Now the firm has a score of 4.3 out of 5 and this score has been calculated on 167 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is quite positive, and it is founded on a very large number of scores, so we can conclude that the valuation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to place opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Veterinarian is included in the category of Animal hospital.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They want to work with your animals and do a good job making them feel comfortable.
Dr. Sawyers is very knowledgeable and takes great care of our guinea pigs! We are lucky to have him nearby. especially for Exotics.
A small but convenient place for anyone in East Boston. The staff were friendly and helpful. They solved Penny's worms problem quickly. It was a bit more expensive than I expected, but we plan to come back.
I would love to give them a zero but I can’t so I give them this.I hope they are so happy to what they have don’t to my hamster! They were just making you feel comfortable but they are only hurting you and your little critter. Please take them somewhere very professional because all I know is that they are not.If you really live your hamster or little animal take it somewhere very very professional please it’s only the sake of you and the life of the little critter.
I had to take my cat, Gracie on an urgent basis to EBAH on Saturday. She was seen by Dr. Chopra who spent as much time as I needed to help me understand the possible causes of Gracie's illness. Dr. Chopra was kind and caring and if all goes well, will bring Gracie back to health.
Took great care of my old girl.
They are very good here can be a little pricy if testing needs to be done. I have taken all my pets here and just recently my puppy... That almost slept through his whole exam. Would definitely recommend.
Took my dog here because my dog Astro a yellow lab had a fever they gave Astro pills now Astro a he is not sick now
Vets are great and the staff is very polite and friendly.
Very nice staff and vet. I felt like they understand what my girl needs and checked here thoroughly.
The people how werc her are nies people how love cats and dogs
Doc Sawyer is a very smart man, and has all that experience to deal with tricky things
Have had nothing but great experiences with the East Boston Animal Hospital. Brought my rescue Milo there right after getting him. They gave him the typical round of shots and made sure he was healthy. Despite it being a drive for me (living in downtown Boston), the staff's professionalism and quality of service keep me coming back
I want to give these guys a higher score, but they were slow and not very personable during my visit today, the vet assumed a bunch of expensive options for my dog without consulting much with me. Not the worst vet I've been to, but I'll give them another chance because they're so close to me.
It would be responsible of the vet staff to inform pet owners a Breakdown of additional costs associated with a standard check up. I felt like I was “dooped” into unnecessary tests that added an additional 90 dollars to my bill. Doctor was understanding and removed the charge but was uneasy about it.
Great and knowledgeable Staff!
The people at East Boston Animal Hospital treat us and our cat Pye as if we were family. As Pye is a most important family member, this means everything! She is the third cat the Hospital has taken care of, so we have been going for many years. The veterinary care is of the highest quality. We can not recommend East Boston Animal Hospital more highly.
Really friendly and knowledge staff!
The vet was great, he is sincere, caring, kind and very professional. He is by far the most trustworthy vet I've ever met.
Had a great experience at EB Animal Hospital. I brought my two newly adopted kittens in for their second Distemper shot and a wellness visit. The staff (including Dr. Sawyer, the Vet Techs, and the Receptionist/Office Manager) were friendly, clearly loved animals, and had great answers to my questions. Dr. Sawyer showed his love of animals by thoroughly checking the kittens in every way while relaying stories of his own pets and stories of being a Vet for over 20 years. My kittens had no fear of anyone in there and loved showing themselves off to staff and other customers. The only shocking thing was the bill, but I also realize that the first year of any animals life is very expensive as they are getting all the vaccinations and being checked to make sure everything is progressing normally. Thank you to all staff!!
I took my sick kitty Olive here and tragically, found out that she had kidney failure and was going to have to be put down. Even though I was an absolute wreck, the doctors and vet techs were all incredibly sympathetic to me and gave me ample time and room to ask questions. They were wonderfully supportive and informative and I truly feel, as horrible as this all was, that I could not have asked for a better environment and staff to help make the end of Olive's life as easy and painless as possible. Highly recommend the TLC given here.
Dr. Sawyer is amazing! Animals health is number one here. Be sure to have payment ready by end of appt.
I take both my cat and dog there and never had a bad experience. Everyone is very nice and the veterinarian's are great.
