This clinic is terrific. Dr. Low and the technicians are extremely professional and friendly. My dogs were very sick, being treated by another clinic for three months. One visit to Melrose and their diagnosis was completely different than what I had previously received. Treatment began right away, and in one month the improvement was absolutely astounding. I would highly recommend Melrose for all of these reasons as well as: Easy parking, large waiting room, on time appointment - no waiting, clean exam rooms.

I would give a "0" if I could. Turned my pet away after I've been coming there for close to 30 years!! I don't care how busy you are! Too bad!!! Stay later if need be. When I threw my 30 years up at them they then said bring him in but it's $125.00! Did I ask the amount?!?! I won't be back!!! Be careful. Look how they treated me afte 30 years.

Best place to take your pets. Excellent prices, excellent staff, excellent facility, and excellent care. They truly listen to your concerns and explain everything. We, unfortunately, had to put our cat down today. First the Dr . and staff checked our lil buddy to see if there was anything that could save him. Unfortunately there wasn't. The whole staff made this process as easy as could be. We stayed with him until the end. They lets us know step by step what to expect. They did not rush us. We were even given the option to keep his cremated remains in an urn of our choosing. All included in the price we were quoted. They made the whole process of saying good bye to our lil buddy as easy as possible. Very very caring and understanding staff.

I love this clinic! The staff is so friendly and always ready to help. I'm always able to get an appointment when I need it and the service and fast and with a smile. Just yesterday I called in asking for information about how to help my puppy (7months old) because he had thrown up a few times and I wasn't sure if I should bring him in or not. The told me to bring him in and because I couldn't they took him when my dad brought him in without hesitation. I love everyone over there they are just sweet people that truly care and listen. I highly recommend them!

We had a cat who'd disappeared for a few days and come home mangled. He spent a week at Angell Memorial, and then we needed to find a vet when he got home. Luckily for us all, we found Melrose. The Vet used burn packs on his poor defurred flesh, and he came back to us. We were together for 18 years after that. I would never go anywhere else.

I have been taking my dog to Melrose Animal Clinic for just under 5 years. I was referred here by a coworker of mine who praised them highly. We have dealt with yearly checkups, vaccinations, foot surgery and other problems and have always had a great experience. They are very kind, caring, knowledgeable and honest. I have no complaints and I would definitely recommend this Animal Clinic to anyone looking for a new vet. We have met with several doctors here--our favorite sadly just left, but there are many other great ones to choose from. We will continue to take our dog here.

I took my four year old Terrier in due to severe GI issues he was having. Dr. Bonacorsi was wonderful with my dog and prescribed antibiotics and a special diet for him. I was afraid I would have to have him overnight it with an IV but she assured me he would be going home with me and within 24 hours my dog was himself again and showing all signs of a quick recovery. All of the vets, techs, and staff are amazing at Melrose Animal Clinic and have always taken excellent care of my dog whenever I needed to visit. They are thorough and dedicated experts in everything that has to do with treating their animal patients and easing their owners' minds. I am so very glad I have them for my dog's care team!

I have been bringing my black lab, Dexter, to Melrose Animal Clinic since he was a puppy. Being a lab, he was always getting into trouble as a puppy, so we have had more than our fair share of visits. Everyone there is always so helpful and friendly. They always answer all my questions and do a great job explaining everything. Most recently I brought my dog in to be neutered and again, they did a great job. Would recommend them to anyone I know.

I was referred to the Melrose Animal Clinic by my vet for x-rays and dental services. Every person that I dealt with was pleasant and professional, from setting up the first appointment, through to the required work and follow-up calls. I was given full information, both medical and cost-related, and did not feel pressured to choose any particular option. Everyone we met professed their admiration for my cat, which of course was most welcome! I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Best vet I've been too. Super clean and nice facility, everyone is very welcoming and helpful. Dr. Shah was great..We brought both dogs to them and they were super helpful. Both dogs kind of had issues (one with a torn ACL and one is just old (13) and has a breathing problem). They were more than willing to give options rather than pushing you into expensive things you didn't know you needed and very receptive to my millions of follow up phone calls. I was referred there by our dog walker and a coworker and they are right! It's great and NOT overpriced.

This is a wonderful veterinary hospital! I find the doctors to be knowledgeable, talented and caring. The technicians are always friendly and cheerful. I moved from the local area a couple of years ago, but still make the trek for yearly exams and emergencies. I would trust no one more with my most treasured fur-babies!

