I was dissatisfied with my previous vet and checked reviews and came to Caring Hands for my new rescue, a sweet little cat named Winnie. It has been a great decision. Every aspect of care has been wonderful. I don't see how I could expect more.

Fairly disappointing initial experience one year ago and thus I will likely never return. I needed to complete the initial puppy vet physical for my English Toy Spaniel (not a Cavalier). When I arrived the staff was polite but the vet seemed distracted and a bit condescending. I've adopted, purchased and rescued for over two decades so I consider myself mindful. The vet performed a cursory exam missing a hernia and three deformed feet. She barely touched my dog and when my puppy was taken out of the room more time was spent discussing the rarity of the dog than examining it. I returned to the Merrifield, VA location where my puppy was immediately taken care of and her anomalies explained.

The staff at Caring Hands treats my dogs as though they were their own. We transferred from a vet we had been going to for over a decade - we were unhappy with their services because they would just take the dogs back and return them, and we never truly knew what they were doing. Caring Hands is the polar opposite - we are always there for the appointment and help comfort our dogs during their exams, vaccinations, and procedures.

We can't say enough fantastic things about this practice! First and foremost, it makes such a difference that they allow you to be with your pet throughout any of the exams or procedures! Unlike other practices, there is no taking your pet from you to the back and muzzling them...an experience we had at other places, which left us horrified. All their staff members are so caring and work so wonderfully with our very anxious dogs. I couldn't recommend them enough!!!

Excellent care, and Dr. Streck is great. The rest of the staff has been kind, wonderful and patient (well with one exception, but things happen, I guess) The bottom line is they provide excellent care for my elderly cat and I trust the Doctors. Would 100% recommend.

The hospital is very clean and well managed. The front desk staff was very kind and welcoming & my experiences with the nurse and doctor were excellent as well. I was able to call in and get a same day appointment for my elderly beagle who had been having diarrhea they gave me a few different time options and fit me in no problem. Many of the other hospitals I called couldn’t fit me in for weeks so this was a pleasant surprise. The price for the visit his medication and a few cans of prescription food was a lot cheaper than I expected so overall my experience was excellent.

We are very impressed by the staff and our veterinarian, Dr. Reynolds. This was our first visit to Carings Hands and we are very grateful for finding this practice! All the staff treated us and our dog with respect, they were patient with our nervous pup and made every aspect of the visit as comfortable and fear free as possible (including peanut butter, treats and performing the exam and blood work in the room and on the floor!). We love and appreciate how transparent the care is and are very impressed with the clinic's organization/reminders. The pricing overall is fair compared to other clinics we have been to into the past. Dr. Reynold's is excellent and took her time to hear concerns and answer our questions. Her bedside manner was excellent as she evaluated and handled our dog with care it. Overall it made for a successful and pleasant visit for all of us!

We used Caring Hands for our two cats during our time in Rockville. They were always great. On the day we were moving out of the city, one of our cats collapsed and became unresponsive. We called Caring Hands as we rushed out the door. Their team met us and immediately started treating our boy, but unfortunately, he had already passed. Caring Hands staff could not have been better during this crisis. They were calm, comforting, and so compassionate. It was a nightmare no one should have to face, but we're so thankful to Caring Hands for their empathetic care. I strongly and sincerely recommend them for your pet care.

We take our two dogs here and they are amazing. They truly understand that dogs are scared at the vet so they get the dogs as calm and comfortable before handling them. They take the time to feed them treats, gain their trust and perform their work. Better than any vet I have been to.

Our dog had a cut that needed attention, but our normal vet was closed on Sundays. We took her into Caring Hands and received great care very quickly. We absolutely loved the staff and doctor who were all very kind and great with our dog. You could tell that they cared. The facility is very modern and clean, and you can't beat the hours. This was my first experience with Caring Hands and the staff was terrific. I only waited about 10 minutes, was seen by a vet tech who took a culture from my labs ears and within about 5 minutes my dogs ear infection was diagnosed by a veterinarian. The doctor took time to explain the treatment plan and I left after paying a fair price and with the necessary medication. Out in about 40 minutes. No complaints and I’ll surely go back!

