I have to say that after using several vets in the Perry Hall area, Perry Hall Animal Hospital is by far the most caring and attentive. We had our shih-poo put down after battling cancer, and the care given to him and to our family during this process was truly a blessed one. Dr. Klimovitz felt like "family" during the procedure as she was just as saddened as we were. She hadn't even known our dog very long but was always so attentive and was very responsive to all of my emails and texts as we tried to keep him comfortable as long as possible. I knew I wasn't doing this alone. I will forever be thankful. Also, her staff is friendly and efficient, and her facility is very clean.

I cannot begin to tell you what a fantastic and caring vet Dr. Klimovitz is. I followed her from her last office when she started her own practice at Perry Hall Animal Hospital. It's further from my home, but she is worth the drive. I can say, without reservation, that she is by far the best vet I have ever known. She is the reason both of my Miniature Dachshunds, Cinnamon & Spice (The Wienerdogs) are still with me. She has gone above, and beyond, what any other vet has ever done to help us. She is amazing with the animals. I've never seen a vet who cares so much for each and every animal that she comes in contact with. She literally gets down on the floor with my Wienerdogs and gives them love and affection. They love her! In addition to Dr. Klimovitz, is her staff. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them either. They couldn't be more professional or kind. Michele, Dr. Baer & Dr. Brazil are wonderful! Everyone on her staff is awesome, and they've always treated my Wienerdogs like a prince & princess. And, I would be remiss if I didn't mention Mugsy Badcat... who I call Thumbs. Awesome crew! Dr.Baer is one of the most compassionate vets I've ever encountered. Her ability to do an extensive exam while making my pup feel as though he was just getting snuggles and belly rubs was incredible! The techs are on their A game - friendly, knowledgeable with stellar communication skills. When my beloved cat was sick & hurting the wonderful people at Perry Hall Animal Hospital did not only deliver quality, compassionate care, but they were comforting to me when I was scared about my precious boy's fate. They also stayed way past closing time to help us. Dr. Klimovitz was so kind and professional, she texted me daily after we got home to check on my cat's progress and was quick to answer any questions and concerns I had. We have entrusted PHAH with three of our dogs in the past several years. We thought they were competent, caring and in the best interest of our pets, not just "in business". However, we have changed our opinion. And this is why. We were told that our Keeshond had cancer on his leg and needed immediate surgery. We listened to them. A very intensive surgery was done, meaning a large area of his rear leg was "removed" in the hopes of catching any spread of the cancer. It was very traumatic for both our dog and us. He needed several medications (very costly, besides the expense of the surgery, which if warranted is not a problem for our beloved pet), frequent revisits to change his bandage by a technician not a doctor, special diet, etc. In fact, we never saw a doctor for his visits after his surgery. Also, it was a tech who came out to me in the waiting room to let me know "good news! Starboard didn't have cancer anyway!" I was disturbed to say the least that we underwent the surgery for naught. The tech replied: aren't you happy ? Of course, how could I be happy that he underwent an unnecessary surgery, which at the time I didn't know would result in his death even befor the surgical wound had healed?!? And to think, I wasn't even taken back into a private room and told by a doctor! I have never even been contacted to see how he is (was) progressing. So, to say the least, I would never again trust any of my pets to PHAH. If I could have, I wouldn't even give them one star. I hope this review can help other pet owners to be wary of this office. Thank you.

I question any vet that recommends dry food in any capacity, especially for a cat, and who doesn't explain how some vaccines aren't required by law and pose risks to your pet. For instance, my dog got the kennel cough vaccine (which you don't need unless you board them) and I come to find out that, not only are they debatably effective, but your dog can get kennel cough from them. Mine did, and was a miserable little guy for days. The three star rating is because, unfortunately, this seems to be par for the course with vets around the area and, at least, in technical respects, people seemed competent and weren't blocking me from accompanying my pet during procedures, even if some techs seemed less then thrilled. I also got a bit tired of 'blank vet face' when I was saying something they disagreed with but weren't going to say anything. Something that became clear with one of the vets where they had clearly forgotten how I mentioned how horrible dry food was in conversation, being upset at all it had done to my pet (diabetes, frequent urinary infections) and she mentioned how dry food was 'better for their teeth'. Not only do I go to a vet for their honest opinion but, yeah, see above. It's best to always remember that silence doesn't mean agreement.

