I love the feel-safe approach that All Kinds has adopted. Our tech and Dr. Adam were both soothing and gentle with my cat, cuddling him under a towel so he never felt afraid - and never even felt the shot.

I gave this 4 stars but with a caveat. Dr. Autumn is delightful, friendly, and took time to explain everything. However, it is pricey and I was displeased that I got charged an office visit for a booster shot (my dogs got a two-part shot and I got charged a second office visit to get the second part of the shot). I originally took them in because they needed a refill on their heartworm medicine and nearly $700 later it was not good. In addition they do not take care credit so unfortunately any visits to them will be based on geography (they are close to where I live) and will be restricted to rabies shots and heartworm refills. The pet industry is big business and it shows.

I took my therapy pet to all kinds after a horrible experience elsewhere. They worked very hard to save my boy but in the end my little ferret couldn't hold on anymore. The staff was beyond sympathetic and several hugged me and comforted me during my grief. In the end my baby boy left this world peacefully and with kind people around him. I can not begin to express my gratitude to the doctors and staff. They are all wonderful

We came into All Kinds Vet two weeks ago after reading many reviews of various veterinarians around town. Dr. Autumn was so kind and spent a long time with my kitty and I discussing his relatively minor issue and the different ways we could alleviate it. She and the vet tech (Shanda?) we’re both very warm and friendly and were both great at answering my many questions. I also love the All Kinds Vet app and the ability to request an appointment online. We will definitely be coming back!

We had an appointment yesterday afternoon to pick up our cat from being spayed. Realizing there was a car accident that may prohibit us from getting there on time, we called ahead to notify the office. We were one minute late for our scheduled appointment. It took about an hour for a vet tech to meet with us (for about five minutes) to go over post op instructions and give us our cat back. The employee seemed unprepared and slightly frazzled. I’m continuing to go to the animal hospital because I like our vet’s “bedside manner” but waiting so long is unacceptable. It’s like they forgot we were there.

Great pet care. They aren't as knowledgeable about the benefits of raw food diet like all the west coast vets are but they truly love animals and take great care of our doggie children. (They thought raw food might be unhealthy despite vast studies showing it's much healthier for dogs.) They have much less health issues than on grain dry dog food and there's the added benefit of small feces that dries out super fast for easy cleanup.

Our cat and dogs normally go to VCA in Lexington park, but they had no appts available for our cat to be seen. He had a swollen face due to an abscess. All Kinds was able to see our cat the same day I called and right away I noticed the difference between them and the VCA clinic. They acknowledged me right away and seemed genuinely concerned in our cat’s well being (I could stand in the VCA for 5min before being noticed). All Kinds confirmed the abscess with gentle handling and were able to talk us through his treatment plan. I would definitely go there again.

I loved that it was neat and clean, the receptionists were friendly and extremely helpful. The fish tank was gorgeous! Dr. Autumn Terry was great explained everything so we could understand it during the appointment, then when she gave us her estimate she explained every item on that as well. My husband and I left feeling like our Great Dane Hades would be receiving the absolute best care possible. Thank you so much for that! We look forward to receiving further care for our other fur babies in the future.

We went to All Kinds Veterinary Hospital when the time came to help our elderly dog cross the rainbow bridge to doggy heaven. The day was not easy, and our hearts were heavy, but All Kinds did everything to make our dog and my family comfortable. Our appointment was scheduled last in the day so we'd have privacy while we spent time with our dog in her final moments with us, they explained what would happen, gave us all the time we needed, gave hugs and tissues, and were just so gentle with our precious girl. They truly care for animals and their owners. But my 5 star review came a few weeks later, when we received a surprise in the mail- a clay heart with our dog's name and pawprint impression. It was a beautiful tribute, and something we'll treasure forever.

