DR GOULD KILLED MY PERFECTLY HEALTHY CAT. I BROUGHT HER IN TO BE FIXED AND DAY LATER SHE DIED FROM INFECTION FROM THEM NOT CLEANING THEIR TOOLS AND BEING LAZY. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE THEY ARE DIRTY.

Several years ago we were looking for a vet to take care of our shepard and oour Chihuahua, because we live wareham we tried marion but they were not taking new paitents so we called Mattapoisett and though a little further from home they were taking new patients,and to me this was a blessing because the care they gave our pets were to us above and beyond they treated them as if they were their own pets .unfortunately our beloved pets have passed our shepard 4 yearsago and just the other day our Chihuahua was put down .BUt the love and care they showed they gave our dogs when they passed was so comforting for us and so comfortable for our pets as they were put to rest,I just want to thank everyone there at the hospital for making this time so comforting there is not enough words to exspess on how happy we are to have found such kind people that work there ,they all care verymuch for every .animal that pass through their doors ,,I hope they don't change a thing because what they do now WORKS,,THANK YOU TO EVERYONE

We recently lost our family Dog. It was abrupt and tragic, and we had no idea what to do. The local animal control officer made a call to the staff at the Mattapoisett Animal Hospital. The agreed without hesitation to remain at the facility even though they were closing in the next 15 minutes. They handled the entire ordeal with such grace and compassion. Explaining our options and walking us through the process. They cleaned him and prepped him so that our family could gather and grieve. They gave us all the time we needed. Never any indication that they needed to close up and go home. We will never go to Vet. If I could give more stars I would.

We have tried all of the vets closer to home like Buzzards Bay, Marion Animal Hospital a and Dr. Johnson of Rt. 28 in Middleboro but from the first visit here, we will go nowhere else for our furry child. Dr. Gould is awesome as well as his partner, I forgot her name, and the staff is friendly and always ready to assist.

I have been using Mattapoisette Animal Hospital since I moved here a year ago. It was relatively good service until my second annual visit. My appointment was interrupted by a semi emergency, not a problem. But I was forgotten in the room for 40 minutes. When I stepped out, ask to finish, I could hear through the door the doctor forgot who was in the room. When Dr Gould he returned to the appointment, he apologized for forgetting. I was ushered out with a frustrating tone from myself and an awkward and a "silent treatment" from the staff. A few weeks later I got a "reminder card" confirming I should have received vaccines that were due 9 days from my appointment. When I called the office and spoke with Holly, who was very professional, to voice my concern and disappointment to the clinic supervisor for my poor care and lack of detail to patient and client care and service, I never heard back from them for a resolution. It is incredibly disappointing and hard to believe any practice can fail on basic services. Steve O.

I took my ferret in today to see Dr. O'Brien and she and the entire staff were excellent. Dr. O'Brien took the time to explain everything and listened to my concerns without rushing me out the door. The office visit was very reasonable and I would recommend this vet to anyone who has an exotic pet.

Wonderful and knowledgeable staff and vets. They treat all types of animals, from domestic to exotic. Years ago I had baby hamsters and one got sick and they treated it and she got better. Now with 3 Guinea pigs we have visited twice and they've helped us. Average cost for sick visits and very caring vets. Definitely recommend for local vet or if you need an exotic animal vet.

We started taking our cats here because we followed our favorite vet, Dr. Hall, here from where he used to work in Westport. MAH is clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful but most of all everyone is sweet and respectful with our animals. Dr. Hall is the best, so sweet and gentle with every animal we have ever brought him- even our cat who is scared of men, liked him. He is compassionate and understanding and 110% focused on what is best for the animal. His first location was great too but now he is closer to home for us and at an equally amazing facility with caring and professional staff. We love MAH!

Amazing I got a really fast appointment that day an half hour before they closed. Everyone was really fun to talk to, and meet as well. The best part is they actually take some reptiles, and other exotic pets. I took my bearded dragon Cream in for mucus buildup, and they handled him very well. The price was surprisingly cheap for antibiotics along with the visit! Definitely recommend anyone looking for a new vet to go here!

I've been a very satisfied client for close to 15 years. Everyone is caring, knowledgeable and professional. Good veterinary care requires not just competency but also good communication, and everything here is explained and discussed. Testing and treatment plans are thorough but balanced, just the right degrees of caution and conservatism. The facility is spotless, well organized, and well equipped for both routine and specialized care. When traveling I have necessarily had to use other vet practices, and while most of them have been friendly and competent, none have nearly inspired the same level of confidence as I have in Mattapoisett Animal Hospital.

My wife brought our dog in to have a skin issue evaluated. Medication was prescribed and the condition did improve, but came back. We asked for another round of meds to eradicate the problem. A different drug was sent to us and we were billed for 42 pills at $4.00 / pill (nearly 3 x the cost of a reputable online pharmacy). Only 40 pills were in the package. I sent an email asking if they accidentally charged the wrong amount and requested credit for the 2 missing pills - no response. I sent another email attempting to escalate the matter - no response. You may receive friendly service, but watch your wallet and don't expect a response if you have an issue.

i had brought my little dwef hamster who had an accident with his foot stuck, i got his foot out and they squeezed me in that same day was only $55 to see him and about 7$ for both his medicines. The staff there is so friendly and wonderful the only problem i had was they misheard my name on the phone but thats not totally horrible overal a very good expierncence and quick. they also sell some cat and dog needs as well didn't really get a too good look they have other products for other animals too, i would definately recommend them ☺️

The doctors/vets & staff are amazing! I took my furbaby Forrest King there, he's a cat incase anyone is wondering and he was treated like the king he is! He passed from jaundice and cancer on 06/02/18, they did everything they could and I appreciated every little bit of it. Thank you to the vets and staff! I know you all loved his amazing personality as much as I did.

We cant say enough about the doctors and staff here. We have been trusting Dr. Gould, Dr. Obrien and Dr. Hall with our pets for years. I would not consider another animal hospital for our pets. We are grateful for the services the doctors and staff have provided to our loved pets.
