Sadly, we were traveling in Solomon’s when our elderly golden retriever had to be put down. We showed up at this vet first thing in the morning and they accommodated us quickly and were so, so nice. It was a sad occasion that brought us to them but we are so grateful they made the process quick and as painless as possible for us and our fur baby.

Solomons Vet does a great job of putting your pet's comfort first. My pup has severe anxiety. They gave me some meds to give him prior to an appointment. Then, they have bandanas for them with Adaptil sprayed on them for more calming. I truly appreciate how they work with my pup when he comes to the doc.

The staff is nice but the (doctor) vet was condescending towards me when I asked about a procedure. She threw all these medical terms my way....we just weren't on the same page as far as pet care goes. My old vet of 15 years is an hour and a half away and I chose to go back to Dr. Shah for a second opinion and he did not recommend the $1200 surgery they were going to do on my sweet dog. Also, they are pricey in my view.

Usually fast and friendly. Great coffee and candy! Very accommodating to excited pets. Some small exams rooms especially if you have two larger dogs and people plus the staff. As soon as a larger room was available they moved us without asking.

They treat our special family members like they are their family. That makes me feel great. They are amazing at what they do, and they do not make me feel rushed or put off. SVMC has some amazing staff that is very caring and really is there for you. I have lost two dogs with them. They were very supportive through my hard times of him fighting cancer, and then when I had to make the decision to put him down. The other was a sudden death, and again the support was unreal. If you live in the area, they are the best place to go to!!! ❤️

When our cat needed to be put to sleep due to rapidly deteriorating health and increasing discomfort, the vet we usually use was not available. I called Solomon's and they were able to see her as soon as we could bring her. They were amazing. Everything from the quiet, private room to say goodbye in, to the paw print plaster, to the sympathy card in the mail, made it feel like they understood that it was a family member we were losing. I couldn't have asked for a more compassionate, dignified place to say goodbye.

Our dog developed cancer 1year after being seen by this clinic. They insisted on vaccines we had NEVER heard of and labeled our baby "aggressive" and treated him with tranquilizers he had never received before. We paid over $3k for emergency surgery to save his life. Afterwards, we called other local vet clinics and the surgery could've been done for half the price; these clinics are comparable to Solomons or rate higher than Solomons.I typically don't post reviews but BEWARE everything in Solomon's isn't premium!

THEY ALMOST KILLED MY CAT! Run, run, run! I only brought my cat in for a couple of optional procedures at over $1200 and not only do they try to get you to sign up for many more $$$$ procedures including too early re-inoculations, but my cat left there with a nasty upper respiratory infection (URI), and later bloody noses and renal disease caused by the prescription they sold me and instructed me to give her for 4 or 5 days - Metacam, aka Meloxicam which specifically states on the insert (that is also available online) that it is ONLY FOR DOGS and CAN CAUSE RENAL FAILURE OR DEATH IN CATS. That doctor denied she even had a bloody nose the first time I brought her back in even telling me that my cat bit her lip. A couple of days later, I brought her back in to see a different doctor who could see that she was sick. Ultimately, she was hospitalized for 5 days. She almost died and when I went to get her, it didn't even look like her she was so freaked out, and she dug her claws into me shaking when I initially held her. They did cover the costs of that and her first subcutaneous fluids of which I was not prepared to learn how to administer nor even given a heads up that it was coming topped off by a 3 hour visit while I was extraordinarily dehydrated, drained, and in need of food, but told it wouldn’t be long when I asked about going out to my car to get my water before even seeing my cat. Another visit and a third bloody nose which covered the better part of a tissue with another doctor there who insinuated that she was sick when I initially brought her in for the optional procedures and that she had a virus that caused her URI from being outside (nine years prior), cost me an additional $50. Since the hospitalization they have refused to cover the costs of what they are responsible for even letting me bring her all the way there, a car trip that now causes her to vomit and/or drool since these traumatic events, but they refused treatment until I paid for the previous visit that was solely based on the renal disease at $136. After paying that and her being seen 2 and 1/2 hours later, I was threatened that they would withhold her test results if I didn't pay the bill again, an additional $169. One of the doctors called me a number of days later, told me some test results and recommended my cat continue subcutaneous fluids at least 1x/week. After that unethical treatment, I tried to get a prescription through a pet pharmacist of which the Solomons Veterinary Medical Center office manager refused to honor or allow a vet to write until and unless I called her the following Monday. This message was left for me by the pharmacist on Saturday, over two weeks after that last appointment of $169 over a week in which she should have had another session of subcutaneous fluids administered. Not only was the Solomon's Veterinary Medical Center office manager rude, argumentative, and unethical, she tried to insinuate that I was trying to get my cat's general healthcare paid for by them when I was only there for the renal disease they directly caused. This would infuriate any pet owner, particularly this one who has researched many hours to find clean, nutritious food for a pet, a family member’s ultimate health who took her pet into Solomon’s Veterinary Medical Center for optional procedures with a normal and healthy cat whose test levels are there in black and white in her records. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Excellent comprehensive care with lots of love. The only veterinary facility I've ever used that follows up within 36 hours of visit (test results, shots, disposition of pet, etc). Quality care facilitated excellent pet growth in 6 weeks!

These people are all about overcharging you. They don't care about you or your pet. They just care about the $$$$. They try to get you to pay for unnecessary services and when you don't go there, they turn you into Animal Control. DO NOT USE THIS VET UNLESS.

We have been more than pleased with Solomons Veterinary Medical since we started taking our many animals to them. We love Dr Edwards and her devotion to our animals, the first time we met her was when our Cat (scruffy) had a medical emergency and she left her dinner to come in and see him. She goes the extra mile to research issues and always calls to ensure we understand the treatment. The entire staff at the clinic show great concern for the animal's welfare along with our's. We had to have our beloved Dog Shadow put down and they were very kind and considerate throughout the whole ordeal. Compared to other vets in the area (and we have used a few until we found Solomon's vet) the service and knowledge is well above par. The staff has always listened to our concerns and responded in a timely pleasent manner and with the appropriate information.
