I really can't say enough about the team at Emmerson! When I moved to the city in 2015, I was in search of a clinic for my senior citizen dog who has a rather unique condition. I visited multiple clinics throughout the city and there is no better, loving, genuine care than you will find at Emmerson. It is crystal clear the doctors at Emmerson have one interest..... the care of their patients. They strike a perfect balance of making healthy recommendations but not to the point of making your feel pressured into treatments or services. As I prepare to move overseas, I am going to miss this team of compassionate professionals! Thank you guys for all you've done for Blaze and me!

I can't say enough great things about this place. My dog can be quite hard to deal with at the vet as he's a very nervous dog, but they're always so good with him. Both Dr. Bodkin and Janice, who is not only a technician, but also trainer, are well practiced in fear free techniques, which makes our visits much less stressful than other places we've been. They've had the same front desk staff for years, which always makes it nice to walk in to a friendly familiar face. I really feel like they've taken the time to get to know me as much as my pet. I wouldn't dream of going any place else!

I really liked this hospital, the one problem I had was certain things were too expensive for example clipping my dog's nails. They were very friendly and helpful; I am however shopping around to see if the procedures my dog needs can be done for cheaper.

Thank goodness we got a second opinion with Dr. Bodkin and saved thousands of dollars on a surgery that another vet told us our cat needed. She advised us to switch her diet instead and it completely solved the problem. We're forever clients of Emmerson now.

Have taken 3 of my cats here and they've been great with every single one. This includes an old, blind cat with kidney failure whom they were exceptionally accommodating for and were willing to work with our at-home veterinarian for prescriptions/lab testing/x-rays. Excellent, kind, very caring staff, and they don't over charge. 100% reccomend these people.

Dropped my boxer off for boarding ONLY. When my husband went to pick him up, he was presented with a $279 bill. Without my consent they gave him all of his vaccinations that weren't due for another month. Not so much as a phone call from a technician asking if I had any concerns. His usual vet is in South Boston...I will never board my dog here again.

This place is amazing! I have always found them to be wonderful care takers of my animals, fair in price and just nice people BUT today took the cake when my baby who had a particularly colicy night was finally asleep in the car. I called and told them that I really didn't want to wake up my son to bring the dog in after he had just gone go sleep. They were willing to come out and get the dog for her check up and later the vet came out to talk to me about it. I couldn't believe it!

They are absolutely the best--the vets and staff are amazing. I have been a client for nearly 20 years. They have been incredibly kind, supportive and have helped me through some very challenging experiences with my cats. They have gone above and beyond what I would have expected when dealing with serious illnesses and have given my animals and myself so much help and assistance. I will be a client for life.

I had a terrible experience at this place. As a pet owner, I’ve been to various animal hospitals and I can attest this place is unprofessional, and overly expensive. They try to force pet owners to do unnecessary procedures and threat to debt service if the pet owners disagree. It’s clear as other comments have pointed out, that this place just cares about the money. If profit is what guides their practice, it is not surprising to see the horrible service they provide and the rudeness that floats in the air in this hospital. Don’t take your pets there! I’m sure there are other places with more ethical and compassionate practices.

If I could give them a -10 I would! The staff is unkind. The vets are arrogant and don’t care about one’s concerns. My cat is highly sensitive to vaccines and they refused to clean her teeth if I didn’t do a distemper vaccine that she doesn’t need, but that they (and other vets do) as a “protocol.” In reality what the want is money. They didn’t even ask me if I could afford the vaccine. I tried to tell them that my cat didn’t do well with vaccines although I always do the rabies as is required by law. Yet, they didn’t care and treated me poorly. My cat’s medical records don’t even say that she’s been there with side effects of the vaccines they have given them (of course it’s not convenient!) Their practice is disingenuous. How sad it is to know that a place that should care about the animals they serve, is more focused on profit. Horrible place! And this is not the first time I have an issue with them. I was a masochistic I guess!
