If I could leave 0 starts here I would. I got a chameleon for a new pet, and never having one before, brought it into Oceanside Animal Hospital when I thought it wasn't doing well. They assured me they were equipped to deal with more than just a cat or dog, so I trusted them and went in. After multiple visits and hundreds of dollars, I had no answers, and a chameleon who seemed to be doing worse. I found a new vet, who did a full over physical on my chameleon, and asked me more questions in one visit than any Doctor ever did at Oceanside. She recommended so many changes in his diet and environment that was never even touched upon at Oceanside. Within a few weeks, he was almost 100% better, and actually looking happy! If you have an exotic pet, don't go here......they will just take your money and pretend to treat it :(

Excellent Doctor. Very caring and compassionate from the Doctors through the entire staff. Actually closely followed up after sick visit. Nice modern facilities. Able to make home visits when necessary! Rare today. Highly recommend.

My pet ferret of seven years, whom I adored, recently had a stroke and had to be put down. Dr Blake and her staff were so kind and professional throughout the ordeal. Her exam was thorough, she presented a differential, gave me options and advice. I felt taken care of.

Dr.Blake is one of the best vets I have been too, she went above and beyond to try and help me when my reptiles were sick. I highly recommend going to ocean side!

I am so grateful that I was referred to Oceanside. My Gus is a rescue that suffers from severe fear aggression and I have been very hesitant to bring him to the vet. Dr. Blake and the entire staff have been so sympathetic and understanding to Gus' needs. They take their time with him and make sure that he does not feel intimidated or scared. I have seen huge strides with Gus and him being more social. I can't thank OAH enough for their knowledge, understanding and compassion that they have shown Gus and I. Would highly recommend Oceanside Animal Hospital to any pet owner but especially owners that have pets that have behavioral issues and special needs.

We have been taking our animals to Oceanside for the last two years, and I can't say enough good things about the quality of their care. Drs. Blake and Kennedy along with the whole staff are kind, compassionate, and very responsive. They were especially helpful to us these last few months as both our elderly dogs declined and eventually died of cancer. They provided good advice and options for care and helped us as we wrestled with what to do for each animal. I'm very grateful that we have these wonderful vets in our town!

I had to put one of my kitties to sleep. I own his mother and did not know she could get pregnant so young. She had a litter of one. Mike was not breathing when he was born. I did mouth to mouth and he seemed to be o.k. His mother refused to take care of him, though. I bottle fed him for six weeks around the clock. I absolutely was in love with him and I believe he loved me. When Mike was about 4 months old, his personality changed. He became aggressive and attacked my daughter-in-law. I took him to Oceanside. Mike was aggressive there as well. The vet said he needed to be put to sleep. My heart broke! I was crying a lot and my 10 year old son was with me. The vet actually yelled at me about how irresponsible I was to let my young cat become pregnant. She told me that owning a pet did not just mean cuddling! I was crying hysterically by now, but she did not let up. She berated me for several minutes until my son told her it was enough and that he did not know anyone who loved pets more or took better care of them. I must have cried for a week. I felt so guilty that I caused this poor baby cat to be born and to have to be put to sleep. When she left to put Mike to sleep, I asked if she would tell him that I love him and she said,"yeah I think he knows". I have owned pets for 51 years now and I would rather hurt myself than any one of them. How she treated me was unforgivable. My cat was spayed as soon as possible after having Mike. I apologize with all my heart to Mike. I would never tell anyone to go to this vet!!!!! No bedside manner and No empathy!

I can’t say enough about Oceanside. My two Scottie’s are very comfortable when they need to be seen. The staff gives you all the time you need. It is obvious they listen to your concerns. What I appreciate the most about Oceanside is Dr. Blake is up on all the latest vaccine protocols. Dr. Blake is always thinking about what is the best course of treatment for the safety of my Scottie’s. Only the best will do for Teddy and Lucy. Thank you Oceanside!