After reading a number of positive reviews of Caring Hands while trying to choose a new vet for my two cats, I decided to give them a shot. They certainly did not disappoint. Everyone from the front desk staff to the vet techs to the veterinarians themselves have been nothing but friendly, helpful, and professional during the three visits my cats had for their general health exam, dental visit, and dental follow-up. They even have cat-specific exam rooms to help them feel at ease. Both the vets and techs have been happy to answer my questions thoroughly when I had them. Overall, I've been incredibly satisfied with the service at Caring Hands.

My dog can be very timid and uncomfortable in new situations, but the staff at Caring Hands put her at ease right away. They even let me know when there were other dogs in the waiting room so I could prepare my dog (who is scared of other dogs), and gave me the option of a private waiting room. The medical care my dog received was high quality and reasonably priced.

We recently switched from another vet. Dr. Streck and her staff are indeed very caring and prices seem reasonable. She took the time to make my dog (who is skittish at vet offices) feel comfortable. Also love the extended hours, which are rare and convenient. Great to have a good vet in this neighborhood!

We have been using CH for a while now to take care of our cats (originally 4 now down to two). Last night we had to have our 18 year old Burmese lady put to sleep, a true loss to our family! I am writing this review to let others know how well CH and the staff there care for animal and empathize with owners in such difficult times, it cannot be easy. Not only did we feel Tess was well cared for in her final minutes but the care and attention to detail in making us as owners feel at ease and remove stress was great and made a difficult and sad time that little bit easier. Thanks to all at CH....we appreciate you.

The best animal hospital dmv. I recently moved to the area and have switched vets a couple times because of the service or the vets were really pushy. Not at caring hands, everyone is very friendly and very outgoing. The best part I find is that they are not pushy at all and will talk to you and not at you.

These ppl are very kind because they are NOT gonna tell you if your dog is in need of urgent surgery! Dr. Marci told us a huge tale about bunch of blood work that was unnecessary instead of the truth that my dog needed surgery and charged us a butt load of over priced things my dog never needed .. when we found all this i have taken my dog elsewhere since .. my dog could of died because of Dr.Marci "care". Not happy caring hands at all.

I have been taking my dog to Caring Hands for 1.5 years, and now my new kitty too. Their whole team is always so kind and do everything they can to help you in a timely manner. Since my dog was diagnosed with a chronic disease I feel like I am there once a month, and they always welcome us and go above and beyond to give her what she needs. All of their vets are wonderful, and they will personally return your messages and even call to check in and see how everything is going. I never want to take my pets anywhere else!

Dr.Akande and everyone's at Caring Hands are really nice and very accomodating. They try to be kind as much as possible, but the Rachel there lacks bedside manner. She may be the only one there that makes me question my choice of driving extra mile to get my cat to the place.

My three dogs and two cats see Dr. Streck and we love her and the staff. Everyone is so friendly. One of my dogs is ultra fearful (he's a rescue from a hoarding case and was never properly socialized) and everyone on the staff was very respectful of his special needs. The coolest thing was that I was able to watch my puppy's neutering. That's probably not cool at all for some people, but I found it really interesting to watch Dr. Streck in the operating room and be there next to my puppy as he was waking up. It's great that Caring Hands has a policy to be so transparent with pet owners. Our previous vet hospital wouldn't even let us get close to the door to go in back.

I just want to say I was so impressed yesterday with my first visit to the Caring Hands Animal Hospital of Rockville. Nissa the front desk receptionist checked me in quickly and also checked me out quickly and went over everything to my satisfaction. Josh the practice manager was with me and my very fearful cat Winston while Dr. Reynolds did everything that was needed for my baby boy. I hope all future visits will go so well! I'm sure they will!
