The staff was extremely friendly and knew how to comfort my dog while getting her vaccinations. Dr. Streett was very nice and thorough with the information given. My dog did not even yelp while receiving her vaccinations so he obviously knew what he was doing. I now have a better understanding of what i need to do to maintain the health of my dog! I will continue to see Dr.Streett and would follow him wherever he goes!

the vet has always been good with all 3 of our dogs. they keep track of all information on the pets and send reminder cards in a timely fashion. We have never had to wait more than 10minutes to be seen. I would recommend them to everyone. love this place. their prices are about the same in the area. the only thing they can give more of a discount for more than 1 pet

When we first started coming to Greenbrier for our kitten Amos it was great, Dr. Dillinger was amazing and we thought we found our vet. However our last visit did not go that way at all. Our kitten had a swollen mass on his face, that was about the size of a golf ball, so naturally we took him to Greenbrier. I'm appalled that my kitten was given a not even ten minute exam, then the exam wasn't even for this swollen mass on his face but for his eye because the mass was so big he was squinting his eye. I thought to myself this woman is a vet obviously she knows what she is doing, however I was wrong. Two-days later New Years day my boyfriend and I were awoken by our roommate saying that there is a lot of blood out here and Amos is bleeding really badly. We had to rush him to the animal hospital, whom has the same technology as Greenbrier, to be treated. Not only were we told that there was no conjunctivitis in his eye like the vet at Greenbrier had said that there was, but the mass on his face had ruptured, which was caused by an abscess tooth coming in. So instead of the vet at Greenbrier checking him thoroughly for anything that could cause this mass on his face, she saw his eye was red, again probably from the swelling and irritation and gave us eye drops and sent us on our way. I was told, even though my animal was misdiagnosed in my eyes, that I could not get a refund for the service that was obviously not performed. There is dental care, there is x-ray machines, there is everything there that could have gave us a proper diagnosis and if they couldn't I should not have been charged and they should have pointed us in the direction of the animal hospital. I have yet to even speak to the owner or manager about this situation, I keep getting the smug vet whom says to me "That's what I saw, and I stand by my diagnosis." I will not be going back. The picture below is of my poor kitten Amos on New Years day we cleaned him up the best that we could to take him to the animal hospital. Even in the picture you can see the mass on his face.

They discriminate against pitbulls just because of their breed. They aren't allowed in play groups regardless of the their disposition. A lot of family's own different breeds so your allowing one dog to come play but not its adopted sibling?? That's discrimination. I will never step foot in that place.

Greenbrier vet is an amazing practice and does NOT discriminate against any breed regardless of other comments. We have taken our pit bulls there for over a decade and our Brutus is a favorite patient of the staff! We simply can't come in with any of our other pets without the ladies asking about Brutus. Dr. Street has always taken amazing care of our dogs and cats and performed multiple surgeries on one of our pups who has cancer with minimal scarring that I would trust him to operate on me! If you need a great vet this is the place to go!

I don't find it very fair that you discriminate against bully breed dogs without even knowing their personality. People want to bring their dogs there to give them the socialization and you turn them down from doing so? Good luck with your business. I hope you catch a lot of backlash for treating the most misunderstood breed wrong!

I will never take my dog there again. Seems like they're just out to make a quick buck and don't care for the dog. Took my dog there for her shots and check up. I was told she's in great health, not even a week later she's in the emergency vet with a damaged liver. This was due to the allergy medicine they said she's alright to continue taking.

They were absolutely great! It was our first visit and we definitely found our home vet for our Dutch Shepard Pit mix. Everyone was so sweet to him and they had nothing but compliments on how great of a personality he had. Very happy with the overall experience.

Our family has been going to Greenbrier Vet for many many years. We have always found them to be extremely professional. They follow-up and have a very caring staff. I believe there is some confusion because Greenbrier Vet absolutely DOES NOT discriminate against Pitbulls or bully-type breeds. Our family has an American Bulldog who for lack of a better word is cranky. He is set in his ways and quite frankly, does not like going to the vet or anywhere he isn't very familiar. The staff and veterinarians at Greenbrier ALWAYS are patient with our dog. They don't rush getting him in and out. They take their time and go at our dog's pace. The staff are so incredibly gentle with our dog and he's a favorite amongst the kennel staff at Churchville Vet which is connected to Greenbrier. We primarily see Dr. Streett but have seen the others too. We would not continue to use a vet clinic that had a stance against our dog's breed. Greenbrier doesn't. Nor have they ever. We recommend them to everyone INCLUDING our Pitbull owning friends. Greenbrier is really a fantastic clinic and we'll be using them for years to come.

