This is the best animal hospital I've been to during my time in Baltimore. The staff here is wonderful, and Dr. McMichaels is amazing! She takes the time to explain things, both good or bad, and is always available if you need to talk to her. She was compassionate and caring when my pet was sick, and I felt like my pet was getting the best care. This place also doesn't focus on just doing every test under the sun no matter the cost, they are very reasonable with their care and their approach to each animal. Hands down love this place.

Dr. Eden has taken care of our pups through two surgeries and an urgent care visit in the last year. Worst place ever! I have taken my cats there a few times and the service is not good, its extremely over priced, they try and do a ton of tests most of which are not necessary, and they charge you for everything. We just went there to euthanize our dog because Charm City Vet (way better!) was not open and waited over an hour in the room while our dog was suffering before they came in to give her a shot, and on top of that they charged us $125 for a consultation in addition to the price for the shot! The place is terrible and I will never go there again. I feel like all they care about is making money and don't care about your pets!

We had to put our dog asleep. It is only now, 9 days later that I am able to bring myself to talk about it. She was 16, never had any real health issues. She was very playful and always acted like a puppy. It all happened so fast. From when she had the seizer to when my wife and I let her go. We have never been to Eastern Animal Hospital. We had 3 dogs. When I found her outside I called my wife and then called out normal vet. Only to find that they closed down, with no notice, no chance to get our history or records. Nothing. I was in a panic. My wife said to call EAH and I did, talked with a kind woman on the phone and she told me to bring her in. I rushed there and Bobby, the technician came out and took her back to be examined. Bobby was sweet, caring and very careful with “Daddy’s girl”. The ladies up front were very kind and clear with what I had to do. Dr. Kari Deininger came to talk with us. Gave us all the details, let us go back and see her where she was hooked up to an IV on a cooling pad. Dr. Deininger spoke slow and calm. She was very sympathetic to what was happening. She was clear, concerned and I feel gave us all the options. I am glad that she is the one who was there who took care of us and my dog. My wife and I are heart broken. But the entire staff from the ladies at the front desk to the technicians to the Drs were very great. The whole ordeal lasted about 4 hours. From me finding her outside, to my wife holding her as she drifted off to sleep. I want to thank everyone for their time, efforts, care, and love during the time we were there. As far as 1st experiences go with the situation… this place made us feel like we were family, like we go there all the time, like EAH has always been our place for our four legged family members. I want to say Thank you to Bobby and Dr. Kari Deininger. Eric And Linda.

Dr. King and the entire staff are wonderful, caring and friendly! We trust all of the Dr's but we always request Dr. King if he's available! We have been taking our 2 dogs to Eastern Animal Hospital for almost 1 year, I believe, and that was the best choice ever. I will not take my animals anywhere else. The staff and my 2 vets are great. They did a great job handling my 2 Bengal cats and my dog. This place is worth every penny for a piece of mind when you need a surgery. My dog loves going to the vet which makes this place A+++ in my book. We can not say vet in the house or he goes crazy wanting to go see the staff and doctor. lol

We were thrilled to have all three of our pups seen in one appointment, especially in the evening after work. Every member of the staff was incredibly understanding and accommodating of our high-maintenance dogs (and my myriad questions), and they took time with each one despite being after hours. Dr. Kaufman is by far the best veterinarian I have used. He is kind and compassionate, but also an extremely knowledgeable veterinarian. I have used 2 other vets in the past for my dogs and cats, and he is not any more expensive than any of the others (as the last review complained about) and far more competent. Everyone at Eastern Animal Hospital are always so friendly. My dog Max absolutely hates to get groomed, so we seldom take him to the groomers because it traumatizes him. When we take him to EAH for vaccines or to get his nails trimmed, sometimes he is scuffy and probably doesn't smell like a bed of roses. The technicians still hug him and love him up like he smells like a new born baby. I think that's hilarious and it shows me that they are not just doing a job, they have a love for animals. They are the best!!!

My 7 week old kitten was severely injured and I took her 5 days ago to eastern animal hospital and she received the best treatment ever. I was so scared my little cream wasn't going to make it. She had 2 puncture wounds, bleeding eye and a dislocated jaw. I'm happy to say she is doing wonderful now. Everyone was so friendly and helpful that all my animals will being going here from now on.

