A friend recommended this place to me, and I'm so grateful for it! This office is fantastic! All the staff are friendly and great with my pets. I've worked mostly with Dr. McEntire and she is wonderful! I really can't say enough about how great of a vet she is. My dog is really scared to go to the vet, and Dr. McEntire gets down on the floor with her to make her more comfortable, and makes a huge fuss over her. By the end of the visit, they're best friends! She also has seen my cats, who turn into terrible beasts when they go to the vet. She was able to work on one of my cats without heavily sedating him (only a light oral sedation - yes they're *that* bad), which has never happened before. Best of all, Dr. McEntire won't try to up-sell you services or products you don't really need, which many vets at other practices will, usually by trying to guilt or bully you into them. Dr. McEntire will explain your options and what they cost, and give you her opinion about what's really necessary - and what's not. The staff are fantastic too. They made a huge fuss over one of my cats when I took him and his brother in for a regular check-up, even though he's never friendly with vet office personnel. The office has an in-house pharmacy, so you can get everything dispensed while you're there, which is really convenient, especially when I need to get more sedatives for my cats for an appointment. The only drawback is that I usually have a longish wait when I go for appointments, but no longer than any other practice. It's worth the wait for my pets to get such great treatment, though!

Timonium Animal Hospital is by far the best vet in the area. Every single one of their doctors genuinely care about your animals. My poor puppy Louie has had to go there for not only just check ups and shots. But once when he ate something that poisoned him & also for other issues. Dr. Gernhart and her staff make me feel so safe and comfortable leaving Louie in their hands. They will speak to you without making you bring your pup in and even call to check on them days later. They have exceeded my expectations for any vet. I would 100% recommend them!

These guys are fantastic. They are not my normal vet, but I've got some pretty high standards, having worked for numerous animal-based jobs, including a vet, before. I called them 20 minutes before they closed with a kitten I got yesterday: the runt of a litter, he was a street cat with no prior medical care and he is absolutely tiny. I was concerned because he was having diarrhea, which is a scary thing in a cat who weighs less then a pound. They checked with their vet, who encouraged me to come down just in case; if i could get there by the time they closed, we would be seen. They were very willing to fit us in last minute. We got there with 5 minutes to spare, and they saw us to a room. They were very efficient and very competent. They answered all of my questions, and were thorough in his care: fluids, de-wormer, flea treatment, some tests, and a bit of food. The doctor we saw, Dr. Stephens, answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable, and she was genuinely concerned with my kitten's welfare. The vet tech was also knowledgeable and took our information efficiently. Overall, it was a good, welcoming atmosphere. And they were absolutely willing to make copies for us to take to our normal vet, and recommended two emergency vets in the area should our kitten have any problems overnight. They also knew our regular vet and spoke well of them-- techs and doctor. Their pricing is very affordable. I would be happy to pay these prices regularly, and they did not charge us extra despite the fact that we were a last-minute emergency seen after they closed. The staff loved our kitten and asked us to send an update even though we do not see them regularly. I am VERY happy with this vet's office, and if my relationship with my current vet was not so positive, I would switch in a heartbeat.

I cannot speak highly enough about Timonium Animal Hospital. I originally went there after taking my elderly dog Stella to Falls Road Animal Hospital for years. They couldn’t get rid of her reoccurring ear infections and essentially just kept putting a patch on the problem. I spent so much money. They eventually recommended surgery! She also had a hacking cough that they said was a collapsing trachea and they had me buying cough medicine for $90 a month that did little to help her. Then we took her to Timonium Animal Hospital. They were INCREDIBLE!!! In one visit they cured her ear infections, FOREVER, by putting a medicated wax in her ears for two weeks. They also diagnosed her with asthma, the cause of the hacking cough. They prescribed her an Albuterol inhaler and recommend a special mask that we bought online to adminster her breathing treatments (they didn’t make us over pay for them to order one for us!). It was all a miracle!!!! My beloved pup got to live out her last three golden years, 14-16, finally feeling healthy and happy. She suffered so much from the ages of 12-14 because of poor vet care. I can’t be more thankful for them ❤️

I have been taking my furbabies to Timonium Animal Hospital since it was originally located in Timonium Plaza! I have seen Dr. Gernhardt, Dr. Stevens, Dr. H, Dr Shelly and everyone there. They've always given my pets the best care, were beyond compassionate when my older boy had to be put down and all round great. I continue to take my dogs there even after I've moved almost half an hour away. I have recommended them to everyone I know and will continue to do so!