I don’t know where to start... they are extremely expensive & ripped me off!! They quoted me $300 for my male kitten & $500 for my female to get them spayed and neutered. My female has been throwing up her food, in whole pieces. Greenbrier put me on two different medicated foods with no luck, then did a leukemia & blood panel testing, still no luck. I took my pets to Chadwell in Abingdon. It was only $300 to get both my pets spayed & neutered. The issue with my female cat? Dr. Davis opened Izzy’s mouth, her gums were inflamed and signs of gingivitis she needs to get dental work and that is the reason she was not chewing her food! I wasted over $400 just in testing with Greenbrier. I am extremely disappointed in their services and their company as a whole.

****Update****: Unfortunately Greenbrier Veterinary practice is not what it use to be 3 yrs ago. I had been going to this clinic aince 2011, and the quality of service and level of care has declined substantially. The skilled vets such as Dr. Streett, Dr. Rowland, Dr. Holloway, who truly cared for their clients and their owners are few and far between as they are no longer in practice or only at select locations. It's really a sad thing to see such a caring vet clinic turn so cold. The front staff is abrasive and the newer veteriarian Dr. Leppien the last few visits was dismissive and condescending. It really made me wonder if the vet owned a pet themselves. I'm sure there are other vets and staff that may be more welcoming but unfortunately it was not reflected in my experience. I work in healthcare, so I found it baffling to see a clinic, albeit a vet clinic, with such poor bedside manner and so disassociated with patient/owner care. **Previous review (2014): They are hands down the BEST Vet I have ever been to. They are caring, detailed, thorough, and listen to any concerns you may have about your pet. The attentiveness to my pet's health along with changes noticed within the pet since the last visits are truly impressive. They go above and beyond in educating the owners of any issues the pet may be experiencing, and never do they dismiss any requests or concerns you may have, as they truly care for your pet as much as you do! Medications are always in stock and they offer special orders per request. My cat almost lost his tail and Dr. Streett thought outside of the box and was able to administer treatments to save it. The staff is sweet and kind and the doctors are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Though I have moved to Baltimore County, after trying another vet, I will be making the drive to Bel Air as the difference in service is well worth it. Overall I will say AMAZING Veterinary Office!

Dr.Street is amazing!!! We have been working with him with our puppy who needs surgery. Dr.Street has gone above and beyond to make everything easy and smooth. He truly cares about the animals he sees. I am very picky with my theee dogs and have nothing bad to say about this practice. This is rare to find now a days in the busy world we live in. We also love Dr.Dillinger!!!!

My yellow lab Tansy was a frequent flyer here in her later years, and I'm pretty sure the amount of money we paid these guys put the owner's kids through college. Regardless, they do great work and helped care for me and my best friend up to the very end. I trust them with all of my pets.

My lab has had his fair share of heath problems. While he was a puppy, Dr. Street informed me that one of his testicles hadn't desended yet. He warned me that if we didn't get him neutered that it could cause cancer. The cost was going to be high, due to the fact that they have to surgically go into his abdomen and remove it. I delayed the neutering for about three years. In the meantime, he also was diagnosed with Lyme's disease. A few months ago, we noticed that he started to lose hair significantly underneath his body and around his neck. We took him to the vet to make sure that it wasn't a parasite, and rule out a few other issues. All the while he seemed to be normal and in good spirits. But it was definitely getting worse. After doing some research on my own and talking with the doctors, we decided that the fur loss could be a sign of cancer due to his retained testicle. Finally, we scheduled his surgery and after the biopsy of the testicle it was determined that he had in fact, cancer. I was informed by the doctors that they had gotten most of the cancer out, and his fur should start to regrow by February. After the first few weeks post surgery, I immediately noticed how much happier he was. He seem to be very playful and finally paid attention to our other dog. They actually play non stop now! I started to wonder if he was going to grow his hair back, and then all of a sudden as if it were magic it started to grow again. And it wasn't even February yet! My chocolate lab is only four years old, and to think that he could have succumbed to cancer at such an early age was indeed tragic to me. The vets there are caring and patient, not only with animals but the humans as well. I can't thank the staff and the vets there enough! If you haven't decided on a vet yet, please do yourself and your animal a favor and go to Greenbrier Vet!

My experience was great until I had to pay the bill. When I called to ask about a health certificate, I was quoted $28.50. I was charged $77.50. The receptionist told me that there was a $49 charge for the exam. So the charge for printing and signing a piece of paper is $28.50. There was no mention of a separate charge prior to the presentation of the bill. I am very dissatisfied with their deception.
