Dr. Vivian Ho is the best avian vet that I have ever worked with, you can tell by the ways she handled my birds that she is very experienced with birds. We arrived home on a Saturday afternoon to find our 10 year old parakeet on the bottom of his cage, barely alive. I called HVAH & they agreed to see him right away. We rushed over & they took him back immediately where unfortunately he died. Dr. Ho was very thorough in explaining what might have been the cause of death and discussing parakeet culture in general. After all that prompt care, they didn't charge us anything. I was very impressed with Hunt Valley AH.

This was our first time here and I was very impressed with how things were done. My dog is very nervous and can get aggressive. I had never been offered sedation to get his exam and vaccines done but Hunt Valley did! I didn't think a vet exam could be stress-free! I'm so happy! I have been taking my cats to Hunt Valley Animal Hospital for several years after a friend recommended them. The young ladies at the desk are always friendly and helpful, always asking how the little ones are doing. The vet assistants are gentle and caring when handling them. We go to Dr. Pondish and he is VERY good. He not only handles the cats well during the exam, he takes time to listen to what's going on in their lives - even if it has nothing to do with the appointment. (Like the latest really cute thing they did!) He also listens to concerns and/or questions and answers carefully, fully, and knowledgeably. A great place to take your pets!

Our English Bulldog, Gladstone was recently in for his elongated soft palate, nares and neuter. We cannot thank Dr. Frank and his staff enough for taking care of our baby. Gladstone is a completely different dog now that he has had the soft palate and nares surgery. The surgery opened up his nose and his palate no longer obstructs his airway. His snoring has also subsided and we barely hear him at night. He breathes 100 times better!!! We LOVE Hunt Valley and highly recommend them!

I take both of my cat's to Dr. Johnson and she is great. She has given good advice, and is good at catching things, like checking for round worms. I have been with Hunt Valley Animal Hospital for many many years and many many pets. We have always gotten the best most comprehensive and caring care from everyone there. On my last visit I asked about what we should do to help our son's cat while we kitty sit for a month... with our two cats in the same house. They gave me great instructions on how to keep everyone calm and separate. This was great advice! Getting appointments and sometimes just getting tech appt.s for a shot or blood work is great when you have barn cats too! Very happy with everyone, they feel like family

I can not say enough about how amazing the staff and vets are at HuntValley animal hospital ! The knowledge and kindness of each and every member show from the moment you walk through the door ! I am so thankful I found them when I did for my bulldog who needed a palate and nare operation , I called to get some information about it and left a message , I was told I would get a call back , never ever did I expect to get a call on a Sunday from Dr Frank who took time out of his own day off and talk me through the operation what it intails and how recovery would be , I wasn’t even a client yet ! Well I can tell you from that moment I knew they were the place to be ! Went meet Dr frank and scedualed it with him that month . My boy is now happy and healthy . We added a new member a year later our frenchie and the care Dr Cudjick showed us from day one was hands down ! She was our miracle ! She was born with a cleft palate ! She now healthy as a horse and full spazzzzzz mode .. we won’t go anywhere else ! Keep up the amazing work !

I am putting a one star rating on the Grooming ONLY. I did go to the vet here and they were super sweet. The groomer is NOT sweet and is basically there to work, not passionate about animals or her work. She called me to tell me my dog had to be picked up because he needed medication before coming back so he was half done, anxious and by the way took him somewhere else(MA) where I moved from for six years without medication. She also tried to muzzle him which I told her not too. I have never heard of a non-aggressive small dog being sent home! NEVER AGAIN!

Last night was our first night taking our chocolate lab Bruce to Hunt Valley Animal Hospital. The staff were very friendly and inviting. Bruce was smothered with cookies, loved all over, and they even wrote a welcome message on the board for him. Dr Vivian Ho was amazing. She took the time to get to know us and welcome Bruce to the clinic. Dr Ho was extremely thorough and very encouraging of Bruce's health. I think we've found our vet!

I normally don't do reviews, but the reason I chose Hunt Valley for my dogs surgery was because of a review of another dog owner whose dog had the same surgery as my dog so I wanted to write one this time. The service is great, everyone is very friendly. My dog had airway corrective surgery and spay, I was terrified because she is an English Bulldog and it is very risky for them to be put under anesthesia. Dr. Cujdik made me feel so much better though because he explains everything so well and he has done this surgery several times before on the same breed. Her recovery has been great, we live 2 hrs from the hospital but he is there for you through email and phone for any questions. I exchanged several emails post surgery with pictures and videos of my dog and that made me feel better about her recovery and being sure it was going well.

Best vet ever!! My 10-1/2 year old cat had to have dental surgery which included nine extractions. She sailed through the procedure but had a tough time with recovery. Dr Tim Cujdik called and emailed me throughout the entire New Year's holiday weekend to make sure that she was okay and offer suggestions to make her more comfortable. He also saw her every day that week once the hospital reopened until she was back to her normal self. The dedication and caring of not only Dr. Cujdik but the entire staff at HVAH is amazing!! I will be a fan forever and can't thank them enough!!!