Our three-year-old German Shepherd, Dribble, has been attended to by the wonderful staff at Perry Hall Animal Hospital since puppyhood. He is a very shy dog and tends to take a relatively long time to warm up to people. Knowing this, Dr. Klimovitz was very careful to let Dribble become accustomed to her, the staff, and the facility on his own timetable. We appreciate the reminders for shots and other "maintenance" sent out on appropriate schedules. We have been able to make appointments when needed in a timely manner. Dribble's neutering surgery went very well with a very quick and complications-free recovery. We really appreciate having the option of contacting Dr. Klimovitz via email. She responds within 24 hours and follows up with requested information. Dribble is our fourth dog so we are very familiar with veterinary services in the Perry Hall area. We are extremely satisfied with the level of care provided by Dr. Klimovitz and the staff at PHAH. We have recommended and plan to continue to recommend PHAH to friends and family. If you are looking for a caring, competent, personable veterinarian, Dr. Klimovitz is the one you want.

I no longer recommend this veterinarian. They no longer give the care they once did. I would not recommend this practice. I brought my dog to them last December for a "very thorough" and expensive Senior Exam and then a follow up for illness. Both times they missed his pancreatic tumor and by February he was gone. After being a client for over 5 years I expected better care.

If you love spending over 200 for a "normal" check up this is the place to go. They run tests without telling you and hand you the bill. My dog went to a back room for vaccines and they did an ear check without asking me first. I was expecting 45 for the check up and 29 for the vaccine. I should have stopped going here when I have paid over 1500 in bills for my cats throwing up problem and he is still throwing up. The only redeeming quality is there is one nice girl at the front desk.

Take your pet to PHAH and your pet and you are in good hands. The staff is friendly and patient. The veterinary care is superb. PHAH will always have a special place in my heart because they saved my cat's life. Long story short, my cat was ill; the vet I was going to at the time was unable to see her immediately; I called PHAH and they said bring her in. I chose PHAH on a whim, but it was the best and luckiest decision I ever made. My cat recovered, and she's sitting here with me, even as I type, purring away. We now go to PHAH for all our veterinary needs.

I've brought both of my cats to Dr. Hicks and have received exceptional care. She is thorough and gentle with both of my animals and always follows up/answers all questions. This is a great local vet. Any time my dog has a serious issue and I call trying to get a same day appointment, I can tell that they're genuinely trying everything they can to work me into the schedule - and I'd say 99% of the time (like today) they make it work. That's how they first got my business when I had a near-emergency and the previous office we used didn't seem to care about seeing my dog as soon as possible. The positive interactions and extra effort to help has kept me coming back. Very friendly staff with doctors that are thorough and don't seem to try to sell you on treatment plans you don't need.

We called in today around 7am if we can just walk in for emergency and they scheduled us for 10am immediately. I seriously love the staffs at Perry Hall, they make you feel welcome every time you walk in. Dr. Asleigh is such a warm person, she handled our sick Crypto very well. We are sticking to this place from now on. Nobody recommended Perry Hall to us but we're so glad we found them just the right time!

The staff at this clinic is outstanding! I recently brought my cat in for a check up and rabies vaccine. The tech that helped me was very well educated on vaccines and my concerns with the use of adjuvanted vaccines. This clinic only uses the non-adjuvanted PureVax rabies for cats which is incredible! Most vets aren’t concerned with the risk of sarcomas caused by injections but the staff here understands the danger and refuses to put their feline patients at higher risk by only offering PureVax. Dr. Miller was exceptional with my cat and gave me honest and educated advice on all of my questions. I am so grateful to have found a veterinary practice that has a well educated and kind staff. Highly recommend this clinic!!

