We have been coming here for years and love it. We feel like our critters are really cared about and they really listen to you, especially since you know your babies best. While prices seem to have gone up a little lately, they are always very upfront with costs and offer different options when available. Clean and friendly facility with awesome hours. We've used their pet hotel for one of our cats and we had great experiences with that too. Paradise has really gotten us through some times and I highly recommend them.

Two days ago, I went for a walk, and a sweet little cat adopted me. So I brought them here. I had read a lot of mixed reviews about every other vets and animals hospitals in the Baltimore area, and while some of the bad ones can be chalked up to grumpy people who don't understand their animals, I wanted to make sure my new kitty's first vet experience was the best. I had called numerous other vets, trying to get an appointment to learn if this kitty has been micro-chipped, to get them looked at, and most importantly, the sex! Everywhere else offered me 4-14 days of waiting. Paradise got me in in under 24 hours. From the moment I walked in the door, they were attentive, kind, and most of all had excellent customer service. Isabel at the front desk helped us with our paperwork, and even remember the details of my flustered phone call the day before. The nurse, I think his name was Ryan, had a very soothing style that put my cat at ease. He explained all the ins and outs, and most importantly, asked if I was on a budget, and what tests and initial procedures we wanted to have done. The vet, Dr. B was kind and doted on our skinny cat, and offered excellent care, and customer service. She answered all of my silly first-time-cat-parent questions, and was very patient with me and my cat, and found the best ways to interact with him (snacks!) While they certainly aren't a bargain vet, Paradise Animal Hospital seems to offer the best care, customer service, and efficiency you can dream of with regards to companion animal healthcare.

Everyone is nice and friendly. They take great care of my dog and it is in a very convenient location for us. The facility is clean and well-equipped. I am pleased with how easy and quickly they can see us. There are times when they have been a bit disorganized in record keeping such as the vaccine scheduling but that is sorted out after a few discussions with the doctor and myself.. Overall I am happy to take my dog there.

Behind the 7-11 you'll find plenty of parking, outlined by a fenced-in dog run. The lower lot is for special services (i.e. therapies, emergencies) and the upper lot for regular appointments. The docs are courteous, knowledgeable and, quick to help as are their staff. The facility is clean and welcoming. Outstanding results.

I took my 2 year old cats here for their first visit this past Monday, and I cannot get over what a great experience it was. From the minute we walked in, we got great care and friendly service from everyone encountered. The waiting room was clean and spacious, for the short time we were there. The vet tech/assistant who checked my cats weight before the vet came in was wonderful and gentle, and my usual skittish babies were very relaxed. In fact, I was super impressed with the overall ability of the staff and Dr. Riehl to put my cats at ease. Even when we returned home they were more relaxed than usual, and not traumatized by their first time out of the house AT ALL. Dr. Riehl was kind and very thorough, keeping us informed of what she was doing throughout the entire appointment. Aside from Socks & Mittens being a wee bit chubby, they are perfectly healthy and happy little furballs. for 2 exams, parasite tests/waste disposal, and booster shots, we came out at less than $250, which I think is super reasonable. They're also very close to home. I'm so happy to have found a great local vet practice with great resources, compassionate staff, and awesome facilities.

The staff is very knowledgable, kind, responsive and professional. The doctors consult with one another which is always a plus. They have the latest technology and therapeutics that include a water therapy pool, physical therapy, laser therapy, chiropractic, and acupuncture. I have seen these therapists work miracles! They are serious about what they do and remain up to date with training. The boarding facility is very clean (as is the rest of the hospital). The staff in the boarding facility work hard to make sure your pets stay is comfortable, relaxing and fun.

