This is an amazing practice: very caring staff, excellent vet, beautiful office. Love my vet, she is smart, warm and takes the time to explain. Bring both my cat and dog to her and feel they get the very best. They have their own pharmacy and super clean and well laid out office. The decor is great and makes you feel safe and welcome. You can tell a lot of love went into creating this pratice and it shows

Wish I could give 10 stars! The doctor and staff are beyond wonderful. I was super freaked out about my sick kitty and they were kind and compassionate, and I felt involved and informed in both the diagnosis and treatment processes. Also, my normally feisty cat was remarkably calm around everyone. They are great with animals.

I wanted to have more stars to give to this place. I have nothing but love to give since it's what I get from them. The staff is great and very carring. The place is clean, beautiful and comfortable to animals and people. And the vet, Dr Field, is really good at her job. We now live over 40 miles away but we still prefer to drive with our cat to see them! I recommend Powder Mill Animal Hospital to everyone.

Ever since our puppy has been home with us the staff of Powder Mill Animal Hospital have been nothing short of phenomenal with her care. Shots, immunizations and preventive care have all been covered by the team at Powder Mill. The office is clean and looks very professional. State of the art equipment and they have the expertise to work with all types of animals! They have all gained our respect and are always friendly and willing to provide answers to all our our questions about Cammy. Top notch crew, would put 50 stars if I could!

We recently moved to the area and our two cats were due for their shots just weeks after the move. I looked at reviews for many area vets, but decided to try this new place because the location is extremely convenient to our house and they have some evening hours. Dr Field and tech Rebecca were friendly and helpful to me and exceedingly kind to my stressed-out cats, even when one of them became aggressive partway through the visit. Dr Field even called me the next morning to make sure they had calmed down alright once we got home! Super impressed and will definitely be back!

Dr. Fields is a life changer for our dog Ellie. Ellie has serious anxiety and fear aggression so we have had a lot of difficulty at other hospitals. Dr. Fields and her staff have treated Ellie with compassion, understanding, and love. They have offered so much support for her...and us too! We went there for the second time today and Ellie was much more at ease. She didn't see Dr. Fields or her staff as dangerous, which is unbelievable for her. The staff there is incredible, talented, and gifted. We are grateful we have them!

On a Friday night my precious companion started exhibiting strange symptoms and by 5:15 am on Saturday he was in full blown distress. Neither of us had slept well and he was yelping and drooling and in obvious extreme pain. I was in a panic. Now PMAH does not open until 8 on the weekends but I called anyway and left a message because I just didn't know which emergency room to bring him to and they had all his records, so I had to at least let them know what I planned to do. Can you believe that Dr. Field actually CALLED ME BACK AT 5:30am?? (seriously, whose vet does that?) She was able to calm me down, ask some pointed questions and squeeze me in as soon as they opened if I felt we could just wait 2 hours. It felt like an eternity but I figured waiting in an emergency room at a strange vet hospital 40 mins away would've taken just as long to get him admitted. So that's what we did. Her staff is equally amazing. Cheerful even early on a Saturday morning. Helpful and understanding even though I was in tears and freaking out. They ran all diagnostics and even humored me by taking a few extra xrays just to "make sure" and sent us home with pills and reassurance that it was not fatal. They followed up at noon and twice over the weekend Dr. Field actually read my email updates to their email box and replied to them within an hour each time which I never expected. Who does that? Not a single vet in my experience has EVER done that. On Sunday when I felt he still had not improved they AGAIN took me in immediately and without a prescheduled appointment and no questions asked. This time he actually perked up when we arrived because he knew not to be scared of them and it seemed like the entire staff was helping calm ME down more than my dog. That's a true sign of compassionate care (and is true of both human doctors and vets), it's an amazing bedside manner along with first class care, and true concern for their patients that makes this place outstanding and the people who run it real heroes in my eyes. Thank you Powder Mill Animal Hospital staff, and Dr Field especially. My dog is everything to me and I am so grateful you are there for both of us.

Such personalized and individual care. They make my dog and I feel so welcome and at home. What Dog gets excited when he sees the vet? Mine! Building is super clean and beautifully decorated as well. Dr field is on call 24 hrs a day.

