I have been going to Pikesville Animal Hospital for about 5 years and I can honestly say I trust them COMPLETELY! EVERY staff member is extremely compassionate and knowledgeable. The doctors are dedicated beyond anything I've ever seen. I am always able to get an appointment quickly and I never specify a doctor because I consider them all to be TOP NOTCH! I am so thankful to have these fine doctors so close to my home-it certainly puts my mind at ease. If you haven't taken your pet there yet, you really should. And for the one reviewer who accused them of writing their own reviews-you need to get a life and lose the nasty attitude! People like you aren't happy unless you aren't happy!

My rescue cocker, Emily, is very temperamental! We visit Dori, every six weeks for grooming services. I don't know how she does it, but she manages to calm her down long enough to give her an amazing cut every time! Emily recently had a health scare, so I had the vets take look at her during her grooming appointment. They were very insightful and affordable; so much so, I will be using them for all her future veterinary care.

I had the best Vet experience ever. Every experience from the website through the payment was quick, easy, professional. The receptionist,Dr. Hinman, the nurse, the check out person all listened to my concerns and addressed them directly and efficiently. I love the way the business is run, my pet received excellent care that did not break the bank. We both left in better shape than when we arrived. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone. And, FYI, I am a physician, retired from private practice, and I believe I know a good medical practice when I see one.

I have no idea where to start. Well let's start from the very Beginning.. I am a Combat Veteran of USMC Operation iraqi Freedom and also Endurance Freedom I have A Therapy/service dog. My dog was attacked on her own front porch around 1a.m this morning on 9/09/2016 she had her eye lid almost ripped off by some dog on the next street that came onto my porch.. So i called around to 24 hour vet offices and they wanted basically my Kidney and my car note. I waited until early this a.m and called Dr Zumpano and spoke with his staff.. The nicest and sweetest staff i have ever had the privilege of meeting.. I explained that i am in no way shape or form Rich and didnt have alot of money to get her help.. But she is my therapy/service dog. And she has never let me suffer so i couldn't let her.. Dr. Zumpano worked with me when no one else would.. He listened to me he understood where i was coming from. And how seen how much she means to me. And his actions almost well cant say almost it did make me Tear up a bit. But almost made me cry not out of being hurt. But being relieved that someone out their is understanding and respectful and kind and honest and truly has a heart of GOLD.. The weight of stress was lifted when he and i talked about helping her.. The surgery was done.. and it's Amazing Couldnt even tell her eyelid was ripped off at all.. I would definitely recommend this place and his service's to ANYONE who love's their animal's. Many places will bleed you dry without a smile.. This establishment here will not do that.. Instead they will treat you with the utmost respect and honesty... I give this place 10 star's if i could. So 5 out of 5 will have to do then.. Bravoooooo to the staff the doctor's and all envolved... Thank you Dr. Zumpano and staff.. Shuatize and i thank you.. Will definitely be returning that's is a promise

This dog and cat owner to more than 8 has spent tens of thousands (not a typo) between emergency rooms and local vets. Dr. Zumpano (hereforto referred to as "Dr. Z") is so highly educated and skilled that he puts specialty vets to shame. I just lucked out when I got his name from a friend. My beloved Peetie was front declawed ... I am fully ashamed now...... A vet with 30+ years performed it 5 yrs ago,. but did not do the declawing the correct way resulting in regrowth of these nail cells causing absess,.pain,. swelling bleeding. DR. Z is not just a vet. He is a skilled micro surgeon. HIS FACILITY? I would have liposuction there if he offered it. His dental practice is more sophisticated than my own dentist. So back to my beloved Peety. He sedated him and went one-by-one.. like searching for a grain of sand, he removed every spec of nail cell left over by the previous vet!! Peety came home and recooped for a few days and he is A BRAND NEW BOY.. He used to sleep up high on my armoire...Now? He is on my lap.. kneeding me with his new Dr. Z designer toes!! How much do I love this vet? When someone makes your life more secure by taking such exceptional care of the ones you love.. The value is immeasurable. He just cleaned my dog Dingos teeth yesterday,. and he was groomed and deshedded,. I was in tears when I saw him.. The staff literally adopts your pet..... when you see a tech kiss your dog on the mouth? THATS a keeper!! Do not hesitate on this place.

They are prompt and courteous and understand that my dogs are members of my family. They are sympathetic and very concerned about making my dogs feel safe. They don't try to up charge or do unnecessary tests. They get to the point and I always have a clear understanding of treatment. I have to drive a long way to get there but trust me, they are worth it!

My catahoula is very anxious and nervous. Dr. Covert was amazing with her. She went slow and talked to her. By Raven's second visit, Dr. Covert was able to pet her. Nobody can ever pet raven! I highly recommend going the here. The staff is amazing and they really care about your pet. They definitely put pets over profit.

After researching Laparoscopic Spay options near Baltimore, I decided on Pikesville Animal Hospital. From the first interaction the staff was super friendly and helpful. I was able to schedule the spay a few weeks out and they made me feel fully prepared to bring in my six-month-old Aussiedoodle, Penny, and were great about communicating with me and my current vet. We got to meet Dr. Covert who was performing the spay for an exam in the morning, and the procedure was done in a few hours and I was able to pick her up the same afternoon. I could tell everyone there was loving on her and she seemed very comfortable. They've called to check up on her recovery, which is going well. I've never been put on hold and when I called to ask a question they remembered her right away. The price was cheaper than the traditional more invasive spay at my normal vet. Highly recommend!