The staff is great and the care they give to the animals is amazing. There were just a few times when they’ve added things to my bill that were not necessary and one of those times it appeared to be a technical error and they refunded me the extra amount charged without a problem. Also, the other thing that didn’t quite have me feeling good was the constant suggestion for certain testing by a specific veterinarian and these dire warnings of what could happen if the situation wasn’t resolved resulting in paying for multiple tests, resulting in multiple trips to the clinic. Yet when I saw another veterinarian in the same location, I was comforted to know that most dogs experience what mine was having and that even if the issue was eliminated that there would be a likelihood of it happening again all that could really be done was to treat the condition with medication. That really eased my mind and lessened my concerns. The other thing is that when my pup needed a procedure done they didn’t inform me exactly as to how the procedure would be done and in fact even kind of misinformed me as to how it would be done so when the procedure was completed initially I was not happy. Then the area where the procedure was done got infected which made me feel worse. But again they adequately addressed the issue and showed a lot of concern and did everything they could to make sure my pup was ok. Now several days later, he seems to be coming along just fine. Thanks Eastern Animal Hospital for the great work you do.

Two weeks ago Frosty, my 15 year old Bichon, had a hotspot on his tail. I knew from experience that both of us (and our neighbors!) would not be getting any sleep that night because the pain would just become unbearable. So I took him directly to Eastern Animal at 7:30 PM. As it was an unscheduled appointment, I was told I had to wait up to 3 hours because it was a busy night. I didn’t mind the wait and was grateful for the snacks and drinks provided at the lobby. Frosty was distracted enough that he was able to ignore his hotspot. We were finally called in by a technician at around 9:30 PM. It wasn’t until 10:15PM that a doctor came in to diagnose and treat Frosty. We went home at 11:00 PM. The staff and even the vets were showing signs of tiredness after a long day. But everyone was helpful and professional even at that late hour. I am very grateful that Eastern Animal remains available way past their normal business hours.

Eastern Animal Hospital is a great place for veterinary care. They treat my pet as if it were their own. They do not poke, prod or mishandle (like some other places that come to mind.) I have been using Eastern Animal Hospital for 24 years. The finest doctors and staff. Dr. Kaufman and his staff have always been available for emergencies, and I have been there past closing time on more than one occasion. I am picking up my Golden at 8:30 tonight who needed emergency surgery and who is doing fine. I am fortunate Dr. Kaufman recognized the problem yesterday when I brought Duke in for another reason. He pointed it out and the lab tests confirmed it. He did the surgery this afternoon and Duke will be sleeping in his own bed tonight. I cannot recommend any "business" I have ever used more than EAH. Thank you again Dr. Kaufman and staff.

We have been with Eastern since 2002 and have always found this to be the case. The doctors and staff will always be our first choice for the care of our pets. We would trust no one else.

I took my dog to Eastern Animal Hospital for accupuncture to help with his front legs and the vet did accupuncture on the whole body. The vet. also gave him a special concoction that they had never used before and did a laser treatment on all of his legs. My dogs back legs that where not having any problems started collapsing backwards and he could not stand on them that same day after the procedure. He is now crippled on his back legs and needs surgery worth thousands of dollars. He also has to wear braces on his back legs 24x7 in order to walk that cost a thousand dollars to get. I have to put them on every morning. It takes several minutes to do this. I also have to put bags on them so that he does not get them wet when it rains. I have spent even more to try to let my prescious dog see specialist. He also has to take medications twice a day - Tramadal and Garapemil. He is in constant pain. I dread the day I went to there. My dog is actually a service dog for my mom and he can’t do it anymore due to his crippled legs. The doctor would not even call us back and offered NO apology. We went to the vet because the person claims to be certified! My dogs life expentancy is pretty much GONE! It is very painful to watch him try to walk daily! His health is rapidly declining. The staff was rude and did not seem to care when we called to report the issue. They did not find our situation to be important or urgent. Your hospital sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don’t even deserve one star but I had to give you one to write this review.

Had to put my Newton to sleep and all the staff made this very hard time a little easier. They sent me a paw print, a heart wrenching poem that was so sweet. Then a couple days later I got a card. They tried very hard to make Newton well again but he was 17 and very tired. My mom and dad can take care of him till I see him again. Thank you again.

