Rocky Gorge is amazing and I am so thankful for them. They are my normal vet and I have always loved my cats regular vet, Dr. Weistock, but recently I had to unfortunately use the animal hospital services for an emergency and all I can say is that the staff in the ER is phenomenal. They kept me informed every step of the way and did everything to help my cat from the time I initially called and their instruction of what to do prior to coming in, to the time my cat was admitted into the hospital over night for multiple days. I was given updates every 12 hours of the status of my cat and how he was doing and always answered any questions I had. They allowed me to come and visit with my cat while he was admitted and gave me nearly two hours to sit and spend time with him. We luckily had a positive outcome from our emergency and all looks like it’s going to be okay for the future and I truly believe the quick actions of the ER staff helped save me from permanent future medical complications with my sweet cat. The staff was so kind and caring when I was beside myself distraught over my sick animal. I have always loved Rocky Gorge for their professional and positive attitudes with normal vet services, but after having an emergency situation and using the ER services, it’s confirmed that they are truly the best around. I will never go anywhere else.

Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital is by far the best practice around. I have been to numerous vets over the years until someone referred me to RGAH and I will not be going anywhere else. Everyone from the front desk staff to the vet techs and actual veterinarians are genuinely wonderful and kind. They truly love animals and take the time to explain the diagnosis and medications. I have never experienced such professionalism and compassion at a vet's office. Not only is the service that much better but they charge about one half of what the other offices in Howard County do. I was shocked at first because I expected to pay more for better care for my dog. If you want your animals to receive the best care from people that truly love doing what they do you need to go to Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital. I know that other reviews specifically mentioned one of the doctors but I have seen them all as I have had to take my dog in for several sick/emergency visits and they are all stellar!

I have been going to Rocky Gorge for many, many years. I have regularly scheduled appointments, and I have been there in the middle of the night for emergencies. I have 4 dogs and 1 cat; and whenever I am there, they make me feel like my pet is their top priority. I like the fact that they give you an estimate if they "think" the problem may be extensive, and many times the bill has come in well under their estimate. Being able to pay an pick up your meds while still in the exam room is great and reduces wait times. In comparing costs with friends, Rocky Gorge consistently comes in at a lower cost for the same procedure. Routine medications are cheaper than Pet Meds or Petsmart. You can also have routine meds shipped to you in the mail and avoid having to drive there (I live in Columbia) I highly recommend Rocky Gorge!!

I had to take my baby Savannah in on Monday to Dr. Farnan. She was great because she did not choose the most expensive test at the time like "I" suggested but went slowly to see why my Savannah was throwing up all the time. Savannah is seven years old as of 10 April, 2015. I like that she takes progressive steps and doesn't go to the extreme/expensive first. She gave my Savannah a thorough check up and did some test... We still don't know the diagnosis because her thyroid test had to be sent out but I am CONFIDENT Dr. Farnan will figure out what is going on with my baby girl and I thank her! Dr. Farnan is our regular vet and I request her by name because she is very good with my girls and is a very gentle doctor.