Our Burmese, Mr. Rogers, an undefeated Grand Champion, in every competition Best in Show, recently died at sixteen years and four months, no fault of PH Animal Hospital. Throughout his years under Dr. Klimovitz, he felt special and king of the cat mountain. Then again, there are our other cats treated there, and each was shown the same high regard and love as Mr. Rogers. Most recently our two youthful Burmese cats are unafraid of getting into the car and going to see Dr. Klimovitz and her staff. Every vet office should be so warm, knowledgeable and, ultimately, about the pet's needs. I took my 11 year old dog for a full physical and second opinion to Perry Hall Animal Hospital see Dr. Klimovitz after looking at reviews online and hearing about how great she is through a friend. From the moment we walked in, the staff was courteous and welcoming and treated my dog like the most important thing in the world. In my dog's 11 years, we have seen a number of vets and vet specialists (cardiology, ER, surgery, oncology) but Dr. Klimovitz was second to none. Right away, she made my nervous dog right at ease by getting down on her level and playing with her. She is so thorough, knowledgeable and prepared (she read through countless pages of records from my dog's other providers prior to us getting there). She was able to speak to me in a language I could understand, explaining the diagnosis and treatment options for my old girl. She went above and beyond what any other provider has done for my dog (by coming up with a treatment plan to extend my dog's life and maintain her quality, rather than just referring us to another specialist like the others had done) and I am forever grateful. I will continue to make the 1 hour drive because I feel like no one will take care of my dog like she will. I feel very fortunate to have found Perry Hall Animal Hospital and will be sending my friends and family there, as well!

My husband took our puppy in first and saw Dr. Miller. Hubby said he told them to give a DHPP 5 way shot, but when I saw the receipt, they also gave him Strongid dewormer. This was all done behind closed doors and without authority. I took the puppy in the 2nd time for the final DHPP 5 way shot and the Vet tech came out and wanted to take him in the back and give him shot and said she'd bring him back to the waiting room. What?? No vet to give the shot but instead a tech gives the shot and I'm paying top dollar? Certainly not right. I have never had a vet that did not see the dog each and every time and gave any requested shots. The final straw was meds that I ordered online and PHAH only authorized 1 dose of each - I guess they wanted me to bring him in for another charge. This was only heartworm and flea/tick meds. Well, seeing another vet next week and hope my experience is much better

My 2 dogs (Bella 8.5 pit mix & Dylan 6.5 lab whippet mix) have been going here their entire lives. They see Dr K & absolutely love her as do my husband & I. The entire staff is friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. If I have a last minute issue they fit the pup in. If I have a question I call & get an answer. I can send Dr K an email personally & she answers it herself, as soon as possible (I've never waited even 24hrs) she explains everything clearly & never makes me feel like I'm a bother or overreacting. Our 8.5 year old pit Bella was diagnosed with cancer. I cant thank Dr K enough for how amazing she & the staff have been. From tests to meds to just calming me down EVERY ONE has been there for us. I feel like they treat my pets as if they were their own. Because our pets can't talk it means everything to have people you can go to & trust to do the right thing & help you help your fur babies. These are those people :-)

I have been taking my rescued Boxer mutt Hailleigh to PHAH for a little over a year now. We have had an absolutely amazing experience since day one. When we first took our girl in we did not know much about her since she was a rescue. Dr. Baer took her time in doing a thorough exam to make sure everything was ok and to check for any potential health issues of which we should be aware. She made both Hailleigh and us feel relaxed and comfortable. She gave us much appreciated advice given that we were new pet owners. Within the first few months we had our girl she had a few skin issues including a reaction to a bug bite and a growth on her paw. Dr. Baer and the vet techs took care of us quickly and compassionately on each visit. They provided us recommendations and options for treatment and were willing to take time to listen to our concerns. Overall it has been a great experience and I would recommend PHAH to anyone!

