Thrilled to have found Marriottsville Animal Hospital with Dr. Pinkham. He and his staff are very professional, warm, and have taken amazing care of my dog. Dr. Pinkham saw my dog on a Saturday morning, as a new patient, for a problem he had been having with ongoing ear infections. An ER vet, as well as my (previous) vet, were having no luck helping my dog get better after weeks of treatment. My dog is also diabetic and has cardiac disease, and Dr. Pinkham was very careful about a treatment plan that would not adversely affect these other issues that my dog has. I also like that the staff brings in a written estimate of the treatment plan - before they actually do the treatment. No surprise bills - and I found the price of the visits similar, if not below, what I have spent at other practices. The staff always calls to check on my dog after visits, to make sure he is doing ok and see if I have any questions. I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Pinkham, and his staff, to care for my pets.

We are always pleased with our visits to Dr. Pinkham, even if our pets are nervous. The staff is so accommodating and the friendly atmosphere invites calm attitudes, open communication, and the best advice you could ask for regarding your non-homosapien babies. While the prices for vet visits are always relatively high, Marriottsville Animal Hospital makes sure to go out of their way to work with each individual and cut corners where they can -- there are many times we have been relieved as a result. On top of all of that, it is extremely apparent that each staff member does their fair share of research beforehand so that you don't waste your time going in. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone who is skeptical of vets or animal hospitals/have had a bad experience in the past.

I have been taking both of my dogs, Boomer (14) & Mira (3), to Dr. Pinkham since moving to the area a year ago. Dr. Pinkham has been the most proactive vet I have taken Boomer to regarding his congestive heart failure and I could not be more pleased. He is upfront with the procedures he categorizes as necessary and is honest about those that can be postponed. He is not a greedy vet trying to rip you off and will work with you to the extent he is able. The staff is friendly and always very helpful. And to top it off, my dogs love going to the vet! We HIGHLY recommend all pet owners we talk to to Marriottsville Animal Hospital.

Our experience has taken me a few months to post because our beloved Sophie finally lost her battle to her illness and it has been rather tough to talk or write about it. Dr. Pinkham and his lovely staff (Jaime was absolutely wonderful) surpassed every single one of our expectations from the first time we saw them back in January! He really took the time to help our little Bichon-a-poo especially when everything seemed hopeless. He was also the one to discover her tumor and worked with us to figure out the best medications and helped give us a few extra months with our family's very first dog. I can say without a doubt that Dr. Pinkham exhausted every possibility to save our dog but never took us on a wild goose chase. Though exploratory surgeries are always an option, our little eight pound furry friend would have survived (and even if she did, the prognosis wouldnt have been very good) and we were happy just to have the extra time with her. The best thing he recommended was to put her on a rice and fresh chicken diet and that helped her eat and she enjoyed every meal (even gained a pound or two) after she refused just about everything else. He even found special Rx food for her and helped us figure out a brand that she would actually try since she rejected anything we tried. Dr. Pinkham, you saved our puppy's life in January (through the big blizzard) and we were able to spend a few extra months with her and say goodbye. We will never forget what you did for us and we tell everyone we know about your top notch service and how much you genuinely care about the animals. All too often a veterinary hospital is simply about the business and the bottom line. We were very lucky to have had the experience that we had (both with Dr. Pinkham and the emergency vet) and will forever be thankful for the time and effort expended on the smallest member of our family. William is our dwarf hamster. Yes, he's a rodent and he only cost us about $20 at Pet Smart. But this little guy has become such a beloved member of our family that we didn't think twice about getting him medical care when he appeared to lose weight. The problem was that our Catonsville vet didn't treat "exotic" pets. What? So our vet recommended Marriottsville Animal Hospital. OMG.... this practice is AWESOME! They gave us an appointment right away and worked with our crazy schedule. They diagnosed and treated William the same day. He was losing weight because he had a serious dental issue. Now the little guy is a happy camper and so are we. WE LOVE THE MARRIOTTSVILLE ANIMAL HOSPITAL TEAM! If you bring your pet there, you wont be disappointed!

The amount of time the vet takes to explain issues and optional options goes above and beyond my expectations. It is quite obvious that he and the staff not just care about our pets but us as well. Dr. Pinkham and the staff at Marriottsville Animal Hospital provided excellent care for our GSD as well as out mix bread dogs. They are very knowledgeable and caring. My GSD needed a canine tooth extracted and they took excellent care of him. Dr. Pinkham took the time explaining the procedure and followed up with us after the surgery. Compassionate, kind, thorough, and extremely competent are just a few qualities that set Marriottsville Animal Hospital above other facilities. We have a 10 year old black lab who became quite sick. Our lab's symptoms progressed for the worse and Dr. Pinkham came in on his day off to assess our dog. He took the time to answer and explain issues and treatment. I cannot say enough amazing things about this hospital. I had an emergency with one of my dogs back in January when we had that HORRIFIC snowstorm and not only was I able to be seen immediately same day, I had completely freaked out and was so calmed and amazed at the kindness and professionalism of Dr. Pinkham and the hospital staff. Everyone I talked to was so nice during my crying fit on the phone, my crying fit when I got to the hospital, and my crying during the examination. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was so kind and helpful. My dog ended up being good, after everything the hospital did for her, I even got follow up calls days and even weeks later. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated everyone and everything they did. Like I said earlier, I cannot say enough good things. Even before my emergency visit, my visits before were always great. The ladies at the front are so helpful and so kind. You can absolutely tell they love animals. I cannot thank everyone enough!!