The entire facility, including the vestibule, waiting area and exam rooms have smelled very strongly of urine every time i have been there. Proper cleanup proceedures could easily prevent the unreasonable strength of the odor. I have never been in a facility that smelled that bad, including othet vets, private kennels that i worked in, and goverment animal control facilities. Rocky gorge is simply being lazy. They smile at you untill you wont agree to every single recomendation they throw at you in a very calculated, blood sucking, aggresive, pretentious manor. Its obvious they are rattling off lists that corporate has insisted they push on you. These people are after our money, more so than any of the other 6 vets i have brought animals to. We were pressured into a wellness plan that ended up costing us more than it would have to pay out of pocket. Yes, we were a bit nieve, and i am willing to take responsibility for not cancelling earlier, or recognizing that the facility did not have me or my cats best interest at heart, because their primary concern actually is money. I use to think people who said that were wrong, and just wanted to have a reason to avoid spending money on an 'animal' Rocky gorge has completely popped that silly bubble of mine!! We recieved a text saying it was time to bring our cat in for a rabies vacination. This should have been covered by our wellness plan, which we paid monthly via autopay. We did not use the plan for anything. Our intention going in was to pay out of pocket for our second cat, who was going to this particular vet fot the first time, because we had learned our lesson about the wellness plan not being worth it for our situation. The vacine would atleast make it so that we had wasted less money on the wellness plan. After our cats had been manhandled, the vet tech comes back in to charge us. She tells us that the vacine will not be covered unless we renew our plan. Instead of agreeing, which is what i imagine she expected, i tell her that we are not renewing, because the plan was costing and not saving us money. She replys by saying it tends to only be worth it for kittens, but that i can just renew and then cancell. It was difficult to recieve any clarification, because she seemed to barely understand the situation herself, but had been trained to simply ask for more money. ( have us renew a plan that i had already explained lost us money) My husband asked specifically, is our plan still active while bringing up his bank account app as evidence if she were to say no. She said it was still active, but repeated that without renewing, the vacine was not covered. What i believe she was trying to say is that the plan covers one rabbi shot a year, and that because we brought our cat in before a full year had passed, we had to agree to pay for an entire new year for it to be covered. She was unable to articulate anything beyond, its not our fault, thats the way it is, and renew or you must pay out of pocket, while also insisting that they were not trying to make us pay out of pocket, every time i repeated we were not renewing and were going to pay out of pocket to get our wallet away from a business with predatory practices. The plan itself says that vacines are covered acording to dr recomendation. We nievely asumed that recieving a message from the vet saying its time to bring your cat in for a rabies shot meant that it was time, according to dr recomendation, and that it would be covered. If i had been treated with respect i would have dropped it and took the financial loss as a lesson. What has pushed me to write this review is that rocky gorge is refusing to return our calls. We called simply to cancel the plan, and were told a particular individual needed to do that, who was not in her office but would call us back that day. We called the next day and were told that the women was just seen walking to her office and that she would transfer us, and try to get her to pick up. She did not answer so we left another message. Turns out its not so easy to cancel.

I have been taking my dog here for 5 years now, and I have always been extremely satisfied with their service. Every doctor I have seen is extremely knowledgeable and takes a lot of time during an office visit to answer my questions, elaborate on my questions, and examine my dog. What makes me even more pleased to recommend their business is their commitment to fantastic service. Recently I was not pleased with an appointment, basically I called to ask if I needed an appointment, I was told I did even though I did not. When I contacted them about this, they immediately refunded the cost of my office visit and apologized. They go above and beyond to ensure that I am always completely satisfied with their services, and I have always been. I won't take my dog anywhere else!

Sunday early morning I was trail running with my healthy 3 year old GSP when he suddenly went into respiratory distress and passed away in my arms. I was far from home so rushed him to the nearest vet, which happened to be Rocky George Animal Hospital, knowing that it was too late. The compassion and professionalism exhibited by the staff was amazing. As a critical care doc I felt a great deal of helplessness and guilt in not being able to do anything for my pup. Dr. Tracy Thompson obtained postmortem imaging, answered my questions (difficult ones given the circumstances) and offered a reasonable diagnosis. Her empathy and professionalism helped me process what had happened and is a good reminder of how it feels to be on the other side of the doctor-patient relationship. The staff was patient and accommodating while we decided what to do with the remains. Several days later we received a beautiful card with their condolences which meant the world to my wife and kids. Of note, our own veterinarian has not yet returned our message about the death. When we are ready to add another pup to our family I would drive the 30 minutes for appointments and checkups.

I've been a customer with Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital for almost 15 years now and I can truly state state that they provide excellent care for your pets! I have three small breed dogs and go there on a regular basis for the healthcare of my pets. I've also used their boarding services a few times. I can only recommend them, all of their vets are top notch, their facility is clean, the staff is very friendly! Why would you go anywhere else!

Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital is such a great practice I drive 1 1/2 hours to get there anytime my pets need to see a vet. I highly recommend you give them a chance to earn your business. All of the doctors really care about the well being of their clients and it shows. The prices are very good and the facility is clean and laid out very well. I especially appreciate the credit card readers in each exam room so you can pay without having to deal with other pets and distractions in the lobby.

We had a very good experience at Rocky Gorge for my rescued dog's first vet visit. She is still quite skittish around strangers and other dogs. When the vet assistant noticed we were struggling a bit, she took us back into a room where my dog could feel more at ease. Dr. Lane made my dog feel very comfortable and she answered all my questions and was very helpful with addressing behavioral issues my dog was having. We were able to request the vet we wanted and got our appointment quickly. I would highly recommend this Animal Hospital for your pet's overall care.