I would strongly encourage anyone that is considering taking their vet to Timonium Animal Hospital to think twice. I spent over a year visiting multiple vets at this practice with a variety of concerns about my dog. Each time I left the office, I sat in my car and cried. I was consistently made to feel unimportant and “crazy” for voicing my concerns. Despite feeling this way, I continued to go to THAS due to the convenience of location and “sneak attacks” of illness in my pup. I simply did not have the ability to find a new vet and get an appointment time in a matter of 24 hours when he would suddenly get sick. I’m sure all busy working families can understand this. I will forever feel guilty that I had not changed practices the second my gut told me something was not right. After a year of questions and concerns, my dog has finally been diagnosed by another vet and is, hopefully, on his way to recovery. I have been told that, while his diagnosis is genetic in nature, the symptoms and pain would not have been nearly as severe if it had been caught a year ago when I first voiced my concerns. I could have been proactive with supplements, rehabilitation therapy, restricted play, I would have even tried acupuncture for this sweet dog. The shame of it is, my dog has suffered as a result of this ordeal, and no animal deserves to be in pain. The lead vet did call in an attempt to find a resolution. She had never met my dog, so I do appreciate her taking the time to try to help. No resolution was found, although I'm not sure that any amount of refund or service offered could fix the feeling that I have failed my dog. If you visit THAS and feel rushed or dismissed, please trust your gut, I so badly wish that I had.

This was my first visit. Dr. Chelsea McIntyre and staff did a great job comforting and treating my dog, which came in for a medical ailment. I had recently adopted a dog from a local shelter. I called first thing in the morning and they basically told me to come right in. Everyone made me and my dog feel like we were their only customer. I have another dog and from now on, will be bringing both of them here for routine checkups. Thank you again......job well done!!!....

My dog had an infection around his mouth. Before calling to make the appointment, and after realizing why he continued to lick his mouth, I checked it out. I located the infection, cut some of the hair around the infection , cleaned it well and used a topical antibiotic that had previously been prescribed by vet in our previous state to heal a cut by a groomer. I took him to TAH as it had been recommended by someone I ran into at Hunt Valley center who works with dogs. So I had done what they did, except they shaved him around the area of the mouth, and prescribed the same medication. He now has two cuts and a nick from their shaving. Total damage to my dog and me - $125. The one side note I’d like to mention is the horrible dog smell in the place, particularly in the treating room. I think I should get my mi ey back for their shaving. I’m using the antibiotic cream to put on the cuts for healing as well as original infection. I never post reviews - but it’s really bad. I have photographs that I will gladly share.

Everybody at Timonium Animal Hospital is AMAZING! We’ve been bringing our cat and dog here for over a year now, and have always received the best care and fast appointments/service. Our pup has needed a tooth extraction and a tumor removed this year, and Dr. Stephens was an angel during both surgeries—calling with updates and always available to answer questions (even called us back at 9pm on a Friday night!) I can’t recommend this place enough. Their love for animals shines in everything they do!

This isn't my normal vet. And I do love our vet. Ive had to go to one other vet in an emergency and it was awful. But I have to say, the one time I brought two of our cats here for a quick check and vaccination, they were awesome. I was really happy with the love, care, and kindness of all the people at this office. If anything prevents me from seeing our normal vet, I'm so thankful that I have Timonium as a backup. I have been taking my cats here for over 15 years. The level of care has been consistently excellent no matter who saw them. Always willing to take the extra time to answer all my questions. Where they really excel the most in my experience has been in dealing with animals with terminal conditions (cancer). While surgery and chemo were discussed as options, they were very candid with my about likelihoods or not of success. Dr. Stephens has really phenomenal in coming up with a variety of ways to provide compassionate care to make my pet as comfortable as possible and keep his quality of life high for the final stretch. I worked part-time as a vet's assistant in high school and college so I have high expectations. Both vets and staff at this Hospital exceed my expectations every time.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING COMING HERE! Initially i had taken my cat to CharmCity Vets who were not very helpful at all in giving my cat some relief for his teeth and drooling. TAH is a better veterinarian facility, and Dr.C Mcintyre is intelligent and experienced, she is extremely helpful, and in my opinion genuinely cares about my cat. The tech's (Bethany) were extremely helpful-my guy had an accident and she helped with a towel and paper-towels. Make an appointment, have information and advocate for your pet. My mom has been taking our pets here for years now. And we've been very happy with the original doctor's who usually see us. But for some reason, my dog got a new Dr this time around and I am a vet tech myself, not a doctor, and I even knew there was something seriously wrong. This lady just wrote it off like it was nothing. She literally told my mother that it was just a hair Matt. Even though his chin was dripping body fluids. So she is now sitting with him in the pet ER so he can finally feel better because now the infection has spread to his paw. Whoever this new female Dr is, needs to do some more research and retake her boards--because she obviously doesn't know her own @$$ from her elbow.