We have been going to Hunt Valley Animal Hospital since we moved to the area last summer and have had nothing but great experiences! Dr. Pondish is so knowledgeable and you can tell he truly loves animals. All of the staff members we have worked with have been great. I also love that they have evening hours available. Our elderly dog just had his teeth cleaned and needed to have a bunch pulled. While it’s an expensive process in general, they were very understanding of our budget and explained everything thoroughly.

I used Hunt Valley Animal Hospital for many years close to 20 years with my dog. I've had at least three of my dogs go to this location. The staff is very friendly and they treat your pets as if they were their own pets. I've never had a problem with my dog being mistreated at this facility. The staff is very cordial and friendly and the facility is very clean. The waiting time is not as long as you would think for the veterinarian to see your pet. For one month and a half I had to work in Italy and one of my dogs boarded at this location. When I picked my dog up, she was in the same condition she was when I left her to go work overseas. So far we've seen three different doctors at this hospital and they have all been fantastic! They're all very knowledgeable and informative when we have questions or concerns. On our most recent visit, the vet actually did her examination on the floor (!!) in order to accommodate our scaredy cat, who likes to hide in the smallest cubby she can find. I was very impressed with this, most vets in the past have dragged her out to put her on the exam table but Dr. Ho was so patient and gentle with her. Thank you!!

I first spoke with Meghan about our pug suffering with sever sleep apnea. She was very kind and attentive to everything I said to her about our pug Penny. She got us an appointment quickly and we seen Dr. Johnson. It was agreed on that Penny should have her soft pallet and air way checked. The first available surgeon was Dr. Cujdik. He performed her surgery and treated us and Penny like family!!! Through her recovery, Dr. Cujdik has worked passionately and has gone above and beyond all expectations to make sure Penny is ok. He even had us check in daily with reports on her recovery. On one of the visits we saw Dr. Ho, another fantastic dr. who listened in detail to everything we said about Penny. There are no words to describe the unbelievable compassion they have shown towards Penny and my family. Dr. Cujdik even took his personal time to consult with other specialists to address Pennies case so that Penny would receive the absolute best care possible. There are good drs. all around, but the drs. at Hunt Valley Animal Hospital are exceptional!!!! I've experienced 3 vets previous to this one and they don't compare. Dr. Pondish was direct, informative, and did not try to just make me feel good. He told me what I needed to do to help my dog be in an ideal condition, not just comfortable. He was able to suggest alternative medicines to the ones currently being used, which were causing mild side effects and were not as effective, and where to purchase for the best price. The front desk was very helpful and nice given how busy they were, and yet quite efficient.

I've been taking my animal(s) to Hunt Valley for as long as I've been living in the area. Most of this review gives kudos to Dr. Vivian Ho. She is my go to for not only my dog, but for any of our other wide range of pets that we have at home. It's amazing how knowledgeable and patient she is. Not only that, but even if she is running around like a chicken with their head cut off because of how busy she is, you still have all your questions answered thoroughly and she walks you through each individual item individually. It doesn't matter how busy she is, she makes it a point to make sure that you understand everything that is going on with your pet. The girls at the front desk are mostly nice, some more than others, and it seems as there is sometimes a disconnect between the doctors and the front desk. My dog was prescribed medication that I was going to pick up at a local pharmacy the next day - I showed up and they had no idea what I was talking about. Someone had forgotten to call it in. I had to call the front desk, inquire about it, and thankfully the girl who helped me was able to get me situated fairly quickly. She even called me back to confirm that she did call the pharmacy herself. Other times, though, it seems like they are only on the phone because they have to be. It just depends who is working I guess. I called a little while ago to try to make an appointment for my dog that I was concerned about, but was informed that the next available appointment with Dr. Ho was in a week and a half. I then contacted Dr. Ho myself and was given an appointment the next day. It really just all depends. I think people really need to understand when they're giving bad reviews for places such as veterinary offices, is the extent of how busy they actually are. You're mad because you weren't seen after you were late for your appointment? I'm sorry, every single person that has an appointment behind you isn't going to suffer because you couldn't show up on time. There was a gentleman in at my last visit who was getting an attitude with the front desk ladies because "xyz" wasn't disclosed when he booked the appointment. "How am I supposed to know what any of this means or what these procedures are if I wasn't told about it beforehand!" Aside from the fact that a grown man should have known what a lot of the procedures they mentioned are, talk it through with the staff - they'll be glad to give you any and all information you may need if you ask for it.