We have 5 cats and a large dog. Rocky Gorge provides excellent care for all of our animals; from annual checkups and vaccinations to knee surgery. Great experience. Picked up early Sunday morning very nice greeting everything went smoothly. One issue- I was not told until I picked my dog up that there was a $7.00 surcharge for holiday season this was June 26th not the 4th of July. I thought that was a bit strange. Other than that experience was great.

I would like to give a 0.I took a bunny there that my husband had found and taken care of for 2 weeks. It was an emergency and they said he may be in there for 3 days and they charged us $700 off the bat, before even looking at him and they said it may cost up to $1400 by the third day. First of all I've been to many vets, and they never charge or estimate a bill before they've even examined it. In 30 hours, they had spent the $700 dollars to the penny by the time they put it to sleep! What a total rip off. Then they said they give me a refund of $250, but only in the form of credit to the Animal Hospital. My pet was now gone, when am I going to be able to use it? Total rip-off.

This is my new vet in Maryland, that is for sure. I am from California and moved to MD in January, but it took me a while to find a good vet. Highly recommended.

We had an animal that was critically injured and after an hour of trying to find help close to where I lived, I found this place Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital that is open 24hrs for emergency care. This was my Yorkie's first hospital :) He has passed a lived a wonderful 13.5 years with us and having this hospital by his side :) I remember when this hospital was just one small house :) The veterinarians here are the best and truly care about your dog and even you. Their hours are great! Easy to schedule! The only thing that I had a problem with is the people who answer the phone. Yes, there are some who are great but then there are some that are very dull and give a slight attitude if you are asking a question just to clear something up. However, when we are there for our appointments they are great and very attentive! This place is very clean and their office is beautiful (it is shaped like a bird house). Since I have not gone to other pet hospitals I don't know how to compare with prices. Routine exams were around $40-50 and tests varied. The night we had to put my dog down, because he was very ill, this hospital did a great job. We saw the veterinarian quickly and were given a room where the door led us right outside so those in the waiting room wouldn't have to see us in tears and, of course, we didn't want others to see us suffer from our dog passing. One thing I did not like was during that visit the veterinarian kept on saying "she" and "her" when my dog was a boy. I had to correct him 2 times. But other than that, our last visit was great. We even received a beautiful card from this hospital with their condolences and HAND written messages from the staff. When I received that letter, I knew that we took our beloved dog to an amazing and caring hospital. This place is great and I will definitely bring my next dog here.

On 03/18/18 I had to put my dog down due to unfortunate circumstances. The visit itself was pleasant as far as paperwork. Instead of walking into the lobby with tears in my eyes, we were able to wait in the comfort of our vehicle. The technician came outside and we were escorted to a side door that led to their room that was dedicated for the sole purpose of euthanasia. The room itself was dull and uncomfortable. The technician that came in to take our information as far as body care goes was very sweet but she printed the wrong paperwork for cremation. Kind of unsettling to say the least !. No one brought in a blanket, towel or even a pillow for our dog to rest on or for us to sit on with her to enjoy our last moments together. The time that it took for a doctor to come into the room was unbelievably long. During that time, we were asked if we wanted any paw prints (ink or clay) and of course we said yes. We requested 3 ink paw prints and were charged $15.00 per ink paw print. Here's why I'm giving this place 2 stars and it barely deserves that. I went to RGAH on 4/22/18 to pick up the ink paw prints and the receptionist walked around for over 10 minutes searching for these paw prints. Be minded, I called ahead of time to ask that they be ready for pick-up because I didn't wanna spend more time there than needed. After finally asking someone else she points out that they are in a basket labeled "To-Be Mailed" (we stated before leaving that we wanted to pick them up) The ink paw prints were done on 4x6 blank card stock paper and stuck in a blank card with a generic printed "Sorry for your loss" writing inside of it. Not one person even had the courtesy to even sign a simple name or small grieving message. On top of that, the paw prints were light and dainty. 2 of them were smudged and I am just beyond disgusted with how they were going to be presented. I did however, receive a signed card in the mail signed by the veterinarian and the tech who assisted in the euthanasia for my pet which I do appreciate but for an animal hospital who deals with pet loss on a daily basis, you would think that the aftermath of all this would be more tasteful. I will never use RGAH for any of animals of whether it be for future euthanasia or general pet care. There is no excuse for this, whatsoever. I hope change comes to this clinic in this matter.