Dr. Sawyers is absolutely incredible. He is so sweet, makes both owners and animals feel completely comfortable and safe and is professional, friendly and happy throughout the whole visit. I was upset the day I came in having been involved in a car accident and still mourning the loss of my dog, he offered me SEVERAL hugs and well wishes and was amazing with our new cat. Thanks again for your superb human and animal care!
I do not recommend this Animal Hospital. I left an appointment today for my puppy and never have felt more disrespected in my life. The veterinarian was very rude and condescending and would not listen or watch a video showing the problem my dog is having. My puppy is terrified to walk outside after a recent move to a new apartment. Over the past three months, his fears have been getting worse. His tail is between his legs, he pulls, lays down, and shakes. We tried to have our trainer walk our dog to make it fun for him. When the trainer returned to our apartment he said he was concerned about him and recommends a veterinarian visit to assess our dog's anxiety. It was very important to me that the vet watched a video of our dog outside to provide his professional opinion. He refused to watch the video and refused to talk to the trainer while rolling his eyes. He also proceeded to say he does not care what the trainer had to say. As a Pediatric Registered Nurse, I know the importance of treating patients with the utmost respect and the significance of therapeutic communication. I also know the importance of collaborating with other professionals and parents for the benefit of the patient. As a result of this veterinarian's large ego, my dog will be suffering from anxiety until we find a new veterinarian. I will not be returning to this Animal Hospital and I do not recommend it. I also attached a picture I found on their Facebook after someone left this Animal Hospital a bad review. They told the customer, "you were and are worthless" after their cat died and had a complaint regarding the cremation process. In my opinion, that is no way to treat a customer, even if you disagree with them. This is completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
Great people and great care for our cat. Thanks, guys!
I love this place they're all very kind and courteous very knowledgeable and they always take care of tofu and it's very close and convenient for myself and my tofu we love it there I always recommend it to people
Every veterinarian showed love and kindness to my pit bull Remie. She has gone there for years. The wait is always reasonable and they wiggle things around to get you in day of if needed.
Dr. Sawyers has the worst bedside manner of any medical professional I’ve ever met (coming from a soon-to-be-doctor who is constantly surrounded by them). I regret not following my gut and not listening to the many bad reviews I read on him. From the second I walked in a year ago, he was condescending and disrespectful. At first, I thought he didn’t respect my opinion because I am a woman. Conversations with other pet owners at the dog park revealed that he is disrespectful to men as well (if that’s any comfort), but people tolerate him because he’s the closest vet to them. He has no interest in shared decision making or explaining one’s clinical reasoning. On top of belittling his customers for asking about his clinical reasoning, he makes sexist comments about women’s bodies and prescribing them a glass of red wine when they are reasonably worried about their sick animals. Despite my year-long frustrations, and against my better judgment, I begrudgingly sought him out one last time today to see if test results from a Vetco poop test were enough to get a prescription to treat Giardia. I knew that I was coming in only 20 minutes before the clinic closed, and as a reasonable human I intended only to inquire, not make demands, but without even asking me for details of my question he came out of the back exclaiming loudly that he “can’t just give me a prescription without test results and I can’t expect him to jeopardize his license.” Had he not jumped to conclusions, and had he asked me about what documentation I had, we could have discussed that. His terrible ego (perhaps he was angry that I had taken my dog to Vetco to avoid him) and attitude pushed me over the edge and I yelled several of the things I have written above. I regret losing my temper in front of his staff, but I had dealt with a year of his disrespectful nonsense and I knew I would never set foot in that office again. If you respect yourself and your animals I would not recommend bringing them here.
I went there once when I first got my puppy (he was 8 weeks old a the time) and the staff seemed unfriendly. The nurse helping me was friendlier than the rest but dropped my puppy off the 4 foot high table and didn't think anything about it, didn't even try to catch him. I was horrified. They are also very expensive and do not ask what you want done before they do it, and then charge you. I was not happy with my experience at all. I have also heard from many other pet owners, they had have almost killed several pets because of misdiagnosis or wrong medication for the right diagnosis. I would not recommend them
East Boston Animal Hospital is really a wonderful Hospital. From the first visit to my lady visit of July 23 it has been wonderful. I highly recommend when you need a vet to give them 1st preference.