Up-sells for everything they can. I used Eastern for 7 years as my dog's primary vet and boarding but felt that every time I was there they would try to sell unnecessary procedures, medicine, food, etc. I switched Vet's when I moved a little farther from Eastern (although the main driver for switching was them trying to over sell me on everything). I called for boarding and sure enough, they wanted me to bring my dog in for a yearly physical prior to boarding him, even through he just has his yearly physical 5 weeks ago. He's current on all shots, etc. but they "needed" to see him prior to boarding to ensure he was in good health. As though his new primary vet isn't competent enough. It's a money racket for Eastern Animal Hospital... Guess they have to pay for their new facility somehow.

My experience with Eastern Animal Hospital was excellent. They were very accommodating and saw us without a long wait. Dr. McIntyre was wonderful and even though, sadly, we had to put our dog to sleep due to injuries he sustained, she made us feel very comfortable, and provided us with all of our options. She showed so much love to our dog, Rock, I know he felt loved and comfortable. Dr. McIntyre also generously reduced our bill so as not to create a hardship on us. I thank her and the staff at Eastern Animal Hospital for their kindness in our time of loss and would recommend them to anyone who wants quality care for their pets.

Everyone was so nice and they made me feel so much better in being able to help my dog's eye as another vet I took him to gave me medicine that could have blinded my dog. When I sent a photo to them of my dogs eye, the lady called me early in the morning and told me to bring my dog right in. They have a plan for my dog to get his eye better. I feel so relieved.

My dog was covered with hives and the lady at the front desk had already called for a tech to come get him before we even made it in the door with him. She had seen the hives on him when we got out of the truck with him. They took him straight back, examined him and got meds started right away. Thank you so much EHA. My kitten had broken his leg about a week and a half ago, and I was having tons of issues out of our normal vet trying to get him in for surgery. I called EHA in hopes they could help, and they definitely did. Rachel at the front was extremely helpful, and helped me as best she could. I got an appointment with Dr Kaufman for within 24 hours. Dr Kaufman is a great doc, so friendly and informative, and really worked his magic as far as getting a reasonable surgery bill. Last week my husband and I went through the traumatic experience of having to put down our 1 year old kitten after learning she had eaten a lily petal and triggered kidney failure. The receptionists and doctors (ours was Dr. Rieckert (sp?)) were all very kind and helpful through it all. It was an incredibly tough experience but the facility and the people in it made it the best it could be. They were very accommodating, too, by letting me into the "staff only" area to visit with my baby after she had been admitted. They didn't rush me out and allowed me all the time I needed to stand at her open cage and pet her. It seems to me the majority of clientele are there for routine appointments. Regardless of whether it's an emergency situation or a typical checkup, all the staff treat everyone's pets like their own. For instance, on the day we had to put our baby down, she got lots of cuddles and hugs and kisses from the numerous staff before my husband and I arrived. Long story short, pet-related medical expenses can hurt your wallet regardless of where you go; I believe this facility is fairly priced, especially considering the care you get. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area - the staff all care about the work they do.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars is due to the exorbitant fees charged for each service. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and thorough the staff was. Unfortunately, the only other time we had been there was to say goodbye to our cat under emergency circumstances. They were kind and compassionate then, so I decided to come to them for a second opinion. They'll now be our go-to vet. They explained everything and what tests and possible tests they felt were needed. They gave us the option of doing some now and some later. Told us what might happen if certain test results came back a specific way. Our entire visit was 45 minutes and they were with us the entire time. They gave appropriate medication and held off on others until the blood work comes back so they know it isn't dangerous for our dog. Thank you to Eastern Animal Hospital. It makes us feel good that someone cares about the health of our precious dog.

The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, but the the wait times to check-in, see the tech, see the vet, then check out are RIDICULOUS. every time I go there I spend at least 20 minutes waiting to be seen past my appointment time, and spend a total of about two hours there for one dog and a few vaccines for him. Great staff, not so much great efficiency of seeing patients, especially once you get the bill. Very pricey.

We brought our kitty Kunka to EAH after he got diagnosed with FLUTD and urinary crystals at a baltimore animal hospital that mistreated him. Not only is the staff incredibly polite, patient, and accommodating at EAH, Dr Molinelli at approaches the patient room with calm warming energy, followed by direct and concise instructions. Though I wish we could spend more time in the visit with q&a, theres no wishy washy advice. I also love that Dr Molinelli and the clinic has awareness of Chinese and natural medicine.