I was first referred to PHAH by the Rescue that I volunteer with. I had my first experience with Dr. K when I took my foster dog to her. After receiving excellent care and treatment for my foster, I quickly switched my resident dog to their care as well. I recently took him in and was not disappointed with the loving nature shown by the staff. They are also extremely patient and thorough. I will be switching the care of my cats to the staff at PHAH as well. I would highly recommend Perry Hall Animal Hospital to anyone looking for vet care.

I hate to leave such a poor review, but this office has essentially made a mistake in every single point of care with our rescue dog. We were instructed to collect a urine sample without being given any instruction or the materials needed. We were given unclear instructions on when to start heartworm medications. We were asked after the fact if our dog had been taking antibiotics that she was never prescribed. We were charged for a nail clipping that was never performed. Adding insult to injury, we were nickel and dimed for all of this along the way. If you value clear communication or even just minimal amounts of information regarding your animal's care, this is not the vet for you. Unfortunately there seems to be a few holes in their process and the lack of communication and poor guidance / follow -through just ices the cake. I really wanted to like this vet. The office is clean, the folks are nice, but this just isn't the place to go unless you have an animal with no health issues and a very clear history that you have personally witnessed. Rescue friends, please heed my warning, I'm sure there are better services nearby. Edit: Just as a note, I was at the visit to provide a urine sample and get bloodwork done. The tech looked surprised that I was providing a sample in a mason jar that hadn't been kept in a refrigerator. I mentioned we were not given instructions or a kit for this collection so we had to improvise...and certainly were not told the sample needed to be kept cold. I took off work to attend this appointment only to be told the sample would need to be collected over again. After I was told this we just sat in the waiting room wondering if we needed to do anything more since, again, no further instructions were given to us. (Were we good to go? Was there something the Vet was going to comment on? Did we need to wait for something from the lab?) Nothing. After about ten minutes we got up and asked if we were good to go or if we needed to wait for something still. We paid and left. Please feel free to call me or email me if you have any questions, I just don't think your response was accurate.

I called ahead to ask about bringing in my cat whose surgery incision looks infected, and the staff responded very rudely, saying that they don't have any options for me. I am baffled about their flat refusal to help me make an appointment for my pet!

It’s wonderful to have a group of caring people to watch out for our Goldie’s well-being. Recently she had a urinary tract infection unlike the ones she has had in the past. This time she was in pain. We had all been up since 3:00 am, so we were tired and stressed. Ed & I got her to the office fairly early in the morning to start the process of figuring out what was wrong and what to do. Goldie is very rambunctious in the office. She wants to say “HI” to all the people. She jumps up and down on “her” bench over and over. This was pretty much how she was for the morning visit. But, in order to be sure of the diagnosis we had to bring Goldie back to the office late in the afternoon for an ultrasound. She was so tired that she walked into the office, as opposed to dragging me in. Then she got on her bench and plopped down and didn’t get back up. She was either too tired to misbehave, or, she had aggravated her arthritis to the point where she was too uncomfortable to misbehave! All this on top of her UTI. I felt so bad that she felt so bad! Andy came out to get her for her test and Goldie did not get up to greet him. This is totally out of the ordinary. She weighs 65 pounds, and I hate to ask anyone to pick her up and carry her, and luckily, I did not have to. Andy immediately noticed the situation and said, “I’ll just carry her.” I was so grateful he made things easier on her. Each time we visit someone does a kind thing! Tara Klimovitz and her staff do things that go above and beyond caring for our dog. During stressful circumstances they go out of their way to consider how the dog’s people are doing too. They always do things to help us.