I brought my dog Charlie to Oceanside for the first time in May of this year after moving from CT. The facility was very clear and Dr. Jenssen made me and my dog feel right at home! He is typically nervous when he is in an exam room, but there were no tall tables, making it a very comfortable space for the both of us. I will keep going to see Dr. Jenssen as long as I am living in MA!

The staff at Oceanside are extremely sweet, kind and caring. I think the prerequisite for a job there is a super cheery disposition. Very qualified and knowledgeable. I have known Dr. Blake in many settings over the years. Caring for our bunny, then our cats and now our dog too, she is the best. I don't trust anyone else. I am now meeting the other Veterinarians Dr. Kane and Dr. O'Donnell and they are equally as awesome! I highly recommend this practice.

We will be the first to give a very poor review for a very bad experience. Our vet referred us to Oceanside for a dental X-ray for our beloved cat. We made a 10 am appt which was confirmed at 8;30 am for dental x-ray. A few minutes before arrival, Dr Jenssen called to tell us she would do a skull X-ray instead of dental. We brought our cat in on time with her records and we were told the procedure would take about an hour. We received a call at about 10:45 that our cat would not be ready at 11 am, and they would call upon testing. Having received no call, we returned about 12:30, and we were told that they have not x-rayed her yet. At no time did we see any other animals, hear any barking or see any other pet parents. Had we known our cat was not going to be X-rayed until after 12:30, we would not have brought her at 10:00. At about 1:45, we were told that our cat was done and would be out in about 15 minutes. When our cat was finally brought out, we received the bill. This is the first bill we have ever complained about in the years and years of veterinary appointments as it was so exorbitant. Even though our cat required no services other than the dental x-Ray requested by our vet, we were billed $63.00 for an office visit (no exam), $20. cage time, $40.70 for mask, 24.22 for one shot, $24.00 for another shot and $35.70 for an IV (none requested). In total the bill exceeded $600. (Remember, we came in for a dental X-ray and then added a biopsy). When we asked Dr Jensen about the bill, she said there were other things she could have charged us for, and we should be grateful for the break we were given. When you bring your pet to Oceanside, bring your mortgage papers as they have mastered the art of creative billing.

Dr Jenssen is awesome! Our 2 year old husky had a terrible experience at a different vet and I thought going to the vet was always going to be a struggle, until we came across Oceanside and Dr Jenssen. Now, both of my huskies run to the vet offices’s front door and they get so excited when they know they are going there. We also had our younger husky spayed by Dr Jenssen and the healing time was very fast! Thank you!!!

If you have a chicken, I would advise not to go to Oceanside Animal Hospital. The staff didn’t seem to know how to handle my bird, were not knowledgeable on what was actually wrong with her foot, and did not have common “farm sense”. After spending $200, my bird is worse off, with an open wound on her foot. I wish I hadn’t taken her in at all.

Clean and friendly clinic. All staff were friendly. Waiting rooms provide a relaxing environment for nervous pets and pet parents. Doctors and assistants were knowledgeable and took my concerns seriously and helped me with understanding and solutions. Went for a yearly check up for my guinea pigs and was surprised how calm and happy they were around the vet and assistants since they are usually both very nervous. I felt the staff genuinely cared about my pets and this made me very happy.

I have been a pet owner for my entire life. I am also a nurse practitioner, so I have significant medical background, some of which certainly crosses over to animals. I find the facility clean, the staff attentive and caring. I also find that extra services are not pushed on you, but your options are made clear, so that you can make an informed decision regarding what treatment you choose to pursue. I also like the fact that they have their own insurance.....it costs me about half of what I would normally pay for a routine physical, bloodwork and teeth cleaning. Very satisfied. I have 2 13 year old bichons and a fiesty 2 year old maltese.

We usually see Dr. Wanda at Cape Cod Cat Hospital, but our kitty got bitten by something the week Dr. Wanda was on vacation, so her office recommended we bring him to Oceanside Animal Hospital for emergency treatment. Our kitty got wonderful care by caring staff as well as good follow-up treatment and is doing better. I would recommend Oceanside to anybody with a pet.
