Dr. Meade and the whole Burlington Veterinary staff were WONDERFUL during the long, vet-intensive life (and recent death) of my 13 year-old Airedale. We first went there after a different vet insisted on putting a muzzle on my beloved, but headstrong puppy. At Burlington, such measures were unnecessary as Dr. Meade quickly won over my dog, Lucy, and established a great relationship with her for life. He not only provided great care through multiple illnesses, but patiently educated me and respectfully allowed me to participate and collaborate in my dog’s care. The entire staff from receptionist to vet techs were always professional and very welcoming, almost like family. Through Addison’s disease, a torn ACL, SARDS, and a splenectomy, the staff at Burlington Vet was always there. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone who loves their pet. They made a big contribution to my dog enjoying a long and happy life. ❤️

I had my rabbit seen for his yearly physical and I waited almost 2 hours to be seen! My poor rabbit was stuck in his carrier the whole time. The vet I saw did not do much at all. I had to remind him to weigh the carrier so we could get his weight. He looked at the bunny and felt his back but didn't really look at his teeth or in his ears. He also told me I should see a vet more specialized in rabbits even though they told me they treat them. Why would they schedule the appointment if they were not qualified to see rabbits? I was charged $75. For what??? The vet I saw was covering while the normal vet was on vacation, but I was told he sees exotic pets too. Who knows, maybe the normal vet is great but I won't be going back to find out & waste another $75 for the same type of visit. The girl (don't know her name) that I spoke to on the phone was very nice.

The staff were welcoming and professional and we really appreciate the quality time Dr Meade. He was very informative, gave Melody a complete physical, had suggestions on improving her health, and best of all Melody got along very well with the doctor. We are really happy to have them as Trixie's vets!

Went to Pet Smart with Malamute. I was told he would need to be sedated for $325 before they would look at him. Came to Burlington Veterinarian and they were all so super nice and smart. I had to mussel him but I understand that. They ended up telling us he had an infection and we bought pills for $190 and they gave free heart warm medicine. So great experience, will be back!

I have not been pleased with my experience at Burlington Veterinary Hospital. I decided to switch to them based on Google reviews and the fact that they had more technology than my other Vet. I went through the usual first appointment process and got all the testing and shots up to date. The staff for the most part was great except for the Receptionist. (not the younger one). Couldnt be ruder. While on vacation in NH my dog got a terrible rash. Allergy caused. He was put under anithesia by the NH Vet. Had to shave much of his hair. Treated the bacteria and infection with steroids and antibiotics. When I got home I called Burlington Vet Hosp and left a message for Dr. Mead to call me back so I could see what his reccomendations were for follow up. He never called me back. Receptionist issue? Maybe? Called back again at the end of the week to let them know I was pretty disappointed. Latest issue my dog came out of the pool very lame in its hind quarters. Went to Dr Mead and he told me it seemed to be ligament damage in his knee. Put a wrap around his shin after drawing blood. Next day I had great disbelief it was ligament damage. Called back and they scheduled an xray for Thursday. Carried my dog in on Thursday and Vet Asst couldnt have been nicer. Receptionist flipped out on me because the bandage was still on him from the blood tests. Never said a word about when it was supposed to be off. Wasnt that tight but basicly she was rude and unprofessional. Dr. Read came out noticed I was still carrying the dog. Tells me he wasnt going to do xray that he changed his diagnosis and said it was neurological and to get right to hospital. Rushed to hospital and after MRI had surgery on a crushed disk that was pressing against his spinal cord and causing paralysis. Never a word from Burlington Veterinary Hospital relative to how he was doing. Additionally I had an appointment for Wednesday the week of the accident. When I called on Monday I asked if I could switch to Monday because of my concern with his lameness. They said no problem but proceeded to bill me an extra charge for an emergency visit and eventual misdiagnosis. Nobody's perfect. We are all human and make mistakes. That Receptionist's rudeness is inexcusable.

My relationship with Burlington Veterinary Hospital goes back approximately 40 years. They have been there for my family of dogs and their needs at all stages of their lives. My pets have always been happy to walk in, get weighed, and wait for their on-time appointment. Even the elderly pets have been well treated through the end of their lives. In my only pet emergency, that occurred at midnight, my dog was on a tie-out and encountered a raccoon. When she came back inside bleeding from a couple of chest wounds, I was able to stop the bleeding and lull her to sleep. Then I called Burlington Veterinary Hospital and left a message describing what happened and asking for help as soon as possible. They called me about 7:30 am and said, "bring her in now." By mid-afternoon, she was woozy, but ready for a 5-hour ride to Grandma's for Thanksgiving. Needless to say, they have earned my highest recommendations over the years.

Amazing hospital. Dr. Meade has been my vet for 12 years now and is so amazing. We used to raise dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind and he was their vet and the local petco uses him as well. Recommended him to my doctor who had a sweet Westie puppy and she thinks he is amazing as well. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and he is amazing with all of them. Also was vet to numerous hamsters, gerbils, and 2 bunnies over the years. My dogs aren't afraid of the vet because they love him so much, he has been with them through all their random issues and is so lovely. He lets dogs lick him all over the face! You know he loves animals just by how gentle and lovely he is. Cannot recommend him enough!

He was recommended to me by multiple people after my little Westie puppy had a horrible and traumatizing experience at a vet clinic in Boston when he was just 4 months old. Dr. Meade, knowing this, has been so unbelievably patient, kind, and understanding with my little guy to the point where I have teared up when seeing how much he cares for my puppy and animals in general. He is wonderful with them and with us parents. But it is not just Dr. Meade who is wonderful, each and every one of his staff is just as kind, patient, and amazing. As a first time puppy mommy, I am a little on the anxious side. But, as soon as I walk through the door, I feel a sense of relief and calm knowing that my little guy is well-liked (even at times when he is having a "temper tantrum") and will be well taken care of. My little guy recently got neutered and I could not have been more pleased with how well they cared for him pre, during, and post surgery. He is as cute as can be, but I know he can be a handful! Dr. Meade and his staff take this all in stride and mix in a combination of knowledge, experience, patience, and a great sense of humor. The cheese in a can also helps! :-) Even though my puppy still doesn't "love" going to the vet, he is so much less anxious with Dr. Meade as compared to our first vet and he often wants to stay longer as his visit is wrapping up. Thank you to everyone for everything. My little guy and I are so happy to call you our vet!! I can't recommend Dr. Meade highly enough.

My dog was recently neutered at Burlington Veterinary Hospital. Dr Meade and his staff took great care of my French Bulldog, Lenny. Procedures involving snub nose breads can be slightly more challenging given their breathing issues. Dr Meade is very knowledgeable about the breed, therefore I instantly felt at ease. Also, the cost of the procedure was significantly lower than several estimates I had received from other providers. Thanks again for taking such good care of my pet.

I moved to Burlington, but kept driving 45 minutes back to my old vet because I was scared to change. I am happy that I found Burlington Vet Hospital. Dr Meade is great. He is so patient. My 3 year old loves being right in the middle seeing what is going on and he explained everything to her.
