This was my first visit and I highly recommend Derry Animal Hospital. The staff, vets and techs were amazing. They truly care about you and your pet. I felt comfortable discussing issues and any questions that I had were answered and explained well. This was an emergency visit and the vet and tech took extra time caring for my pet's needs. This is truly a wonderful place and I am ever so thankful for their help.

I love my vet! I currently have 3 cats. The staff and Dr. Boulter remember all my pets personalities and names. They're all very nice and so good with my animals. When I have to leave any of them for the day, I don't worry because I know they're in good hands. Very accommodating with scheduling. I love that they have extended hours now throughout the work week. Dr. Boulter is my vet, and she's just the best. I never feel embarrassed to ask a question. Even though the place is busy, I never feel rushed. I also like that she calls me herself to checkup or give results instead of just handing it off the a vet tech. She'll answer all my questions, even when it pertains to a cat that's not currently at the visit. She's also more interested in curing without surgery and really determining the root of the cause, which has not been my experience in the past. My oldest cat had a long bout with a UTI and kidney stones and we were able to find a solution quickly and are better able to manage the problem long-term. From what I know from friends and coworkers, Derry Animal Hospital is more reasonably priced than some of the others in the area. The last time I took all 3 cats for their checkups and they only charged me for one office visit. I guess it's pretty standard for other vets to charge one office visit per cat. The only downside is that they don't really do payment arrangements, even for last minute or unexpected surgeries. But they're very good at giving me accurate quotes and will quote various options and go over every aspect of the invoice. I'm a really cautious pet owner, so I always get the extras (extra blood work, tests, and x-rays), but I've never felt pressured to do so.

This is a wonderful place to bring your pets. We get a sense that all the vets and the techs really care about your animals. Dr. Peterson is great. She worked with us through two difficult situations with our great Danes. She is very thorough, and considered the situation from different angles to give us options with all the information available so we could make informed decisions. I would categorize her service as going above and beyond the call of duty. Everyone we have interacted with in this office had been a pleasure, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have been a long time client of DAH with a 20 year history of cats & dogs seen by them. Have become increasingly dissatisfied over the last several years. Began to feel like their care was driven by monetary gain rather than genuine love of animals. Tired of being shamed because I could not partake of the expensive treatments suggested, like take my dog to a Cardiologist in Malden. When I had my small dog with me, when I was getting a well check for my cat, I brought up the issue for which I had my dog in less than a month ago. In other words, their advice did not help. Rather than bother to physically take a quick look at my dog pertaining to my concern, Dr More looked on his computer to advise me to buy something else he had recommended...which was a bandaid, not a solution to my dog’s problem. I had had it! I went to a new vet & wished I had done it earlier! She clearly CARED for my pet’s well-being, spent a lot of time examining and asking pertinent questions, addressed something FREE Of CHARGE that I was not even there about and finally solved my pet’s ongoing problem. Dr. More is only in it for the money, and poo poos anyone who doesn’t have thousands of dollars at the ready to spend on their pet. My new vet also gave me a couple of great tips on over the counter ways to help my dog and noticed things about her that made me almost think she was clairvoyant. That is a REAL veterinarian.

Fast service, thorough exams and great follow-up with very concerned and skilled Vets. This is now very much my #1 small animal care establishment in Greater Derry, NH. Appointment waiting times upon arrival is less than 6 minutes on average. Compare this to other Derry animal care places. This excellent waiting time is due to having at least 4 quality veterinarians on staff and mostly 3 vets on at the same time. Compare please. These great vets have time for answering the questions that are so important to people. Dr. Boulter seems to take a personal interest in each patient -animal- and will call your home for help, info or permission at any time following the process to make your pet healthy. She keeps you informed whether the news is good or not. Highly recommend.

Dr. Boulter is a very special person. She is professional, intelligent and always remembered the small details about our doggie girl, Jazzy. Having a pit-bull with all of the stereotypes and lack of education that people have can be frustrating. Dr. Boulter certainly showed Jazzy a great deal of love, hugging her at every visit. Dr. Boulter didn't ever push prescriptions or make us feel rushed. When we were there we felt like her only patients. We relocated to NC and saying goodbye to Dr. Boulter was hard. She has set the bar quite high for future vets. I strongly recommend Dr. Boulter if you want a vet that knows your pet, loves your pet and has a loving and fun personality. Thank you Dr. Boulter. We miss you!