We moved about a year ago and took our three-legged, 12-year-old golden retriever to All Kinds for the last year. She'd been through the gamut in Florida, but by the time we'd moved back here, was pretty stable. The staff didn't have too many opportunities to really get to know her, thankfully, because she was so healthy in her last year here, but every time we were in, they treated her as if they'd known her since she was a puppy. When we went in for something routine, Dr. Kate was out, but Dr. Autumn saw her. Sadly, she found a lump and suspected cancer. She was right, and she and the staff helped us through the last month we had with her. When it came time to let her go across the Rainbow Bridge, they were caring and compassionate and acted as if she'd been theirs all along. Amy is always an ear for me to bend about this or that with our other pup, Lilly, and there is just not a nicer group of people at the desk, or in the back to take care of our sweet babies. We still miss Dixie terribly, but know that right up to the last breath, she was in caring hands who treated her as if she was the only dog on the planet. We are grateful.

The appointment was quick and they were both very knowledgeable about reptile care, I was impressed with some of the questions they asked about Blu. This will def be Blu's vet for life!

If you're looking for a vet that won't respect your time, then look no further! I've been using All Kinds for years and I finally had to switch to a different vet. The care is fine, but the office management is lacking. If you have an appointment, you better make sure you don't have anywhere else you need to be because you may have to wait for over an hour after your appointment time. For medication refills, even if you call in advance and tell them the time you'll be there, it will take them at least 20 minutes to get the pills and process your payment. I've worked in veterinary hospitals before and the policy was to serve the customers and respect their time. If the vet is running behind, the receptionists should be calling the later appointments and giving them a chance to reschedule so they don't waste their time. If a customer needs to pick up pills or food, then the staff should make it a priority to get them checked out as quickly as possible. Hopefully All Kinds will put more effort into office management but I'm not waiting around for it. My pets go to a different vet now.

We have two dogs and take them both to All Kinds. AK was recommended to us by a friend who has a few cats and a dog when we got our first puppy. From the first visit we could tell that everyone that works there cares about taking care of your pet. They were very helpful with discussing possible trainers and what would be best for our breed of dog. We had a close call with our dog once and they were very accommodating with getting our pup seen quickly to make sure he was OK. I highly recommend AK for anyone that lives in Southern Maryland!

I wish I could give 100 stars for All Kinds Veterinary. A few months after we moved up here our Penny girl had a strange reaction on her muzzle. We worked with Dr. Autumn and her amazing staff to find out what was the issue. Dr. Autumn took her time each time she met with us and held our hand through the entire process-- she called and emailed us checking in and seeing how Penny was doing. Unfortunately, it was cancer and we made Penny as comfortable as we possibly could, giving her such love and care. It was the first time I ever had to say goodbye a "fur baby" and Dr. Autumn, Shanda and Beth were there for us as family. They were with me when I had to say my final goodbye to my girl, and I literally can't find the words to express how grateful I am for them. When Penny’s ashes came in I went to pick them up and there was a beautiful paw print keepsake, the perfect wooden urn and the most thoughtful condolence card hand written by Dr. Autumn... this all had so much meaning to me and Penny. We love All Kinds and would recommend to anyone in the area that is looking for a practice that treats your fur babies like the most precious beings. We love All Kinds xx

We saw Dr. Halapy yesterday and she was very nice and personable. My cat doesn’t take to everyone immediately, but you could tell he definitely felt more comfortable and at-ease with her. We had lab work done same-day and she was able to give some suggestions right away. Really great. My only recommendation overall would be to maybe delegate the front part of the waiting area near the fish tank as cats only, and have the other part of the waiting room for dogs. Most cat owners don’t want their cats stressed out by having dogs investigating their cat’s kennels, and some but not all dog owners understand this.

The professionalism, skill, and kindness exhibited by All Kinds far surpassed anything we have experienced in our many, many years of working with veterinarians. We spent months trying to find out what was wrong with our dog — several different vets, tests, anxiety, and lots of $$. A friend referred us to All Kinds and we soon had our diagnosis, which was confirmed by an MRI. Unfortunately, we had to put our dog down. While sad, we were grateful to finally know what was wrong and that she was indeed in pain. There was no other choice but to give her peace. If we had not gone to All Kinds, she would have continued suffering for months more.

