We've been taking our bulldog Brooks to Dr. Lincoln at Andover Animal Hospital since he was 8 weeks old! He's about 1 yr 9 months right now. They are always very accommodating for us and have great hours (nights and weekends) so we don't always have to take time off work to get him there! All of the vet techs are so loving and really make going there a great experience! Our guy still LOVES going to the vet unlike most dogs that hate it! I attribute a lot of this to the great care he receives there! LOVE LOVE Dr. Lincoln and Dr. Keramaty who are both so knowledgeable! We always know we are receiving the best care there! Considering you are in Andover, prices are not that bad. It will cost you $60 if your pet needs to see a vet. The medicines will cost you more. Staff is friendly and they will board your pet if you go on vacation. I believe it is about $25 a day repeat a day. You have to supply the food or pay for it on top of the boarding. There are cheaper places to board but they do take care of your pet. You can go on vacation with peace of mind.

We have a rescue puppy being treated by this hospital and have found the staff VERY rude and unhelpful. We simply called for an update. After being forwarded on to 5+ people we ended up talking to someone who was standoffish. We were dealt with a conversation like, "I just got here, I don't know what you want me to do" (verbatim) and other similar phrases inapproprate customer service. In the end, we never got the info we needed and we just directed to contact someone outside the hospital, who happened to be the same person telling us to contact the hospital.

My fur baby Duke can be very scared when we go to the vet but they treat him very good even when he is acting up they don't shy away from treating him. My dogs have been patients at Andover Animal Hospital for many years. They have been treated for illnesses ranging from minor ear infections to cancer surgery. In every instance, I have been so impressed by the professionalism with which I have been treated, as well as the compassion shown to both my pets and to me. Although I usually request one specific veterinarian who is familiar with the neurological disorder that afflicts my dog, in many instances I have scheduled appointments with several of the other vets and without exception, I have been impressed with their treatment of my pet's condition. I especially like their convenient hours which allow me to have my dog seen in most instances without having to go to an emergency facility. The vet techs are great too and always very professional. I travel about a half hour to get to Andover Animal Hospital, although there are other veterinary hospitals within 5 minutes of my home. I believe in the best care for my dog and Andover Animal Hospital has always provided that optimal veterinary care experience.

Minus one star because EVERY time I go here, I wait at least 30 mins past my appointment time before I'm even roomed with my pet. Knocked off a second star for the office staff/receptionists who have, on multiple occasions, not noticed me waiting to check in/out because they were too busy chatting. 3 remaining stars are for Dr. Orlowski, who is a 5 star veterinarian. She is incredibly friendly, thorough, and gives clear, easy to understand explanations about medical issues my pets are facing. Another provider here told me my dog's pain was "psychological", but Dr. Orlowski caught the real problem and my pup is feeling much better!

Went yesterday with an emergency for my cat who was not doing well at all and the lady at the front said I don't know were booked so u can fill something out and we'll get to you if we can but probably not today .I said is there anywhere I could go for an emergency she said no where around here then starts talking on the phone. When I checked there was a place 10 mins away that helped my cat right away. I understand it was Sunday but if u don't like your job get a new one. Being unpleasant is bad for business and she was the worst

I have not one, but 3 different negative experiences here. My 9 yr old Shiba Inu had what I had thought to be seizure episodes. I had brought him in the first time, they gave me Lyme disease medication, did not do a full exam, and were very quick to get me in and out without assuaging any of my worries. My dog couldn’t even walk. When I asked about him being able to relieve himself as he has not peed in 12 hours they told me not to worry. He thankfully improved after a few days and I assumed it was the antibiotics working. Fast forward 4 months later and he once again has another “episode” I had brought him to an emergency hospital who told me nothing was wrong. Knowing better, brought him in to Andover animal hospital again. They started him on seizure meds once again rushed me, didn’t do an exam, and hurried me out the door. He got progressively worse the next couple days and I decided to take him to Mass Vet who diagnosed him with a herniated disc in his neck. His shaking and “episodes”’weren’t seizures at all he was in tremendous pain! Now I’m having to wean him off a very expensive seizure medication he never needed, I’ve spent hundreds of dollars for an incorrect diagnosis, and my poor dog is now slowly recovering after finally getting an answer. The staff did not do their due diligence, did not listen to my concerns, and I’ve spent a lot of money to have a dog in extreme pain with a serious injury that needed diagnosis months ago. Don’t bother coming here, spend the money at a better hospital with more competent and compassionate staff.