Never a good time when you have to visit a doctor, even less so when you are bringing a loved pet. The staff at Marriottsville Vet Clinic are always make you feel welcome when you walk in. Never a question if you are getting the best care and everything is explained. Best thing I love, the veterinarians (I cant remember names but that is my memory being awful) are are not know it all's and willing to say "I don't know" if something is not immediately known. They will research and get back to you as quickly as possible to provide the best care for your furry family member. If I could give more stars, I would. Best vet clinic I have taken my pets to, hands down.

Recently moved to the area and my cat needed dental attention ASAP. I contacted Marriottsville Animal Hospital and was able to secure a same day appointment with Dr Pinkham. He quickly determined what she needed and was able to render the necessary dental services the next morning. The doctor explained everything in detail before and after the surgery giving me great confidence in the outcome. My cat recovered quickly and was eating and drinking and even playing a little that evening after bringing her home. So thankful to Dr Pinkham and his staff for giving Sophie such exemplary care. After visiting several other vets that didn't provide the level of care we were looking for, we found Dr. Pinkham at Marriottsville Animal Hospital and couldn't be happier. From day 1 he has provided excellent attention and care to helping our dog recover. He is very thorough and provided us with a long term care plan we were happy with. The staff is also excellent and makes you feel welcome every visit and they treat your pets like family. Costs are very affordable. We would definitely recommend bringing your pets here.

Extremely happy with the service that is given at this vet. My grandmother's dog is very elderly and can sometimes be a pain to handle . They take great care of her and recently she had some problems with her eyes and they were infected. After three days we've already seen a major improvement in her vision and overall she looks better. The staff and doctors here are wonderful, they are so nice.

My husband and I have a very special needs kitten (Princess Wobbly Bear aka Little Bear) and we were very unhappy with our former vet for various reasons. We decided to seek out a local vet who was not only professional, but also kind. We have found that vet here at Marriottsville Animal Hospital. Wow, where to begin. This place is amazing. We sought this place out after our rat became sick. They got us booked for an appointment right away and were able to see us later in the day (very convenient since we work late). When we got there we were immediately greeted by the nicest receptionist ever! Jamie was very personable and made us feel comfortable, warm and welcome. She even shared some stories about her own pet rat! We were able to see the doctor promptly and were not kept waiting for a single moment throughout the entire visit. When we saw the doctor (Dr. Pinkham), he was very thorough and VERY knowledgeable. It's usually hard to find a vet that's good with and knows a lot about small animals (especially rats). He informed us about any possible conditions our rat could have and gave us the run-through of each of those conditions, followed by potential plans and recovery options. When he narrowed the diagnosis down, he was very open about which medicines he does and does not recommend. He made us feel very included in the whole process, it was so great and relieving! Overall, Marriottsville Animal Hospital is a great place to take your sick (or well!) animal. The staff is all very friendly and informative. The visit will be effective and quick. I highly highly recommend this place!!!

We are most appreciative of the care, concern, and expertise he offered to help Tengu recover. This is a review of their front staff. The doctor and office are great. I've brought my dog to Dr Pinkham and he's gentle. I'm not sure what it is. But I couldn't get a straight answer from their receptionist. "Umm I don't ummm umm ok. Well. I don't know." I needed one answer about a service. Asked if she could ask the doctor or if I could come in and she could quote me. She says, " I don't know. No I can't. Ummm." Just tell me how much it will cost. I don't think that's too hard to do. Or ask the doctor. Either call me back or tell me to come in so you can tell me the price off the phone but it seems I will be going elsewhere.

Dr. Shah and his staff are absolutely amazing! Our dog was lost for over 30 hours and we found her and called the closest vet, Marriottsville Animal Hospital. We called right as they were about to close for the evening and they told us to bring her in right away. As soon we got there, Dr. Shah went to work. His passion for animals was clear and we knew we were in good hands. His explained every part of what he was doing and even processed the blood sample onsite and had results within minutes! It could be his 30+ years experience or his genuine care and concern, but it is clear to us that this is the place to bring your furry loved ones.

This animal hospital is great! From the doctor to the other staff, extremely nice and professional. I live a little far away from here and it's a good 20 30 min drive for me but I wouldn't bring my puppy anywhere else. The prices are on the higher side but the service and courtesy you receive are worth every penny. They have a really advanced tech and pretty much can take care of anything within their facility!

Today was my first visit with Lucy, my 100+ lb Shepherd. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. They scheduled an appointment for me immediately by phone, took her info by phone, which made life easier showing up since having to fill out forms with a large dog is a challenge . When we arrived, the location was spotless and we were greeted immediately. We didn't wait long and we were escorted to a private room. All of the staff were great with my dog. In the private examination room, the vet came quick and took the time to explain the issues regarding our visit. This is remarkably different from my prior vet, who was very indifferent about explaining both the diagnosis and treatment, but quick to empty my pockets. I was very impressed with his patience, and Lucy will be a long time patient.
