cats and dog. They have done everything form routine check-ups to surgery. They are very compassionate and quite skilled.
Excellent
By far the best experience possible. The Doctors here care about their patients. The Techs are especially awesome. The care, the expertise of the office staff just incredible. No words to describe.
Great knowledgeable and friendly staff, affordable pet health services
Lovely people. Very attentive. Sadly saw them at a time I had to put my pet down do to a terminal condition but they were very considerate and accommodating. I highly recommend going. Oh, the also look after small animals like hamsters birds and exotics. Not every vet in the area does
Excellent place, I highly recommend it
I have been going to this place for almost nine years with my dog. Fortunately, until last year my dog has been very healthy, and I was satisfied until my dog finally got sick last year.. Although they are friendly enough, I have grown weary of their tendency to run lots of unnecessary tests without making any effort to treat the sick animal. My dog now has a chronic intestinal inflamation and ulcers because, in my opinion, they waited weeks to treat my dog last year so that they could get me to spend about $700 on various tests that all came back inconclusive. I finally begged them to try something to help the poor dog who had lost 10 lbs (from 65 to 55) after being sick for about six weeks. At my insistence, instead of doing additional expensive testing that they recommended, they finally gave him an antibiotic and he was improved within a few days. Instead of waiting for weeks and selling me lots of tests, they could have tried the medicine right away while waiting for the results of the tests, and the poor dog would have felt better a lot sooner. On the other hand, they would not have sold quite as many tests. My poor dog still has a residual problem that occasionally flares up in a bad way as it recently did. A recent ultrasound showed that he doesn't have tumors, but likely has ulcers and now chronic intestinal inflamation. I realize that this is a business, but when your pet is sick VCA Wakefiled seems to be mainly focused on selling you on testing rather than treating the sick animal. Unfortunately, when I speak with friends who go to other vets, this appears to be an all too common practice.among vets (pushing the testing rather than treating the animal). It is a lousy business model that preys on suffering animals and worried pet owners. I'm very unhappy with VCA Wakefield, and I'd like to find a vet who actually has a practice of treating the animals rather than being in the business of mainly selling various tests. I'd give them VCA Wakefield one star except for the fact that this seems to be how most vets practice, at least according to friends of mine.
The staff were so wonderful and knowledgeable. They super friendly and accommodating. I have an exotic animal, Gorda the turtle, and finding a vet that could treat her burnt eye around my area was difficult. The treatment she received was above an beyond my expectations! Gorda and I highly recommend them! Definitely a great environment for your pets to get the help they need! Awesome vet hospital
I take my ferrets to VCA Wakefield and am very happy with the knowledge and expertise of the vets there. Ferrets can have tricky medical needs and it is good to know that I can rely on my vet for help. I also really appreciate the divided waiting room area, separating the dogs from the smaller animals.
Long waits on the weekends, decent waits on the weekdays. Their waiting area is oddly set up and the dog area has the smallest space- which means they'd better all get along or there is nowhere else to go. I wish they would revamp the seating. Overall, decent service. They remember my dog and are always friendly. But they are a bit pricey.
Been coming here at least a decade for my bunnies. Had a bunny who stopped eating (g.i. stasis). Even though VCA Wakefield was fully booked on a Saturday, they were able to squeeze us in fairly quickly. Dr. Lee was a pleasure to deal with. She has excellent bedside manners and a wealth of knowledge (and an adorable Australian accent). She took the time to explain our options. I would trust to bring all of my bunnies to see Dr. Lee. Highly recommend.
A scene from my office visit: tech comes in, great... asks a few questions we a talk a bit, she leaves. I wait for 15-20 minutes vet comes in, “how are you guys?” Me: “we’ve been waiting...” her response, “ wow!! 15 minutes sure is a lifetime” she rolls her eyes now, I’m aware of how vet clinics operate, I’m aware that things happen and I’m aware 15 minutes in the room with a psycho dog isn’t exactly a lifetime, but it wasn’t just waiting in the room, waiting in the waiting room too and fighting against my puppys immature public manners. She then proceeds to tell me that the health certificate I’m there for isn’t valid unless it’s signed 72 hours before I leave and mutters about some USDA document that needs filing and it never was so she states “you can get the certificate but I don’t know what good it will be, the other document WONT make it to New York in time.” In other words; she has no clue what’s going on. And neither does anyone else there for that matter. I know this because: a) we had been told by the previous vet the appointment we made was perfectly acceptable time-frame and b) weve never had a good experience since day one. We signed up for the junior paws plan and the cost was totally screwed up because not only did we pay for the plan, but they charged us for the services that had supposedly been included and we had to come back to the office to correct it. My husband took my dog there for flea prevention and they sent him home with heart worm preventative. She went for vaccines and titer for health certificate and they forgot her vaccines (I wasn’t there for that one either but someone at the clinic should have been able to look at my dogs file and treat her accordingly). The response from the vet absolutely set me off and I cancelled my plan immediately, but she wasn’t even apologetic about it, she simply told me to find a different vet clinic. (Hit the nail on the head there, dummy!) A person like that obviously has no pride for her job or the practice if she is so dismissive of a complaint a person might have about their experience and genuinely make an effort to correct it, or at the very least, ease my anxiety by genuinely taking an interest and making more of an effort to establish rapport with a client. I am in vet school myself and we are taught from day one how important professionalism is, and she is doing a major disservice to the industry with her rude behavior. The incident absolutely didn’t have to escalate but it did, and as a result, they lost a client—-which obviously didn’t mean much. So thanks.
They treated my cat very well. Though their prices can be on the higher side
Edited. 1st I was mad when I wrote the review. Since then, thy called me, fixed the problem and now we have an open line of communication. 4 stars in my book. That is how you handle an angry customer. Well done VCA
Too expensive
Very friendly people
My dog gets excellent, professional and thorough care here. The staff is very caring and kind. I'm a new dog mother and they are very patient with me as well! We participate in the CareClub and there are so many benefits to that I highly recommend it to everyone. I really appreciate the follow up phone calls I get after a visit to see how my dog is doing.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Wakefield Animal Hospital. As a family we had to make a very difficult decision about a 17-year-old member of our family. At no point did we feel anything but compassion and empathy from the staff, and Dr. Astrid Kruse in particular. Dr. Kruse gave her medical opinion, but at no point did we feel any pressure from her to follow her suggestion. She made sure our little buddy felt not even the slightest hint of pain throughout the process. And, in his final moments, he finally looked at peace. It was an incredibly difficult night, but the staff was amazing, and I highly recommend them to you and everyone you know. Thank you, Dr. Astrid, and the entire staff at the WAH. Rest in peace, Walter.