I just moved to the area and have a cat that needed a rabies vaccine. I saw Dr. Halapy who was extremely kind. I explained that my cat has had skin allergies for the last few years and she suggested an air plug to try in a room instead of a cream/pill like most vets have suggested. I loved how friendly everyone was and how quickly we got in and out.

We are novice bird owners. During the exam, Dr. Adam cared for the bird and also: trained it to step up, come out, stand on the scale for weighing. They take the time to get to know your pet and really make your pet a part of their family too. The prices are comparable to that of other vets, so that didn't bother me. Had been happy till my dog had an UTI. Told the person on the phone my dog was peeing blood and was told the next appointment was three days out, but I could come in for an additional fee—are we worried about the patient or the dollar? Took my dog in for her follow up. Was told they were busy but the doctor would get back—sooner if there was an issue. Four days later I call and am I told the doctor is in a meeting. Four hours and no return call. I call back. They have another doctor review and am told she still has the infection! Should it take the pet owner having to be proactive? I am seriously considering a new service provider because this does not demonstrate quality care for the money paid!

They really love your pet. I took my pets to VCA for years, but when a pet was really hurting, VCA wouldn't see her for a month, even though she had been seen there for check-ups for years. All Kinds took her in as an emergency appointment and really gave her great care. So, I'll be here for regular appointments as well.

Drs. Adam and Autumn have the most personal vet services I've ever experienced, and I've dealt with many vets since a young girl! They not only give you the time and patience needed to explain and teach you about your pet's condition, but they offer heartfelt compassion and empathy when a beloved pet must be put down. My husband and I will never forget the times when the euthenasia charges were waived, and we'll always cherish our furry angel in heaven's special paw prints in clay and personalized sympathy card lovingly sent to us within a week after our tragic losses. They have built their own building not far from the current location that will give them a lot more space to enhance their already amazing services. We are so happy for them. They deserve the best!

They have made making routine and emergency appointments easy and comforting. They also seem to remember everyone who comes in. The doctor are by far the best I have ever been to. They take the time to make sure my animals are comfortable before they begin assessing. They are always so sweet. When the doctor sits on the floor to play with one of your animals during the visit, you know you have found a genuine vet. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Autumn and Dr. Adam to everyone who has a pet of any sort. They are by far the best around and completely worth it.

This is not our regular vet, we are staying nearby and our dog had an accident, the night before we went to the office and although they were closed a very nice doctor came out and checked our dog in the parking lot, she suggested we come back the following day. Without an appointment on a very busy Saturday they worked us in, a different but equally awesome doctor gave our dog a full exam and told us how to care for her. If I lived closer I would switch vets in a second, this place is awesome.

With a heavy heart we had too put our Cocker spaniel Katie sue too sleep. She started having horrible seizures. We called ahead of time and they were waiting too Carrie her into a private where we were able too stay with her the entire time. She was a member of our family. The staff their were wonderful. They explained everything every step of the way. They never rushed us through the decision making process. The vet felt after the initial exam that Katie had a brain tumor and that she would not have quality of life just prolonging it and myself and my husband felt that it was our responsibility to take her pain away

One of my 6 guinea pigs had a soft mass on her chest. She was seen by an exotics vet about a 1/2 drive from my home, but I didn't get the right vibe. I did have an aspiration done. It was sent out for analysis. Expensive, and not definitive. It was an hour drive to All Kinds. Everyone, from the desk staff to the vet were super welcoming. She was sent home with an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory for pain, and to help shrink the mass. She had surgery this Tuesday, came home the same evening. The incision was pretty swollen Tuesday evening, but this morning it looks great. She is eating and pooping; important for a guinea pig. She was sent home on the same anti-inflammatory for pain. She seems comfortable, takes meds from a syringe without hesitation. The surgery cost was not much more than the aspiration done at the first vet. The surgery cost included the pain med sent home with her. The office called this morning to check on her progress. I hope my pigs remain well, but I know I have a reliable vet to count on. Thank you All Kinds.

