They were really good to my dog. Staff was nice, knowledgable and gentle. I'm very happy I went there, and I will continue taking my awesome, handsome, toy Australian Shepherd dog to All Creatures Veterinary Hospital!

Mary Frances Milburn

I went this week with my dog and the technicians and the doctors were wonderful with my spirited dalmation! I would strongly recommend this clinic!

I had brought both my cats in to see Dr. Hezekiah over the holiday season as both of them had fallen ill. My oldest cat being 15 years old was taken care of so well she now acts like shes a kitten! My youngest cat had never seen a vet before and was a little nervous. The amazing hospital staff made sure she was comfortable and had a special towel sprayed with Feliway placed in her carrier to keep her relaxed and calm. The staff and doctors were very friendly, caring and informative. You can really tell they are all passionate about pets!! Both my kitties are now in excellent condition and I am so happy!

They had a board at the door welcoming my kitten for her first checkup. Enough said

I just called to see if they could board my dogs in a jam. They only board dogs that are also patients, but the person of the phone gave me the name and number of other nearby services. Thank you sooo much for being so nice and so helpful!!

I love going to All Creatures Vet. I have a little bunny who gets his fair share of stasis, and Dr. Bradt has been nothing short of helpful. She makes time to call me back or speak with me over the phone dealing with any concerns I have. Everyone I have encountered there are friendly and welcoming. This is my favorite vet to go to.

I recently got a green cheek conure and I needed to find an affordable avian vet, close to home. Well I did some calling around and I found All Creatures. My bird got a nice little exam, the band on its leg was removed and a blood test was done to determine the sex of the bird. I was sent home with a lot of great information to keep my bird healthy. Also when I went to their website to schedule an appointment, I received an email giving me an estimate of how much I would be spending. I'm glad I was able to bring my bird Strawberry to this vet, everyone was extremely friendly as well, I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Great place. The only veterinarian on the whole Northshore who will care for more than just dogs and cats. Exotic pets such as our bearded dragon. We had no place to take him. He stopped eating we took him at All creatures and he had toxitia that could have killed him. They knew what was wrong prescribed antibiotics and he is doing fine that was a year ago. He is almost 2 years old now.

Called on a Sunday concerned about my dog, was able to make appointment same day. Staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable. Dr. Mackenzie patiently answered all my questions and calmed my anxiety. GREAT location across from a dog park and not on a dangerous, main, busy road like most other places in case your pup should happen to escape your hold and dash out of the car.

I have gone for a single visit and at first I was admittedly concerned bringing my snake because the veterinarian I saw didn’t know much about my species of snake in particular. But they have been wonderful. They helped me to the best of their ability contacted a breeder to get more information on my snake, called often to check how treatments are going and if any solutions have worked. And Ive never felt like the calls are trying to get me to come back in to get charged again it has always been in the interest of the animal itself. This has been my best experience with any veterinary clinic and I will absolutely be going back to them for all of my pets in the future I recommend it to everyone

All Creatures Vet hospital is really wonderful and Dr. Bradt is an excellent veterinarian. Everyone with whom we have worked, are extremely caring, they take the time to answer your questions and are very thorough. Our dog was a rescue and Dr Bradt discovered that he had come with heartworm as well as a few other less than routine conditions. She carefully researched everything and provided us lots of information so that we could make informed decisions about his care. She provided a number of different options being sensitive to price tag and possible outcomes. She totally supported us and our decisions during what was a fairly stressful time as we were not sure the dog would make it. Ultimately, she successfully treated our dog and he is doing fabulous now. We appreciate all she and her staff continue to do for both our animals. We highly recommend Dr Bradt and her clinic.

Chris Zorzy

Over the years I have had a great experience with Dr. Bradt and her staff, they are very passionate about animals. She has even made house calls for me in the past. I could recommend them any more highly, they are great.

John Cyzon

The entire team at All Creatures is amazing. I would highly recommend them, we bring both our cat and dog and they love it there. Dr. Burba is great.

We went here a year or so ago with our three cats. The Vet was terrible. It was a weekend so 'weekend coverage' I am sure but I wrote to the owner about my poor experience several times and never heard back. The vet did not like cats.

