Let me start by saying this. I have been looking for a vet that I am comfortable at and trust for YEARS! I've been holding my nose with the places I've gone to in the past, not to say they were bad, I was just looking for a place that was a bit more personable towards my cat, not "what can I sell you, thanks for your money see you in a few days" kinda place. Dr. Brenner saw my kitty today, upon walking into the room, he went right for her and started talking to her, petting her, and checking her over, not even a word to me. (I had already talked to vet tech about what was wrong so he already knew what was going on with her) It made me instantly fall in love with him as a vet seeing as his top and utmost priority was my cat, not my money. He didn't try to sell me the latest in cat medicine and the newest organic cat treat to give her, he told me the plan of action to make her better, and told me my options. Upon reading reviews, I saw that pricing was an issue for some. I found the prices very reasonable, and even cheaper than Rocky Gorge where I had taken her for an emergency visit this weekend (I had previously taken my other cat here regularly). I didn't have any crazy work done to her, so maybe this is why. Staff was friendly, caring, and very down to earth. They have made a new customer out of me, and I will be recommending this place to everyone!

I've brought my cats to Brenner Animal Hospital since I moved to Maryland over 20 years ago. Dr. Brenner keeps up-to-date with the latest news in veterinary medicine which is great for my elderly cat who has kidney disease, pancreatitis and other ailments. Theo is 17 years old and hanging in there. The staff is always helpful and are able to handle Theo even when he isn't in a good mood!

Dr. Brenner is a gem! He is a very caring, understanding and personable vet. He has taken excellent care of all my animals since 2002. He is astute when it comes to diagnosing problems and really takes the time to listen to your concerns as the owner (I like to call myself the parent). He has Saturday morning hours and some evenings. He has a clear, common-sense approach that is refreshing in a world that is often full of people who beat around the bush. I had a nine week old, 1.2 pound kitten who became critically ill from tainted pet food in 2007. While I knew he tried his best to save her life, he also offered me no promises or false hope that she sould survive through the night. She is now about to turn 6 years old and I am confident that she would not have survived in the hands of anyone else. You will not find a better animal hospital anywhere. Dr. Brenner and his staff are tops!

Yes, there are a fair # of knowledgeable vets in the Laurel area, but what makes him and his team stand out is their bedside manner. They truly care about your 4 legged family member and Dr Brenner takes the time to explain the situation in a manner you can understand, and does it in a non-rushed way!

Yesterday, I noticed my dog was showing signs of an ear infection. He is a Cocker Spaniel and they are prone to ear infections, but when they have one you are supposed to treat it ASAP and not let it go on too long before getting it taken care of. I was calling every vet in town and they were all booked out until Saturday - this was on a Tuesday. One of the vets I called referred me to this vet so I called and they said they could take me same day! I was so happy. The receptionist, vet tech, and veterinarian were all wonderful. Scheduling, paperwork and appointment itself were simple to go through. They explained everything to me and showed me how to use the medicine. You can tell the staff at this vet definitely cares about your pet and your concerns as a pet parent. They thoroughly examined my dog and distracted him from his examination with treats and affection. I would highly recommend this place. They were SO nice to my dog and to me - answered any questions I had and were thorough and honest The vet told me I would not need a follow up appointment unless my dog did not seem to get better, where he could have just told me to come in to get more money out of me. This was a really great experience and I can't thank you guys enough for helping my dog on such short notice.

Dr. Brenner and his staff have taken GREAT care of my cat. From the time she ate recalled cat food to her newly diagnoses thyroid issue. When my cat had to get blood drawn, the staff at Brenner's always treats my cat as one of their own.

I just took my cat to Dr. Brenner today for severe constipation issues. I was very pleased with Dr. Brenner's attitude and the amount of questions he asked as he tried to figure out how to proceed. I ESPECIALLY liked that he didn't want to run very costly scans and do other costly procedures to "rule out" causes. He took the rather young age of my cat into account and sent us home with medicine and instructions on how to proceed over the next couple of days. He did caution that if this didn't work he would have to do Xrays and other things but he tried a low risk, low cost approach first. I understand the risks but I also don't have hundreds to thousands of dollars to spend.

Love this place. Has been here almost half a century and the doctor looks like a younger version of Kirk Douglas. Great guy. They have two doctors, and a wonderful and caring staff who make you and your pet feel at ease right away. Too bad their location is in an area not too many people are familiar with or may have reservations visiting, but rest assured once you are there, both you and your pet will never thin about another veterinary clinic again. They also have a secure online portal for your pet's medical history and records that you can access and customize with your pet's pictures, set reminders and alerts etc. I highly recommend this place.