But..... just wanted to say they were amazing and handled my little guy with care and he did not freak out lol. We like the staff which are kind and friendly. I always enjoy my visits to AAH with my birds! It is so difficult to find veterinarians and technicians experienced in avian healthcare and handling! I am so happy with my choice to come to you and know my boys are always in good hands. I work at another local veterinary clinic and often refer exotics to you as we do not handle most of them. I can confidently refer pet owners to you as I can tell them firsthand how excellent you all are! We usually see Dr Lincoln (who does an excellent job at answering all of my questions and you can tell he genuinely cares and knows his stuff!) and we have had one or two different techs but most of the time we have had Susan and she is absolutely amazing in her skill at getting control of the birds then safely restraining them and keeping them calm -- my boys are not easy patients!! Thomas, my minipoodle, and I had a great welcome by the evening front desk staff. The Vet Tech was pleasant and helpful in the examination room. Dr. Lerner was warm, friendly, and competent. She made Thomas feel welcome, loved and safe. She was clear in her explanation of tests and his needs. Her followup call regarding test results was timely and to the point. I always recommend her and Andover Animal to friends and acquaintances. Nothing needed to be changed.

We fostered a bulldog for Long Island Bulldog Rescue, and they asked us to bring him to Dr. Lincoln at Andover Animal Hospital for some surgery and medical care he needed. We later adopted him (foster failures...!), and we tried two vets closer to our home, but we ultimately decided that it was well worth the hour drive each way to bring our bully to Dr. Lincoln. The entire team at Andover makes every effort to be helpful and caring, we've never had trouble making an appointment with Dr. Lincoln, they follow up after appointments to check on our pup, and we really appreciate that personal touch. I would highly recommend Andover Animal Hospital, especially if you have a bulldog!

Revising my previous 5 star review. I had been going out of my way to bring my dog here because they are English Bulldog specialists. I don't find that my EB gets remarkable care. Upon a visit she was diagnosed with dry eye. Sent home with eye drops. When I got the refill, i noticed the medicine was a different name. I asked, was told it was the same. I had to come back with the original bottle and low and behold they gave me EAR drops the first time to put in my dogs eye. So for two months she was given the wrong medication in her eye. They gave her an eye exam for free, but I dont feel any better sbout what happened or can trust that the eye exam was fine.

I have been going to this facility for many years. I simply do not know why I haven't written sooner. We felt a hard nodule on our cat's stomach. We were seen the same day. It was biopsied and the results were delivered very quickly. The cat had a malignant tumor, The Veterinarian who called provided me with the detailed options, with pros and cons. After a discussion with my family, we made a decision for surgery. The surgery was done and the cat was picked up the same day. The cat and the family are doing very well. The service and the attention to detail were excellent, even including a replaced of the neck cone on Sunday. All was done within a few days. I have returned recently and every thing is just as good. I recommend this Hospital without reservation.

Andover Animal Hospital has only been my vet for a couple of years but treats me and me pets like family. I can’t say enough about the staff and how accommodating and compassionate they are. I have two elderly cats, one who is very difficult with people. This team is so gentle, that difficult cat is less difficult now and can actually be examined calmly. Ii have been using the services of the Andover Animal Hospital for over 15 years for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They mean the world to me and I would only have them treated by the very best. AAH has not disappointed me with their level of care, concern and followup. For consistency I typically make appointments with Drs. Farris and Clay who are superb. However, I have had others and have also been pleased. If you choose to entrust them with the care of your precious animals, you won't be disappointed!

