Great people
Personal attention from Vets and support staff, always caring and compassionate; more expensive, but worth it because they have access to specialists, when necessary and are open daily with extended hours. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
We have been going to this VCA office for over 4 years and I have to say they are wonderful. They educate pet owners and Dr. Harris is so kind and gentle with our dog who is anxious at the vets. All the staff is patient, professional and kind. I drive a few towns away to go to this vets office and it's worth it. They have great hours too, open 7 days a week which is excellent for busy families. If you are seeking a new vet, I highly recommend this office. Keep up the great work!
My vet referred me to VCA when our pitbull was having severe skin issues. Dr. Shumaker was so wonderful and helpful with his problems, and she was thorough with her exam and the tests for my dog. They really know their stuff, and he's been doing worlds better ever since. Dr. Shumaker personally called to follow up which was very appreciated. The entire staff was very professional and caring. I would definitely recommend VCA.
Very friendly staff and they'll take great care of your pet and answer any question you have. They handled my cat well even though she gets hissy.
Very friendly and kind staff do an excellent job of caring for pets. Have taken my pets there for years and have received consistently great service and care.
We had a horrible experience. They thought ours pets we're in top shape when I knew they needed a few things. In addition they gave us meds for our dog that are dangerous to cats when we brought our cat in! WTF?!?
It's expensive, but you can tell the staff genuinely cares about animals. They apologized profusely for being late and we only waited 10 minutes.
yeah
Staff, doctors fantastic place is clean & welcoming
Have done superb job of taking care of my cat for nearly a dozen years. Very competent.
"Virgo" was very friendly! I didn't meet any of the vets, but it was very clean and pet friendly!
The staff treat my pet as they would their own Made me feel calm with the procedure being done They answered. All questions
They take care of our animals and they care
The staff here has been great with Murph. Very focused on finding the right solution
Extremely caring Vets
I Really like this place, staff is nice, highly recommend.
We recently switched to VCA from Banfield and couldn’t be happier. The staff is super friendly and great with my pet who be fussy about going to the vet!
Always take care of our pups!
They treated my dog great she had a small cut under her eye that was gaping put her on antibiotics and now she has a e collar so she doesn't scratch the cut. The only problem with the bill was over $400 somehow they got it down to 200 which was a little bit more reasonable. I just can't believe how expensive it is to take your dog to the vet no matter what it is.
I called yesterday afternoon because I needed a quick appt for someone to look at my dog’s eye as it was swelling pretty badly and I was afraid there was something in it. The response I got from the woman on the phone was, and I quote, “We don’t do eyes.” ???? Don’t go to VCA. Please. I’ve heard horrible things and now I know why. Try Community Animal Hospital or Putnam long before you step foot in a disgusting VCA.
We have been taking our dogs here for many years. We have found that they are a bit pricier than other Vet's in the area, but we only trust this one. They are very honest and don't try to nickle and dime you. We will always take our animals here.
Nice location and office. Pretty expensive.
Maybe they're more expensive than other vets, not that we really compared, but it's worth it. Not only are the hours so convenient, but no matter which techs or doctors are on staff we know our pets will be well taken care of. With a cat and dog we've been to the Northboro VCA dozens of times and have never had a bad experience.
Nice staff. Very attentive
We have been going to VCA Northboro for 25-30 years for care of both dogs and cats. We have been pleased with their service and plan to continue using them.
Excellent and supportive staff
Good place good service . Kinda expensive . have parking . not handk access as far as I could see by the entrance.
Doctors are great but wait time could be way better.
Great vets easy to get appt good emergency care
My name is David Hill and my Mastiff's named Lex. He was seen at the Northborough VCA on Tuesday. The doctors and the staff in Northborough are exceptional! That they are truly a credit to their respective professions is an understatemnet and I'm deeply grateful that they were there. It ended up being medically necessary to bring Lex to Tufts emergency and it turned out he had an enlargement of the right side of his heart, with fluid buildup. As it happens, my last dog (his name was Raleigh), was given an extra year of life by an early stage diagnosis of Lymphoma. If not for the Northboro VCA we'd have lost him a lot sooner. I and my family are deeply grateful for all the really wonderful people helping furry people... lol... Please accept this commentary with my appreciation for your reading it. Best wishes to you and yours!
Not very happy with VCA. Not only are they very expensive, more than my own doctors cost for an exam, I find follow-up next to null and have issues refilling prescriptions that they themselves prescribed. My dog was cut off cold turkey from a nerve pain medication due to slack care at VCA. The pharmacy called VCA three times to get the prescription refilled....
awesome people
Since we moved to Northborough we have taken our dog to this animal hospital. Buddy was always taken great care of by the Doctors here. Recently we had to make a difficult decision with him due to his age and failing health. They walked us through all the options and made what could have been a painful process for all involved gentle, caring, and dignified. While Buddy has gone, all the staff made us feel they cared for the outcome for Buddy and we are grateful for this memory they left on us.
I went once, recently, for a dog we are in the process of getting ownership of. I went to see if this dog had an ear infection. The staff was nice, however, this appointment cost me $270. I was there for about 40 minutes, spent most of my time sitting in the room waiting and was only in the company of the staff for under 10 minutes. It seems way overpriced, I think they jack up the prices on people because we love our animals. I typically go to a different vet but this was the last place that this dog had been to, and I couldn't bring her medical history with me anywhere else yet since she is not legally mine for now. I more than likely wont go back. I have had the same or better care from other places and it has been beyond more affordable.