My pet rat Keylith had a mammary tumor that had grown large enough to need surgery. The staff was super friendly and caring, and took excellent care of my girl. Dr. Urie was a rockstar, making sure we knew exactly what was needed, giving us as many options as she could. The surgery went perfectly and Key is in excellent health. The rest of the staff were so supportive at drop off, pick-up, and the post-op checkup. The procedure even came in priced under the estimate given. She has a great staff, and I can say they have always went the extra mile. I had one dog with severe epilepsy, his name was JD and when everyone else didn't give that dog two months to live, they worked hard and he lived to be 16. Dr. Urie is a great vet for all animals specially for exotics. It is very hard to find a vet that does something besides dogs and cats and she is the one to go to. I have 6 rabbits and volunteer for a guinea pig rescue and have taken many of them to her mostly for spays and neuters with zero problems. I've been bringing my pets here ever since I moved back to the Baltimore area about 3 years ago, and with every visit I like them more and more. My dogs have seen a few different doctors at the office and they've all been excellent. Dr. Hain has been amazing with my very large, strong, and anxious dog nephew--he's usually freaking out at the vet but he likes her so much he sits in her lap and actually lets her give him shots (at previous vet offices he had to be restrained by 6, yes 6, techs to get shots). I recently adopted a new dog and a few nights ago she got in a fight with my old dog over a bone that resulted in a late night visit to the emergency vet. The emergency vet must have sent a record of my visit to Paradise and the next morning Dr. King called me to follow up and make sure my dogs are doing okay, and to make sure I'm okay because she rightly guessed that I was pretty shaken up and upset about the whole incident. I'm really impressed that they care enough to reach out to their clients after a visit to another vet office to make sure everything is alright. I also think their prices are very reasonable! I used to be a vet tech in West Virginia, and usually everything is cheaper in WV, but Paradise's prices are actually the same or better. They've also recommended an excellent dog behaviorist to me, and I've been very pleased with that recommendation.

Everyone I've dealt with from reception, to the techs, to the doctors, to the groomers have all been very loving and caring to all 3 of my cats. The initial consult really shows you that they truly care about the overall health and well being of your fur baby animal friend. There were at least four people on the consult to take notes, provide support, and help as needed. They thoroughly explained Crom's issues so that I understood what we were dealing with and how we can help him heal. Highly recommended!

I've had a good experience every time I've been there but felt like reporting on how great they were today. I took my two dogs, who hate everyone, in for their annual visit. There was a tornado warning so they had to usher everyone to the basement. Due to my dogs difficulty with everyone, they put us in a corner away from everyone else. I'm not sure how many animals needed to be shuffled around but everyone was so kind and calm it didn't seem like anything big was going on. I was even offered water. Dr. Brooke (the best!) even came around and told entertaining stories about tornadoes being no big deal in the mid west. Our dog got a sticker/twig in her pad while we were on vacation. Our pet-sitter called and we asked her to take her to the vet. They saw her immediately, gave her medicine for pain, and called us with their assessment. Because they were very busy, the vet took her into surgery during her lunch break! It ended up being a minor procedure but what great service. The vet then called us after the procedure to let us know how things had turned out. Highly recommend this hospital.

While the front office can be a little scattered, this is the best veterinary care I have ever found. The doctors are professional, compassionate and will sit on the floor with you and your dog answering all the questions you have. They don't have their hand on the door knob while you talk to them. They saved our dog's life twice. What more can I say?

I have been taking my cats and dogs to Paradise for many years. They are always on target in their care and treat the animal and human clients with care. They take time to hear what you are saying and reply in a kind way. Different doctors have seen my guys over the years and they have all been great. I would recommend them if you are looking for an animal hospital. Also, I have used the therapy and boarding facilities and they are as good as the doctors' care. In July 2016, I took my dog and one of my cats in because of problems. The doctors identified the problems and took care to correct them. Once again my guys got excellent care at Paradise Hospital.

