Caring professional staff. They took really good care of my pup. However they described my dog like they were describing me. "Your pup should really taper at the waist and she doesn't and when you feel for her ribs you shouldn't have to press in so deep. So ....she needs to go on a diet."

The staff from the Dr to the receptionist were amazing from start to finish. The Dr didn't rush us and answered all of our questions. They are very accommodating to help you get your pet in when you have scheduling issues ( our car broke down and had to reschedule and they were great about it and very understanding) If your looking for a new vet this is the place to bring you pets. You couldn't ask for a better and loving environment for your pets and you.

We wanted to personally thank the staff of St. Charles Animal Hospital for their warmth and kindness when we had to put our beloved cat, Calli, down unexpectedly on Christmas Eve. We had brought her in thinking it was just a "check up" to figure out why she had stopped eating over the past couple of days, only to find out she had a very large tumor in her stomach. The prognosis was not good and we made the very difficult decision to have her put down at that time. The decision to put our pets down – and the sadness that ensues – is always hard, but everyone at St. Charles Animal Hospital did such an amazing job. The genuine caring and warmth showed by each and every person of that staff was overwhelming and greatly needed and appreciated by us. To know that the doctor (Dr. Siskovich) and technicians took this just as hard as we did let us know that our Calli was given the best treatment and left this world with people who truly cared about her. Their thoughtful actions during the whole procedure did more for us than words can say. As a final touch, they also sent flowers to our house on Calli's behalf, of which we also greatly appreciated.

Beware ... St. Charles Animal Hospital and its staff care so much about the health and well being of your loved ones that you'll want to move in and live there! Our little girl is very timid and not well socialized, but the staff and doctor (Siskovich) were so amazing with her that even though she was shaking, I knew she was going to be okay. Pretty good place. Rather expensive fees especially for new puppies vs. other vets. I dont always agree with one vet in particular because they sometimes finds ways to make your decision about what you are feeding seem.... terrible, but otherwise good place. I'm sure there are other places in the area that are just as good or even better and not as expensive but I'm not willing to let my fur baby be at risk so I stay with what I know.

Relocated new to the area and started looking for a Vet to care for my family member due to signs of a breathing issue. We stopped in as we seen the sign at the entrance of the roadway and was hoping they would help and not point us to another location like a couple of previous ones had. They took my dog in with no prior scheduled appointment, Dr. Neuman not only provided a clear diagnosis but presented all options and provided me in my family on how to make my 10 year old dogs life more comfortable as well as great education on what was happening, to include listening to his heart so we could hear the issue. The Doc provided a prescriptive pharmaceutical regiment as well as piece of mind for my wife and daughter. Dr. Neuman and his staff were all caring, empathetic and extremely professional. The pharmaceutical regiment was not costly and the office visit fair in price. Though it was clear there was no full cure, it was clear we still had some time with him. Also upon paying my bill the staff had heard that I was Military and they provided a discount. First time in my life I had ever received anything like that from a Vet clinic. Dr. Neuman and this hospital have made me and my family a patron for life or as long as we are in this area. Thank you for everything in this time of change. Facility was clean and comfortable.

My family and I recently went on vacation to Florida and decided not to take our dog with us. We were hesitant due to past issues with boarding but we were very pleased with this hospital for our veterinary services. Boarding was totally awesome for our dog and they were always so pleasant when I called daily to check on our dog, they even put a pic of him on Facebook for us to view while we were away. Our dog even seemed to be more disciplined when we got back if that makes any sense :). It was a great experience and exactly what I expected from them. We will use them for boarding from now on and the peace of mind is beyond words.

I acquired a Yorki from Tina's Tiny Darlings in Oklahoma on Feb 2, 2019. It was a Parti Yorkie, 2.5 months old and I had been trying to get him to me in Maryland for an entire week, but the weather during the week of Jan 28-Feb 1, 2019 was so cold. I took Gino to Dr. Neuman on Feb 4, 2019 and he was so gentle, explained everything to me, Gino had a cough and I was concerned and instead of just prescribing antibiotics, he suggested that we wait and supported his decision with back-up data and studies. Gino needed a shot and he decided to wait versus "just giving him a shot because its needed and Gino was due for another shot." The facility was very clean, the staff greeted me with happy faces and during the entire process, everything was explained step-by-step. My appointment was on-time. The assistants were very attentive. Dr. Neuman is now our new Veterinarian. Love him.