Melrose Animal Clinic is an awesome vet. I had recently moved back to the area and did not have a vet yet. I came home late one night to find a ruptured abscess on my dogs back. I called Melrose the next morning as they were opening and they got me in to see the vet within 2 hours. When I got there they were wonderful to work with and offered me several different options for care and even financing for the bill. They called twice to check up on her and were great at answering my questions and concerns. Melrose definitely turned a scary situation into a very manageable experience. They are now my vet for both dogs. An awesome place. I would HIGHLY recommend. Thank you so much for your care and understanding!

I have been coming here for two years with my pomapoo Goku. I love the staff they have always been friendly to me and very helpful. Unfortunately I wont be able to come here any longer as we live extremely far and making the drive out there is a hassle as my dog gets car sick. I will miss them terribly especially the front desk ladies.

They've been good to Angus since we brought him for his first appointment when he was 3 months old (he's 7 now). He's had a couple surgeries and all has gone well. Doctors are very helpful and happy to explain anything.

Horrible experience.. called the clinic hoping they would squeeze me in for an appointment and even mentioned willing to wait as long as it took to see my pet. Was told by this extremely rude unprofessional... unsympathetic sounding lady who put me on hold multiple times that it would be booked as an emergency visit which would cost me much more.. was not even willing to consider... even though there could or maybe a late show or no show.. the fact that I was so willing to wait didn't even matter to her. Many places offer alternative suggestions to help with payment or such... this was never offered. All I kept hearing was that she was going to book me as an emergency... and it would cost X Amt of dollars. I am horrified and disgusted with this service. The representative at Melrose Animal Clinic showed no sympathy towards the situation... never even asked if my pet was doing ok or was in pain which are the most basic questions one asks. Very uncompasionate and truly money minded.

Been using MAC for 10+ years; they are caring, clean, pleasant and professional. We love them, and have used them through 2 dogs (1 from 9 weeks), 4 cats (inc. 2 teenage rescues), all happy and healthy in their care. They don't necessarily have the best prices for prescriptions or supplements/food etc; so be willing to go online for what they recommend if price trumps convenience, but otherwise A+++

I am always so impressed and moved by the quality of care, the friendliness and compassion I experience at Melrose Animal Clinic. Yesterday my dog Avery and I were there and there was a chalkboard message welcoming all of the pets with appointments that day by name. Always wonderful touches like that and always skillful care. I highly recommend this practice.

I had two cats that I had been taking to another vet that was closer to my house for years. I know that traveling is traumatic for cats in particular so I wanted the least stressful experience for them. Unfortunately, both cats had developed over active thyroid issues over the years but were staying the course. In my opinion, based on a decision by the doctor to change the food they were eating, one of my cats passed unexpectedly. I was devastated...I immediately sought out another facility and fortunately found my way to the Melrose Animal Clinic! From the moment you enter it is clear that this is a caring professional environment. The waiting room and exam rooms are well presented and clean. The vet techs are professional and caring and then you meet the doctor's! They are sooo kind and caring in the way they speak and handle your precious family member! My little lady is 18 and still chugging along despite her thyroid issue. They listen to what you feel is necessary for your animal and do not press to "upsell" you on their services unless they think it is necessary. I don't have one doctor that I favor over another because they are ALL fabulous!! Thank you for genuinely caring for my cat and the owner behind it! Highly recommend this facility!

I began taking my French Bulldog puppy Luca to Melrose Animal Clinic when he was about 4 months old after having a bad experience with Malden Animal Hospital. I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the friendly and professional demeanor of the staff. Dr. Shah has been amazing with my Frenchie and I fully trust her advice and expertise (especially because she has 2 frenchies of her own). She never pushes me into services that are not necessary or that I’m not comfortable with. I have seen a couple other vets there on occasional who were great as well. The front desk staff is always polite and accommodating when scheduling/rescheduling appointments. My dog was recently neutered and had nasal surgery done at MAC and although it was a bit pricey, it was worth every penny to know that he was in good hands. I would 100% recommend MAC to all of my friends & family.