I have always been torn regarding All Creatures. When I first moved to Salem we needed a vet for our adult aged healthy dog and this was close by to our home. We have been going ever since mostly because of convenience and changing vets is like changing doctors (a hassle). Pros - People are very nice that work there. The receptionists are very nice, the vets are all nice as well. No one has ever been rude or short or anything. - Very clean. The waiting room, the offices, everything is always clean. - I assume knowledgeable. My dog has always been relatively healthy (we have been lucky) so there hasn't been much to test their knowledge on with a diagnosis. Cons - VERY expensive. I moved from NYC and it was cheaper in Manhattan for a checkup than in Salem. First time New York is cheaper than Salem for ANYTHING. - Seem to be pushy when it comes to tests. I would like to think that they are dong so to ensure the health of the dog, but it comes off as very sales-y and not appreciated when the price of a checkup is a car payment. - I ordered medication (either heartworm or flea/tick stuff) in the past form an online pet med service (it was far less expensive than through them.) When I ordered it the vet office called me and kind of scolded me for doing so because of some reason or another. Basically, pushing me to buy the stuff from them. - Just had a checkup for my dog and paid the expensive bill. They called and said "hey wait, you owe more money!" So, I'm kinda annoyed by that (and this is the motivating factor of this review.) In the end I'll continue to go to this vet because of convenience, the people are nice, and my now old dog probably (and sadly) only has a couple of years left. The three star review is in NO WAY a reflection of the service or staff, just price and somewhat of a sales-like attitude at times. If you are looking for a new vet, I recommend everyone there but not the price. Maybe the other vets in the area stink so they can command a higher price tag? Who knows?

I've brought my dogs over the years to vets in multiple cities and states. ACVH is simply superior to them all. ACVH strives to do what is best for the patient and client, whether it be taking extra time and care to ensure my foster dog was calm and comfortable before beginning an exam or seeking specialist opinions or presenting every anticipated expense with its amount prior to treatment. They share options and understanding with the client for considerate decisions to be made, rather than merely telling the client what to do. I now live an hour from Salem but continue to utilize ACVH because I know they provide the best care.

I have 4 Kitties and All creatures provide them with the best care. I can be relieved to know that my furbabies are well taken care of and cared for! I highly recommend All creatures for your furry family members. Dr. H and Dr. Dixon are amazing with them!

Brought my sick rabbit in today on an emergency visit. After trying other places they were the first to say "how soon can you bring him in". I was very impressed with the professional and caring attitude I experienced. From the moment i walked through the door i knew I had found the best. After taking the rabbit they kept me informed of what was happening and kept me updated. Dr. Cassandra Welch was fantastic with her concern and knowledge of rabbits. Her assistant Annie was also very helpful with post op instructions. They took their time to be sure things were done right and I appreciate that. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for great care and service.

i take all three of my pets here! never once have i been disappointed in the care they provide my animals. i would highly recommend taking any of your animals here.i have a bird, a ferret and a dog and the whole staff is good with all of my pets. we came here originally after a bad experience at our last vet, and all creatures are leaps and bounds better at handling our small farm. the staff genuinely care about your animals and i am so glad we switched here. my chubby chihuahua, sassy caique, and sweet deaf ferret are in amazing hands here.

Hello, this isn’t a review but I do have a very urgent question. My guinea pig, Stormy, has been sneezing a lot but hasn’t shown any other symptoms of URI. I was wondering how much it was cost to check her for the disease, because I have heard that it is expensive here, but you have mostly great reviews, so maybe it’s worth it. Please reply ASAP, as URI can be fatal very quickly.

All Creatures is a wonderful place to take your pets. We discovered them when we were looking for a place that saw rats, and we haven't been disappointed. Not only do they have doctors who treat exotics, but the other staff members are always genuinely excited to see unique pets come in. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and helpful. Any time we have an issue, we can get in quickly and we always get a follow up call after the visit to check in. They also have an app that acts as a rewards program, which is amazing. There have been several occasions when we've been through tough times with pets, and the staff has been amazing. When one of our rats got very sick, Dr. Dixon seemed genuinely upset for us and was very comforting. The staff is also extremely understanding and supportive about the decisions that you make for your pets. (When we opted not to have a surgery for one of our rats, we never felt like the staff was judging us.) We also recently found out that some of the staff members may do "house calls" to look in on pets when you're away; great to know now that we have a diabetic cat! I highly recommend All Creatures!

