I have been coming here for almost as long as they have been open. They are wonderful and caring people. This visit was for surgery to remove a lipoma and possible cancerous mass. Dr. Allison called me before surgery to verify what we were doing to see if there was anything I had questions about. I would not go anywhere else as long as I live in this state.

Long wait times for appointments. Today we had a wait of 40 minutes. No staff came out to explain what was going on to me or other patients in the waiting room. If there is going to be a wait of this length, staff should call patients before their appointment. Dr. Meyer is not patient with pets, opting to muzzle my sweet, albeit anxious dog, before trying to make her comfortable by speaking to her. He poked his head in when he heard her barking and asked what sized muzzle she needed. Once he started talking to my dog, at the end of the appointment, she warmed up to him just fine. Dr. Martini is better--much more patient. She actually worked with my sweet girl by talking to her.

The staff and Vets at Marymont are excellent. The doctors will talk with you over the phone and provide reassurance (something I have not seen before!). They provide curteous and prompt services and explain, in detail, the condition of your animals. I trust them with my fur babies and will be a lifetime customer.

Bad Experience: The groomer is not qualified to do the job she advertised to do. I brought my dog to be groomed and was appalled to see that she did not groom my dog at all but bathed him and did a few cut here and there. I took her around 1hr. to groom my dog that usually takes 2.5hrs. The charge was $65 for doing practically nothing to my dog. In addition, I was charged $38 for an influenza shot. Further, they also vaccinated my dog with a bordetella intranasal $42 without calling me. When I asked, I was told they required those vaccines for any dog that is going to be groomed. In total, I was scammed $145 for grooming services. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I moved to MD last year and we didnt need a vet for an emergency until now. I found MAH on Google and took my dog to see Dr Meyer. Dr Meyer was knowledgable, efficient, and provided an effective treatment plan (with alternatives that depend on how my dog would react). He was also very personable.

Absolutely the best Vet Practice in the DMV.Have been apart of The Marymount Family for over 30 yrs when Dr.John Meyers Sr. was the owner of the practice along with his wife.When Dr.John went to "vet heaven"his awesome son Dr.Greg Meyers and his wife Dr.Allison Meyers bought the practice from Greg's parents.Dr.John was a breeder of Dobermans we got our first one from him he was OTTO. We have continued to always have dobermans and always bring our "fur children"to Marymount...Folks these people are THE REAL DEAL

Our dog was very sick, and needed emergency attention. Marymont Animal Hospital let us come in right away, even though we were new patients. Everyone there was gentle, kind and compassionate. Dr. Meyer explained all our options, but we did not feel pressured or guilted into doing any unnecessary or extreme procedures. The fees were very reasonable. We will not go anywhere else from now on.

My grandma has used this place for years and is on a first name basis with the staff so I figured I would give it a shot. They have excellent staff and always take care of your animals. If the animal needs anything done they do them. In short they take excellent care of their customers and their pets.

I've been bringing my LhasaPoo here for six years now. I love the attention and level of service I receive on every visit. They send reminders for booster shots, etc, which I find helpful. Once I had what I now know was not such an emergency (I was a new puppy mom and knew no better) and they saw me immediately. What was so special about that visit was that no one made me feel silly for my concern. Instead they taught me how to handle such a situation if it were to occur again. Now, they may have laughed when I left,and that's okay because I certainly did.

My cat went beserk when I had to bring her to the vet several days ago. I had to wear a leather jacket and extra thick gloves. Even then, she fought me tooth and nail. Our appointment was for 11 am, but even though we arrived at 11:35, they still took us. My cat was still in a state when they took us. I had to keep her in the pet carrier up to the moment we went to the exam room. The doctor and her assistant very skillfully maintained control of the situation. Not only did they administer the distemper shot, they also weighed her in at 17 pounds, and cleaned the dirty pet carrier. OUTSTANDING!

recently had to take my kitty in as an emergency, and as a new patient and when i called they were extremely kind and told me right away if they could help which they were able to do. they helped us feel calm about leaving him there over night and just calm in general, (didn't meet the doctor but the front desk was so so helpful in letting us know how it was going and what our kitty had) we are picking him up tomorrow and hopefully everything go's well, but my initial experience? amazing and would highly recommend.

The vet did a surgery to remove a big tumor from my 11yo dog's eyelid. She did a fantastic job and the eyelid is perfect now. Cost total with office visit, labs and surgery, about $650. They also let us come and stay with our dog while she was waking up from surgery until she was ready to go home. I feel this was very calming for our dog and made her recovery easier. The stitches were perfectly done and the dog never even needed a cone.

I have interacted with numerous techs and two doctors at this vet and I’m always comforted by the amount of time and attention I am given with my dog. She has a lot of gastrointestinal issues and I’m always called back the same day if I have questions but can’t bring my dog into the office, and they have all helped me decide when it was the right time to bring her into the emergency vet when necessary. Thank you for your service, I am thankful for you guys!

This place stinks, and I don't mean the smell. The front reception ladies are rude and condescending. They treated me as if I was taking up there time until they found out I had money. Once they found out I had money, then they tried to treat me with respect. My advice to them, never judge a book by its cover. Every african American that dresses down isn't a bum. So you should treat everyone with respect until they show you that they don't deserve your respect. I stopped coming to this location & found another vet that's way better. I would never spend another dime at this place.

We had a great cat for 14 years, he started to have seizures, so we knew it was time to not let him suffer any more. We rescue cats and have used Marymont for all our 7 cats. NOT ANYMORE ! The bill was $258 to euthanize him!! I called and talked to Dr Meyer, who offered a time payment plan. Not a reduction, I was asking for. Cancer has hit home and money is not easy to come by . He could care less! We price checked and Fairland Vet was $98, Four Corners Vet was $150 and Coll Pke.Vet., was $109.50 !! Unbelievable !! I knew they were a bit higher priced than other places, BUT !!! This review was left by Tom Waggaman