Never once had a bad experience at Andover Animal Hospital. We switched to them when our local vet turned away our previous dog, who was choking on a burr. Andover took us in immediately and provided excellent care. When he passed, they were kind and empathetic in a way that made us feel like family, going beyond simple professional courtesy. I now bring my five year-old rat terrier Bucky to them. The staff at the front desk is always friendly and accommodating and now you can even schedule your appointments online! The wait time has never been longer than 10 minutes to be seen. The veterinary staff is the best I've seen, always friendly and great with my fog and encouraging me to bring up any concerns I might have (and even those silly little questions you're usually too embarrassed to ask). The hospital is clean and well kept, practically sparkling considering there's a parade of animals in and out all day, and provides ample parking. Bucky loves going to the vet; it's an opportunity to visit all his friends and the lovely ladies who take such good care of him! I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Five stars across the board!

I have gone here for several years and while my dog was in good health I was very happy with them. But I brought my dog in after she had been limping for several weeks the vet checked her joints and nothing more and told me he couldn't find anything and it will likely heal on it's own. When i went back after a week and her limp was worse he again checked her joints and said he could find nothing. By the next day she could hardly stand and the day after she couldn't walk without help. I ended up going to another vet who sent me to another specialist and as it turned out she had bone cancer. If he had simply taken his time to do a full physical exam he would have felt the lump on her leg. He could have saved her 2 weeks of pain Also, when it came time to put her down. They gave me no worsening before injecting, they told me they were putting the needle in and then said I am starting the injection. Realize this was never going to be a pleasant experience but I just needed a heartening before they started the injection

The office staff are always friendly and welcoming and the doctors and technicians are fantastic. We were treated with the greatest compassion when our oldest dog passed away from leukemia. I've been a customer since ~2013 and have had nothing but the best experiences at AAH. The staff are kind, attentive, and genuinely care about the well being of animals and pets. The doctors are knowledgeable, friendly, and aren't overzealous with medication by any stretch. Their recommendations for the health of my fur family have always been spot on. Some procedures can be pricey, but the thoroughness of their staff combined with the extremely quick call-backs relating to exams and tests leave me with absolutely no complaints regardless of the price. Vets of this quality are few and far between, and I'm truly fortunate to know that I have the best care available for my pets. I would absolutely recommend AAH to any pet guardian in the area.

We have been using Andover Animal Hospital for over 10 years and we drive about an hour each way to use them. When you have a bulldog you would drive hours to find knowledgeable caring vets and techs. I can not say enough about this hospital. We LOVE them and so do our bullies. I recently rescued a stray puppy who was found without a collar, micro-chip and had not yet been spayed. She had a complete exam at Andover Animal Hospital and then received all of her needed vaccines, was spayed and micro-chipped. There were two visits which included ample time spent with vet techs, veterinarians and even the owner of the hospital. All of the staff there were friendly and kind and very concerned about the health and well-being of my little puppy. A vet tech helped me out to my car on both occasions. As a first time pet owner they were extremely patient with my millions of questions and actually showed me how to apply Frontline and give heartworm meds explaining how often this should be done and why. After the spay they had "Lulu" stay overnight so she could be monitored and the vet called me after the procedure was done to let me know how she did. (It's been three weeks and she recovered like a champ!) Staff has always been available, friendly, kind, and most important to me -- reassuring. I left with an abundance of materials, information and free samples of everything from puppy food to natural dog shampoo and treats. I would highly reccommend the Andover Animal Hospital.

I have been bringing my pets (both dogs and cats) to Andover Animal Hospital for years. Dr. Linsday, the founder, treated my dogs when I was a kid and even though it's a bit of a drive from where I live currently, I started bringing my own dogs there because, it's worth the extra drive to ensure that my dogs have the best care. A big benefit of Andover, besides the quality of care, is that they never up-sell. At some other veterinary hospitals, the vets are like used car salesmen, trying to convince me that I need to add all kinds of services (..."your dog is older, we should run a full lab panel with bloodwork.."). There is pressure to buy services and an implication that you're irresponsible if you don't buy them. Andover Animal doesn't do this at all. They focus on whatever concern it was that brought you into the hospital. If they make suggestions for additional services, they explain how it will benefit of your pet, and it's without oppressive sales pressure.