Simply wonderful. The front desk staff came out as soon as we arrived to see if we needed immediate attention as we were on the schedule for neck pain. The technician, Bobbi, was excellent and very knowledgeable. Dr. King was fantastic. Very thorough and kind with my sweet, scared pup. He called the next morning which was Saturday, Christmas Eve... to personally to review the blood work results and inquire how she was doing. He could have easily asked a technician to do this. Most importantly my sweet little pup had struggled for 11 days of extreme pain and within 24 hours of the right mix of medicine and TLC, she is a new dog. I could not be more impressed. Thank you Dr. King, Bobbi and the entire EAH! Well done.

My dog was injury in the snow on a Sunday. I rushed over- the techs and doctor were very friendly and understood how upset I was. Although they could not do the procedure needed they helped me above and beyond. They even printed out direction to the pet ER where they warned them I was on my way with my dog. One of my worst experiences ever. I dont like the face that they were trying to help my pet but RIP me off at same time. Original blood work and lab was $209. Then went back and reprinted and said to draw blood was 170 and labs were now 76. Yhat was more then original quote. And stays $222. Now I now why the owner can afford to build that multimillion dollar building by the wawa. Sorry bit they posted me off and I will not recommend those schisters to no one

We have taken our three large dogs to EAH for the past 4 years. We loved it there, and feel like they are one of the best Animal Hospitals in Baltimore. They have always been expensive compared to most Vets in the Baltimore area, and I assumed this was because of all the free care they give to various Rescue animals. But now it's like they are straight up price gougers. I don't mind paying more for their services to an extent. But their prices across the board from the regular Vet visit cost, to a CLL surgery are ridiculous. Surgeries being almost double what others charge. Make sure you shop around. Not all are this expensive.

This was our first visit with our 6 year old dog. He is nervous and untrusting of humans after he was abused by his former owner. Dr. Eden sat on the floor with my dog until he earned his trust and then proceeded with the exam. What a great vet!! He knows how to handle difficult patients and truly loves animals. I love EAH! I only wish that all of my doctors were as great as the doctors here. They are up front about costs and services are all very reasonable. The doctors are very knowledgable, trust my pup to their care and he even loves coming and seeing the doctors - they have such great "bedside manner." Also, they go above and beyond and always make sure I am comfortable with any procedure needed for my pup, I trust them completely!

When shocked by the initial estimate presented by Dr. Susan Warner-Jones at Eastern Animal Hospital part of her reply was, “I mean it’s the price of a really nice dinner.” I brought my dog In after experiencing diarrhea X3 days. The estimate provided was $362-$479...I felt as if the doctor was trying to shame me for being confused and shocked by the price and what was actually on the itemized list. After review of the itemized list there were several unnecessary things (IMO) for a dog who was aside from symptomatic with diarrhea was still energetic and acting normal. This experience and interaction has changed my level of trust in the recommendations given and transparency from EAH. I’m not sure we will be going back.

I called Eastern Animal Hospital (even though they are not my normal vet) at 6:30 PM and got him an 8 PM appointment, saving me a trip to the Vet ER. The staff was very friendly and the vet was wonderful and caring. The facility itself was very clean and high tech. They had my pup (and me) feeling much better by the end of his appointment! I was so happy with my experience that I am changing vets and will always be bringing my dog to them!

We’ve been taking our senior husky here for about a year after switching providers from a vet in Mount Washington who we felt didn’t take our elderly pet’s care seriously. The difference between the level of service we’ve received since switching is night and day. We’ve seen both Dr. McMichael and Dr. Day. While Dr McMichael is fantastic, Dr. Day has gone above and beyond for us, even staying well past closing to help us during an emergency walk-in visit. She is wonderful at listening to our concerns and answering them patiently and thoughtfully. I can’t sing her praises highly enough. The new facility is also great compared to the old building. Eastern Animal Hospital might cost you a couple of extra dollars compared to somewhere else, but I’ve never thought of switching because all the vets here are of the highest caliber.

