You will not find a better place for your pet. I started at FFVH with my Rottweiler who didn't like having her nails done. We had been kicked out of the clinic in our town as the staff and vet would get very stressed trying to hold her limb still (she was very strong) to clip. A colleague recommended FFVH so we took a chance and drove a few towns over. Talk about night and day!! No fuss, no stress!! That was 2006 and we have been seeing Drs Bleck and Baigelman ever since. With my fostering and rescuing seniors, FFVH has cared for 8 dogs in these 13 years. I highly recommend Family Friends!

They are so good with my dogs! We've been coming here for around 20 years. Everyone, from the vets, to the vet assistants, to the kennel staff know me, know my dogs, and treat us with respect and provide top notch veterinary care. My dogs love to go to the vet, get all happy and excited when I pull into the driveway.

The staff at Family Friends are very personable and accomodating. They took good care of our pup when he had to get a fairly invasive surgery done. Very friendly and knowledgeable very and sorry staff, but a little pricey with a mandatory baseline first check, just to get treatment for a known (to us) skin allergy. That said, no question our pooch is in good hands.

Dr Baigelman was very knowledgeable and extremely good with my dog. She instantly liked the staff and him. I really liked that he is current on all the research and not trying to sell you exspensive foods. Come to find out only a small fraction of dogs are allergic to their food which I'd been told to put my dog on different food at other vets. Great experience and very reasonable. It was a relief that he went ahead and gave my dog a Benadryl shot with another routine shot since she has bad reactions to certain shots. I am picky who I take my pup to and will definetly be back!

I've been going here for 20 years. Two of our dogs lived to be 14+ years old. Dr Bleck and his team have been with us through the life process of four dogs. Reasonably priced and explains things well. I can always call and ask questions' the team will get back to you. They team is always friendly; rarely have to wait to get an appointment when pet is sick. Would recommend.

I am caring for the dog of my elderly friend who is having a long-term medical emergency in a Boston Hospital. They would not accept a text ok from my friend for a vet visit for the dog's lost tooth, but wanted a signed release from my friend who is incapacitated and dealing with her own major health issues. I explained this would be very difficult for me to obtain. It made me feel they cared more about liability than caring for an animal in need in a stressful emergency situation. My friend does not need yet another worry. Very disappointing and unexpected from a neighbor. Not a "Family Friend".

I agree with all the other reviews. We've been taking our cavalier there for 8 years now. Dr. Bleck was originally recommended because he has "good ears" (i.e., good at picking out possible heart murmurs that are common in the breed). They are all very good at their jobs as well as having all the other characteristics that are important to a pet owner (knowledgeable, caring, available, cost appropriate, and so on).

When I first got my pup 10 years, she came with parvo. I had never heard of it before, and after taking her somewhere else and leaving with a misdiagnosis, a family member put me in touch with Dr. Bleck, who is a friend of his. Dr. Bleck took multiple calls from me, someone he had never met, on his own personal time, and did his best to diagnose the situation despite not seeing my dog. I followed all of his advice, and because of this, my dog survived a virus that kills most puppies her size. I've been going to Family Friends ever since, even though there are 50 vets closer to my home. The entire staff is wonderful and I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone else.

I love my dogs, as they are truly my babies. Family Friends are THE BEST place to bring your loved ones. The Dr's and the staff treat your babies as you would treat them. We are there often because my dogs are 15 years old. However, thanks to Family Friends, Sugar and Spice will be around for a long time. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. If you love your animals, bring them here. They don't charge outrageous prices either. Kristen is the best at the front desk--she makes magic happen when you need an appointment and is extremely caring.

Love it here! The staff is knowledgeable, honest and they are more than reasonable on their fees. By my second visit all of the staff knew my dogs name. I've had negative experiences with vets closer to me and I came in weary. They give you education instead of telling you what to do and they genuinely care about your pet. I was recommended this vet through the shelter I adopted through and I could not be happier. I will continue going here with my puppy and future pets!

Dr. Bleck is fantastic! You can tell he cares and treats both animals and owners with dignity, compassion and respect. He is reasonably priced and easy to talk to about everything. We journeyed with him for most of our precious dog's 16 1/2 year life (I cannot say the same review for another vet we tried, when our boy was a pup). When we had to say goodbye to our beloved boy, Dr Bleck again compassionately helped us let go much like a member of the family. I have nothing but love and gratitude toward Dr Bleck and his staff! Thank you!