PERRY HALL ANIMAL HOSPITAL SAVED MY DOG'S LIFE!! Sophie, my beagle/bulldog mix, was diagnosed at another animal hospital with a genetic kidney disease that gave her only a month or two to live - no guidance, no treatment, no solution. I was absolutely devastated. A friend referred me to Dr. Klimovitz for a 2nd opinion and I couldn't believe what a different experience it was! Dr. Klimovitz was on the floor with Sophie the whole time and jumped right into action. Within a few days she had an ultrasound that determined it wasn't the genetic kidney disease, but a uterine mass that was crowding her insides and backing up her kidneys. She had emergency surgery to remove the mass, along with her left kidney and part of her bladder. It was an extensive surgery, but with the help of Dr. Arthur at Mobile Veterinary Surgery and Animal Emergency Hospital, Sophie is already feeling and acting more like her old self again! With how quickly Sophie was declining, I'm sure that she would have only had a few pained and uncomfortable days left, but PHAH gave my baby her life back! She will still need care and treatment, at least in the near future, but she is now living a life that is a 180 degree difference than just over a week ago! Dr. Klimovitz and her staff are AMAZING! They treated Sophie (and every pet I’ve seen come in) as if she was their own. They know all of the pets by name (and their humans) and they all rallied to make sure that everything possible was being done to get Sophie well again! Dr. Klimovitz kept me informed every step of the way and is always available for questions. I can’t imagine taking my dogs anywhere else - I’m so extremely grateful for PHAH!

Several years ago our dog needed a vet immediately and our regular vet would not see us without an appointment, emergency or not. In an effort to do all we could to help him we searched for a vet that could see us. PHAH took us immediately, with no appointment and not knowing us and did what they could. However, it was too late and despite the fact that they did all they could we lost our beloved pet. Now we take our furry family to PHAH all the time because we know the care and compassion they receive there. We are so happy to have found PHAH and highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best of care for their pets.

I used to think this vet was a 5 star vet. However do to a recent visit experience if I was able to give it 0 stars I would have. I took my cat there last week, paid almost $300 for test. I've requested a call back three times. When I called today the receptionist was rude and told me that the vet had called me back. There are no missed calls on my phone and no way that anyone did call and leave a message. I was told that my cat has a UTI and I would like to get him the medication he deserves, however I'm not getting any response from the vet or anyone. The vet recommended MORE expensive test however my cat is showing no symptoms that this next test would rule out. Is it to much to ask that when you spend almost $300, you can get a call back??

This is one of the best veterinary hospitals in the area and I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for expert, attentive and compassionate care for your pet. Dr. Klimovitz is fabulous - she is the most wonderful combination of being extremely knowledgeable, an expert communicator, and warm and compassionate at the same time. Exactly what you want in a veterinarian that cares for your precious companions. Dr. K has been a super supportive guide through my older schnauzer's recent diagnosis of diabetes. He was diagnosed and initially treated at another hospital, which provided me with almost zero support and information about managing this very complicated and overwhelming disease, made even more precarious by my dog's age. In a single 20 minute phone call, Dr K explained things in such a thorough and comforting way that she allayed all my fears and also made me feel confident that I could learn to manage my dog's condition. She coached me through phone calls and texts throughout the entirety of one weekend, giving up plenty of her precious and limited personal time, to ensure that I felt comfortable administering insulin, checking blood glucose levels at home, and administering additional medications for my dog's concurrent diagnoses of pancreatitis and a UTI. After that generous extension of her time and expertise I knew that I wanted to transfer the care of ALL 3 of my dogs to PHAH, even though it is nearly an hour drive for us (we live in Carroll County.) I am comfortable now that the health of all my dogs is in the very best hands. The entire staff is very responsive, professional, warm, friendly and knowledgeable.

A standard vet. Though standard has come to mean 'not good enough' for me. This vet, I've come to understand, was willing to do the equivalent of giving my dog roofies (so he couldn't move but he was still aware) and I was sent a 'reminder' to give my dog the kennel cough vaccine without being properly informed that it is A. Optional unless you board B. Often unaffective and C. Can actually get your dog sick with kennel cough. Guess what happened. My dog got kennel cough and we don't board so we basically got taken advantage of for our ignorance. So, yeah. Not impressed. Also, at least the last time we were there, there were ads for all kinds of meds. Which kinda goes to show where their priorities are.

