They provide excellent care. Skilled, professional staff; from front desk to back office, they are friendly, understanding and caring. They take time to explain and answer questions. My dog is in good hands there and I love knowing that they are both a veterinarian clinic and hospital so all our needs are provided for. There is never a long wait, either. We took our 15 year old dog, Milo in to Cape Veterinary Clinic because he seemed to have a throat or tooth infection. We were able get a same day appointment, and after examining him, the Vet decided it was an infection and prescribed a steroid for throat swelling, and an antibiotic. We also had his nails clipped while he was there. It's been a week, and Milo is feeling much better.

Don't let its tiny size fool you, these folks are very nice to the animals they serve and to their owners. I bring my 10 year old cranky Maine Coon Cat & my silly 9 month old Golden Retriever to Cape Vet Clinic, they love it there and so do I. Dr's Hunzicker & Flahive are the two we've interacted with…they both take their time with your pets, ask lots of questions and actually listen to your answers, they are also very patient in answering all of my questions. The technicians & office staff are great as well, always taking the time to dote on your 4 legged loved ones and give them whatever is needed…whether it's a little love when you first walk in or special care when your fury kids are sick.

The reception area helps to keep four-legged beings out of one another's space; the check-in/check-out desks are well located, particularly with the wide area between that helps keep pets at a distance from one another. I have been bringing my dog Baby here since we rescued him about 4 years ago. They are an amazing vet. Always so welcoming and you can tell the truly care about your pet as if they were their own. One time I had to leave Baby for an all day procedure and when I got there one of the girls was walking around holding him snuggled in a blanket. Dr. Fritz is amazing too. I moved out of state temporarily and she has been there to take time out of her day to answer any questions I may have about Baby and help me with his treatment even being hundreds of miles away. Definitely bring your fur babies here!

The staff is fantastic and many of them have worked there as long as my dog has been a patient there (which I think really speaks to the kind of awesome vet they are!) I asked my kitties Pilot and Little how they liked their visit to Cape Vet. Little had no idea what I was talking about. Evidentially, Herself was under the impression I'd finally come to my senses and booked a weekly massage for her. She did, however, share with me the utter disdain she felt for the rude girl in the lab coat who stepped behind and accidentally poked her in the behind!! Pilot just said "How can you improve on an absolutely purrrfect day? I got to see all the dim-witted dogs and let them wish they could snarf my manly aroma, got fussed over by my favorite girls in the sick bay, And best of all, I got to bond hello again with my favorite doctor, who, by the way, thinks I'm HOT. MY humble opinion is, they've been going there most of their 20yrs and 17yrs of age and everybody tells me they can't believe they are seniors. I love Cape Vet and feel they are blessed.

I have been taking my pets to Cape Vet Clinic for more than 40 years and have been satisfied by the care my animals received until recently. In the past 3 months, I have had 2 occasions where I have needed a vet quickly and have been turned away with a curt "take her to an emergency clinic if you think she needs to go." I can no longer depend on this veterinary clinic to provide the care my pets need.

The place is always clean and everyone, including the dogs and cats seem very happy to be there. I know Bailey and I are! This place has the most caring staff of veterinarians and techs I have ever met! They go above and beyond every time I visit. They are all very knowledgeable and friendly, and I know my dog is in great hands when he comes for a visit. My Boston terrier used to be such a huge spaz when he got his nails trimmed that other places had refused/been unable to cut his nails. Dr. Hunzicker and her techs used a series of techniques to build his trust and now he compliant and relaxed during the process.

This is the best veterinary clinic I've been to in 28 years. They are extremely well run yet kind and compassionate and thoughtful in what they do. I'm not a medical person so they usually draw pictures for me and, while very funny from an art perspective, the pictures help me understand what is going on with my four-legged child. They say you can tell the true value of someone when they're with you in the worst possible situations. I can say that losing my pet here happened in the most positive way... the way they handled my four legged child, the way they handled me, and the candle they burned at the front desk to alert others that a pet was transitioning... Sad and tragic but done in the best possible way. I will be forever grateful. When my family expands again, this will be my first stop. Everyone from the front desk to the vet techs to the veterinarians are the best I've seen. Thank you!

Tried to take my dog there who was having an allergic reaction to something. Her eye was swollen shut and she was bleeding from scratching so much. We didn't have an appointment so they refused to help. We ended up at the South Portland Veterinary Hospital instead. They were great to us there. Never trying to go to Cape Vet again. Best vet I've ever been to. My dog recently had to have minor surgery. Dr. Rosario was very accommodating and really put us at ease. The staff is extremely friendly, especially the very techs. I've been a few times and have noticed that my dog is more at ease going to the vet than ever before. The only minor issue is parking, but you can always park right around the corner on street.
