All of the doctors and staff at Pittsfield Veterinary give exceptional care to animals and their owners. My dog recently was attacked by another dog resulting in the need for her left front leg to be amputated. Her surgery and recovery has gone so well that just two months later she is a happy and healthy dog, living a full life. She runs and climbs up and down stairs as if nothing has changed. She is such an inspiration to me and I am so very grateful to Pittsfield Veterinary for all their great care... they have given her a new lease on Life. ~ Renée & Zoë Lenox, MA P.s. I have had some emergencies and was accommodated with excellent care and have several beloved pets relieved of suffering with compassionate end of life care. My dog, cat , and I recently switched to this vet. We are all very happy we did! The desk staff is helpful , friendly, and knowledgeable. The building is clean and spacious, and , because coming to the vet is stressful for ME, the view of the mountains from the window is peaceful and calming. Which can only be a good thing for my animal friends! Our vet, Dr. Barclay, has been wonderful. She clearly has a real connection with animals and has been very accessible for me and patient with my countless questions. I initially went to other local vets because of reviews I read that said Pittsfield Vet was "expensive". Not necessarily. My cat had two UTIs within four months, the first time, treated by my former vet There was only a difference of $5 between the two bills. Even if it were more, it would have been worth it!

I love how all these "reviews" are so positive. I have read some REAL reviews elsewhere online and they are not positive at all. I am doing research for someone I know who recently had a VERY BAD experience with RUDE technician there. The technician was uncaring and unprofessional. A very sick dog was brought into them, and was clearly in physical pain. The technician was ruff and uncaring when handling this dog and was about to do a procedure (which under the conditions would have been very painful for the dog and the tech should have known not do to this) When the owner gasped and ask that she not do this the technician was VERY RUDE to the owners. Those people love that dog very much, that YOU did not seem to care about. BAN MANNERS, BAD FOR BUSINESS. Simple concept.

I have been bringing my animals here for years and the staff here are always friendly and knowledgeable, the place clean and organized. Besides general care over the years for cats, rats, and hamsters , I've had two rats and one dwarf hamster that had neuter surgery or tumor removals done here with no complications during or after, and I've had to have three animals put to sleep. One of whom was my 20 year old cat. You couldn't ask for more caring, respectful people in this situation. They took care of everything for us, and even when we had animals pass and just wanted to get them cremated they took care of that, too. Medications, questions, anything they're just a phone call away for their patients in my experience.

I'm not able to express how happy I've been with the service my critters and I have received at Pittsfield Vet. Dogs, Cats, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits and several birds.Most of the staff is exceptional. Ive been taken care of for minor and major situations . The only thing that could be better is a full time groomer. Which has nothing to do to do with the Medical help we receive.

This is a first-rate veterinary practice. We took our dog to Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital on an emergency basis, having never been here before, and were seen right away. We were treated with the utmost courtesy, compassion and professionalism by everyone we came in contact with from front-desk to medical staff. Our good, wonderful dog got the highly skilled care he needed, immediately. The facility is immaculate, spacious and cheerful. Google will only let me give five stars. This practice deserves a galaxy.

Our dog Bailey had a problem with a very bad cough. I called Pittsfield Vet and the receptionist was terrific. She gave me an appointment right away. Within less than a half hour from my call I saw Dr Reynolds. After a very thorough exam the doctor prescribed some antibiotics to address Bailey's cough. I was extremely pleased with everyone involved in Bailey's care.

It has been over a year since we brought Lego home from the shelter with some serious medical needs. The entire staff was wonderful diagnosing her mysterious ailments, performing surgery, and caring for her. Lego is now happy, healthy, and pain free. Having just returned for a health check visit, Lego was warmly greeted at the front deck (everyone remembered her) and lovingly cared for during the check up and blood work. Every one that I spoke with was friendly. However, I had to wait 20 mins to have the doctor see my dog (annual check up) when two other dogs went in to get their rabies shot when I was there before they even got there. This is not acceptable. I should have gotten a discount on my bill for waiting so long.

Great community supporter. I bring all of my dogs and cats to Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital. It is one of the best hospitals in the County. All doctors and techs are very caring and professional. They are also one of the very few hospitals that help the local shelters and rescue organizations. I am part of a Community Cat TNR (trap neuter return) organization and only a few hospitals in the county will work with the feral and stray cats that we try to help. Pittsfield is one of and the biggest supporter of ours and has the capacity to help us the most. They are also the ONLY hospital in Berkshire County that supports the Berkshire Humane Society CATSNiP (low cost spay/neuter) program for owned cats, on a weekly basis.
