Changing my review....initially this place was great. but that ranking dropped. About two years ago: I grew to notice that when I would come it seems that the service at the front desk is subpar. And no matter what I come in for, they are always trying to tack on more expenses by claiming it's part of some overall package deal. So a $50 visit turns into a $150 visit. The last time I was there, about 2yrs ago, I scheduled an early morning appt on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, only to be told that no tech was/would be present. In my mind I'm asking, "then why did you allow be to schedule at this time". They appear to have little to no remorse for my discomfort. Instead the male attendant at the desk responded w/ a "deal with it" tone.

The outside looks like a dump, the insides wishes it looked as good as outside. There is a lot of garbage outside and its not particularly clean inside, there is a bit of a smell but I'll let it slide cause it's kinda expected with a place that has animals. Anyway i wont bore you with a story but in my opinion its dirty, expensive, service isn't the best, the vet needs better bedside manor and i know i said it but its pretty expensive. I'm most likely not going back

my friends and i went here and didn’t know it was a clinic cuz a friend told us there was a shelter around for us to get community service hours for school, so we went up to the door and asked the olddd man and he was the rudest old man ever. we asked him a simple question and he had an attitude throughout the whole conversation (although he was mainly the one talking). y’all need better service and employees. tell grandpa to eat a snickers cuz he ain’t himself when he’s hungry ;)

Thanks for seeing my cat on such a short notice. I dont know why he was sick,but Dr. Manzoor's diagnosis and treatment have restored my cat's health . I can tell that you guys treat your patients with lots of love. Mac loves you guys. This place is worth every cent! Thanks Again!

The staff here is AMAZING. I went in on an emergency appointment because my baby Onyx (a 7 y.o. staffordshire terrier) had an ingrown claw. They were so gentle & patient with him (as he has an aversion to getting his nails clipped), not to mention very friendly. They allowed me to stay back there with them while they clipped, cleaned, & bandaged him up. It was my first visit there, but it will DEFINITELY NOT be my last! You can tell they love your babies like their own.

Needed last minute shots for my cat in order to move into an apartment. Eileen at front desk was understanding and told me to come in in an hour. Very nice nurse and Doctor. Very pleased with this clinic.

I have read the mixed reviews and felt I needed to give my opinion here. I've brought my cocker spaniel mix, Djangodor (Django) here a few times over the years for different things. They treated my baby for an ear infections, the service was great! They were patient with Django and got him well both times. The bill was expensive but I don't mind spending it for my baby. I get Djangodor's shots here and he was groomed there once. The grooming was ok, his nails weren't clipped enough and that bothered me. Djangodor and my grandmother's dog Pawn have hotel-ed here twice I believe. Both appeared to be well taken care of. The facility is a home-turned-hospital and has inner city charm. Inside is clean and remodeled nicely. Don't let the curbside fool ya! Overall... my experience has been very good! I give 4 stars only because the prices are very expensive. Quality of Care is 5 stars! My only advice is boost the curb appeal to the exterior.

my cat had surgery there and is now on his second infection. they gave the wrong dosage of antibiotics and the stitches were loose. also, after explaining he was having trouble swallowing his medicine/food/water, they told me "well he needs to take his meds". thanks for the help guys. i am now seeing another vet to fix this. THEY ARE NOT UPFRONT WITH CHARGES. i paid for the surgery and everything and when i went to get him, they added on $80 worth of things that they did not tell me about!!

Diagnosis of a Cat Killer I’m surprised this hospital doesn’t work with snakes because that’s what you’re working with when you enter the door. It’s been years, but when I drive by, I am always reminded of what a crumby dude can do to a pet that you love. Brought my cat in, $400 later, I left with a cat that was sicker. Don’t do it.

I take my cat to brentwood on a regular basis and the staff there is always helpful and knowledgeable.the last time I was there my cat had an upper respiratory infection and the techs there immediately knew and recognized his condition ,Dr.Manzoor gave the correct medicines for hazel and she was cured within a week of being treated .I just want to thank the entire staff for being so helpful from the receptionist to the techs.

Looking to be overcharged and waited on by unprofessional, apathetic employees? Look no further people! Brentwood Animal Hospital is here for all of that and more. My dog recently had knee surgery on both knees and required daycare while I was at work, so I begrudgingly chose Brentwood Animal Hospital. Why begrudgingly? I read the reviews and knew I was probably making a mistake but I needed a place that opened early and was close to my home. Listen to the reviews on this place folks. Do not bring your beloved pets here. I was overcharged. Told one price over the phone and then charged $30 more in person. The veterinarian that looked at my dog was extremely talkative, very pushy and overbearing. He tried to push prescriptions that were not requested or needed. The worst part of my experience with this hospital was the customer service. The clinic was scheduled to open at 7:30am every day. The first day I showed up -- the receptionist (an overweight African American female with a dour expression) was late. I work every day in D.C. and have a tight schedule -- so if you say you are going to be open at 7:30am -- be open at 7:30!! She strolls in late with a casual good morning. The second day -- the same thing -- this time instead of being 5-7 minutes late she doesn't arrive until 7:45am. By this time, I'm calling the clinic leaving messages, asking: "Are you guys planning to open today?" The same day I get a phone call from an employee apologizing for the lateness and promising it won't happen again. The third day -- hallelujah -- another employee is there to open the door at exactly 7:30am. But that is where the "We'll do better" ends. The fourth day -- the receptionist arrives late again (and this is after I banged on the door ... walked around the building shouting for them to open the door because I was told an employee stays overnight with the dogs). When I finally enter the building, I ask: "Are you even sorry that you keep arriving late to work when a customer is waiting? No apologies?" The receptionist's response -- with her ever present dour expression and attitude -- "No, I'm not sorry." I ask her to repeat herself and she says: "No, I'm not sorry. Someone else could have opened the door for you." This beautiful example of how customer service in the DMV ain't worth a damn is the reason for this review and definitely one reason (not the only) why I will never do business with BAH again. I told other empoloyees and was given: "Oh, I'm so sorry that happened." Did anyone think to say, "That is unacceptable. We'll have a talk with the receptionist." Nope. And no one mentioned elevating my concerns/complaints to management or the owner(s). Who would feel comfortable leaving their dog with someone with this type of attitude? Or work with a business that would hire someone like her? There are so many other animal hospitals/clinics in the DMV. Choose wisely. Read the reviews. Believe the reviews. And, most importantly, don't do business with this place. If you love your dog, appreciate integrity and excellent customer service -- go elsewhere.

DON'T DO IT! A few years ago, I went on vacation and I left my rabbit in my brother's care. Somehow, the AC went off for a few hours and my rabbit overheated. My brother ran literally up the street to the Brentwood Animal Hospital where he was told they would not care for him unless he gave them a $70 payment up front for the rabbit to be seen. So when my brother ran to the closest ATM to take the cash out of his account, my rabbit died in his arms. Even though I was aware of my rabbit's condition, I still believe he could've been saved. I mean when you think about it, isn't that what they are in business for, to save animal's lives? I DO NOT recommend this "animal hospital" to anyone. This is just MY personal experience with these people...
