Terrible service for me and my dogs. I've been going to this vet for two years. First visits went just okay. I found it very odd that when my dog needed a vaccine the tech wanted to take him away from me to go out back. I always have to insist that I'm in the room. Once, despite having an appointment,
There was no room to put us in so they did the vaccination in the lobby! Been to a few different vets and have never seen this. I personally think it's less traumatizing for the animal to have a familiar presence in the room. Apparently not a view shared by this establishment.
Okay, no biggie. I dealt with it.
Then i had an appointment for both my dogs in December, and in February. Tech visit then a vet visit. We do the normal things and everything goes smoothly (so i thought). Then i went in today for more shots (March 14, just a month since my last visit) and I'm informed that both dogs are overdue for kennel cough. I ask how i can be overdue as I'm in there so often, never missing an appointment and always paying in full. Apparently, they only do two vaccines per visit for animals that are sensitive. And each tech visit costs $22 for about five min time, much more for the vet. Problem is my dogs aren't sensitive to vaccines. Never have been.
But the HUGE problem is that when they handed me my paperwork today on the 2 dogs and i looked it over, i noticed one dog was 3 months late with his lyme and lepto! I have been in the office for appointments three times during this period with the dog and not once did they say my pup needed those shots even though their own records showed it! And i had to point it out!
It leaves me wondering if their two vaccine per visit policy led to a backup, and caused one of my dogs to be skipped over. Did the Vet not schedule this because he already had me coming in every month paying his fee and asking for more appointments might raise suspicion? Perhaps it was just a clerical error that was missed three times during three separate visits and missed by the computer notification system.
The real kicker was when the tech came back in after the conversation had ended and offered lyme/lepto for my dog that DIDN'T need it for another 3 months! Not even addressing the dog that was overdue.
I will not tolerate such sloppy work that leads to compromising the health or safety of my dogs. It's a blatant money grab at the expense of your pets.