One of the great things this place does is walk-in appointments. I came home in the evening to my papillon/shih tzu Frannie's torn up paw -- she'd been chewing it while I was away and I wanted to get her seen right away the next morning. I called about 3 other places that didn't have space for an appointment until the next week -- then Eastern checked with their vets and said they could squeeze me in. We saw Dr. Kaufman -- he could not have been kinder or more attentive to Frannie -- she doesn't really like new people, but he spent several minutes just talking to her and putting her at ease. Dog lovers know how much you love people who love your dog. =) He diagnosed her with an allergic reaction to an ongoing flea problem and gave her an anti-itch shot that lasts for several weeks as well as new flea treatment that's supposed to be both safe and effective, and told me to please call with updates. It's only been a few days but Frannie's paw immediately started healing, we haven't seen any fleas on her and she seems a lot more comfortable and happy. This place is a bit of a hike for me but I think I'll keep coming back because I was so happy with the experience.

They really are the best! When an emergency vet misdiagnosed my dog's pain, Eastern Animal Hospital got it right. They correctly found that she has IVDD. She was in so much pain that I considered putting her to sleep. Thankfully, I didn't have to. Eastern Animal Hospital found the right combination of medication and acupuncture so that today she is a happy, comfortable old dog. I am confident that my pets are getting the best care available. I highly recommend them.

Super clean facility, friendly staff. We came to this Animal Hospital after my dog was involved in a fight (family member's dog). My dog needed medical attention for his ear. The Vet contacted me the next day via email after I was unable to take her phone call. She was following up: checked on how my dog was doing, summarized her suggestions and explained the process if I was planning to move forward with the procedure. She also offered to get the lab work/blood work information to another Animal Hospital if I choose to go somewhere else. My only complaint was the cost of care at Eastern Animal Hospital. I rated it four stars because I think good care for pets should be offered AND affordable. Because of that, I would not recommend this Animal Hospital to everyone because I would feel responsible for their financial debt after a visit.

They're rates are reasonable, and while most vets in my experience have been good with my dogs, the staff at EAH has raised the bar even higher. They keep taking my review down for some reason. We had been taking my dogs here for the majority of my life, so I am very familiar with this business. In the last several years this place has become a money grab. I had called to set up an appointment because I had noticed my dog had worms. I called and they said to bring in a sample. A couple days later I received a voicemail saying that my dog tests came back negative. I called and said that was not possible since I had seen them. After going back and forth they said they would need to take another test " because we only test for the eggs and there must not have been any in the sample". They tried to make me pay for the test again but after several minutes they subsided. A while later I noticed my dog's urine was an odd color with strong odor. I took her in for a what I told was urinary track infection. After 2 unsuccessful tries, my dog still was not cured so I took her to 2 other vets (since I did not feel comfortable taking a vets advice). Both of which said that my dog had a bladder infection , not a urinary track infection and to make matters worse they meds that they had given us were for a dog 1/3 of the size of mine. I grew up down the street from Eastern Animal Hospital and have talked to several neighbors with similar stories.

I kindly informed the receptionist about being forgotten on hold and call issues and she was very unapologetic, no sorry or assurance.

Brought my Dachshund to the new facility after he had accidentally knocked over the garbage in the middle of the night and starting getting sick from whatever trash he had eaten. Luckily, we were able to bring him right the next morning since he wasn’t eating and we were really worried about him. Everyone was so friendly and calm even though we were nervous and anxious, including the reception staff, the veterinarian technician, and Dr. Molinelli. In fact, I was joking to my boyfriend that my dog has better healthcare than we do! We were there for several hours since tests and X-rays had to be completed, and it didn’t feel that long since the place was so nice. They even had an aquarium tank and a cappuccino machine. Fortunately, my dog is doing well and had no serious problems and I know he was taken care of really well while we were there. Thank you again for helping my dog and keeping my anxiety about him as low as possible! Considering cost wise it is pretty on par with any other vet visit or procedures he has had through other clinics, I don’t see why I would ever take him elsewhere now!