Great Vet service. Nice location, lots of parking (free), gracious staff, comfortable waiting area. The Vet I saw was very helpful and gave me useful feedback on a cat I recently adopted. They also said that they would train me on how to clip her nails (never had a cat with nails before this one). courtesy and very reasonable in their prices. I would recommend them without hesitation.

My cat has been receiving regular care at Rocky Gorge for about a year now ever since she was diagnosed with diabetes. She regularly see's Dr. Farnin who is excellent and has given me plenty of good advise about how to administer her 2x daily insulin injections and her overall health. I recently had to take my cat into Rocky Gorge for an emergency situation. She was crashing, no energy, barely moving, her eyes were going vacant. I called first, explained what I was seeing and they told me to bring her in immediately. They saw her as soon as I got there and took great care of her over the next two days. My cat receives excellent treatment from all the tech's and the doctors at Rocky Gorge.

Dr Ray is my doctor for both of my dogs and I absolutely love her, she's a straight shooter which is so good because I want to know everything and know what I'm not doing right. Brought my dog here since she was a puppy. Rocky Gorge have hands down been the best vet practice I have ever encountered. Two years ago my corgi, Dezi, went through an ordeal with bladder stones. Long story short she had the stones removed surgically, but suffered complications and had an emergency stay at Rocky Gorge for a week. We thought we were going to lose our girl. Rocky Gorge's team saved her life, they went above and beyond for her and my family. Not only were they incredible during this time, but we had many follow up visits and they didn't miss a beat. They truly treated Dezi like family and thanks to their guidance, she's been stone free and loving life for two years! A special thanks to Dr. Weistock who was there for us for all of our follow up visits with Dezi.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this animal hospital. I drive 30 minutes and pass numerous other veterinarians to see Dr. Sallie Morris. She is the best and like no other veterinarian we have ever seen. She truly puts the patients well being above the $. She will work with you as best as she can to get your pet the treatment it needs. She performed a surgery on my mothers dog that 5 other veterinarians wouldn't touch, and gave her another year of life. Her supporting staff is just as friendly and kind, from the front desk to the technicians. The facility is state of the art and has everything you need including a full pharmacy, spa, boarding and doggy day camp. I will never use another animal hospital as long as I have pets!!! Thank you for your excellent, flawless service.

Rocky Gorge, Dr. Sallie Morris, has been our vet for over 12 years. Our dog needed femural head surgery and a few other surgeries to have cysts removed. Dr. Morris is the best ever. Now, we take my mother's dog as well. Dr. Morris and staff are compassionate and understanding, even if we can be a bit daft! The prices are reasonable for the services provided. I have taken all my dogs to Rocky Gorge since I moved into the area 10 years ago. My pets receive the best of care. While they may be not the cheapest, I firmly believe you get what you pay for. The doctors and staff have always been courteous and go out of their way to explain things in easy to understand terms. Recently, I needed to have one of my Schipperkes stay in the resort for a couple of days. You know they had a good time when the pet is brought out and they go to greet the staff even after they see you.

My son found an injured rabbit around 10 pm, by chance he found someone that lead him to Rocky Gorge. They were so kind, so wonderful. They took the rabbit in right away and after a quick exam got him on pain meds. The rabbit (exotic) doctor was due in at 2 am, and would examine him then. They called this morning to let us know that they had done x-rays, the rabbit had a shattered pelvis and had to be euthanized. When I asked if my son had already paid, they said there was no charge for a good Samaritan. I am so impressed by this place. We'd never been before, and the fact that they did x-rays on an injured wild rabbit, and then didn't charge us, is incredible. What a wonderful place, what wonderful people all around. Thank you for all you did, for my son and the rabbit. You are good human beings.

I've been taking my pets to Rocky Gorge for about 25 years. They have always been professional and compassionate, treating my "babies" like their own! I moved away for a few years, and when I came back they had completely renovated - what a beautiful establishment! I love that they are capable of running a full range of diagnostic tests and even have their own surgical center. I recently took one of my dogs for what I thought was a urinary tract infection, but they were able to determine that she also had bladder stones - and fit her into their schedule to remove them within a few days! I live 16 miles away, and have NO PROBLEM traveling to Rocky Gorge for the level of care my pets receive.

