I would like to start by Thanking Laurie Champagne!!! (Maine State Realtor) (Awesome Woman) Laurie as well as our entire family are German Shepherd "working Dog" Owners and Handlers. Dr Kern came HIGHLY recommended by Laurie as she too has German Shepherds (3) of her own. Being skeptical as I am I have traveled the US on SAR training's and missions over 30 years. I have dealt with ...You know, Vets that TAKE YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE EVER EARNED. They Lie, Cheat and Bullcrap the life out of you. Meeting Dr Kern here for the first time was educating to say the least. He spent time writing on his examination room wall WHAT WAS GOING ON, Why it was going on and How to care for the findings. ............................LOVED IT! So much more I could say, sooooo much more. When I am here to care for my daughters KIDS ha ha I bring some of my own. I travel over an hour to bring them to Dr Kern and will go no where else. He has become a Friend along with his Beautiful wife Lori and ...Ms "M" his amazing counterpart! Much Love to this team and Wish nothing but the best.

Best place ever! So thankful that they took great care of Ginger getting her teeth cleaned! Their prices are great too! Highly recommend this office to anyone! I would give them 10 stars if I could!!❤

Dr. Kern is simply amazing! He was so thorough. My husband and I brought our 9 y.o female shih tzu there because she had a tumor a little bigger then a golf ball on her little foot that had started to cause her pain. Every other vet had turned us away because it wasn't cancerous nor causing her any issues. Well it grew so big it finally split open causing her to lick it raw. She became very lame not wanting to walk. He got her in to evaluate within a couple days and surgery was set for a couple days later. Unfortunately over those couple of days while waiting for surgery she got worse. Wouldn't walk. Stood long enough to go potty, which we had to carry her outside. We agreed the morning of surgery after him reevaluating her because of the change in her status that it was best to proceed with surgery to get it off her leg or things would continue to get worse. Unfortunately she crashed on the table before the start of surgery. Her body did NOT like the gas anesthesia. He fought sooooo hard to bring her back and THANK GOD he was SUCCESSFUL(she almost didn't make it as she wasn't responding to CPR.. She really gave him a hard time!) I thank him so much for not giving up on her. He was able to stabilize and quickly get the mass off. She's only 2 days out and she's a completely different dog! It's like night and day. She's walking normal but obviously still resting a lot. So happy to have my lovable kissy little girl back and can't even begin to thank him and his wife enough for all they did for her(us!) Most definitely recommend him. He truly goes above and beyond

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. My daughter and I have been going here for years. They remember every animal we have. Especially the exotics! I hope we can find as good of a vet when we move.
