The day we never wanted to happen approached us, we had to say our forever goodbyes to our beloved ox of 14 years! It was the hardest day for our family, but Basin Run made it very comforting for us. From the start till the end, they comforted us, they gave us a personal room with our own space and time. We never was rushed or pressured. We received personal touches from them after our baby was laid to rest, they treated us and our ox as if he was there family!

Wish I had found this practice years ago. Dr Muse and Brandon came out to the house, checked over my Bailey bug and I made the tough decisions to put Bailey down. They did it in the yard so he got to enjoy the beautiful day and sounds of wildlife. Dr. Muse not only treated my dog with kindness and compassion that was extended to me. I can't thank them enough for coming out and giving my dog a peaceful and dignified end.

Extremely compassionate and professional, they took our dog in an emergency for euthanasia and did their work extremely well. Quite calm and the best experience you could expect considering the circumstances. They even had flowers delivered to our home after the procedure, unbelievable.

Fantastic staff! I called on a Saturday to schedule my cat's first appointment, and they called me back 10 minutes later to let me know I could come in immediately. The staff was so nice to us, and truly cares about the animals they see. Their prices are also very affordable.

We drive over two hours to visit this practice because it is absolutely the best vet practice we have ever encountered. As pet owners for the past 35 years, we have never found a practice as good as Basin Run Animal Hospital. Dr. Kilby is always up to date in her field, she is an excellent diagnostician and a compassionate practitioner. The staff is welcoming, the office is immaculate and beautiful and in a gorgeous setting. We couldn't recommend Basin Run Animal Hospital any more highly. Simply put, it is the tops!

My American Bulldog is a VERY challenging patient, but the staff was very patient and caring for him. They handled him very professionally, but with genuine concern for his anxiety level. The treatment he received was top quality, and he is feeling much better now.

Dr. Kilby explains everything to you in simple terms and gives great suggestions for treatments. She makes sure you know all the options available, and she uses her expertise to inform you of the best route to take. Overall a great experience and wouldn't take my animals anywhere else.

When my hand was forced to make the decision to put down our beloved 19 year old cat thank goodness I found Basin Run. They were the sweetest people, they have a beautiful office in wooded area, gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye and treated my little girl like she was a child. They stayed with me and comforted me, the next day they had a rose delivered to my home. 1 week later a sympathy card in the mail...... Think about it, I had never been to this vet before and they went above and beyond..... the next time I need a vet they will definitely be who I go to.

I have two labs 102 pounds and Basin Run wants to sell me two heart worm meds for each dog. One med up to a hundred pound dog and another for a small dog. So two heart worm meds for one dog so it cost me twice as much i ask them for a prescription so I can get the heart worm meds they always been on. Then when I order it from Petco online Basin Run would not send a fax to confirm that both my labs just had a heart worm test. I was warned about their greed I will never go back. I had to go to North East animal hospital after spending $624 at Basin Run

My dog has an ear infection and I am out of town for 2 weeks. My daughter is caring for her and contacted Basin Run for medication to help her ear. It is even bleeding and she is constantly shaking her head. My daughter is unable to get her there and they were not very nice about the situation. The medication she needs is Otomax and I will be calling other vets to get this medication to help my dog feel better. I am not happy about any of this. If I could the would get -100 stars.

Our dog Lucy was diagnosed early May with Lymphoma after visiting an ER. We saw Dr. Muse who gave us our final results and told us the prognosis for our sweet baby girl. He was so kind and patient and explained the disease process and prognosis. We were aware we didn’t have much time with her and it would be up to us to make that choice for her. She did well and in fact we started to wonder if the cancer would be ever truly show it’s ugly face. On Wednesday July 24th we started to notice she was whimpering in pain and her neck had become very swollen. This swelling continued through the weekend. We had planned a small bucket list for her and had a birthday party planned for her on Sunday/yesterday (her actual birthday not being until September). Yesterday we noticed her having difficulty swallowing her food and it seemed her airway was becoming restricted. So we felt it best to make the choice to let her go before it got any worst and before any real suffering. So that our 8 year old daughter would be left with nothing but good and happy memories of her best friend. When we arrived at Basin Run this afternoon I was greeted by Tanya who was ever-so patient and kind. From there we were greeted by Dr. Denver and Alex. I could feel their kindness and genuine sympathy for us as I felt they knew this was truly one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make. We were truly afraid of what this experience might bring for us but I can honestly say the amazing staff and doctors at Basin Run made this experience as peaceful as it gets and we are forever grateful for their care and empathy. Thank you ALL who played a part in Lucy’s health over the last 6 years of her life. We are truly and genuinely grateful to you all!!! We've been using basin run animal hospital for almost 20 years now. The staff are all great. About a month ago we had to have our baby(15 years old) put down bc of kidney failure. The staff was very caring( sent us flowers and a sympathy card) that meant a lot to us! I've never had a bad experience there.

Average dog grooming prices, but not very consistent in following instructions or requests discussed directly with the groomer. Though, groomer is very good at returning our pet happy, very clean, and smelling great! Overall, I would recommend them for general grooming and veterinary care. Prices for spay/neuter seem to run rather high, and they do NOT participate in SNAP, or any other spay/neuter assistance services.

We have been going here for about one year. The practice is growing and seems to be doing well. However, be sure before you are seen by the vet that exam charges are explained. They charge different rates based on the purpose such as illness, routine wellness, even a quick dental exam will cost extra! So, there seems to be a charge for everything! Also, choose wisely your regular vet since they have more than one....our cat unfortunately could have taken a different type of medication which would have improved his health sooner...we we a bit disappointed as you can imagine!

When my own vet couldn't see my dog, I called here to ask about euthanasia for my 14 year old husky, he was in a lot of pain and the time was near. From the person who answered the phone, to the lady who let us out the back afterwards, the care, love, understanding, and sympathy was exceptional. They helped my family through one of the most difficult times and treated my big boy like one of their own. Highly recommend if you unfortunately need this service. Bravo Basin Run Animal Hospital.

I like the people here. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The problem is, they are expensive. Really expensive. My dog is 8 years old and this is the only vet he's ever known, so despite being expensive I won't change. You get great pet care but be prepared to pay top dollar for that care. Probably less expensive options with as good or nearly as good available but I'll keep using them given my history.

2 days ago, our family had to make that hard decision that all pet owners have had to make...no matter how many times, it never gets easier. Cold, clinical, and efficient...all while the next furry patient waits for the room. Basin Run was the exact OPPOSITE of this. The ‘Comfort Room’ was warm, and likened to a living room. Housed completely separate from the waiting room and exam rooms, you can grieve privately and leave without passing by other pets and their owners. Our Burger was able to lay in a bed, bask in the sun while looking out at the woods, a tranquil fountain in the corner, a cozy couch...no metal table, no tile floor, no one waiting for the room. I didn’t realize how cold the process typically is, until we were shown it didn’t have to be so. Dr. Smetana and the rest of Basin Run’s staff was incredibly compassionate, soft, and warm. They have the unique ability to make you feel in control, in a situation that is completely out of your control. Without a doubt, this is our go-to vet for every single one of our fur babies, from checkups to their final goodbye.
