We just took our new puppy to Veterinary Housecall for her first vet appointment. Wonderful experience! Really nice office, with a friendly and helpful staff! (I suppose carrying around a puppy didn't hurt). Dr. Schmoll was great, and answered our many puppy questions - I know our sweet little girl will be in good hands during future visits!

We were lucky to meet and have Dr. Joy Goode meet us and our cat. She and tech Donna were extremely professional, engaging, personable and took extra time to explain while treating our cat. The firm got us in on short notice and the front desk person was very accommodating. Highly recommend if geographically this firm works for you.

My older setter can be taken care of in the comfort of her own hone and she adores Dr. Golden and Alex. I wish my own doctor was as responsive and thorough. Test results are exained to me as soon as they come in and treatment options are explained. I only wish I had found out about them sooner!

I love the people at VHSC. they are very professional and honest. They are gentle, kind and they take time in explaining the problem and the solution to get your pet back on the road to recovery, no matter what the problem is. Everything is explain clearly and if necessary they will write out what it is you need to do at home if there are steps you have to do. I highly recommend them. My boxer feels very comfortable during his visits.

My family and I have been taking our pets to this establishment for easily over ten years. I have always been so impressed by the facility and staff. The facility is very clean and the staff are very friendly and extremely informative. They will always listen to you and really take time to answer any and all of your questions. Recently, one of my cats fell ill but we weren't sure why. They immediately fit my cat in for an appointment and were so accommodating and comforting since I was extraordinarily concerned for the well being of my cat. All of the staff are rock stars, but we had the pleasure of meeting and working with Dr. Kanackery (spelling?). He was so thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and very caring. He was able to get our cat back up and healthy and made a point to make several follow up calls to check up on my cat and see how he was recovering. This meant so much because it really proved to me how much they genuinely care about the well being of all animals being brought in. Even though I have moved about 35 minutes away, I will still continue to rely on this establishment to provide veterinary care for my pets. I have nothing but great things to say!

Dr Golden and the staff are so awesome! Recently our Lola was very sick and they took her right away. After hydrating her and bloodwork we were sent home. She was 75% herself the next day. Dr Golden called on a Sunday to check in to see how she was doing. He is the best! We won’t go any where else with our Princess! We love you all!

Absolutely wonderful! They treat my dogs like family. I prefer to go wherever Dr Fenner is because the dogs love her and she's an excellent veterinarian, but it's pretty clear why she's at this particular clinic; they seem to share her attitude where the health of your pets is the most important thing, rather than how much money they'll get from you. I mean, it's still a business and they still need to keep the lights on, but their prices are extremely reasonable and I never leave there feeling like I've paid too much. Pets are family, and you can't put a price on the health and well-being of your family, but this clinic is extremely fair and doesn't take advantage of the vulnerability of having a member of your family that's ill.

Very compassionate and honest. They sent a vet and technician to our home to examine our cat, who I knew was very ill. They called me the next morning at 8am with the results (diabetes, kidney failure, and likely cancer). When I first called to set appt., they gave me phone numbers for other housecall services so that I could try to find an earlier appointment. Costs: Visit, with exam and bloodwork $386, which $250 of that the lab work. They returned to euthanize our cat. $400, but very compassionate, and it was over quickly. I hope I don't have to use in the future, but I would recommend rather than taking a sick pet to a vet waiting room with the stress of other animals nearby.

Please take time to consider all available providers before visiting this one, as my family and I were clients for approximately 2 years and during that time encountered several problems. First, the record keeping of this provider is terrible. Over the past two years, the record keeping for my three dogs became so bad that I begin to record their vaccinations myself. What's worse is the provider was told many, many times of the discrepancies; however, mistakes continued. What's worse yet is I even provided them with copies of my personal records and it continued. Next, and this was the final straw and ultimately the reason my family and I have decided to go to another provider, is my Irish Wolfhound was recently given a lepto vaccine, after being told that she needed one, for the first time, after being a client for two years, and later learned that she did not. Additionally, I was told lepto needed a booster shot three weeks after the initial shot and she was never scheduled for that...thank God. When I confronted the provider about it, no apology was given and permission had to be granted up the management/owner chain to obtain account credit. In between my IW's initial lepto visit and learning of the provider's mistake, my other two dogs were scheduled for one (first time after two years of being cared for). Well, the initial was given (this is when I learned my IW didn't need one and confronted the provider) and the booster was scheduled. When my family arrived to obtain the booster, we were not even offered an exam room; the shots were given in the lobby. Tonight, two days later, my Chiweenie is visiting an emergency vet due to severe, repeat vomiting, which I hope is merely an easy to recover from side effect of the two-stage lepto vaccine. Veterinary Housecall Service and Clinic, we both could do better. Oh, forgot to mention. Approximately two months ago, I paid approximately $1,000 for a "definitive" test of Addison's Disease for my Shepard mix and the results were inconclusive. I later discovered that the second best testing element was used, because Veterinary Housecall Service and Clinic was out of the first best, and no one bothered to inform me. When I confronted the provider about this, I was told retesting would have to be conducted and if I wanted the best testing element my Shepard mix would have to wait an unknown amount of time and I would be charged a second time. Again, no apologies and no account credit. I believe this should be the end of my rant. Sorry it was so long but I'm glad you took the time to read it. If you can't tell, I love my dogs and want the best for them, which they deserve.

I can't say enough great things about Veterinary Housecall Service. I bought a puppy last April and as anyone knows, they require many shots and check ups. I feel like my dog and my time are important in this practice. I hardly ever have to wait past my appointment time and I love all the vets I have seen, especially Dr. Joy Good. I especially like that the vets themselves follow up by phone the day(s) after an issue to make sure my dog is feeling better and to help with any issues. I couldn't be more happier with the care and attention my dog has received from this practice. My previous dog was with a local vet where getting an appointment the same day was nearly impossible and even with scheduled appointments, I would wait an average of an hour to be seen. The care was streamlined to vet techs and getting questions answered by the vet themself was a frustrating process. I love the personalized service my dog and I receive from Veterinary Housecall Service.

I love Veterinary Housecall Service and would recommend them to all pet owners I know. I have been using them for about 6 years now. I originally took my kitty to their clinic when I lived in Crofton. Then when I moved to Pasadena, I started using the housecall service so that I didn't have to take the cat for the car ride. One of the things that I love is that they always have a tech in the room with the doctor. You don't have to be the "bad guy" that holds your pet down while the doc gives shots or takes his temperature. They take care of everything. They are always so sweet and gentle with the animals. Last year, Dr. Golden came to our house to put down our chocolate lab who was almost 16 years old. The doctor was very respectful of the situation. It was so nice to not have to take our dying dog in to a vet to be put down. He got to be put to sleep at our home. Then the doctor took the body away with him. We picked up his ashes from the clinic a few days later. These guys are better than any vet that I have used. I wouldn't be paying housecall fees just for the heck of it if there were as good of a vet just down the road. I had to stick with these guys! They're great! Highly recommend.