I have taken my little girl pom to RGAH since I got her. She is a retired POM show dog and the previous owner/breeder was kind enough to allow her to retire at my home. We have become great friends and nothing, nothing is too good for my little girl. All the people at RGAH are top notch and I wouldn't take her anywhere else for preventive or emergency care. When my pom had a medical emergency she was taken care of immediately. The entire staff always treats you with great care and compaction. Whatever time of the day or night I have arrived I know i can count on being greeted by a compassionate staff and an extremely clean and friendly environment. While we have a regular doctor at RGAH, my little pom has been treated by no less than 3 different doctors there and the care has always been top notch. Nothing is too good for a member of the family.

Found RGAH 2 years ago for my kitty and have been going there since. I now have 1 cat and 2-50 lb dogs that go here. The staff is always friendly and Dr. Wolchinsky is great with my fur-babies. The front desk is always helpful with scheduling and questions and appointments are rather easy to come by. Saturday appointments are a little more hectic due to walk-ins as well as appointments, but I love the ability to walk-in when I need it. I have not used the Resort & Spa part of RGAH, only vet services. I find the prices of the Resort and Spa to be high, but the vet services are comparable.

WARNING: Do not let your pet be taken back for any procedures if you are not allowed to accompany them into the treatment room. I permitted the staff at Rocky Gorge to take my 13 year old dog back for what I thought would be a simple ultrasound on her belly. After waiting an hour, my dog came out of the treatment room walking in an unusual manner. It was as if her shoulder had been dislocated. Her walk was what we referred to as "goose-stepping." I immediately called out loudly to the staff who led her on the leash "What is wrong with my dog?" I rushed to my dog to check her out. I asked them if something had happened during the procedure. The response I received was less than adequate. Apparently, they had my dog on her back for a full hour. No doubt she was not comfortable. I asked them to have her checked out to make certain she didn't have any injuries. The staff turned around to take her back to the emergency vet and when I tried to follow, I was again told that I was not able to go with her. This is a huge red flag. I should be able to accompany my dog into any area that she goes. She continued to become very unstable on her feet, developed a serious head tilt and could no longer support her body to even walk a straight line. She now has to be carried up and down stairs and fed by hand. It has taken months and thousands of dollars in treatments to work on treating the damage that was done during this procedure. She may have a permanent head tilt due to the damage done to her spine. Even though I was not in the room during the procedure, I had a dog who walked on her own into the treatment room and then she came out unable to walk properly and has been suffering ever since. I should have refused to let her go into the room by herself without me and then demanded to see the emergency vet with her. The damage and suffering caused to my beautiful girl was unnecessary and handled in a very unsympathetic manner. I will never bring another pet to this facility.

Rocky Gorge is a great place to bring your furry friends. The staff is attentive and helpful and the doctors are fabulous and attentive. My first dog didn't like to be touched and my current dog is very scared of strangers. However, both dogs always felt comfortable. I had to put my first dog to rest everyone was so kind. The receptionist greeted us at the door. The process was the best it could have been. Then when I was leaving, they built a way out not passing through the other patrons. I really like this place, they have always taken good care of my pets. Even though it is very pricey here now I still think its worth it for my pets because Dr.W is the absolute best...however, the only complaint I have is for their employee named KEVIN. He is very rude every time he answers the phone and I am tired of dealing with his attitude at times. It makes calling and going here an unpleasant experience. There is no need for his behavior at times. If he is unhappy working here, perhaps he should find a job where he is more happy, or where he doesn't have to deal with customer service. Because I will tell you one thing, he is not good at it.

This place used to be wonderful, but as they grew prices went up and quality of care went down. When I tried to make an appt with Dr. W for my 16 year old pup who had only been treated at Rocky Gorge, to decide if her time had come, I had to schedule out for days. I requested the doctor call me in the meantime because due to the sensitivity of this appt I needed him to be with me when making this decision. After 3 calls he never called back, I ultimately switched vets to find out she had a herniated disc easily treatable. BUT imagine my surprise when I got a sympathy card from Dr. W for the loss of my pet who is very much alive!!!!!!! I would never take my pets there again.

