This is the most personable, and professional vet clinic in salisbury. I have lived here for the last 10 years, and brought all my animals here. They spayed my dog, so I know they have a surgical staff. I don't think they are open on the weekend. I call them to schedule appointments, and to order flea&tick meds, and heart worm preventative. They really care about you and your pet. They are always informing patients what the newest medicines and techniques are. I recently found out from them that pumpkin spread is a good mixer with dry food to help dogs express their 'glands'.

They saved my dogs life when there was very little chance of him surviving and were honest, compassionate and just lovely through the entire traumatic process. My mini Dachshund was experiencing back problems. He had bounded down our back steps to chase a squirrel. Later that day, I noticed he was limping. As the day progressed, he couldn't move his back legs and even had trouble going to the bathroom. I took him to my regular vet and upon examination it was recommended that I take him to Dr. Lewis at Healing Hands. She thoroughly examined him and advised acupuncture. I was skeptical but gave my permission. When Bailey was brought back to me after the procedure (about 30 mins.) I could not believe the difference in my boy! He was walking again and actually wagged his tail a little, which he couldn't do before. He did have to have a few more treatments to get him back to normal but I have to say I was thrilled with the whole experience! I've never seen anything like it and I'm so thankful for this practice and the knowledge/proficiency that was evident.

Definitely on the pricey side but the experience is always pleasant. They are helpful and informative. I take my shepherd to Dr Mcteer and i love that she is very good with him, she will sit on the floor and give him love while she talks to me about whatever is going on. Its definitely worth the price.

Healing Hands is definitely one of the most professional and caring veterinarian offices I have ever experienced since owning pets, which has been most of my life. I can truly tell you as a devoted pet owner, that the veterinarians particularly Dr. Carol Lewis has performed miracles on my pets. For one experience, I had a miniature dachshund that was completely unable to walk due to back issues, she did acupuncture and within a few weeks he was able to walk again. Dr. Deb, helped my daughter with her cat that had bone cancer, walk through the sadness of having to put the kitty to sleep. The compassion that everyone at Healing Hands has, helps ease some of the anxiety that you may have dealing with the illnesses of your pets. I am so grateful to have been introduced to Healing Hands as a result of Dr. Christina Abramowicz joining their team with Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture as we were already patients of hers. Since coming to Healing Hands I now take our Gracie ( an 11 year old lab ) to Dr. Carol Lewis for Chiropractic and Traditional Vetrinarian Medicine. The staff and everyone I have dealt with there has been exceptional right down to follow up calls after a visit. Just a week ago today Gracie had a mass removed from her leg by Dr. Lewis ( which had gone undiagnosed at another clinic ) and I've received four calls to see how she's doing, I've never experienced such concern and follow up from a clinic and it means the world to any parent of a beloved companion animal. I follow a wholistic approach to my own health and know that I have found the best of both worlds for our Gracie at Healing Hands Animal Hospital.

I'm skeptical of these bad reviews - I suspect they are from competitors. Anyway, I started coming here years ago when I lived on the shore; now I drive from Towson to bring my six pets here. The staff is highly professional, helpful and very compassionate with my animals - most of which are special needs. They are literally lifesavers, and they've taught me a great deal about having happy, healthy dogs and cats.

My experience with Healing Hands was not what I expected it would be. I found their staff to be very unfriendly with very little exception. Why do most doctors offices have such a sense of entitlement and authority? They don't want people to see in their whole facility when they take the pets in the back. They say it is better for the pet and the pet owner, but maybe it is just for there convienience. There have been many Doctors come and go as well as staff. I have heard from many others that are not satisfied as well. If you want to pay high price for image, be my guest. I want the very best for my pet and I will be going to another Vet that offers more compassion in a more down to earth environment.

This has been one of my worst experiences with receiving care for my cat in my entire life. So many mistakes and incompetencies were made at various levels. My cat was given antibiotic medication that was the incorrect amount. To make matters worse she was boarded there for 5 days while we took a trip and the staff did not correct the mistake while they were giving her two doses a day. They should have caught it immediately because the amount they gave me could not have covered the entire 14 days. The bottle was dark glass and very heavy so it was not obvious to me that there was not nearly enough liquid for the 14 day period. They should have noticed it since that is their job and they do it every single day. When I called them to notify them of the mistake I was put on hold numerous times. I spent approximately 25 minutes on hold dealing with all of these problems. At one point I had to hang up and tend to my daughter after I had been on hold for nearly 10 minutes. That is completely unacceptable and unprofessional since these were all there mistakes. They told me they would give me another bottle for free but I had to come back and pick it up. It was one of those terrible snowy days and was a huge inconvenience for me. They said it would be for free and of course that is what I expected and hoped for. Less than two weeks later I received a bill for the medication totaling $16.30 that stated it was between 1 and 30 days past due. At that point I had completely had it with the level of incompetence in nearly every interaction with the Healing Hands Animal Hospital staff. I will admit that I was extremely curt with the staff as I was once again immediately put on hold for about three to four minutes again as I called to resolve yet another problem that was caused by no fault of my own. When the gal finally got back to me I told her to please not put me on hold again because that was what she was going to to do again in order to "figure" things out. I told her that was unacceptable to me and to call me if she needed to contact me again regarding the incorrect bill they wanted me to pay. They never called me again and I resolved to never use their services again because they are incapable of performing at acceptable levels. About three days letter I received a letter stating they would no longer offer services to me and never once acknowledged or apologized for making error after error and causing me distress. There love of animals is evident but they are completely incapable of running and effective business or treating their customers with even the basic level of respect.

I am always impressed with the professionalism of the staff from the moment they answer the phone to make your appt to the moment you are checked out, after your appt. Dr Lewis is not only caring and treats each pet as if they were her only patient, but her knowledge is endless. I live in New York but bring my 2 Std Poodles to Dr Lewis every year just for a full exam so that we have an ongoing relationship with her and her staff when the time comes we relocate. I've also implored her help with some extraordinary conditions my male Standard was going through and she was as thorough as any specialist and, actually, more thorough with certain diagnostic testing. I feel so good knowing my dogs are getting the best possible care.