Pikesville Animal Hospital offers the most reasonably priced laparoscopic procedure I could find when I decided on a preventive gastropexy for my German Shepherd boy along with being neutered. Dr. Zumpano, who performed the procedure is extremely kind, caring and understanding and Dr. Covert was very helpful and answered my emailed questions promptly and thoroughly. The staff all took excellent care of my precious boy. The surgery went well but my boy was a very difficult patient who was hyperactive and incessantly tried to lick his incisions after surgery and ended up needing additional surgery as well as several rechecks. They did not charge me for all the extra work they had to do to ensure a proper recovery. I felt that all the Pikesville Animal Hospital doctors and staff genuinely cared about my pet’s wellbeing, as well as being very courteous and efficient.

The Docs are wonderful. The staff is always nice and supportive. The shots can be given on a Thursday eve by a tech and no appointment is required. This also saves money. I highly recommend them.

I called Pikesville yesterday evening for an emergency with my cat. They were not available but very supportive and referred us to an ER vet. Long story short, the ER vet failed my cat and I was left with the responsibility of transferring him due to their over site to "somewhere else". I called Pikesville back this morning in a panic and they were rock stars. They were supportive and calming on the phone and told me to come in asap. I brought in my cat, they were ready and waiting for us and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I'm very thankful for them. They saved my boy today.

The staff is always very helpful and friendly. We have taken two very anxious cats to be spayed and neutered and they knew just how to handle them. They always call the next day to check up on their patients and give advice. I will be taking my third cat for spaying soon.

In recently switched bets for my 2 year old male cockapoo. Let me say the service was awesome at the time of our visit and all of my questions were answered during my appt. I didn't have any problems just routine shots. I also appreciate that they offer grooming services which I love because other mega stores that grooming animals, I've always felt as though it was rushed and my poor dog came back with clipper burns and missing patches of hair. I've taken my dog to Pikesville Animal hospital for grooming and I myself can say he looks like a competition ready pooch lol. I would recommend Pikesville Vet Clinic to anyone with a dog.

This is an excellent clinic in every way. The veterinarians are exceptional and the staff are professional, friendly and competent. The clinic is clean, efficiently run and located in a nice area. The prices are also very fair, particularly if you have a puppy or kitten, as you can bring pets in for vaccinations on Thursday evenings (walk in, no appt needed) without having to pay an "exam fee" on top of vaccination costs. Our dog had an ongoing health problem and we were treated with caring and a true desire to help the situation in any way possible. WE LOVE THIS PLACE! UPDATE! We have been going here for 3 years now. Gets better each visit. Love it here.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this vet! I had an 8.5 year old boxer that, sadly, passed away back in March from cancer. I did not got to this vet for that dog, and bounced around quite a bit to find one that I felt truly cared about my Zoey. I never really found one. Fast forward to now, and my wife and I have a 5 month old rescue. I decided to give Pikesville a try since Tru Rescue (please check them out!) highly recommended them. I have been beyond impressed in how they talk the talk and walk the walk with compassion and reasonable prices. I drive from Essex because it is worth the drive. Dr G performed Stella's laparoscopic spaying yesterday and called today to check on her. Not to mention that Stella acts as if there was no procedure yesterday. Such a great job! Please give this vet a try. I was very negative toward vets in the past, but this one really changed my mindset.

Dr. Zumpano has been the vet for our three cats for four years. My husband and I have one disabled cat and another who has required a lot of tests, and we have always been treated well by the very friendly staff. I adopted a cat from Humane Society and only had him for 2 years when he suddenly started feeling ill. Turns out he had a cancerous tumor. I immediately took him to a vet on liberty rd that told me my cat will die within 24hrs & nothing they can do then sent me on my way.( while I was crying btw) So I called Pikesville animal hospital and they were able to see my cat within 2 hours and they delivered the same terrible news. However, the vet was so kind, personable and him along with the staff made me feel I wasn't alone. The amount of compassion and care they gave made me really at ease & helped me cope with having to say goodbye to my little buddy. I received amazing service. I cried and dropped my wet tissue all over by mistake when checking out and the lady at the front desk didn't mind or at least if she did she definitely put on a smile & let me know it was ok . Thanks !!

I was new to area and needed to find a new vet. Luckily, I found Pikesville AH. Absolutely wonderful. Two weeks after my 14 year old mini doxen first visit, she blew a disc in her back. They made the time to see her quickly and gave me several options for treatment. I chose conservative treatment and high hopes. She may walk a little sideways which I call her bent chassis but she is pain free and well loved again. Highly recommend them!

I brought my pup, Bella, in for a spay. This was our first time at Pikesville Animal Hospital as my primary vet doesn't offer laparoscopic spay. The staff checked us in quick and immediately took us back for a thorough exam and description of the spay that they offer. At lunchtime the vet called and informed me that my pup was a rockstar during the procedure and would be able to be picked up after work. They even called the next day to check in and have done a few times post-op. When Bella's behavior started to change I called the vet that did the procedure and they asked me to bring her in to make sure she was okay and they reassured me that she is taking her good ole time to heal and that her world and hormones are changing so nothing was to be worried about. Thank you PAH for taking such good care of us! You guys are great! I will recommend PAH to friends and family looking for pet care!

We recently moved to the area and needed a vet for our Labrador for routine care. We made a late day appointment and although we arrived with only 5 minutes to spare, the staff got us started without delay. The nurse was great and our dog warmed to her immediately. We were given plenty of information and pricing in a clear manner with no "sales" pushiness. The vet conducted a thorough exam and the price was very reasonable. Overall, one of the best vet experiences we have ever had.

These people are so rude, it's hard to believe they're vets. When we were new clients, my dog had an emergency. It was a Friday afternoon. They said they couldn't see him and told me to go to the emergency room. When I called to tell them I'm not using them anymore, they were snappy, didn't care why, and then hung up on me.