The facility was very clean, staff was very nice.I only had to wait 5 min for my cat to be seen. Over all it was a good experience
Hamster murderers. They killed my hamster. Never go here.
My two cats receive thorough and gentle care. You can tell that the vets and staff truly love animals.
Last week I noticed my dog was bleeding from the back of his mouth. I called East Boston Animal Hospital and they said they could fit me in that day to get it resolved. They thought he broke a tooth but it was hard to see because he wouldn't let me hold his mouth open so they could get a look. Originally the vet said I could come back the next day so they could do a surgery to extract the tooth. Doc Sawyer saw that my dog was bleeding and offered to do the surgery right then instead of taking his lunch break. I could tell that everyone in the hospital really cared about my dog and his health. I was really impressed that they pitched in to help him instead of taking their lunch breaks and having me come back the next day. Doc Sawyer even called the next morning to check in and make sure that the bleeding had stopped. Gir is feeling much better now. I've been taking him to EBAH for most of the 11 years that I've had him, and wouldn't take him anywhere else. Thank you, EBAH, for your great customer service and for taking such good care of Gir for me!
Dr. Sawyers is great and all the vet techs are wonderful to my little Cornelius. They try to make his vet appointments as pleasant as possible and give him lots of love.
My puppy Charlie started going to this vet and now gets so excited to be there once we enter the door. All the staff are friendly and accommodating. Our wait times are also timely. The vet takes the time to answer questions and make each visit cost effective. Great place.
Great with my cat.
$115 for the first dose of vaccines and check of my cat
We have been taking both our cat and our dog to the East Boston Animal Hospital since we moved here about 4 years ago. We've had a a couple fairly large medical problems with both pets, and each time the entire staff at the East Boston Animal Hospital has been amazing. In particular, they have been incredibly accommodating of our very fearful rescue dog, who gets extremely stressed by strangers. The vet techs always approach her slowly and calmly, and try to ease her into everything (Maria and Guilia in particular, but really all of them have been great!) and Dr. Sawyer is so relaxed with her, and really takes everything slowly to keep her as calm as possible. As other reviewers have mentioned, yes, it is a bit expensive, and they do have products that they would like to sell; however, in our experience, they've always asked before they do anything, and Dr. Sawyer has always been able to explain to us why he recommends a procedure or product. In sum, yes it's expensive, but for us they've been awesome and completely worth it!
I have a very finicky Calico cat who is skittish at 11 years old. The doctor must be a cat whisperer as my cat was so calm and did not figit once as he gently clipped her nails and gave her 2 shots. I was very happy!
Loved it will be going back.. Awesome vet i got.. So happy
We can always get an appointment right away. The vets and staff are always very friendly and kind.
Dr Sawyer and his staff are a great group of people. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Dr Sawyer is an amazing vet and the only one I've dealt with that knows how to care for small rodents (gerbils and hamsters in my case) outside of Angell memorial. I recommend him to all of my Boston AGS colleagues.
Dr. Bollen sees both of my cats and recently started seeing my puppy. My puppy was sick, and when I brought her to Dr. Bollen, it was clear how genuinely concerned about her Dr. Bollen was. The staff have called a few times this week since our visit to see how she is doing, and I love that.
We've been going to Doc for close to 30 years. Unfortunately we just had to say goodbye to our cat, and he and everyone on his team were incredibly supportive and comforting. Special thanks to Doc and Maria for taking such good care of our little family members... Kathy & Jim
I went in as a nervous wreck with my baby boy and was met with kindness, compassion and an eagerness to help. From the woman at the front desk who’s warmth made me feel some comfort in the moment to the lab tech and the doctor who were so thourough with my pup, this is my new clinic. Thank you!
I am always very well attended, in regular consultations as well as in emergencies. Thank you very much to everyone who works at the Hospital. :)
Great experience. Loved it.
Dr. Sawyer is very caring and concerned. Very learned in his craft.
They are amazing! The staff is so involved and friendly, they made us feel like family.
My experience or my experiences have been nothing short of fabulous at this facility. The doctors and staff are extremely knowledgable and caring. I would recommend this practice in a heartbeat.
