We brought our 5 year old cat here for a full mouth extraction. He had terrible stomatitis and stopped eating completely- he was losing weight by the day. Our regular vet was afraid to even try such a surgery- they claimed he had lung/heart issues when going under anesthesia in their care, and suggested a route of extensive treatment to fix those issues.
They handed me a card with The Center for Veterinary Dentistry's info. and said 'they may do the surgery- but they likely won't'. I called here after-hours and received a call back immediately from a Doctor. I told her the situation and she said they had seen cases like this before, so I booked an appointment. After meeting the doctors in person, they confidently reassured me he had no heart or lung problems and that they could perform the surgery successfully. The front office staff member here is SO nice- I forget the gentleman's name- but he helps in the back too. He is very reassuring and comforting and even carried my cat carrier to the car for me. My cats stomatitis was SO bad that it was a VERY long recovery for him- almost a year later, he still has bad days but he is about 95% better. These guys are NOT CHEAP- but you get what you pay for- which is excellent care and service. I called after-hours many times and they always called me right back with information and assistance within a short time frame. I really appreciate these guys for literally saving my cat, it meant the world that they tried when my regular vet wouldn't. The only reason I gave 4 Stars instead of 5 was that I was told follow-up visits were no-charge. I was charged for just the second follow-up and they are about 40 minutes away from me. After spending thousands here, it would have been nice to have at least been told I'd have to come out of pocket for that ahead of time. Their pain medication was also marked up about 50$ higher than what my normal vet was charging me. Other than that- these guys are experts and I really appreciate and trust their care for my little guy.
