I have been bringing my dogs to this Clinic for 9 years. Not only do I trust the staff and all the vets with their care but love how things are explained. I like to know what options of treatment are available for my pets. Also they were extremely kind and compassionate when I had to put my dog to sleep. Dr Shields did everything for my dog when he was sick including researching the newest methods in treatment and consulting specialist, always checking in to see how he was doing. The technicians are top of their field both in safe compassionate care and in their ability to explain complex medical issues. Not to mention the front desk staff is always welcoming and helpful. It is the best combination of customer service and medicine I have ever experienced. As for the price you get what you pay for which is exceptional service and medical expertise.

Dr. Summerhayes and Dr. Crowell have been incredible with my dog Molly who had a portion of her ear bitten off. They are very knowledgeable and they have shown great concern over her recent situation because of past medical issues. I highly recommend this clinic.

I have been going to MVC for 5 years now and have been extremely grateful for the help and care that these vets and vet techs have given to my dog. My dog even gets excited when we go. Anytime I have questions, the veterinarians are always available to discuss my concerns and if they are not at the moment I call they call me back within minutes. I also have a friend who had to put their dog down due to kidney failure and she raved about it. She was unhappy with her vet and I suggested for her to go here and she couldn't thank me enough for the suggestion. She told me that the team allowed her to spend the entire day saying goodbye to her dog and never made her feel rushed. They never pressured her into a decision or spending money on what was actually a lost cause whereas other vets tried to milk her for cash by promising her other procedures would work. If you want top notch care from a team that cares about your pets, then I suggest to take them to MVC.

I take my dog, Dusty, to Medfield Veterinary Clinic and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Dr. Shields, always takes us right away when we arrive and gives him such wonderful attention and loving care that I could not imagine taking him anywhere else. Dusty even enjoying going in to visit which is so unusual for him. He is very skittish about some things but he just loves that place. They explain everything to me in great details and always offer me options. I would high recommend taking your pet to this great veterinary clinic.

This was a homeless cat when I found him and brought him into the veterinary clinic. He was treated gently and the atmosphere made him feel comfortable. He was given the standard tests and also a pill to get rid of stomach worms. I'm giving this review 3/5 stars because the lead veterinarian suggested the cat could be put to sleep given he tested positive for FIV. This is a disease that is the human equivalent of HIV; however, it only effects cats and cannot be transmitted to other animals or humans. It would require a deep bite wound to transmit. I have one other cat who is a girl cat who was also homeless when I brought her in that I've had for 4 years. I've kept the cats completely separated for the 6 months I've had the cat pictured, but I was lucky to do my own research about FIV and found case study's have found it is generally not transmitted among groups of cats and cats are generally safe among FIV cats; otherwise I would have sought to give the cat up to another foster care-giver while informing them of the condition. The cat is full of love, wisdom, and life. He was quiet and kind from the time I brought him in, but also incredibly strong for a cat. He had one bad incident during times when I was moving in tandem from different living locations and he was frequently in and out of a carrying case. FIV however does not effect moods, just the health of the immune system. He has been a wonderful cat and had a positive effect on my life. I suggest that the veterinarians do additional research on this topic and look for alternative solutions that can be met to cats under this condition. It would have been in hindsight an incredibly sad loss. This cat most certainly deserved a home and a full life.

I have not been happy with my experiences at the MVC. I don't like how they treat my dog (I have witnessed the techs be rough with my dog). I will not be bringing him back there for care. I also don't care for how they communicate their diagnosis--very clinical. You must also know that their prices are higher when compared to other vets in the area. The acoustics in the office itself are very unnerving. Everything echoes, especially the phones that ring non-stop at the receptionist desk.

I could not be HAPPIER with the services provided by Medfield Vet, but more importantly, my dog LOVES going there! When getting my large breed dog, I had asked around for recommendations for vets that did not have any biases towards large breeds and Medfield Vet was recommended. When my girl walks in, she goes straight to the receptionist who knows her by name for the first set of ear scratches and treats. When we get called into the exam room, Dr. Summerhayes sits on the floor to examine her, and pets her as well. When my girl had a severe tick-borne infection, I received multiple calls a day with updates, sometimes from different doctors, depending on who was working. The hand-off and follow through was impeccable. You can tell the difference between someone doing their job and someone who loves and enjoys their job- everyone I have worked with there in the past 7 years has been superb.

Dr. Petropoulos was absolutely wonderful - she took excellent care of my furry friend! She was extremely knowledgeable, kind and caring and never had me questioning if my pet was in the right hands. The whole staff was friendly and professional and made the scheduling/billing process smooth and easy. I received a call after each follow-up to check-in on my cat and they even decorated her cast with bandage tulips to make her feel fabulous. Their attention to detail and care for the animals is a priority that I saw through care for my pet and every pet that was greeted as they walked through the door!

We began going to Dr. Crowell ten years ago with our first dog, Jake. Today they take the best care of our two labs who think they are going on a playdate when they walk into the office. Dr. Crowell and his staff always call to follow up after a procedure, surgery or sick visit. I had a poor experience with a previous vet who made our first dog very nervous, but Dr. Crowell and his staff turned that around for him and have become the only place I would take our dogs. I highly recommend them.

Not happy with my past experiences here. My dog had an internal issue causing him constipation. They suggested stool softeners instead of a real diagnosis. I eventually came to find out he had a large cyst that I had to have taken care of elsewhere because MVC's prices are extremely outrageous.