So far so good. Everyone was super nice and the doctor was excellent at explaining everything and making sure I understood how to take care of our dog before we left. There was a little bit of a wait – they apologized and explained of the day had been a little crazy. There were also a lot of dogs waiting in the waiting area, so that was a bit nuts, But a busy waiting areas a sign of a good vet so Annie & I are happy. Hopefully, we won’t need a home equity loan to afford them, which is why we left our previous vet. Time will tell.

They allowed us too be in the room the entire time and left us alone for as long as we wanted too spend with Katie sue. We chose private cremation for Katie sue. I have had two dogs put down and these were the most compassionate Dr.s that I have EVER dealt with! They were very much aware of my feelings and made sure I could deal with the pain they knew I was going to have to deal with. They take care of all of my animals needs. My animals do not stress when we enter their office. I HIGHLY recommend that if you want the best care in St. Mary's county (or any else county) you go to All Kinds Veterinary. They get a 10 from me!!!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Under the vets advice my cat ended up in the emergency room in the middle of the night not once but twice. My cat had been diagnosed a diabetic by this vet previously. One night he went into seizures after getting his medicine and food. (I had to take him to huntingtown, the only place open that late) They kept him for 24 hour surveillance. When he was finally released back to me the hospital recommend I take him to my regular vet as soon as I can. Well my regular veterinarian at All Kinds was off that next day so I made an appointment with someone else here. When I came in they were very behind on the scheduled appointments. I didnt mind. I was off of work for the day and let them know I would wait and we sat patiently in the waiting area. When it was finally our turn I could tell the vet didnt really care and was rushing to get us out so she could get through her next appointment. She took a quick look at my cat and literlly said well he looks like hes acting normal so just do what you normally do. She told me to go back to regular food and insulin that day. Had she taken 5 more minutes to check my cats blood sugar she would have seen it was incredibly low and he did not need any insulin. So I went home and that night, as I was instructed, I gave him regular food and insulin and dropped his blood sugar even lower alll the way down again into seizures. I had to take him to the hospital for the second time in two days. All because the vet was in a hurry and said my cat "looked" fine. No tests, no examination. Just looking at him yes he looks like a normal cat. What a great observation. I will never take my cat to this place again. I knew something was wrong otherwise I would not have taken him in. And yet I was just treated like I was overreacting.

Great value, not overpriced, especially for what you get. Awesome team who love animals and want them to be happy and healthy. Take their time to explain health concerns and particulars about your pet's breed. See all types of pets, not just cats and dogs, but reptiles and fish, etc too.

Gus isn't a big fan of visiting the vet. He was attacked by some larger dogs and he's nervous around strange dogs. They worked with us & made him feel comfortable. The staff was friendly. We've seen two different vets at this office. Both did a fabulous job. Adam is Gus' favorite! They explain everything and give you an action plan. The prices aren't outrageous! That's a huge plus because bulldogs have lots of issues and our Frenchie is 10. She'll be visiting them often.

We've taken our last two dogs here as it is the closest vet to our home. The care is always top notch, all doctors are very knowledgeable, and the staff is super nice. Cons are that it is definitely pricey (as i'm sure most vets are) and there can be long wait times if trying to go after work.

I can’t say enough how much I love All Kinds! We moved about a year ago, but i still drive over an hour to see Dr. Kate. My Yoshi loves her and I love her. She is kind, patient, and honest. I have visited nearly every vet in SoMD and I am able to say that All Kinds is absolutely the best! Even after long hours Dr. Kate always calls me to talk about a question i have about Yoshi! She doesn’t leave until everyone has a response! When i am visiting All Kinds, I feel like I am with people who truly care for my animals and their well being. These dedicated individuals are not out to nickle and dime their patrons. I feel that the staff and the doctors absolutely care about the animals. Katie K, a receptionist at All Kinds, always knows me when i call and she always has Yoshi’s chart up and ready immediately. The personal attention here is beyond compare. Thank you, everyone at All Kinds, for taking such great care of my Yoshi and for making me feel heard and acknowledged.