Let me give you a little background on myself. I have worked for an Animal Hospital in Mass for the last 30 years. I moved to the Derry area last August with 5 healthy cats. I now have one that is pretty sick and I decided that he can no longer take the hour ride with me to work. I still work in Mass at an animal hospital. I decided to try Derry Animal Hospital. I see Dr. Abby Boulter and let me tell you she is on top of her game. She is caring and listens to me as I am pretty on top of my cats and she works with me. I find that Dr. Boulter really cares about me and my sick kitty. I am thrilled with the service I have received from the entire facility from the receptionists to the doctors. If I could give them 10 stars I would. The only thing that would make this a perfect situation is if I went to work for them part time. I would recommend this place to everyone without any hesitation and I am a perfectionist.

Wrong diagnosis on both our dogs after we insisted it was Mange. Have us medication for two months for something they didn’t even have. Poor dogs suffered and we wasted our time and money.

We have always had wonderful experiences here. Recently our cat started behaving differently, we took him and instead of insisting we needed to do a battery of tests they did one at a time until we found the issue. Unfortunately he was far to ill for repair and we needed to do what no pet owner wants to do. The staff was unbelievably kind and allowed us time.

I had been living in Derry a few weeks when my cat got sick. He spent 2 days vomiting and by morning 2 was really lethargic. I called Derry Animal Hospital on a Friday morning at around 8:00 and asked if they had any vets in that early in the day. They asked if I was a regular customer, and I explained that I had just moved to Derry from out of state, and that my cat had been sick for 2 days. They said that unless I was a returning customer, they didn’t have any appointments until Tuesday. I was so shocked that a veterinary clinic would turn away a sick animal instead of trying to work one of their routine checkups or grooming appointments around. I know that business is business, but at the end of the day, you shouldn’t call yourself a hospital if that’s the way you operate.

The Derry Animal Hospital is conveniently located in Derry, NH, the veterinarians are pleasant - but that is where the positives end. I've been going to the DAH for about two years since adopting my two, healthy, mixed breed, medium sized dogs, and have been asked to pay bills as high as $500 dollars for routine check-ups and vaccinations on multiple occasions. The technicians are polite but pushy regarding vaccinations that may or may not be necessary depending on your and your pet's lifestyle. I have found that saying "no" doesn't mean that the technicians and veterinarians won't preform exams and give vaccinations and then require you to pay. Staff will suggest a treatment option and implement before discussing cost, resulting in $50-$60 dollar additional charges. Pet medications are also double the cost of retailers or online services. If you do choose the DAH beware of hidden cost and less than helpful staff. My recommendation, find a different vet and save yourself some frustration!

Dr. More & Dr.Sanfilippo are great----straight foward, & down to earth. We had to put down our 11 yr.Boxer. Any OTHER place would have taken advantage of us ,from many visits to e-rays etc...They did not. The crew that we met-Allison, Lily, Brandon were also very knowledgable& compassionate. We never felt rushed in our indecision. Highly recommend this 10 star hospital.

Derry Animal Hospital is the epitome of what a patient friendly vet should be. In the past year we have had 3 of our pets go through extremely trying experiences, and without the counsel and care offered by the staff here we would truly have been lost. They manage to truly exude care for your animals. So often I experience a jaded veterinarian who feels dispassionate and disconnected from our experience; the staff here could not be farther from this. They are very upfront with costs and estimates, and go out of their way to break down in great detail the work they planning. I feel blessed to have their team in our community.

I agree that Dr. Boulter is a fabulous vet that I would recommend to anyone. She isn't just good with animals, she's good with people. I have an 8 year old schnauzer with un-diagnosed liver problems and she has always been kind, caring, compassionate and patient while I ask 100 questions. Most importantly, even with all the vet visits we've had to make, my little guy still adores her and gets very excited to see her. I would recommend Dr. Boulter to anyone (and I have). The receptionists are great, friendly, helpful and also have been very caring and patient through some tough times. My family has taken all our dogs there and has the same great reviews. We love Derry Animal Hospital and will be going there for a long time.