This place is seriously as good as it's gonna get! This place literally helped me when Dundalk Animal hospital wouldn't. I will never ever go to DAH again. I will continue to go to Eastern Animal Hospital. My cat scuttles is a male cat who's had a urethra blockage in the past and I knew that's what was happening I knew the signs. I took him to DAH the night before and they said they couldn't get a catheter in him to even look at his urine so they told me that he had a UTI. I knew deep down this isn't a UTI this is a blockage yet again. We had one about 4-5 years ago. So I called the next morning to EAH at 8:00 AM and told the girl my problem she said can you get here within 15-30 minutes and I told her yes! I went in and they said they were gonna take care of him. The vet tech was very nice as well who came and got him to take him back. Dr. Barker is the nicest vet ever. I like that she's young and cares unlike Dr. Foster at DAH. She told me he had a urethra blockage which I knew and she said she was glad I knew the signs and caught this early. The only downside to EAH is the prices but hey I would rather pay more money then take him some place else where he will get misdiagnosed. He stayed there for 3 days over thanksgiving as well and we picked him up on Black Friday. I loved the staff. Thank god for Care Credit because $2,000 is a lot but well worth it then him dying or being in pain. Thank you Eastern Animal Hospital and Dr. Barker for saving Scuttles life and taking great care of him.

My normal vet did not have availability beforehand I went on vacation but Eastern Animal was able to fit us in as a walk-in. We were only there about 1 1/2 hours- my dog had double ear infection and they cleaned his ears before we left. I was impressed with how courteous and kind everyone was. My dog hadn't been to a vet in a very long time. He is somewhat aggresive during circumstances and he gets extremely nervous. The tech we worked with today was great and very accomodating, she was able to get my dog back into where the doctor exams him and did just fine. The vet came out and went over everything in detail of what needed to be looked at, tests, costs, etc. We were there for 2 hours, my dog had to get sedated (which is what I wanted) and although he was kind of out of it for the rest of the day, he is a trooper getting 4 shots and being poked and prodded for a couple hours. Everyone at Eastern was very very friendly, and very caring.

I honestly cannot say enough great things about this hospital and the staff. Robert was absolutely amazing, his hard work and going out of his way to save my cats life just amazed me. I took my cat Pee-wee there and was expecting to hear the worse. He was in bad shape. I was an emotional wreck at that point. Pee-wee had a extremely bad bladder infection and was about to die unless he had a procedure done and of course almost Noone can afford vet bills especially paying out of pocket all at once. Robert and his team did something amazing to where I could afford those bills. Dr. McMichael and Dr. Eden are they ones who did the procedure and fought to save him. After 4 days at the hospital it was time to bring Pee-wee home with meds and to help finish the infection Dr. Eden called everyday to hear an update on him. I have never seen an animal hospital as good as Eastern. Everyone is so kind, warm hearted and you can truly see they really care about your animal. Very professional and they still do check ups even after the fact.

The staff at Eastern Animal Hospital are warm, friendly, and compassionate. We have taken our dog to Dr. Kaufman for the past 9 years and he's never been anything but great, but we have also had great experiences with Dr. Warner-Jones and Dr. McMichael. The staff all knew our dog by name, and shared in our grief when we had to say goodbye to him recently. The parking situation is not great, but they are moving to new location soon...behind the Wawa right down the street, so I imagine that the parking will improve dramatically. Lastly, many people I know tell me that Eastern Animal Hospital is overpriced, and that may be true because I don't "shop around"...but there's no substitute for the care that our dog has received over the years and I'd gladly bring any animals we get in the future to Eastern. I can't recommend Dr. Kaufman enough...he's really great.

I recently took my yellow lab there for recurrent yeast infections in her ears and skin that had previously attempted to be treated at Dundalk animal hospital. From the moment I made the appointment to the day and time leading up to it the staff and Vet treating Bella, were the friendliest people. When I took her for her appointment, the tech was super nice and was asking alot of questions about the issues Bella was having. The vet couldn't have been any nicer. She was super engaged with Bella, worked with me on a price that would work for both of us for Bellas treatment, explained everything to me about the issues that Bella was having and we decided on a plan of action to help get her the best treatment. I cannot say enough about Dr. Kaufman and his staff at Eastern Animal Hospital. They were caring and generous with their time and services to us as we happened into their facility Sunday afternoon with a very sick 2 week old kitten that we were transporting to a rescue. We had traveled from WV, 90 miles away to Dundalk to get the kitten and upon arriving there realized she was much sicker than we knew. We rushed to find the closest open vet hospital as the kitten looked to be quickly fading and thankfully we ended up here. Dr. K and his staff were so compassionate and did all that they could to prepare us to take care of her and get her to her next home safely and alive. The facility was clean. Every person on their staff with whom we interacted could not have been nicer. It is so obvious that Dr. K has a true passion for animals - even this newborn kitten whose chance at life may be slim received priority attention. I highly recommend this facility and Dr. Kaufman to anyone who has an animal who needs care. I wish we lived closer! Thank you so much, Dr. Kaufman and Eastern Animal Hospital! Winnie made it through the night and is at her foster home and seems to be doing well! We sincerely don't believe she would have made it without your compassionate care!