This is the best vets office I've ever been to. I know my animals are in good care and safe when I take them here. The level of professionalism mixed with their sincerity makes them a unique and special place with me. They go the mile to make sure your pet and you have all options covered and taken care of. I highly recommend them.

My fuzzies means the world to me, I do not have a family so literally they are my family so when my 3 year old male ferret started peeing blood, I started freaking out, crying because I knew something was seriously wrong. I made an appointment here, brought him in to see the vet. I will give critical feedback with strengths and growth areas about the exam just so this post won't be so negative. My strength area for the vet is that she did a good job with checking him out, feeling his stomach and everything. My growth area is that the vet bedside manner could be worked on, the reason why I say this is because the first thing the vet said to me is "oh these animals are tumor factories, and are prone to cancer and adrenal disease." I understand where she was coming from because it's true and I was already aware of this hence why I was freaking out but it's just off putting to just start naming off illnesses like that without knowing the diagnosis. So anyways I paid 200 dollars for an exam, some anti-inflammatories and an urine sample. It was pretty much a waste of money because the exam didn't give me any new information besides what I already knew, the anti-inflammatories were for cats and I couldn't get him to take it due it being in pill form and the urine test told me that he had a bacteria infection which I assumed because I knew basic health knowledge for ferrets and peeing blood is a symptom for a bacteria infection/crystals. When I got home, Clyde started peeing dark brown and blood. I took the sample to the office. I wanted to get an xray done to see if he had crystal formations so I brought Clyde along hoping she could see him of course, she couldn't instead she just told me to buy their food, which he did not eat because it was cat food. So another 30 bucks on the food wasted. Afterwards getting the test results back, all the vet said was that it was a bacteria infection and that she would need another 167 dollars to find out what type of bacteria it is. At this point, I just didn't have the money so she said to put him on antibiotics, clavamox 15 ml drops for two weeks. So I went to the clinic bought it for 46 dollars, it helped a little bit however, I knew it wasn't going to fix the problem because I know male ferrets are prone to crystal formations, which you need a xray to see them. I still wanted to give the antibiotics a try though. I started reading the directions on the box, there was a warning on the med box that I must have missed the first time and it said "must disposal after 10 days." This was the final straw. Are you serious the vet prescribed it for 2 weeks (14 days) but the box said it is only good for 10 days. I really don't understand how a vet can mess up like that. Vets should know everything about the meds that they are prescribing. I am so furious by everything that had happened. I work a 9.00 hr job and all my savings was put into this clinic. And worst thing of all is my little boy is still sick. He still peeing blood more often and thats only if he actually goes. He stop going to the bathroom regularly. I have no more funds to take him to another vet. I was drained dry from this vet. I am just trying to sell anything that I can to get money so I can get help for my baby boy. I am in the process of selling my car hopefully I can sell it soon to come up with the funds. If I can't come up with the funds, I might have to stop going to school. This is just a terrible situation but he is my family and I have to get him help soon. Ferrets are the type of animals that you cannot leave infections or crystals. They are fragile creatures. I truly believe that clinic wanted me to pay for all those waste of time, urine tests and exams and then they would want me to get a xray done later down the road. Its all about money to them. So I hope after reading my review please do go to this clinic. They care more about filling their pockets then caring for their patients. This place will drain you dry and never help your fuzzy creature.

This was my first experience at a vet and I couldn't have been more impressed. I have a guinea pig who's foot was swollen with Bumblefoot and the All Creatures Staff too great care of him. Chris the vet tech was incredibly friendly while taking all of my guinea pig's information. Dr. Dixon was great as well. She gave me a ton of information about what to feed him and gave me some creative ways to get the vitamins he needs into him since he's such a picky eater. She prescribed him with some pain medication as well as some antibiotics and showed me how to administer them to my guinea pig. Before she left she told me that she wanted to see Kristoff back for a follow up visit even if his foot returned to normal and that she would call to check up on him in 3 days which she did. I was very impressed with this vet and will continue to take Kristoff here as long as I have him.