If i could give the 0 stars I will... They discriminated us because we were hispanic, The staff is really rude and unprofessional I will never trust taking my dog there... They should change the whole staff
We have been bringing our dog to East Boston Animal Hospital for 10 years now. It all started when our newly rescued puppy almost did not make it, and Dr. Sawyer and his team saver her life. Their dedication to us and our pet, as well as their knowledge proved for us all the reasons we needed to be life long customers. We have since moved from East Boston and still make the trip here because we could not imagine going anywhere else. I can't say enough about how much this team cares about what they do and the animals they treat. Their professionalism (with a bit of fun) combined with their skills as doctors makes them the best in the business.
My pup and I received great care in an emergency.
A little beat up looking, but quality vet care and neighborhood feel.
I have been taking my two dog here for quite some time. Every time I go the bill is over 450.00. Even for simple things. The staff and doctors take very little time with my pets and are often rude. I showed the bill to 4 other vets in the area for my last visit. They charged me over $250 for a medication that all the others sell for less an 60.00. Their diagnosis was also wrong. DO NOT GO HERE.
Dr. Sawyers and his "Ace" Team of vet technicians are absolutely the best! Thank you, from Papi, Pepe, and Michael Fowler!! We LOVE East Boston Animal Hospital!!
I have been with Dr Sawyer and his team for 20 years they have seen my ferret and my cats. His team is caring and honest and loves all animals.
The East Boston Animal Hospital is a great little place that we happened to find when searching for a vet in East Boston that was accessible from the T. We've been very happy with the results, this group loves what they do, and it is very obvious that they care about the health and well being of our cat. They have become our vet for annual regular checkups. Additionally when our cat became very sick, they brought her back to health.
My experience at East Boston animal hospital was excellent! My dog had a stroke last week and Dr Sawyers and his staff were a God send with my dog and I. They are professional, friendly, thorough and the cost of the whole ordeal was thankfully affordable! I recommend this place to anyone who loves their pet!
Very Rude staff I wouldnt trust my dog there
When I lived in the area I used dr. sawyer, excellent vet!
The care was excellent and the new vet that interacted with Freya was very knowledgeable. I have gone their for the past 17 years. The issues I have is that I am constantly waiting 30+ minutes for my appointment and, very recently, I have had a past due amount that was supposed to be removed because it was a mistake, but got charged for it anyway and no one could remove it. They gave me credit for it for next visit but it should have been removed 4 visits ago.

Please don’t take your pets here!!! The doctor was very rude to me as he didn’t introduce himself and was very unprofessional. He was also rough in the examination and had another lady (who also did not say a single word to me) forcefully hold my dog down. He cried throughout the whole thing and they were very uncareful with his legs. We had to tell them multiple times that they were being crushed. My dog was only a few months old and it didn’t seem like they knew how to deal with puppies. I felt very uncomfortable and worried throughout the whole visit. If google allowed me to give them zero stars I would.
My SO and I have recently adopted our first pet ever and were anxious for our first vet visit. However, the staff and veterinarian at the East Boston Animal Hospital were very welcoming and warm. They answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns. They are always great at handling our kitten and keeping her comfortable. We are very excited to continue using the East Boston Animal Hospital for our cat's healthcare needs.
Dr Sawyers is quite a character! He takes good care of our two cats. The facility is clean, the staff is very friendly, and it's in a very convenient location. Can't say anything bad about this place! Thanks Dr Sawyers.
Incredibly helpful and quick.
Very reliable place, great doctor. Pet services are expensive, you cannot avoid cost. This place is reliable.
Great place
He only cares about your money... Worst Vet around
I'm not even sure this guy is a real Dr! $500 later,we took our cat with same problem she was supposedly treated for at east Boston animal hospital, and 1 visit to Angell Memorial animal hospital and she's almost completely better. Dr at EB animal hospital had all the wrong info on our cat rite down to wrong phone number for us! They're just really incompetent and just want take ur money. Don't go there ever!
Very good doctors.
Fair price and nice staff and doctors. I recommend.