Dr. Solomon did what she could for her and unfortunatly our dog ended up passing away. The doctor, techs and staff were all supportive during this ordeal and treated our Abbie with such love and tenderness during her last moments on earth I can't thank them enough.

Aside from the care my dog receives, I really appreciate the spacious waiting are (although I never wait for long) so all of the animal are not cramped into a tight space, which is stressful to them. Wonderful! I took my dog to St. Charles for her annual exam. The staff was great and the hospital was beautiful! My dog had to get vaccines and her blood drawn, but she was totally fine because the staff were so gentle and friendly with her. The hospital was recently redecorated and it is beautiful. They even had hot chocolate, coffee, and tea to offer, which was really nice on the cold rainy day. We will definitely go back.

Everything went well. They determine my dog had an ear infection in both ears which explains why he do not come when we call him. I have an extremely aggressive 150 lb dog but the vet handled him well.

My cat does NOT like to be handled. He can be rather difficult. The Dr.and Technician handled my cat quite well. They were able to get an x-ray, administer an IV of much needed fluids and get a blood sample. That's a LOT for my cat. I appreciate the kindness and patience show to my cat. He can be a quite disagreeable. I'm also very thankful for the attention to my concerns. I don't know who can get a cat to take a pill, but me nor my husband nor my son can. So they called the company ordered a liquid version for me. We truly appreciate that level of professionalism. We've been with St Charles Animal Hospital for several years now.

St. Charles Animal Hospital has provided my puppy consistent, excellent care over the past six months. The front desk staff is friendly, welcoming and efficient. We have health insurance for our dog and the staff cheerfully have helped us navigate any snags in the claims process. The doctors are generous with their time and knowledge. Dr Neuman, in particular, offers thorough explanations of the problems and solutions. No question goes unanswered. We are thankful for the discount on spaying and the use of laser surgery that makes healing easier. A great practice that I recommend without reservation.

I had been taking my dogs to the same family vet that my parents took our dogs to since I was a child. He has recently retired and I was a little apprehensive about taking them anywhere unfamiliar. But from the moment we walked through the front door I was quickly put at ease with the pleasant, cheerful but professional demeanor of the assistant at the front desk. The waiting room was clean & homely. The vets were personable, and made my dogs comfortable with no signs of anxiety and were thorough with the exams. Price was very affordable as well. We have found our new vets.

They push for unnecessary services just to pad the bill. I took my sick 20 year old cat in, and they wanted to do $900 in diagnostics alone. They pushed hard for a $170 blood test that gave no information. When I had a moment to think I asked if at the age of 20 would the diagnostic tests really result in something that would give a meaningful and happy extension of life, I was told not really and putting money towards palliative care would be the better option. I wish they had told me that before the $170 blood test. I just got a postcard from them listing services that another one of my cats supposedly needs. I'm finding it very hard to believe that my indoor only cat needs to be retested for feline leukemia and FIV or needs to be tested for worms. Just more unnecessary charges. Response to business' response: Telling someone who brought in a pet due to weight loss that the animal is very, very sick and possibly dying and then immediately pressing for diagnostics without giving the client the chance to think is wrong all the way around. Giving a shock like that and not allowing time to process is taking advantage of the person to get unnecessary procedures. And unless the vet didn't review the record, she would have seen notes of a discussion I had with a different vet at your practice where we talked about quality vs quantity of life and I had chosen at that time to not treat an unrelated condition because for my pet specifically quality was better than the itty bitty bit of quantity she would gain.

I have taken my chiweenie Gibson to this vet for over 5 years. The staff are always friendly and make you feel very comfortable. The waiting area is always clean and they provide snacks and drinks while you wait. Gibson usually sees Dr. Davis or Dr. S. They are both very supportive, detailed oriented and genuinely care about Gibson. Gibson has had a disc issue for over a year. He has had to have several laser treatments that have helped him tremendously every time he has a flare up and is unable to walk. Missy who is an assistant is THE BEST! I request her every time I take Gibson into the office. She is very polite, respectful, caring and does a phenomenal job with Gibson who is extremely anxious and has behavior issues. Unfortunately, Gibson has had a recent flare up with his disc issue. I was terrified that this would be the time I would hear that he would need the typical back surgery that is common with his breed. We had Dr. Neuman who I have always heard great reviews about but had yet to meet. He is by far MY FAVORITE veterinarian. He was very professional and made me feel comfortable about Gibson's reoccurring back injury. Dr. Neuman was very thorough, provided a ton of helpful information and was very optimistic that Gibson would be okay. I was a nervous wreck going into the office but once I started talked with Dr. Neuman I was instantly put at ease. He was very honest and provided excellent tips on how to treat Gibson's life long injury. I HIGHLY recommend this animal hospital for any pet. Dr. S and Dr. Davis are great but from now on I will request Dr. Neuman. He is truly phenomenal along with the assistant Missy. Thank you St. Charles Animal Hospital for the continuous positive experiences and the support you have provided Gibson and myself! We can never thank you enough for the amazing experiences and miracles you have done for Gibson!