Had our first visit yesterday with my Louie (English Bulldog) and we are glad we came! We live 45 minutes away but it is worth the drive to see Dr Frank. I was extremely happy with how he took the time to check out Louie as well as go over different ways for treatment and such. I didn’t feel rushed or hurried and I have never dealt with somebody more professional or knowledgeable with help with our English Bulldog. I have taken my birds to Dr. Vivian Ho for years, and as usual, she was truly amazing. If you have birds, she is the vet you want. Our "family" cat vet is Dr. Meghan Johnston, and I personally think she is the best, but over the many years we have seen almost every specialist in this clinic, and all of them are extremely nice, caring and professional. We are always accommodated with appointment time, and when one of my Tonkinese ran away, Hunt Valley Animal Hospital put us up on their billboard, on their own, not charging us a single penny. Hunt Valley Animal Hospital is the place to go if you need care for your exotic bird companion. Dr. Ho has saved my birds a couple of times when they were injured and sick. Went here a few times when my dog was a puppy back in 2012... The girls the worked at the front desk were so rude every time I went there I could not understand how they had any business. I assumed that the doctors would compensate for the rudeness of the front desk... Boy was I wrong. I cannot remember her name but she was around 50 with blonde hair. Whatever the doctors name is...she dealt with my dog like she hated animals in general !!!! I mean your a VET !!!! Act friendly to the dog you are about to examine !!! Not only was she very callous with my dog... There were several times I asked this "doctor" a question and she gave me a very snide answer like "how dare you ask me a question!!!". She did not smile or act like she cared for even one second. I thought maybe it was just a bad day... NOPE. SHE WAS CONSISTENTLY RUDE ALL 3 TIMES I WENT THERE. The last time I was there the girl at the front desk kept givinge a bad look because my 2 month old puppy was jumping up and down on the chair (on a leash mind you) and then asked me IF I COULD WAIT OUTSIDE WITH MY DOG UNTIL I WAS READY TO BE SEEN. VERY UNACCEPTABLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY I JUST LEFT AND NEVER CAME BACK.

What we like most about our vet is his thorough explanations of plan of care for any issue with our cats. I would highly recommend them.

I had the pleasure of taking my dog to hunt valley animal hospital. Not only did they accommodate my vacation plans by getting us; a NEW patient in prior to me leaving, they worked with us so the dog sitter didn't have to do a thing while I was gone. The facility is extremely cleaning, the staff is phenomenal and the doctors obviously LOVE their jobs and especially the animals. I would definitely recommend HVAH, you won't be disappointed!!!

My first experience with Hunt Valley was an emotionally trying one - my cat was having some GI symptoms, and then unfortunately was diagnosed and lost to cancer. I was horrible losing her, but what I can say is that HV animal hospital was excellent. Her diagnosis and treatment (we tried for a surgical repair of the tumor) were without delay. The veterinarian (Dr. Cujdik) and vet techs were thorough, gentle, and very supportive. Not all outcomes will be good when your pet is sick, but what I truly appreciate looking back is that I am confident that HV animal hospital did what was best for my cat and gave her the best chance of survival. Though I was not terribly dissatisfied with my prior vet, I was so impressed by the quality of care that I decided to move all my pets to the practice. I returned for a check up with my dog, and again we received the same high quality care in the context of a well-visit. Dr. Cujdik gave a notably thorough exam: I left feeling confident the vet's "he's is healthy" was something I could believe.

We have been with Dr. Cujdik for the 5 years we have had our English Bulldog-Chester. We followed him from Old Court Animal Hospital in Reisterstown, and were so happy when he landed in Hunt Valley. I always know Chester is getting the best care possible. He genuinely cares about our little guy and we couldn't be happier about the care and treatment he receives. I had my first cat declawed (all 4) by an experienced veterinarian last year and it cost a little over $600. I got my kitten declawed (front 2, weighs less) and was charged over $600 again. The first veterinarian told me is was $200 less to do front two, but we had to do all for for medical reasons. I spoke to the receptionist about it, she spoke to the doctor and I was credited $68. This is a much less experienced vet. Two less paws. Kitten vs adult cat. I looked prices up for the average price and $450 was on the high end. I trusted this clinic. My friend just told me the other day to be careful of this clinic because they over charge. I never thought so until now. Extremely disappointed.

Dr. Tim Cujdik provided compassionate and understanding care for my elderly greyhound. He attentively assessed his symptoms, closely monitored him over a span of time, honestly discussed the options with me and was able to help me make him comfortable during his remaining time. Dr. Cujdik was not judgmental of my choice to seek a palliative care approach, nor did he pressure me to seek extraordinary lifesaving measures and when I had to make a hard decision both he and the rest of the staff at HVAH gently held my greyhound as we said goodbye.

As a dog owner, it is important to my wife and I that our vet is knowledgable and sensitive to any health situation that might arise. The staff at Hunt Valley Animal Hospital has always treated our dog wonderfully. We feel like they have shown genuine care for him even as he as gotten older. When treatment has been necessary they have presented us with options but I have never felt like they were pushing treatments on my wife and I. I highly recommend HVAH and I thank them for their great service.

The staff at Hunt Valley Animal Hospital are amazing! My husband and I adopt older special needs cats and this team takes great care of them and are very patient with us when we bring the cats in for any little thing. We wouldn't go anywhere else! Drs. Ho, Johnston, Pondish et al are great! Ellen Woodson and the technician team are kind, caring and phenomenal to work with. The administrative team Kathy, Meghan and all are welcoming and efficient.
