I have taken all of our animals, dogs and cats, to Lutherville for decades. They have bee nothing but wonderful, professional, caring and very kind to pets and humans alike. They even rescued one of my dogs once who had gotten away and was picked up by a stranger -- she saw the hospital's phone number on the rabies tag, called them, got directions since it was close, dropped my dog off and they called me right away. Now that's service! When that same dog died many years later, the staff penned me a very thoughtful condolence letter knowing that I was simply heartbroken over his loss. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I've taken my cat here since I got her 9 years ago. I actually even think we kenneled my sun conure with them, if I'm remembering correctly. I've been very pleased, and always feel very comfortable when I'm bringing my animals in there. As the other review said, I'm sorry to hear about the troubles others have experienced, but I would personally recommend this vet.

What a wonderful, professional and caring place to take all of your fur babies! I take my turtle, puggle and cat here and I never have to worry that the care will be anything less than superior. They treat your animals like they would treat their own. They explain everything and give so many options that individualize the care for your pet. I have complete trust in all of the doctors and the techs are competent and highly skilled! You will not be disappointed and your pets will thank you for bringing them to a second family!

Lutherville Animal Hospital is the best vets office around. My family has been going here for as long as I can remember because they treat your animals as if they were their own. I would not recommend any other vet in the Baltimore City and county area.

This place has been great for my family and I to all bring our pets to. This is the only place we really feel comfortable bringing our pets. The staff is great and very friendly. They try to work with you and don't over charge. I have used their boarding services before and they were great with that too. The staff has a real love for animals. When my Rat had an issue, and they wernt sure she would make it, they went above and beyond to care for her and help her pull through. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We are new to area, and our dog needed to be seen at 1030 on a Saturday for probable UTI. Lutherville AH fit us in and saved us a trip to emergency vet as waiting until Monday was not a good option. They were professional, knowledgeable, clearly not out to overtest/ bill, and great with our dog. We will be back!

This is not a good kennel. It is way too small and the waiting room does not have adequate room unless you are the only one there. Honestly, I have boarded my dog at several local kennels. There is ALWAYS a problem here, but I have never had a call that there was a problem from other kennels. When you are called by the doctors or techs, you can't even have a conversation because they constantly interrupt you. There is hidden charges and an excessive bath/grooming charge that is pretty well hidden, but required. I would not recommend this Kennel to anyone.

The other reviewers here are both from out of state, so I'm not even sure they're reviewing the right place, and even if they are, they clearly don't have extensive experience with the location. I find it a bit disturbing that of the three review quotes I got from google for the luterhville animal hospital, 2 quotes were taken from the same negative review (out of 10 reviews, the rest of which were positive), and the review was from an out of state reviewer to boot. I've been a customer of Lutherville Animal Hospital for years, and find them to be proficient, friendly and easy going. Yes, the building is old and a bit beat up, but it adds character, and the exam rooms are clean. I think it's very much standard procedure in most places I've visited to separate the owner and pet for some measurements.

We bring all of our pets to Lutherville Animal Hospital. We have 4 cats and one very old dog. I absolutely love this place. They've really been the for us whenever we've needed them. I've had to take them elsewhere before and the other place treated us like a number and a paycheck. It was awful. And that place is famous with a celebrity for an owner. But they just made me appreciate Lutherville even more. They really love our babies and that gives me great comfort when I need to take them in for any veterinary services.

Dr Pierce is absolutely fantastic, she has always listened to my concerns and not just given cookie-cutter style answers or brushed off issues. One of my cats has separation anxiety issues and some seasonal allergies - while these may be uncommon neither are completely unheard and I greatly appreciated her taking the time to go over all options and not just shove antihistimines in my hand and tell me to medicate daily as another vet in the practice did. Sadly as Ive moved from place to place the trek to bring my furry companions in has become a bit too far. Liked the practice overall, absolutely loved the care we recieved with Dr Pierce.

I visited the Lutherville Animal Hospital with my Green Cheek Conure Skittles who wasn't feeling to well. I've had Skittles since 2008 and have traveled the country with her and she means a lot to me. She was having breathing problems and was in a super fragile state. The staff was excellent and was able to fit me into the schedule on short notice. I met with Dr Hart, who was fantastic. Normally vets try to take your pets to the back for an exam and leave you in the dark. She preformed the exam in front of me and was very careful and complete in her exam, and care. She listened to all my concerns and asked very pertinent questions. Once everything was done she sent me home with some medicine to administer. Normally vets give you a bottle and syringe and say good luck. The staff loaded up a syringe for every dose measured perfectly to make it as easy as possible to administer the medicine. After searching for a good Avian vet in the area I have found one at a superb hospital that cares and doesn't try to rip you off. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Lutherville Animal Hospital for your all your pet care and needs.

We took our dog Spencer there for most of the time we had him, around 8 years. We were pleased with the care he got there. We never had to wait long when we got there. They would take him back to take measurements and then we would go into the exam room with him and the vet. Both Dr. Volks are very nice as are the staff. We just had to put Spencer down and they were very kind in the way they handled it with us including supplying lots of tissues. We were surprised and very appreciative when we received a condolence card signed by they whole staff.