They have a Great Team, and I like the email updates/technology that keep us abreast of our dog's shots, etc. We have a 110lb Bullmastiff and they didn't mind lovingly playing/wrestling with him to give him his shots/exam. He's recovered now and has been neutered and vaccinated thanks to the staff. They've followed up with phone calls to check in on him too.

Twice now St. Charles Animal Hospital has gone above and beyond for my furbabies! This is my babies regular vet and I've always been EXTREMELY pleased with their thoroughness during appointments, wait times, and overall care and concern. I have dealt with all 3 doctors, and all are equally amazing! When we unexpectedly lost our 2 year old yorkie last year, a single rose in a vase was delivered to our house with a signed card with everyone's signature and heartfelt notes. Everyone from the front desk staff to techs, to the doctors truly cares. 2 times now I've had emergencies with my babies, and BOTH times they have been able to be seen right away. The first time my 5lb yorkie swallowed my son's ADHD pill. Can you say yorkie on speed?! We brought him in and they graciously fit him in and the end of a very long day I'm sure. Dr. Davis was so sweet and compassionate dealing with Max. They called the next day to check on him, and even a few days after. This second time we were literally driving on the side of a mountain coming home from vacation, and told if we can make it to them by a certain time, immediately come in. Somehow my shorkie Bandit had swallowed fluff from his bedding. This time I was greeted by Dr. Neuman. We went over several different options for him, and was ultimately sent home with instructions and Dr. Neuman's personal email to keep in touch. As of this review he is still having issues and even though Dr. Neuman isn't in the office this weekend, he is conversing with me about follow up treatment. Did I mention on his day off?! I will FOREVER be a customer of St. Charles Animal Hospital. I can't say enough amazing things about them.

The staff are very friendly and organized. The facility is nice. Dr. Neuman is wonderful, and all of the techs are too. We have been very pleased with the quality of care and expertise provided. We have used St. Charles Animal Hospital for luxating patella diagnosis and surgery, ear infection, wound care, vaccinations, and general health concerns. They are not as cheap as some other vets, but their pricing is fair. Their level of care and services provided for our pup are what we'd expect for ourselves.

Service has always been good until, my dog recently gotten a shot and started to have a reaction to the shot. Dogs where healthy dogs and nothing was wrong with either dog before the shots.Before my dog gotten the shot there was a paper giving to me of reactions that could happen.I informed the animal hospital of the symptoms my dog was having from the shot. They tell me it’s not from the shot it’s from my dogs into to something. My dogs are house dogs who get walked three times a day I see everything they are into. I will not be coming back or referring anyone to this hospital ever.

In 2014 I was given a small Yorkie and needed a Vet. I called St. Charles Animal Hospital and they saw Tomi girl right away. They listed all shots she would need and when they needed to be given. They explained to me about Yorkies and what to watch out for. I am very happy to have a vet I can trust.

This review speaks to the care I have received from Dr. Neuman and his office staff. Dr. Neuman is currently treating my four elderly cats. If you are looking for a professional and caring vet, he is both. His thorough explanations of all procedures is a welcome relief to any pet owner. There is never any push to do anything, but he presents the pros and cons. The emphasis on pain management after surgical procedures was extremely important to me. My cats were handled with respect and gentleness. I could always reach him for answers to my questions. Everyone I came in contact with was exceptional. What makes a difference in this office is sufficient staff handling the variety of jobs that need to be done so the customer does not feel left hanging or rushed. The vet techs were knowledgeable, and the front office runs with calm precision. Anyone who has ever visited a vet's office where it is a mad house will appreciate how this office runs. A small but important touch is cats and dogs have opposite sides in the waiting room. I also feel that if anyone has any problems with how their pet is handled or the treatment they receive, Dr. Neuman would want to know about it. His emphasis seems to be on care to your pet and YOU. I've been elsewhere, but as long as Dr. Neuman is practicing, he will be my choice.