I have dealt with many vet offices with my previous dog. Ultimately my previous dog passed away and a vet couldn’t give me the right treatment in time and didn’t know what made him pass over the course of him being sick for 5 months he passed away at 11 years old. After being recommended by friends to this place I wanted to give it a shot with my new puppy and give him the best treatment I could because I didn’t want to ever go through the same thing that happened with my previous dog. First off the people that answer the phones here are extremely friendly and just as friendly and happy when you deal with them at the front desk. Walk in and it is extremely clean and doesn’t smell like pee. The place doesn’t even feel like a vet office at all. The vet techs are extremely welcoming and nice and the offices are very sanitary and clean. The vet I have dealt with twice there is Dr. Surgeon. In all the times I’ve ever brought my dogs to a vet this time was unlike any other. My puppy Ballou who is a rescue from hurricane Harvey walked in the first time we went in scared. He had kennel cough from the shelter I got him in. He did not want to leave the office after dealing with the doctor. He loved her that much. So when I brought him in for his puppy wellness check, vaccine and heart guard he couldn’t get inside the place fast enough. The whole time there his tail is wagging even after getting his vaccine and of course did not want to leave again. The vet and the tech I dealt with have totally upped my standards on how a vet visit should be. Ok now comes the pricing. I honestly feel that I got my money’s worth with his cost today and the last time they took me in for an emergency visit for his kennel cough. It’s not that often that I am happy to pay a doctor money but they truly deserve it with how happy my puppy is when he comes out of there. I fee they actually do what is good for the dog and not just try to line their pockets and get what ever they can from you. So if you love your dog like I love mine this is the place to take them.

My sister's Golden Retriever, Hummus staying with us and had an issue making him very uncomfortable. The staff made it easy to get records from another Vet. They gave us an appointment same day.The Vet and her assistant and were friendly and professional to Humm (and us)while taking excellent care of our pet. We were taken at the scheduled time (no wait) and the front line office staff couldn't have been more pleasant

My cat, Camille, has been a patient for seven years. Even after moving from Melrose 10 miles away I still went back for Camille's care. Earlier this year we adopted a cat with mild special needs and I did not hesitate to bring her there. The staff understands her condition, which is very comforting. Both of the cats receive excellent care - be it routine or emergency. The staff also makes sure I am completely comfortable with everything that is going on with their care. I would recommend Melrose Animal Clinic to anyone looking for an office where both the pets and the owners matter.

It's rare to find a pet who likes to visit his or her vet even without an appointment. But that's exactly what our pup does! And, while it could be the treats served the front desk, we're confident it's much more than that. Our mixed breed, Remy, has been a loyal patient of the Melrose Animal Clinic for almost 8 years. She's been under the care of several veterinarians - Dr. Silverman, Dr. Low, Dr. Kasow and Dr. Shah. All have treated her with great care and attention, helping Remy battle an incredibly itchy case of seasonal skin allergies. The support staff is absolutely amazing as well - Linda, Amy & Lorie have been especially helpful when ordering Remy's special allergy medication, or providing the aforementioned treats! For all of the above reasons, we whole-heartedly recommend Melrose Animal Clinic.

We had one of our cats in for dental surgery yesterday. Dr. Low performed the procedure- as usual everything went well due to her extraordinary clinical skills. From the moment I walked in the door to drop off our cat, Bella, the experience was first rate. The team is customer focused and our cat was treated with the utmost kindness. We have gone to Melrose Animal Clinic for over 25 years. The Vets and support staff are the best.

After not having the greatest of experiences with a couple of other animal clinics in the area I feel like I've struck gold with the Melrose Animal Clinic! The facility's beautiful and everyone there, from the receptionists, to the vet techs, to the doctors, were really friendly and delightful to talk to. It really shows that they care about what they do and the animals they work with. The doctor actually spent time talking and listening to me about what was going on with my dog, Scruffy, and gave me several treatment options to choose from instead of just suggesting the most expensive one (my wallet says "thank you!). Their prices are a bit higher than other vet clinics but for the quality of care your pet will get here, it's worth every penny. *high five* Melrose Animal Clinic.... you've got yourself another long-time customer on your hands!

The vets are great here but the front desk/assistants need to learn a bit more customer service skills. I went in to pick up dog food and the woman at the front desk was not well mannered and it seemed like I interrupted her day because I had to pick up dog for for my dog. I hope the next time I go there I receive the customer service that everyone should receive. People should treat everyone the way they want to be treated.

I chose Melrose Animal Clinic after adopting my first cat--their website was user-friendly, staff was super nice over the phone, and I read excellent reviews. I'm very happy with my decision! All staff, from the vets to vet techs to front office, are warm, friendly, and helpful. They are great at explaining things, which helps if you have a concern about your pet's health. When I adopted my second cat from a non-profit associated with a different vet clinic, I transferred care to Melrose Animal Clinic because of the high level of care and attention my first cat receives. There's a lot of flexibility with appointment hours, too. I love that I can go after work during evening hours!

The wonderful vets and vet techs at the MAC have taken care of two generations of our family's Samoyeds, from puppyhood through elder dog care. Dr. Kasow is terrific as are all the vets at MAC. The techs and front desk staff are always knowledgeable and friendly. It's easy to call them and get advice on pet meds and pet care. The renovated office is so much better. Treats for both kids and dogs at the front desk is a nice touch. Highly recommend this vet practice!