Just two days after losing my sister to cancer, I had to put my 16 year old cat "down". She had been declining for months and, unfortunately, I couldn't put it off any longer. The staff at the East Boston Animal Hospital were compassionate, caring and professional. From the time I called to make the appointment, to the moment I left with my little kitty in a box on her way to her favorite spot in my garden, they were ALL amazing and couldn't have been more accommodating to my and my cat's needs that day.
Very nice staff
great experience every time I take my cat or dog there. I would recommend bringing you pet for the best care.
BEEN COMING HERE FOR OVER 35 YEARS. GREAT SERVICE. THEY LOVE MY DOG AS MUCH AS I DO.
The East Boston Animal Hospital is a fabulous place to take a pet. The staff is helpful and polite and Dr. Sawyer is very knowledgeable and he has such a pleasant disposition. I would recommend the EBAH to anyone.
The staff here are excellent: friendly, professional and true animal lovers. They have some thoughtful operational processes like email reminders/confirmations of appointments, etc. They always remember me and my dog's name, which is much appreciated. The doctor is very good and has a way with my dog. It's a touch expensive, but the location is very convenient so I don't mind that.
I love the kind, compassionate care they provide for Stella. Dr Sawyers is always quick with a joke, and makes Stella feel at ease. He has a no nonsense approach which is exactly what we want and doesn't do anything he feels is not necessary. I totally trust them with Stella. Wouldn't go anywhere else!
Staff is great and very kind and well educated on the animals they treat.
I enjoy going to Dr Sawyers because he's always personable and can make difficult things easier with a chuckle. I've taken three dogs there within the past 20 years and he always knew what to do to handle the situation.
I have 3 cats who are all just over one years old. I have taken all 3 of them to the East Boston Animal Hospital for all of their vaccinations. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful, I would most definitely recommend this clinic for your pet!
Such a great group of people - we are constantly impressed by the level of care and knowledge. Dr. Sawyer and his staff are so personable, they always remember us and our puppy actually loves going to the vet! I wouldn't want to take our dog anywhere else
I can't say enough about Dr. Sawyer and his team. I had to rush my kitty, Stewie, to the doctors last Friday. He was close to death (crystals in his urine). On top of all that he developed a respiratory infection. It was touch and go for 5 days. Dr. Sawyer saved his life. He went above and beyond the call of duty to keep me informed. He truly cares about your pets. Will never bring my animals any place else.
Love Dr. Sawyers he's awesome with your pet.
Love Dr. Sawyer and the entire staff at East Boston Animal Hospital. For years they took me and my challenging dog and made so many accommodations for him which was greatly appreciated.. Now I have a new friendly dog and they were just as wonderful!
Consumer beware! You will get swindied by these people! I recently brought my pet (7 lb. Male Yorkie) to have some dental work. The day we scheduled the appointment, we were quoted "around $200, maybe a little more if we have to extract some teeth." This is the only reason the appointment was made. The day of the procedure, there was no mention by the receptiniest or veterinary tech as to an estimated cost for this procedure. Under the impression that we were still looking at $200-250 for the procedure, we dropped off the dog. When my girlfriend picked the dog up, she was shocked to find that the bill was a staggering $483! When we questioned the receptionist, she admittedly whispered (about the vet that quoted us) "he doesn't work here that often." My girlfriend reluctantly paid the bill and came home to tell me what had happened. I called later that Friday afternoon and left a message because they were closed. I stated that i wanted to discuss the extremely high bill to see if there was anything that we could work out. I did not receive a call back on Saturday, Monday or Tuesday, so I called back on Wednesday. I finally got somebody on the phone around 5pm Wednesday. The gentleman that I spoke to was one of the veterinarians (not the one who quoted us). He was extremely short with me and basically said that the miscommunication occurred because the vet might have mumbled his words. Really?!?!? As adults, we are perfectly capable of asking somebody to repeat themselves if they're speaking unclearly. This was not a mumble, a veterinarian under the employment of East Boston Veterinary Hospital misquoted a patient by almost 2.5x! Needless to say, he did not want to waste his time dealing with this and was very quick to say that we could take our business elsewhere and that he will mail us our records. We have 2 dogs that we were bringing here for regular appointments and they were fine with losing the business over a couple of hundred dollars. Thsee people do not care about you or your pets. Please save yourself some money, time and stress and go to another pet hospital! Thanks, Chris
i was visiting my son in Boston from out of state and my Boston Terrier wasn't feeling well at all. since my son uses East Boston Animal Hospital for his English Bulldog, I called them. they fit my dog in the very same day. amazing! we were treated with the utmost respect and care, the atmosphere was congenial, and the vet had a wonderful sense of humor. Petunia received top notch care, and I would recommend EBAH without reservation. Corinne Freaney
When I adopted my cat Shiloh two years ago, I chose the East Boston Animal Hospital because it was conveniently located and seemed to have good reviews. I haven't been disappointed! It's easy to get to by T or by car, especially if you're an East Boston resident and can park anywhere, and everyone I've dealt with there since has been extremely friendly to both me and my cat. She's not a fan of car rides and often, let's say, makes a mess. When I get her here, they clean her up a bit and even trim her nails- another thing she hates. I also like that they have convenient hours- that was important to me since I work a regular 9 to 5 job. This place has Saturday hours and evening hours two nights a week which is great. I've never had trouble finding a good time.