Before Perry Hall we had absolutely no trouble with getting our dogs nails clipped. When we decided to move our dogs to this vet, we thought it was interesting that they didn’t do any nail clipping or shots in front of us, instead they take the dogs into the back... that was our first red flag. We didn’t think much about it until after each visit to the vet, they would tell us our dog would misbehave during her shots and nail clippings. At first they didn’t say anything at all. But with time it seemed to change, from them telling us that she wiggled, to her biting, then they proceeded to tell us she needed a muzzle. We were understandably upset but understood that the vets needed to stay safe too. But it only got worse from there, even after the muzzle they told us she needed a “Doggy downer”. We were hesitant at first but agreed after they told us that she scratched the technician. At this point our dog was on medication and had a muzzle but afterwards they still told us that she couldn’t come to the vet at all unless we gave her a Doggy Downer each time we came. This was the straw that broke the camels back for us. Our dog is 7 pounds. She had never made trouble before this Veterinary Clinic, and we had never had to put her on any medication before this. We always had seen her get her nails cut prior to this Vet, and she made absolutely no trouble. We weren’t going to make our dog take medication each time we had to see the vet for a checkup or some shots. Since then, our dog has still had issues getting her nails clipped, she’s terrified when we go to any vet, or sees any nail clippers, even if we try it at home. It’s a constant struggle to bring her to the new vet but she is slowly getting back to her normal self. I’m not sure what Perry Hall did when they took her in the back each time to get her nails cut, but i can assume it wasn’t anything positive. please don’t take your pets here. i am heartbroken with what happened to my dog.

We have been taking our dog, Lily, to Perry Hall Animal Hospital for over a year now and each time they continue to exceed all expectations. Back when we were looking for a vet to take our dog, reviews were the sole determinant so I would like to share my honest review of the place we entrusted with the care of our furry loved one. First and foremost, to say that the entire staff has a genuine care and concern for animals is simply an understatement. Each and every member of the staff, from the receptionists all the way to Dr. K, go above and beyond the call of duty and truly treat the animals as if they were their own. They are not there to get you in and get you out as quickly as possible so that they can take the next patient. Our visits usually begin with Jayme, the Vet Tech, playing around on the floor with Lily just to make her more comfortable all while answering any questions or addressing any concerns we may have. Then, Dr. K will come in and play some more and this visit may only be for a single vaccine. I know our dog thinks these visits are more like play dates. They have the ability to make you feel as if you are the only appointment that day and for that reason, I often say that the business aspect takes a backseat to the care of your pet. You will absolutely not be pressured into purchasing erroneous medications or anything along those lines, which I understand is a concern with some vets. Oh, I can’t forget to mention the office itself, which is always exceptionally clean. It has an incredibly home-like atmosphere that is certainly not typical of a doctor’s office. The bottom line is that we would highly recommend Perry Hall Animal Hospital to anyone who wants the absolute best care for their pet from the friendliest, most passionate staff at an affordable price.

My little dog is terrified of the vet so I left my vet of over 25 years and came here. I am so happy I did. As a team PHAH have brain stormed strategies to help calm her. I have randomly dropped in with her to have mini play dates with the staff or just to casually wander through. (always calling a few minutes ahead to be sure timing is good) Physical exams are more like cuddle sessions. Afterward Dr. Baer always gives me a thorough review of her findings and recommendations and a summary is sent to my phone via their app. I couldn't be happier.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Everyone was so kind and helpful and thoughtful, and they had our cats name written on a welcome board when we arrived! Our cat was a stray that we brought in and was hesitant to be seen but they handled her so gracefully and did an amazing job. Very courteous, wonderful people. Big plus that they show you the cost of care before it is performed, and have a payment plan if you can't pay in full or aren't eligible for a credit card. I love this place.