I have been taking my Boston Terrier here for 8 years and never had a problem. The facility is clean and the waiting area is comfortable. The receptionists have always been polite. I usually schedule the annual checkup with any available veterinarian. There always gently with my dog and ask questions in regards to her health. There prices are a little on the high end but to me money is no object when it comes to my loved ones. I had to take my dog once for a moderate allergic reaction and the staff admitted her immediately. They were very good at giving me regular updates on her health. After a couple hours she was cleared to go home. I was very pleased with how they handled the situation and were very informative throughout the whole process. Great place to come!

I believe I had Dr. McIntyre, she did a great job of getting Vlad to approach her, I usually have to pull him to the center of the room and hold him tightly. I also really appreciated having the cost discussion directly with her. Literally every vet I visit runs away when it comes to pricing and makes the tech have that talk, but it was a much more natural and quicker experience with her in the room. I liked the guy in the lobby offering water/coffee/Halloween candy as well. $68 if you don't make an appointment beforehand would be my only caution, but they're open till 8 so they can actually handle situations that you don't discover until you get home from work.

Bella, our Shih Tzu is 8yrs. old and was rushed in yesterday (6th) evening due to what she has is a uterus infection. I cannot THANK Dr. Kaufman and his Staff for the warmth and professionalism extended to us.

I had never been here until this morning when my dog had been hit by a car and my regular vet (Dundalk animal hospital) referred me here because they did not have a doctor in yet. Man! All the years I have been taking my animals to DAH I did not know what I was missing! Eastern Animal Hospital is clean, modern and welcoming. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly, concerned and helpful in my frantic state! Thankfully my dude will make a full recovery and the compassionate and friendly service from EAH made the traumatic experience that much easier on me!!! The most painful part of this experience was the bill but I expected that.

My first experience had me a little nervous. I have a rescue, who does not do well with new people, especially men. I had a male tech, who was amazing, understanding and actually made progress with my dog! Then the vet came in (a female) who attempted to work with my dog without his muzzle on. We did decided to put the muzzle on him, the vet was still very understanding and loving towards Ghost. She was sure to answer any and al questions with out rushing me and she made sure I understood. I will def be back. The visit was a little more than I wished it would have been, but having the compassion towards my dog was well worth the money!

It took me a long time to write about this hospital. We went to this animal hospital for many years. Spent thousands of dollars there. One night I came home from work. My dog gave me her paw and then proceeded to try to vomit, but nothing came up. I saw her belly was getting bigger. Basically my dog had bloat. I called Eastern Animal Hospital to tell them my dog had bloat. All the articles I read told me to do that so they could prepare. When I called them they said that they were booked up and could not take her. Go to the pet ED. WOW!!!!!! So instead of going to the hospital 5 minutes away, I had to go to one 15-20 minutes away. Time is the essence when it comes to bloat. I know my dog was sick before hand and I knew this was probably the end, but we had to go to a place where she didn’t know to get put down. So she had to suffer for longer. The pet ER where they did not know my dog took better care of her then the animal hospital she went to for years. Still writing this over a year and a half later it makes me tear up.

Edit: I adore this place! They treat you like you are family and they treat your pets as they would their own pets. I’ll continue to patronize this vet for years to come and I can’t praise them enough. They give me complete peace of mind when my babies are in their hands. I was there today and they were very quick and efficient. They really made me feel special and they are always honest about the care and cost. And I cannot wait for them to open up the new hospital in the winter. I love the care and support each of my babies get from every single staff member at Eastern Animal Hospital! Everyone has always been wonderful to my entire family. I will continue to come here for years to come and have recommended you every chance I get. My family members and friends that live in the area now come here because of how wonderful you have been to my babies.