The staff here are hands down the best! So friendly, helpful and will do anything to make sure your pets are taken care of. Our German Shepherd has ongoing GI issues and all of the vets involved in her care have been so helpful. My boyfriend and I could not be any happier.

Love all the doctors, they really care about your animal. They told me about optional shots my previous vet never gave my dogs. They recommend the shots because we live in the woods and our dogs have wooded area to run and play. Dr. Davis took a long time making my fear aggressive dog comfortable so she was able to do the exam and never suggested a muzzle. Dr. Davis also took the time to read through the previous vet records and got to know our family. Their waiting room even has a dog side and a cat side! So happy I found this practice!!!

I never rate anything about a company until this time. The staff was so rude. I forgot to mention this kitten I brought in I found and tried to hand feed it. It was sick. They made me feel out of place all they were worried about was money. We Only get paid if we receive money from you. We r not like regular doctors who can write it off. So I pd them 144.00 and the girl had the nerve to ask for my SSN. REALLY. They wanted 300.00 and I can't call to see how the kitten is doing. Drug addicts can get there kids back but I can't ask to see how the kitten is doing. I will NEVER RECOMMEND this place

We were traveling through St. Charles in our motor home with our two Golden Retrievers. Both got sick during our trip home. The people at Sundemier RV Park in St. Charles recommended your clinic. The lady we talked to on the phone was very understanding and got us in that afternoon to see Dr. Katy. She was absolutely wonderful. She diagnosed both dogs quickly and prescribed medicine for both. We gave them the medicine and food prescribed and they started to get better quickly. A few days after returning home to Kansas City, they both were completely recovered and have had no further problems. Thank you St. Charles Animal Hospital.

I took the next of my cats here years ago who after we moved had become suddenly very lethargic and presented with a high fever. They ran all sorts of tests, did not talk to me about them first or how much anything was going to cost so I ended up with a much larger bill then I had expected. But they were friendly and quick to get him in. They diagnosed him with cancer and referred us to an oncologist is Annapolis for chemo. My cat freaked out in the car and would hyperventilate, I was so worried about driving him that far. I spoke to aa frien and she told me to get a second opinion with her vet. We took him for the second opinion and took the blood work results with us. He said there was one more test he could run to rule out cancer..because he wasn't so sure about the diagnosis. Turns out he did not have cancer, after seeing the new blood test result...he had toxoplasmosis and needed so more long term antibiotics. My cat did not have to go through the stress of travel and I did not have to have un-needed very expensive oncologist bills. They are pretty friendly here and were able to get him in fairly quick but are very expensive and are not upfront with you about costs and I feel did not take the time to really consider what might have really been going on with my cat. We have several pets and I do realize urgent cet visits can be expensive..trust me on that..but I feel like vets need to communicate with you the costs so you are prepared and do not have "sticker shock" or a heart attack when you go to check out. Also sometimes there are less expensive tests that can be run first to rule out certain things before moving on to more testing that may not be necessary. This is what my current vet does.

I've had nothing but good experiences at this office. At our latest visit, the Technicians and Dr. Siskovich were absolutely wonderful. My pitbull, Holly, loved all the attention she got - they really made her feel comfortable. It's the same no matter which of my dogs goes to the vet. They are all warm, caring people who really love the animals they see, which is important to me in a vet. After all, we can't explain to our pets why they're there, so it's nice that the staff really tries to make them as comfortable as possible.

This past Saturday, June 2, 2018, we had to make the difficult decision to put down our beloved St Bernard, Mr. Bentley. Dr. Siskovich and staff were amazing. It was one of the most calming, caring and heartfelt Humane Euthanasia I have ever experienced. The care they gave us and our Mr. Bentley, I can not give enough stars for. They explained the process and did not rush us at all. Placed us in a room with Bentley to spend as much time as we wanted and needed. Loved on us during our difficult time and ensured all our wishes for Bentley were taken care of. St. Charles Animal Hospital is top notch and the staff treat you like family. I highly recommend them for your vet needs. I have been with them for more than 18 years and have never been disappointed with their service.