i like that this animal hospital is clean and close to where i live. It is convenient to only have to drive 5 minutes away because my cat gets horribly car sick and will poop and vomit in her carrier. Upon arriving to the clinic (i have now been going here for 3 years consecutively) my cat and i were placed in the same room we always go to (makes me believe they only have one room designated for cats) but see a different Doctor every time... The issue i was having with the my cat, was a previous ailment that had occurred 2 years ago. The vet suggested many general contributing factors such as: weight, environmental allergies, fleas, etc. after the Vet listens to my concerns, I felt as if the advice was in the complete opposite direction and I wasnt being listened to or heard. The treatment provided for my cat seemed unnecessary and not suited for her current condition. I know I am not the Doctor, i am not telling the Vet how to do their job, but I live/know my cat and her behaviors. HOWEVER, it seemed clear to me that this Hospital was after my wallet, not my concerns. After a full examination and ear cytology for my cat (which i was told the results would be coming back to me that visit, and they never did) I was highly upset. For stressing my cat out further by having to put her in the car and travel, for stressing myself out, and upset that my cat is still in discomfort with her issue unsolved. I have been going to this clinic for 3 years, but it's always good to get a second HOSPITABLE opinion.

My first visit to Paradise Animal Hospital was a very pleasant experience. It is so clean and there is no crowding or stress involved in the waiting room. The doctor was very knowledgeable and soothing to my animal with his examination. I will definitely be returning with my other pets even though I have been seeing another vet for the past few years. I was able to get in quickly without having to wait and that is so important when you have a sick animal.

Our little furboy, Howard, needed to have his dewclaws removed. The intake was fast, the office was clean and the staff was extremely courteous. Howard recovered quickly and they even gave him a little treat as we were leaving. We have another furboy named Harvey. He's a big boy who loves people, but is very aggressive toward all other animals besides Howard. This office is going to accommodate his behavior by letting him come during "non-appointment" hours. That is a huge relief! I also learned that they offer a Military/Veteran Discount for some procedures.

My parents take their cat there all the time. They have great doctors and health team for all pet. They take time to found out what wrong with your pet bo matter how long it takes. Their cat has asthma and diabetes. They took the time to help my parents with everything. Teach them how to take care of a sickly cat.

Dr. Sarah Halpern is the one that saw my puppy. I went there because he had something on he’s paw growing. I’m disappointed because she only said it was an infection when I told her it was growing. Long story short I ended up paying over 400. Left unsatisfying because I was pretty sure it was a tumor. The antibiotics did nothing. And I ended up searching for another vet. I went to Dr. Negola in Columbia MD. The very first visit he told me he needed surgery. Didn’t spend a lot of money like I did here and it included surgery. I do not recoment this place, if you want the best for your pet visit Dr.Negola. He’s also board certified! And you won’t spend as much as here.

I love how attentive everyone was to our dogs. They really did their best to make them feel comfortable during the exam, since my doggies are usually pretty scared at the vet. They gave them treats and even got down the door to do the exam for the bigger one who hates being picked up. And, on top of that, they really know their stuff. Our dog had some problem with his paws being itchy and he would always bite them which we were always told was just allergies. Here the vet recommended some different solutions in case it was actually mites, which no one had ever suggested before.

I've yet to find a better group of veterinarians than Paradise. Their skill and compassion are unparalleled. The doctors will sit on the floor with you and your pet to discuss the problems and solutions as long as you need. They've saved my dog's life three times - so far. The only thing that keeps them from five stars is that the front office is pretty scattered. Prescriptions frequently don't get phoned in, specifically. But, the staff is very friendly and seem to enjoy the work. I'll recommend them to anyone.

Great location and good customer service. I've taken a cat there for regular care/shots as well as my rabbit. They were able to see me for an urgent appt on the same day I called which was nice. The staff are very nice as are the vets. I received some some good advice for some preventative care for my rabbit who has recurring dental issues. They also are one of the few clinics in the area who do spay/neuter and other services for those who have rabbits! Clinic is on a quiet country road right off of Belair Rd. Perfect for animals nervous around traffic or noise.

Not the easiest patient to handle, particularly after a recent surgery on his leg.