Took dog in for an “emergency” visit only because they didn’t have any appointments until 5 days later. Tech was so rude. “We consider this to be a chronic condition and you need to make an appointment and bring her back then”. Um when I called they said I should bring her right in and they we sorry it would be an “emergency” visit. I said I’m here I’m staying to see the vet. Saw vet she took blood and gave her an allergy med “atopica” for her chronic scratching. It did nothing for her. So disappointed in a business that I have used for many family pets will not return here ever. Very bad experience. ALL ABOUT THE MONEY now. So sad. We were just introduced to RGAH within the past 2 years by our neighbor who gave a stellar recommendation to us when we got our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. We started going there and immediately noticed several positive things: (1) their charges for services are significantly lower than the veterinarians in the Bowie area, (2) their facility is clean, top-notch, and state-of-the-art, (3) the staff is welcoming, cheerful, and friendly, (4), they're a 24-hr. facility so no worries if you have an emergency at midnight on a Sunday (which we did!), (5) their doctors and tech's are some of the best in the business and personally care about their patients, and (6) you check-out and pay your bill right in the exam room without having to go back to the front desk! What's not to like?! We have nothing but good things to say about this amazing and wonderful place! Have never had a bad experience there in the 2 years we've been using them.

(Resort& Spa ) I was very disappointed of how my dog was cared for during my vacation. They didn't care if he ate or not and they lied to me about it. I love my dog and have many friends that go there. I will be speaking to all of them to let them know about my experience. It's very sad to worry your whole vacation. It's hard enough leaving them .and all you get from the manager is I'm sorry. My dog is everything to our family. When we picked him up his bottom was red and so dirty and very tender. Rocky Gorge helps us keep 3 dogs going strong, ranging from a 1.5 yr old wild-child to the 12 year old queen. They are always patient, available and tolerant, even when we aren't feeling the same. This place is absolutely amazing. I'm here almost every two weeks due to my dog having a problem with his blood platelets and I'm sure I've dealt with everyone here. I love everyone. The staff at the front desk are so welcoming and sweet. They always give my dog attention! He loves it! The vets that have worked with me are blessings. They have worked so hard to help my dog and even my cat. When my dog first got sick, we were there for hours running lots of tests trying to figure out what was wrong, and the doctor never once showed that he didn't care. He was so determined to help my dog, and I could never thank him enough. He saved his life, and I'm so grateful. Everyone shows love to the animals and they show how much they really care. I'm amazed at how much they care! And I know that they will be here for me when the day comes that my dog must go, and I find relief knowing I can trust them. Everyone knows my dog, and everyone takes time to speak to us. I love love love this place. My mother takes all of her animals here as well. I have all the respect in the world for these guys and thank all of them for being so caring and amazing. I honestly wish I could get treated here when I'm sick! This place is better than any patient first or urgent care I've ever been to! Animals that get treated here just don't know how lucky they are!! And from What I've seen, Rocky Gorge just keeps getting better and better.

I can't stop saying great things about Rocky Gorge. We have had nothing but exceptional service here. We moved to Sykesville and still make the trip to Laurel to the vet. Today we had an appointment for shots. While we were getting out of the car, my daughter slammed her finger in the car door. We ran inside, they took us straight back, got my daughter an ice bag, gave my dog his shots (so we wouldn't have to reschedule our appointment), and asked if there was anything else they could do for my daughter. ALL OF THAT AND IN THE CAR WITHIN 20 MINUTES!! Best experience ever! I wish they were family care physicians!

Took my Puppy here for a health check to insure my little girl was super healthy. I paid $67 for a vet to just pet my puppy. Didn't care to check her ears, her eyes. (We are just assuming she is good) All this vet did was tell us things we already knew about dogs - Feeding, change of environment & side effects, etc. (Didn't make an appointment for a basic one on one education class, not my first time having a dog) I expressed my concerns about my English bulldog with the vet and she would brush me off. I asked if she is well experienced with the breed and her response was " I graduated at Mississippi state our mascot was an English Bulldog".....The vet herself was a joke. My baby is still beyond congested. I know how my puppy sounds on a regular basis and she doesn't sound like her normal self.Yes, the breed comes with breathing issue so it can come off as normal,this is not the case here but she sure didn't care!! My baby was thirsty - DEHYDRATED. I asked for water & was brushed off again but had the NERVE to say " we will schedule your next appointment for her shots"..clearly this place is a comedy show in itself. I WILL NEVER BRING MY BABY GIRL HERE EVER AGAIN!!

