Unlike other vets, their prices are more than reasonable and it's easy to see they arent there to make a killing, they are just trying to help.

They have always been so amazing to my animals. I don’t even have a favorite dr because they are all great. When my dog’s life began to slip away from her it was a Sunday. She couldn’t stand, walk, and she was vomiting, although hadn’t eaten. When i called the office in tears, the dr on-call had just gotten home from the office, but she turned right around to meet us there. Although we didn’t know this particular dr or vet tech, they held my dog in their arms and talked to her as if they’d known her for years. They made the process so much easier for me and my family. They also didn’t charge us. I’ll never forget that, and will forever be grateful.

We've been bringing our 2 dogs and 1 cat to FAH since 2004. Several times the animals have been seriously ill and the docs always seemed very deliberate, methodical and diligent as they observed, examined, tested, diagnosed, treated and monitored the animals. We want to do the right thing for our animals. We have a limited budget. The docs are always very helpful about helping us decide where that money is best spent and which tests to do first in order to get the best health care. They have half a dozen docs and they consult readily with each other if there is a question. If they don't know something, they say so. If I phone in with a problem, there's always a doc who can speak with me right then. Often they can solve the problem right over the phone. Everyone here really seems to know and love what they do. Quality veterinary care may seem expensive but I'm pretty sure that these same people could be making more money in human medicine. I see very little turnover in the docs or staff. 10 years and countless visits and I can't think of a thing to complain about. I greatly value my personal relationship with all the helpful people here. I have recently been going here after a move to the area as it is right down the street. I went in to get an x-ray the first time for my pup. They ended up taking 4 sets because he was "being good" (yes I train my dog) and tried charging us for them all... over $600! My girlfriend was there and got them to agree to charge half of that (2sets) which is still not what we wanted. They didn't even end up using any of them. Today we went to see a "specialist" and paid $200 for them to tell us that they didn't know what the problem was. And proceeded to hold my dog in the back until my girlfriend paid their bill. Every time I call in and get that guy from the call center he is so rude and doesn't even seem like he would know the difference between a dog and a cat. This is convenient because of how close it is but a very bad first impression to say the least.

FAH and their staff are really great! I have brought my cat their two times for some basic check ups and shots and they are attentive and prompt. I would easily recommend them to anyone in the Metrowest area. They just need an in house groomer for cats to complete the package.

Our dogs’ favorite vet. They don’t push additional services on you, but have a nice, wide variety, including acupuncture. They have an online portal so you have easy access to your pet’s records. They also have two lobby areas, so if you have a sensitive pet (e.g. you want to keep your cat separate from the dogs in the waiting room), you can do so.