All Creatures is the best vet hospital I have experienced. I feel lucky to have such a fantastic vet hospital right down the street. I've lived in MA, NY, CA (where I worked at a vet hospital), and VT. My pets have always come with me whenever I've moved. Now that my wife and I are settled in Salem and don't plan to move again I feel extra glad to have found the perfect "home base" vet for my pets. The practice is bright and clean and welcoming. Dr. Hezekiah is incredible! She's friendly, smart, knowledgable, and patient. My dog has some anxiety and fear issues and Dr. Hezekiah is perfect with her. She paid attention to my dog's body language and noticed that my dog is most comfortable when people in the room are sitting on the floor with her. Not only did Dr. Hezekiah sit on the floor with Callie to make her more comfortable, she even put a note in the chart for others to do the same. Dr. Hezekiah is always thorough and does a great job explaining what she is doing and why. She also takes the time to explain options for treatment. I never feel rushed through an appointment or that she is only half listening. I can't emphasize how much I appreciate this! The vet techs and receptionists are also fantastic here. They are all friendly and professional and always treat my dog with attention and care, as if she was their own. Someone follows up with us after every appointment to make sure things are going well. We have never had to wait long past the appointment time to be seen (although I would be fine if that happened because I so appreciate that I never feel rushed through my own dog's appointment). Pricing is reasonable. We love All Creatures so much that we recently had our cat's records sent over from another clinic so that she can be seen by Dr. Hezekiah, too.

I took my rabbit to All Creatures because he was very sick and my other veterinary hospital's small animals vet was out on Saturday. I'm so happy Dr. Bradt works on Saturday! Although she was booked for the day, she squeezed my rabbit in last minute. Dr. Bradt—and the wonderful technician—were so compassionate and understanding of the stress my rabbit was under. They calmed him and me down and were able to get him on a treatment plan. Not only did Dr. Bradt calm us down and give us a treatment plan and medicine right on the spot, but she called me two times during the week to check in on my rabbit. I really couldn't be happier with my experience at All Creatures.

Jess Fritz

Great staff! Very nice facility, well managed. AAHA certified, which means regular inspections. Website is really useful. Very happy.

Amy Daigle

All Creatures is the best vet practice I've ever been too. I'm a long term exotic owner and finding a vet that actually cares for them is difficult! I've been to many vets where staff actually looked disgusted when I brought in pet rats, but everyone at All Creatures is so kind and even tells me how cute they think rats are. And it's not just rats-- I've seen it with all sorts of exotics including reptiles! All Creatures can be a bit on the pricier side as it is an AAHA accredited practice. For exotics, I haven't had any problems with their pricing at all, but if you have a dog or a cat I truly recommend having pet insurance to help balance off the cost! Overall, the staff at All Creatures is incredible. Everyone has been so professional and kind even on their off days. I recommend it to anyone with exotic pets because you know you'll be getting the care that they truly need.

Colleen Hennelly

Very biased judgments and unhelpful solutions for exotic pets. Im a young ferret owner and the doctor, Elizabeth Bradt, was a complete waste of our time to go see. It was insane to me the amount of times she would say “it could be this but it could be something else, it’s hard to tell” about almost every thought she had. Why am I here if you have absolutely no idea what COULD be going on? She was also not reassuring in my highest point of anxiety, she said to me “If you don’t have the means of paying for surgery if he needs it, you’ll have to put him down because he’ll be in pain.” Harsh, right? And guess what was wrong? He had a cold. A day cold, actually, because he was fine THE NEXT DAY. I spend $300 on x-rays that he didn’t need because this woman doesn’t know how to detect cold symptoms in ferrets nor can she get over her personal opinions about patients. She kept a insisting that there was smoking in my house when the only people who smoke, smoke outside. Never asked me, assumed and said “keeping smoke away from him would be helpful” on more than one occasion. So completely unsatified with my visit and so shocked at how Dr. Bradt acted towards me upon a first time visit. Don’t go here if you have ferrets.