Saturday was our kitten Bane's first appointment. He did great and was a huge hit with his cuteness. The vets were super nice and living just a few blocks away it's a win-win.
Staff were OK, but the place is old, smelly and just not very clean. Also more expensive than other vets which doesn't make any sense given it being old and not very clean.
First time with my kitty in the clinic. Everyone was very helpful and the doctor super sweet to my scared kitty. My check in was super fast too which took the stress off. I recommend this place
Very friendly staff, would definitely recommend.
Recently, I brought my kitten to East Boston Animal Hospital for a wellness check. It was easy to make an appointment and the staff was very friendly. The vet and other staff that handled our kitten were wonderful. I will be returning for future pet care.
My cats are always well cared for here. The staff and vet are always so helpful
“If you can’t afford the vet don’t by the pet.” Was told to me when I brought my rescue in with a lipoma that They wanted removed. Tried to tell me my dog was in pain because I couldn’t afford procedure. Dog lived five more years to 16, Lab retriever, it was not an issue. Other vet confirmed no action should have been done if it didn’t change. Old dogs get lipomas. Go elsewhere.
I've always been very pleased with how my cats have been cared for at EBAH. A very friendly, caring and professional staff.
Dr. Sawyers saw my cat very last minute so that I could avoid going to the animal hospital (where the wait was 5+ hrs). He was kind and assuring that my kitty would be ok. After our appointment, he was good to follow up over the phone with me for the next couple of days. Pumpkin and I are very grateful!
Just visited East Boston Animal Hospital and they took excellent care of Bella who was pretty sick. She is on the mend, thanks EBAH!
I’ve been using them for years now! They have always been wonderful to deal with, very thoughtful, and easy to see!
The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend them to a friend. They are super good with my dog every time I need to board him there.
Recently I took my cat Harry to the East Boston Animal Hospital. I was more nervous than he was. However the staff was so kind and reassuring Harry and I both felt better. Dr. Chase saw Harry that day and was very gentle. All of staff here really love animals and they gave me some good tips. Also I was impressed at how clean the hospital was. We already have another appointment. Thanks. Camille Ristaino and Harry (meow)
I've brought my dog here a few times for routine vaccinations - I never liked Dr. Sawyer's attitude but the techs were usually enough to make up for it. That said, even with this "okay" impression of this clinic I would never bring my dog here for an emergency (I go to Angell for that kind of situation). Yesterday I brought my dog in for vaccinations and the new vet, Dr. Chopra (sp?), was actually far better than Dr. Sawyer in terms of bedside manner but the experience took a turn downhill. First, my dog is not good at the vet - I'm willing to admit he gets nervous, sometimes snappy, very anxious and wiggly. That said, I am always willing and able to hold him to help out the techs if they request since he doesn't snap at me. I helped them with the vaccinations and then the doctor suggested they go in the back for the blood draw for his heart worm test and nail clipping. While in the room I heard my dog SCREAMING like I've never heard before (he's 6 1/2 years old) and was asked to come back to "calm the dog" while they clipped his nails. There was water coming out of his eyes and he looked terrified, and while I understand he doesn't like the clipper I've never seen him look so uncomfortable (my sister in law and I have done it plenty of times at the house with a peanut butter bone to distract him). Fast forward to getting home and I realize my dog is LIMPING from a blood draw! I have NEVER seen a dog be in pain from a standard blood test and I used to intern at multiple veterinary clinics. My dog is a corgi and I'm assuming they pulled and held his little leg out instead of extending it properly from the elbow. Called and asked to see what the techs name was who was essentially laying on top of him when I walked in the room (my dog is 25lb, anyone properly qualified to hold a dog should be able to hold a 25lb dog right?) - her name is Amy, so if you continue to bring your dog here I'd request not to have her touch your pet. Oh - and I don't care about price if it's great for my dog but since others have had concerns about the expensiveness of this place for two vaccinations and a heart worm test it was $250. I will NEVER bring my dog here again.