Had my first visit today with my elderly and complicated cat (he is on a lot of medication) and was very pleased by it. The facility is totally new, up to date with equipment, very clean and there are separate exam rooms for cats and dogs which is a great idea. They have rooms for procedures as well as a separate room for operations. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, gentle and accommodating. The office is in a convenient location on Route 62 across from the Stop and Shop in Acton. They also have accommodating hours and are open on both Saturday and Sunday and open until 7PM on Friday which is great for people who work on weekdays. I just moved to West Concord last year and I'm glad to find a veterinary office I like that is close by to where I live!

Really nice and clean place. Know how to keep care of your pet. Nice and caring, knowledgeable, gentle. Very easy and quick. Nice and quiet. Cat only waiting area! Plus cat only room for the exam. All high tech equipment. They know what they’re doing!

My pup and I had a very positive experience. Dr. Field and the staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable while keeping a down to earth attitude. The facility itself is well designed with different areas in the waiting room and spacious exam rooms.

I brought my cat here because it was open on Sundays and we had a slight emergency. The doctor and vet tech are absolutely amazing! They were able to take him right away and brought to my attention other health concerns that my regular vet missed!!!! Needless to say I am changing his care over Powder Mill from now on. Gorgeous place. They were so nice to my 3 year old rescue who gets very nervous. The other thing I love is that the waiting room has different sections separated by half-walls so that my nervous dog doesn't have to interact with other dogs coming in. Love it there!

Dr. Field and her staff stayed past noon on a Sunday last year to admit Moxie the rescued malamute as a new patient. We had picked her up the night before. She had been neglected in terms of veterinary care and they responded to our concern by seeing her without delay. Dr. Field gave us detailed, thoughtful advice on vaccinations and better nutrition. The best way we can support Dr. Field is to tell our friends to take their pets to her!

We moved to the are a year ago and were looking for a local vet nearby, and this animal hospital has far surpassed any other animal hospital I have taken our pets to in the past 10 to 15 years. The receptionists are friendly, kind and always helpful. There is never a wait, they are never over booked or behind. I have two little kids right now and sometimes bring more than one dog with me and they always offer the kids toys, or to help bring the dogs to the car. I highly recommend powder mill, I've never been disappointed with our services or anyone I've worked with.

I stopped in for the first time today as my lovely cat, Sunny Dey, was having difficulties breathing. The office staff was wonderful, and they were able to quickly get me in for an appointment. Dr. Field took excellent care of him. They do the diagnostic testing (X-rays, bloodwork, and the like) on site, so I didn't have to wait to get details on his condition. As of right now, my cat is sleeping comfortably upstairs, and Dr. Field called multiple specialists to make sure that he could quickly get the follow-up care that he needs. I know that he's in good hands here, and we will be bringing our other animals here for future medical care.

Huge thank you to the amazing ladies at Powder Mill Animal Hospital in Acton! I called around when our regular vet could not perform the surgery my 12 yo dog needed to remove a foreign body (aka pillow stuffing) from her stomach. They did not hesitate to work with me and took her in as soon as I could get her there this morning. When I arrived to pick her up she was resting comfortably behind the desk with the ladies. The doctor’s own daughters even made her get well cards! These people showed true compassion! They saved our baby girl while saving us a hell of a lot of money! I am forever grateful! She still has a lot of life left in her! Thank you so so much!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Powder Mill Animal Hospital and Dr. Field. We only had our dog for a few months when she started experiencing some weird symptoms. After months of working with another local vet, who was very dismissive, we decided to take her to Powder Mill for a second opinion. They were able to get her right in, and Dr. Field was amazing. With her help and some diagnostics, Dr. Field helped determine the probable cause, referred us to a wonderful surgeon (in this case, a specialist was required), and our dog is finally feeling like herself again. Dr. Field also just performed an extraction on our dog's abscessed tooth -- one that again, the other vet had dismissed and said that an extraction would be "too difficult" to be worth it. The procedure went just fine -- it certainly wasn't too difficult for Dr. Field! And I noticed they even clipped her nails while she was in for her procedure, not that we'd asked! The entire staff is wonderful, and the facility is amazing -- clean, modern and comfortable. Dr. Field has a wonderful bedside manner and isn't afraid to get down on the dog's level to help them feel more comfortable. I appreciate the detailed reports sent by email, and Dr. Field's detailed phone calls about diagnostics and options. I'm so thankful that we decided to go for that second opinion -- we definitely will only be seeing Dr. Field from now on!