Dr. Klimovitz was our "2nd opinion" after our previous vet couldn't figure out what was wrong with our dog Yoshi, in late 2011, which happened to be not long after she took over Perry Hall Animal Hospital. I'm pleased to say that after numerous tests and multiple after-hours phone calls, Dr. Klimovitz gave us a diagnosis and treatment plan that have worked to make Yoshi a much happier pup. In December 2012, we moved about an hour away and began the process of switching to a local vet. We were sorely disappointed in our options. When we compared our new vet to Dr. K, they came up short in every category except location! We made the decision to keep Yoshi under the primary care of Dr. Klimovitz because we are so pleased with the care that Yoshi gets whenever something is amiss. Sarah (at the front desk) knows us by name (which speaks to how often we make the trek up there - haha) and every time I call for a medication refill or appointment she is cheerful and eager to help. When we lived in the area, their late-evening hours were a lifesaver when we had to work late but needed an appointment or medication refill. Now that we live farther away, their Saturday morning hours are incredibly convenient when we can't make it to White Marsh during the week. I would recommend Perry Hall Animal Hospital to all of my friends with pets (and have done so). [also posted on Yelp]

Compassionate, caring, tenderhearted, but perhaps the only word to truly describe the practice is loving! From the monment you enter with your pet until you leave the care shows. Dr. Tara Klimovitz and her staff truly have their clients & the more important pets in there hearts. When they come into the examine room there seems to be an immediate connection with your pet. If the pet is on the floor then that is where they come & sit. This makes an immediate connection with your animal. Dr, Tara Klimovitz is the best vet I have ever had a pleasure to treat my pets in all my years. The time she spent talking to me about my pet was something I wish I could get from my own doctor. The entire staff at PHAH is so loving toward our kitty. It's clear that they give their best care. We have a cat who had BAD allergies and her skin became raw and lost fur all around her neck.. we were terrified for her health, but Dr. Hicks was amazing with explaining the allergic reaction and the treatment that ensued. Everyone who came in contact with us was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Now our kitty is almost completely healed, and we couldn't be happier. You can't go wrong at this place. I cant say enough good things about this place. Ive had a husky since she was 7weeks old and started taking her here from the start. Last december my baby had a chicken bone that got lodged in her and caused serious ploblems. The bone had come from the wet food I fed her from a can. I called perry hall animal hospital and they talked me through everything. Save my girls life. They truly care which is a big thing for me. Trust them completely. If they say a test needs to be done i trust that it does and its not just for the money.

I've been going to PHAH for over six years, since moving to MD from PA. I loved the first Vet I had there, Amy Brasil, and was so sad to see her leave, but have since been pleasantly impressed with Dr. Ashleigh Baer for several years now. The past 2 years have been exceptionally tough, as I inherited my parents pets, then proceeded to lose them both to disease, as well as one of my own. Dr. Baer went to great measures to try to save them, and the PHAH staff were extremely compassionate and supportive. My only complaint would be the clinic's popularity, which makes it tough to get appointments quickly, but they've been wonderful at making accommodations for serious situations.

I have a 3 yr old Pug with severe allergies. I was going to another vet but I slowly came to notice the vet was a snooty know it all, as in " I have a degree in veterinary medicine so what I say goes." This didn't sit well with me because I am one to research everything and ask questions, which as a client I feel I have the right to do. So I found Dr. K while surfing the web searching for vets. Let me just say I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The office is clean, the rooms are nice and inviting, with kind of a "homey" feel. Even though for my first visit I was double booked in (it was kind of an emergency) Dr. K took a good 30-45min to sit with me and talk about my options, I guess she could tell I was really concerned/anxious and wanted to put me at ease. I asked alot of questions because obviously I had not been given alot of information at my old vet. She patiently sat there and answered every question. She made me feel as if I was just talking to a friend about my dog, not an uppity snob. She is very good with my little pug and always snuggles him and plays with him when we have visits. I never have to wait weeks to see her either! The staff there is very warm and friendly and seem to really care about the pets that come in. Bottom line I absolutely LOVE this place and will never go anywhere else!!