I had just gotten a new puppy. I was looking for a local veterinarian. I was told all creatures was good. I knew the first time would be costly. I had already decided not to neuter my puppy. The vets assistant ask me about it. I told her I didn’t want to neuter the puppy. I’ve had over 6 puppies in my life and am very responsible for them. She kept going on, finally asked her to stop. The vet then came in , the assistant informed her of my decision, she started in on neutering. I almost lost it. She saw that the finally stopped. I had the puppy chipped the the shots started before any discussions , I stopped her and informed her as I required her to explain everything she was doing. She became annoyed. I just stood the with the puppy in my arms until she did. Ended up getting all necessary shots before she started with a few unnecessary one at this stage. Anyway, I went to pay the bill. I was reviewing it when they tried to rush for payment. I am formed the receptionist that I wanted to review the bill to see exactly what I was paying for. They were billing me for an appointment charge which I was told prior that it was included in the overall cost. Long story short. I will never go back there and I will never recommend anyone bring their pet there as they try to charge you for every thing that they can and get away it. So today I received a letter from Dr. Elizabeth Bradt, it goes “While All Creature Veterinarian Hospital staff and doctors provide the highest standard of care for both our patients and their owners, occasionally Problems in this relationships do occur. My staff and I gave your pet XXXX, The best care possible and he backed it in a professional manner at all times. However we must terminate our relationship with you. The best care possible and he backed it in a professional manner at all times. However we must terminate our relationship with. After considerable thought, I regret I must tell you take your pet to another veterinarian for medical care. When you find a new veterinarian will gladly send records to the appropriate doctor. I believe this is in the best interest of all parties involved “ Dr.Elizabeth Bradt. Hmmm, the relationship ended the moment I walked out your door. A relationship involved more that one date. She’s rude, pushy and full of herself. Their only concern is to see how much money you’re willing to dish out. She will insult you I trying to push other treatments including purchasing pet insurance on you, telling you that you only have a short time to get it. When I know I can get it on a fully grown dog as long as their in good medical health. I will inform everyone I know not to go their. But, there is a choice. A free clinic in Boston on Mass Ave. Merwin vet. Clinic my puppies second round of shots were only $35. They do ask for donations if you can afford it. The staff is great, no agenda to push. No talking down to you. Just really great people and really great treatment. I recommend it too all. Help them stay in business. So they can continue their work. Truly helping the owners and their pets. Say no to Dr. Bradt.

Dr. Bradt is an excellent avian vet. My cockatiel, Kevin (23 yrs old) , became very sick and Dr. Bradt quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem. I credit Dr. Bradt with saving his life. Avian specialists are very rare in the North Shore area and I was hugely fortunate to have found Dr. Bradt. The staff and Dr. Bradt made follow up calls as promised to communicate test results and to make sure the treatment plan was working. Excellent customer service, and highly skilled professionals.

Just moved to Salem and thought I'd try this vet out since my doberman was overdue for some shots. I've been to Petcos for shots before and would never do that again. The receptionists were really friendly and the doctor was nice too. I read about people complaining that they had to pay a lot but for the excellent care we got here I think it is deff worth it and I didnt pay a ton at all. I'd recommend this hospital 100% to everyone I know looking for a clean vet clinic with staff who are actually educated and compassionate.

Laurie Moran

We have been seeing Dr. Bradt at All Creatures for 10 years as the primary veterinarian for our five ferrets. We have experienced both great preventive care and emergency care, pragmatic advice, and a welcoming, friendly staff. Dr. Bradt always tries to give us multiple care plan options when dealing with our ferrets' health, and to work within our budget, as many treatments for exotic animals can be expensive. All Creatures has helped us through end of life with three of our ferrets, and with the most recent passing, we received a beautiful, touching, and completely unexpected plaster casting of our ferret's paw print as a gift from them. I would recommend All Creatures to other local ferret owners.