We just adopted a golden retriever in January and it turned out that she had eaten 4 large rocks at some point before that. The staff at Powdermill were fantastic at helping us navigate surgery options and scheduled her right away. Dr. Field and her family actually stayed late into the evening to make sure Molly was OK before releasing her to us. Our dog has been recovering nicely since her her surgery. We have found the staff at Powder Mill to be so friendly, caring, they communicate well, and really go above and beyond to make sure our fur baby is health and happy. We highly recommend!

I have been going here for a year. Today was our second appt. I called because my cat had a suspicious rash on his stomach. They were able to see us right away! They are so friendly and accommodating ! I absolutely l love going here! Would highly recommend .

I can't say enough good things. I am a newer cat mom. I have never been to a vets office before. Our cat had a nasty absence when I called. The vet and vet tech were amazing, very easy to talk to right from the first call. They were so reassuring that they could take care of my cat and make it work somehow. The whole time they kept telling me we're going to make this work for you don't worry. Fortunately the fee was actually low enough where I didn't have to worry. And I am so grateful my cat can return to her normal healthy self as soon as she's healed.

Love Dr.Field! She is smart, tells it like it is while also being kind. She really cares for her animals and people. The prices are fair and the schedule is very flexible. She even came to my school (I teach) and taught the students about being a vet’ I know it is small, but I like the pets names who are coming in that day on the wall. I called Powder Mill Animal Hospital on a whim because my current vet is a little far away. Powder Mill was able to get my new patient, sick cat an appoint within a couple hours. We ended up having an awesome experience with them. Everything about it was 5 stars. The vet, Dr. Field, was great and communicated the issues and options in a comprehensive way. The vet tech, the facility, welcome gift, everything, was all perfect. I have been meaning to switch to a local vet for awhile and I am so happy I called. We most definetly found our new vet.

I and my critters are so grateful for everyone at PMAH! Dr. Field is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and empathetic, and all the staff are beyond lovely. This is the only place I take my animals, I’m happy to make the hour hike up north for the care they provide. Not only are they fantastic with domestics, but they’re clearly experienced with exotics. I’ve brought my chinchilla, skink, and dog in and each of them were given thorough, gentle, and expert check ups and treatment. Before I discovered Dr Field, I was always got the feeling that the vets seeing my exotics had a general understanding of the animals but weren’t experts by any means. Now I leave every appointment confident that I have the best information I can get on my animals’ health and care. Their prices are also very reasonable; I just picked my pup up from the most affordable dental cleaning I’ve found anywhere in Massachusetts, and they clearly did an excellent job. Thanks so much from everyone in my little zoo!

After having to chase around an animal hospital (TUFTS) for 3 days with questions I had about my guinea pig that had been in the ER earlier in the week with Mites and then came down with a digestive issue. I decided to search for a local exotic animal hospital. I sent them an email in the evening (past hours they were closed), and the owner Dr. Field emailed me back within minutes and took me the next day. Her and her staff are VERY knowledgeable and took great care of my guinea pig at a VERY AFFORDABLE cost. The animal hospital is VERY clean also.

They sound like a great vet, too bad I am unable to speak from experience, because they refused to see my pet baby common Snapping Turtle, captive bred. Instead directing me to the Tufts Animal Hospital, which I’ve seen overwhelmingly bad reviews on. If you have an exotic reptile, pray that this place will even see you.

We brought our elderly dog here when he wasn't feeling well. They stayed open late on Superbowl Sunday just to see him. The facility is clean and comfortable and the cost of care if very reasonable. We have since had his teeth cleaned. We were nervous because he is an elderly pug, but they called us several times to update us on the status of our sweet dog. It really put us at ease knowing he was in such caring, capable hands. The owner/vet has gone above and beyond for us, and we are very happy to have stumbled upon this place.