Our chocolate lab litter mates just love Dr Wadsworth and so do we! She always calls to follow up with us following medical concern appointments to see how they are doing. The facility is nice and always clean. Never long wait times and the pricing is reasonable which is super important when you have two pups at twice the price!

No matter what the reason for a visit - including some very sad ones - Andover Animal Hospital has always been professional and caring. I'm happy to take my pets there for checkups and to get certain supplies there, and I'm comforted when bringing my pets there on their last day. I *hate* "that room"... but AAH does their best to make a horrible day go as well as possible, and that's what most keeps me loyal to them.

The only good thing I can say about this place is that they usually have availability and good scheduling. However... Their bedside manner and follow through leaves something to be desired. I brought my cat in because she was having trouble breathing, I was seen right away. They took her and began cpr and wanted to stop only after a few minutes. After the cat’s heart stopped, instead of speaking to a doctor about what could have gone wrong, I was approached and asked if I want to pay now or pay later. $350 for emergency cpr and not even any FaceTime with the vet or person doing the procedure. I won’t be coming back to this clinic again. This place is not comforting nor does it provide any closure to grieving owners.

Andover Animal Hospital is wonderful! My german shepherd had been treated very badly at our previous vet so we went looking for a vet who was good with dogs who were terrified of vets. They have been absolutely amazing with him.They also are great with our cat. The respect they show for the animals and their people can't be beat. They also make appointments quickly so you aren't left worrying about your sick fur baby. The staff in the office and the vet techs are easy to deal with and the office and examine rooms are all super clean.

Had an emergency with my old lady dog losing a nail - arrived home to find blood everywhere --could not stop the bleeding, was a real concern with the amount of blood. Of course, 4:40 on a Sunday with AAH closing at 5. Called AAH and asked if I could bring her in and they were kind enough to wait. Got her there and into their capable hands and they gave her the very best care and were extremely kind and caring to my dog. Patched her right up, flushed wound, antibiotics to stem infection, pain pills for what had to be an awfully sore paw, and clear follow up instructions for wound care/bandage care and return. Love this vet hospital- these docs routinely go above and beyond to help. I'd have to write a book to offer other examples of their good care. Maybe some day I will. Shout out to Dr. Wadsworth on this last visit.

I brought my pet rabbit here for the eight years that I had him, and for the eight years that I went here I constantly questioned why I was going to this veterinarian. I do not recommend this vet to people. Services are very expensive and I do not think that the veterinarians are kind or patient with the patients, meaning the pets, but also the freaking owners that pay money, lots of it, to bring their pet here. One of the only reasons that I actually ended up here in the first place was that I knew they took rabbits, which isn't extremely common, which was a surprise to me as a first-time rabbit owner. Wish I could do it over again because I wouldn't go here and I could have a much better memory of my time with my rabbit if I had done that.

My dog won't walk in any other animal hospital but Andover. The staff and technicians are all very friendly and helpful. The doctors do not have you do unnecessary tests. They are always available to discuss any concerns you may have. The doctors have always called me back if ever an issue with my dog. They are one of the few animal hospitals open past six o'clock and on Sundays. Dr. Wadsworth had helped me when I first got my dog from the foster. Another animal hospital had made me pay $400 on an x-ray saying my dog had start of pneumonia. Thank goodness for Dr. Wandsworth she advised me after looking at the x-rays that was not the truth. Saved my dog from antibiotics he did not need. In all the staff and doctors are the best around!

The doctors at this animal hospital are extremely helpful and genuinely love animals. (It's always nice to get services from people who love what they do!) They always let us know that we can pop in at anytime without appt, which we did when our dog stopped eating out of no where. They took us right away when we showed up at 8AM. Dr. Clay is great. We have a golden caped Con nure and she needed her beek and mb ails clipped. She handles our bird with an assistant with care. Our Conure is not the friendliest. She is also 22 years old. Will never take her anywhere else. I recommend them highly. All the staff there are great.
