Staff is so nice, but they definitely just want money. Multiple days, thousands later, no answers. So sad that animals don't come first. Other vets wants to know why, if this is our regular vet, these tests weren't done. So sad that animals don't come first with them and they don't care

They don't care about your pets they only care about your wallet. Please don't take your pet here!! Seriously, if you value your animals comfort and well-being beware of this vet. My family and I were taking my cat Marco here for a few years and they were constantly telling us he was unhealthy and that he needed all of these expensive surgeries and dental corrective services even though he showed no symptoms and no signs of irritation. We took him to another vet for a second opinion after they wrongly prescribed Marco a medication for two weeks that (after doing some research) we found if taken for more than 7 days can be lethal to felines. When confronted about this they were extremely rude and essentially told us it was our problem. Our new vet has said Marco is in perfect health and that going through with any of the dental work they were constantly pressuring us and guilting us to get him would have been extremely painful for Marco and would have decreased his quality of life. They don't care about your pets they only care about your wallet.

I have been going to Shawsheen for several months since moving to the area and have been extremely impressed with the professionalism, cleanliness and friendliness of staff. I am so glad that we decided to try Shawsheen. My dog has had several issues and the doctors have been incredibly friendly, informative and have taken great care of her well we find solutions. The doctors follow up after each visit to make sure things are going well and the technicians are very clear with instructions and follow-up steps. They make sure I understand the pricing of everything before committing to a treatment plan. All the rooms are clean and the front desk staff are very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Shawsheen to anyone looking for a vet for their dog. I don't have a cat, but I do love the fact that they have a separate waiting area for cats and separate rooms to see cats. I'm sure if I had a cat I would really appreciate the extra effort to reduce the stress of having them be around dogs.

So happy I took my kitty to Shawsheen Animal Hospital. Great staff, very friendly and doctor was great at explaining treatment and actually treating my cat. I was taking him to Bandfield at Petsmart and they were not good at all. Happy I got a flyer in the mail about Shawsheen because it’s actually closer to my house and makes me feel better about taking my cat somewhere they actually know what they’re doing.

Took our very sick dog there. Was told by 2 other vets to put her to sleep or have $8000 surgery. Dr. LaBlanc is wonderful very honest and compasionate! So glad we found them! Definitely never going back to old vet that we used for 3 cats and 1 dog for many years! This will always be where all our pets go for now on! Love them great caring people!

I can’t say enough good things about Shawsheen Animal Hospital. From the front office staff, to the vet tech, and the vet. Everyone was so kind and caring to my dog. We walked out of there a lot less anxious than we did when we walked in. The prices were also very reasonable, especially for such a nice well-kept place.

Everyone was very nice and friendly! It’s a very nice clean place. My cat was surprisingly very well behaved and loved them and ate all the treats. They go over ALL prices with you and explain everything well. I feel like they are very reasonably priced. They let you choose what you want to do along with guidance of what they think you should do. I was very pleased!

Surprisingly disappointing experience after attempting to make a switch to SAH. Staff were friendly and accommodating with making a same day appointment and obtaining records from my dogs former vet in preparation for my visit, but that's where it ended. I arrived 10 minutes early as requested to complete paperwork. I was called into a room shortly after and approached by...A tech? The doctor? No introduction, asked many questions, typed more than talked to me, and replied a little too quickly with no eye contact, "ya...ya...yup." A little rough with my dog who cried from her ministrations to get a sample from her ear. Proceeded to quote me costs that were considerably higher than my former vet. Left the room to "get the doctor", (so I guess she was a tech after all) and that's when I waited...20, 25, 30...31...32 minutes. That's it. Went to the desk and said I'm leaving. Never in the 8 years of pet ownership have I waited that long. I reentered the "empty" waiting room and offered to pay for the ear sample taken, but nothing else. The office manager offered an apology, which wasn't her fault. Offered a complimentary physical at a later date and said they were running behind. I turned and looked at the empty waiting room, which she then noticed, and made a different excuse for the doctors absence. They pardoned my visit without a charge at that point which was kind. The only credit I can give this establishment is for its cleanliness and friendly service by the receptionists and business manager. Shame on the Vet...they lost my business of 3 dogs and any referrals made to friends and family. Sorry but I cannot recommend this establishment.

I've been bringing my 8 year old lab mix dog here for 4 years. Every time we bring him for a check up the staff is always friendly. My dog hates the vets and they are able to make relax and calm down in minutes.
