I took our bulldog here for an ultrasound, and everything went very smoothly. The staff on the phone was always pleasant and helpful, emailed me reminders, and called again before her appointment. At the office, the receptionists were very friendly and kind, we were taken to a room promptly, the vet tech that took us to a room was cheerful and knowledgeable, and the doctor was very friendly, clear, and professional. I was incredibly pleased with the entire process and would not hesitate to come back, if needed.

Mainly specialists treating our dog for cancer and heart problems. As with any specialist pricey but worth it. Everyone is very friendly and keep you informed with phone calls and emails. Don't know where we would be without their help.

Our current veterinarian suggested we bring our cat to an Internal Medicine specialist. My husband and I chose this practice based on the positive reviews. We are so glad we brought her here. It was definitely worth the 1 1/2 hour drive. Everyone was very kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Petrus explained everything in detail and did not order any unnecessary tests. You can tell how much they truly care about your pet. I would highly recommend Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine!

My dog has been treated at AVIM for a chronic condition over the last couple years by Dr Nivia Martinez. I always have had excellent experience with Dr Martinez and the staff at AVIM. The doctor is thorough, explains things well, and demonstrates compassion in her care for my pet. She also is uncommonly good at communicating—returning phone calls, sending out reports by email and mail, and responding promptly. The service is not inexpensive, but I always feel like I get my money’s worth.

We are so grateful to the Dr's Petris, Cailo, Anders and Frank for the great internal medicine, surgical and oncology care that our Lacey received. Our doxie was diagnosed with a terminal cancer of her mammory glands and these physican's did everything they could to prolong her life in a positive manner. They were never pushy, always direct with the potential out comes, did not make promises, but most of all they put our dogs needs above our desires to keep her around. It was a successful surgery, and chemo. So far so go, labs are great, weight is great and no signs of any masses. We know what time we have with our dog is due to the care and kindess of these doctors and their staff, which is also amazing, kind, and thoughtful. Thank you for all you do everyday.

Excellent care provided - Highly recommend Dr. Petrus! I am always reading reviews, but rarely write them. My cat had an exam and ultrasound by Dr. Petrus (Internal Medicine) today. He's one of the most patient, thorough, and caring vets I've seen! I highly recommend him and Atlantic Veterinary is a great place to take your pet. Very caring staff! Dr. Petrus is amazing! Our dog Dierks is being treated for IBD with protein loss and the care is phenomenal! Dr. Petrus always makes sure we understand everything that is going on with our dog during his routine visits. He is super knowledgeable and is always able to answer our questions and concerns! He always calls me with Dierks' lab results as soon as they come back. I cannot thank Dr. Petrus enough for everything he has done to get our baby healthy again! He goes above and beyond! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Petrus and AVIM&O.