Cannot say enough good things about VCA Northboro!!! I had to take my 14-week old puppy in for an emergency and while I was a crying wreck, everyone there was so supportive and calm. They explained the entire procedure, gave me frequent updates, and even stayed after hours to help my little guy out. When I went back for the check-up, everyone remembered him and came in to check on him. The attention, support and most importantly, the care received was excellent. To everyone who works there: Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I give this hospital a solid 5!! The people here are awesome, friendly, and fast.
If you love your dog that much this is NOOOOTTTTT the place! My dog got a little sick one from giving birth and two from eating a chalupa (both just took a toll on her body)... point being kept bringing her to a VCA in Northborough, (KEEP READING TILL THE END!) they were always so busy and understaffed and were clueless. One time it took me one hour just cause i begged them to give her something! and they wanted to charge me a visit fee just so the doctor could tell me which diet food she should eat, when she was just seeing the days before. Ridiculous! They charged me so much money over the span of two weeks to keep telling me that my dog was okay. I knew she wasn't! they kept charging me crazy amounts of money for more tests and more tests. And not one medication was ever prescribed to my dog. I was so tired of spending money and my dog not getting better, worst she was. I googled and saw the reviews at this VETERINARY EMERGENCY GROUP located in Needham st in Newton (look them up! ) . It was a far drive but I was sick of seeing my dog sick! SO i brought her and her puppies. And it was the best choice i ever met! I was able to see every single step the doctor took from x-rays to ultra sound to blood work, very detailed, she knew from looking at my dog that she wasn't feeling well! not every vet can see that this vet could! they were so amazing to all my pups trimmed their nails gave them so much love and the best of all, she did the tests she knew needed to be done! The amount of knowledge of this vet DR KRONE was incredible! And like i said that fact that its all windows and you see eveything! there is no such a thing as ''i ll be ri ght back with your dog'' You get to see the behind the scenes 100% ! Yes its an emergency vet so the fee is a bit more than a normal vet, however its worth every single penny! VCA charged me the same or more over the span of weeks and did nothing!!! This place made my dog feel better in a matter of hours, and for the first time on the ride home she was sleeping peacefully, and she has been getting better and better by the day! They were my angels! I Recommend them to anyone and everyone! I guarantee you that you rather spend a one time decent fee but know ur dog is going to feel better, than to spend hundreds little at a time that add up to much more and still have a sick baby dog! This is my new VET! Grateful for DR KRONE, CHELSEA, And JACKIE @ VETERINARY EMERGENCY GROUP AT NEWTON, MA!
I love the care that I received from this fabulous hospital...I truly feel that my both "Fernando & Gracie" are always well taken care of when we first enter the building.
Went there about a month ago for the very heavy heart my dog peanut who was with me for 15 years was getting very ill and old and it was on a Saturday and I could not bring him to my regular vet so I brought him to the Westbrook Animal Clinic the vet was very nice all the employees were very sympathetic to me having to put peanut down they told me that I could take as much time as I want after the vet came in and examined him . I would recommend anyone who would have to go there with any type of pet emergency or just to have a regular checkup. The girls at the desk were pure angels.A little time had passed and I got a envelope in the mail with a hand written note from the doctor and a sympathy card that brought a tear to my eye .Thank you so much for your kind words Love you all Rob Ciunci
I have had a Dog all my life 40yrs. Now I have a 3year old female pit bull and she Does not like everyone and these Dogs are very protected by there humor. Wonderful staff and care
Open 7 days a week great for your pets and emergencies
I have brought my animals here for over 20 years. They're simply the best around. I love that when I bring my dog I know there's no other place he could be in better care than at northboro vca.i just recently rescued a puppy and they have helped me every single step of the way and assured me that my new member of my family is healthy and happy. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
The staff are great. We have been bringing our dogs there for over 10 years. Can't say enough about them. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Great practice. Really care about your animals.
Great crew
Hate going to the vet but Northboro has always done right by my family. Had Toy Poodles for years and wild cats.
Save your time and money. They are more expensive than other animal hospitals with poor techs. I muzzeled my 85 lb GSD and brought him in for a check up and shots. A nail clipping is part of the over priced check up. They gave him his first in a series of two shots but said he was to upset to have his nails clipped. I said fine, he has to come back next week, we can do it then. Brought him back and the the tech says we will TRY to clip his nails. Not only did they not clip his nails, but they did not even give him his shot. Brought him to Marlborough Animal hospital for 1/2 the price. They gave him the shot and the nails were $10. Well worth it!
Wonderful people who take great care of our furry family members.
A week ago my dog was attacked by a pit bull. The care that he received after the accident was fantastic. He needed surgery and Dr. Ruggiero came in and checked on him on her day off. Yesterday we had an appointment for a check up and bandage change, as he was walking into the room to get checked, my dog's artery burst. Dr. Ruggiero stopped the bleeding and got into my car with my dog so we could go to Tufts for emergency surgery. She saved his life! The staff at VCA are not only well trained, they genuinely care for your pets.
Friendly and caring staff
Love this place! The best Vet place I've ever brought my dogs to. Great staff and Dr's. The place is clean & spotless every time we come. They answer all my questions and give great advice. I'll never leave.
Great employees, truly care for the pets, always available.
Might be expensive but I would rather pay more and know my pets will be ok, instead of paying less somewhere else and not knowing. My dog has had two surgeries in the last 2 months. First surgey at vca Lancaster to remove a cancerous tumor and another one with a specialist out here in northborough last week and now my dog is great again.