Staff is nice. Prices are average for a private vet/animal hospital, doctor is great with our pets. It is a tad in the grungie side.
Always a good experience! They really know how to handle my pet safely and confidently.
PLEASE DO NOT GO!!!!! I Live In Orient Heights And This Place Is Very Close Therefor I Ignored The Negative Reviews And Went. THEYRE HIGHLY PRICEY FOR NOTHING! After The Doctor Said My Dog Was "Well" From Her Leg Injure He Made Us Go Every Week And Pay $60 For Something Call A "Sniff Test" Which Does Not Exist!!!! My dog could've gotten her leg amputated thanks to this place, after I took her to another place due to an emergency and me knowing I was right that my dog wasn't well. They told me I can sue them, but I didn't because it was a waste of time. The staff is highly disrespectful especially the vet. He will charge you money for nothing. After that I found out of another dog who he made get his leg amputated for no reason. This place should be shut down. Please do not go. I love my dog sooo much and I had recently lost a dog when this happened and I know how much we love our dogs. Go to a caring place. Don't do that to your dog. It's not even about them being HIGHLY pricey but they don't care. Where's the love for pets that they should have!!! I wish more people would know!
Had a great first visit with a recently adopted older cat. The staff, technicians, and doctor were all very patient with our new, and petrified cat. They were very thorough and willing to explain what they were doing as well as proactively give advice regarding Bode. I've used some of their tips at home in regards to feeding and grooming. All have been beneficial so far. They were also very accommodating to my schedule. I'm glad I chose East Boston Animal Hospital.
Everyone was very nice & showed lots willingness to help me and furry best friend ! I will be taking basil there from now on.
Dr. Sawyers is the best!
Rather expense and rushed... I usually left with unanswered questions.
Wonderful staff that greets you immediately and address any concerns. Dr. Sawyer has a great way with pets (a cat in my case). He was gentle and treated my cat like his own. I went to this vet on a recommendation from a friend who also has a cat and thought that it was also a great visit.
Doc Sawyers and staff caring ....go out of their way to listen, show concern, and "work miracles!"
Clover had a serious ear problem which you all took care of posthaste at a reasonable cost. Thank you!
The vets here are amazing, but every time we go we end up waiting a half hour to 45 minutes past our appointment time.
I wish there were zero stars or even negative stars. I let this vet keep gouging me for a year before I left to take my dog to another vet in Boston. I’ve moved around the country and worked with plenty of vets. This is HANDS DOWN THE WORST OF THEM ALL... BY ALL STANDARDS. They are disorganized, lose animals’ information and drag you in for an $80 consultation fee for Anything. They refuse to work with your precious vet; I literally had to call my old vet standing in their office and shove the phone under the woefully incompetent and rude technicians face for him to talk to the vet. The receptionists routinely swear on the phone and the practice uses outdated medial technology. It’s very clear all of the vets did not go to a reputable school and are relying upon dated and dangerous methods. Your dog or cat will likely die if you you use this practice in the long run. Dr. Sawyers was absolutely wonderful. I brought my two cats in. I had to put my older cat, Molly, to sleep and her daughter Smokey has a bad infection. Dr. Sawyers was amazing and I'm so grateful we caught Smokey's infection before it spread. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic.