I have, on my last two visits, waited SUBSTANTIALLY LONGER THAN AN HOUR just to be brought into the back waiting room. I have decided that I will give them one more try and if the wait time is that long again, I will look for a new vet. I believe it is completely disrespectful to so totally disregard the value of my time. Either they are overscheduling or they have no idea how to adequately manage their daily load.

I can't believe a reputable hospital like this would have a person this rude answering the phone. I consider this hospital a 3.5 star and my vet, Dr. Meegan Weiler is a 5-star doctor. She is simply the best. I am a frequent flyer at this hospital, given that I have five dogs, I spend thousands of dollars yearly treating my dogs here. I have been going there for 3 years now. I live very close to Severn River Animal Hospital in Severna Park where Dr. Rine used to be our vet for years before she moved to Rocky Gorge. We love Rocky Gorge! RGAH has taken phenomenal care of our 5 dogs since the 1980's. Our pets have always been treated with expert veterinary care, kindness, and compassion. It's been a pleasure to watch the hospital evolve into a fully modernized, state-of-the-art, open 24x7 beautiful facility. Would never take my pets anywhere else.

Rocky Gorge has been our vet for over 25 years. I love the vets, particularly Dr. Morris, Wolchinsky and Farnan. They have cared for our many dogs and cats. They've spent a large amount of effort to improve the practice through the years and it shows. Their online services (appointments, medicines) are first rate and they are working on improving the boarding facility. Our beloved Berner recently had aggressive lymphoma and they are extremely caring during that very difficult process. I can't say enough about their professionalism and caring.

I have been taking my cats to Rocky Gorge for 20 years now. I would not take them anywhere else. By far, this is the best Animal Hospital in the area. The vets are kind, caring, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. The practice is run by Dr. Steven Wolchinsky. He knows how important your pets are to you, and cares for them like they are his own. He treats you like family. He is, without a doubt, the best vet I have ever used. I highly recommend this establishment.

Rocky Gorge has been fantastic for our dog! Everyone who works there is super friendly and clearly loves the animals. When we had a concern in the middle of the night, we were able to call and talk to someone and determine over the phone that it wasn't an emergency and could wait until the morning. Their prices are very reasonable: their pharmacy prices are similar to the best you'll find online. And our dog loves going to the doggy day care as well.

The only issues you encounter at Rocky Gorge are potential long wait times even if you have an appointment & the exorbitant cost of their vet services. If you don't mind long waits & high prices, the personnel here are top notch.

Rocky Gorge was my dog's vet since I moved to the Laurel area. They have been wonderful to my dog, Magic, through out the years. He was a very elderly dog and the vets at the clinic worked with me to manage his pain and maintain his quality of life. They did not push any pricey procedures, they respected my decisions to not aggressively treat his bladder tumor. When I made the call to have him put down, everyone was terrific. The person who answered the phone to make the appt, and the clinic staff when I walked in with my 16.5 year old lab mix could not have been any kinder and gentle to me and my dog that difficult day. I also used their boarding facilities. They were terrific. They always called Magic by his name when they took into the kennel. They were very careful with him due to his advance age. The entire kennel staff loved him and treated him like their own dog.

No Stars why because i took my dog there he is a 3 pound yorkie and i asked for a nail trim at the resort and the tall girl with horrible smell of cigarettes my god i could say it was a walking ash tray well she took my dog away and as i waited i heard my dog scream for help i had to go and see and found my dog bleeding from all paws and then she demanded rudely to pay $25 for the service i walked out and had to go to a ER place to have him treated it would not stop bleeding im so upset and terrified to come back she was really unprofessional and mean.

Services are poor, not all the Vets are friendly with the pets, you can tell when you are in the room with them, I have tried to schedule twice and everything ending without any success or solution, I enrolled my dog in a wellness plan which is BS excuse my words, you just wasting your money, I will say just pay whatever you gotta pay don’t take any wellness plan it’s just doesn’t worth it and save your money or look for another veterinary.
