Took my puppy in to get his first round of shots. The process was quick and easy. Friendly people that answered all the questions I had and even gave me health and training tips for my new pup. They also occasionally post helpful information on their Facebook page, and if you want they will even post a picture of you and your new dog. They do subscribe to dominance training which is more pop culture than actual science but you'd be hard-pressed to find somebody who didn't still believe in these methods. Modern-day dog training is relatively new and hasn't caught on quite yet and before the internet it was niche information that the average person didn't have access to. I can forgive them for that because they're not dog trainers they are vets and their knowledge of pet health was exceptional.

Chance has been a patient at Farr Vet since I adopted him in 2008 and they have always taken great care of him but it wasn't until he was hot by a car in April of this year (2016), that I realized just how much this staffed cared. Not only did they take care of Chance, they took care of me! All of the staff of compassionate to Chance's needs, as well as keeping me informed and making me comfortable while I spent lots of time visiting him during a long recovery process. If your looking for someone special to take care or love your fur babies just as much as you do, Let me tell you about Prien Lake Animal Hospital.. If you want the very best Doctors and staff for your fur children,(and I know you do) then Prien Lake Animal Hospital is the one for you.. I was very leery at first to bring my one and only Shimmers to anyone new because I just moved here from Lafayette. My parents raved about the Doc so much, I knew he had to be pretty special. You never want to say your parents are right about anything but they hit the nail on the head about Dr. Farr and staff... I felt comfortable from the minute I walked in. Since the day I meet Doc, I fell in love with them. He now takes care of my moms dog, my sisters dogs, my crazy aunt J's cats, my children's cat and dog. It is not just the Dr's that make you feel special. It is also the staff that works there.. You know you are special when you have to make the most heart wrenching decision to have your one and only Shimmers (19 yrs old) put down. They knew I was coming in to do this that day and when I walked in the tears on the staff's face were already flowing.. Dr. Farr aloud me to hold my baby while he did what he had to do. The tears from me and Doc's were flowing big time. No one had to say a word to me BUT I felt so loved on that day . We now have Tobby and Smiley.. Both very special to me.. Dr. Farr has a new veterinarian, Dr. Chang. Whom I grew to love.. He is so caring and loving it almost doesn't seem real.. BUT once more, he is very genuine, caring and loving just like everyone else at Prien Lake Animal Hospital... If you need or looking for a new doc for your babies. Go to the best vets in town. Dr. Farr, Dr. Chang and staff are some of the best people I have ever come across. I breed, train and compete in field trials with German Shorthair Pointers. My dogs have to be in top physical condition as well as having health certifications as we travel around the country. The staff at Prien Lake Animal clinic always accommodate my schedule and do a fabulous job taking care of my dogs as well as my wife's cats. You simply cannot go wrong with these guys.

I LOVE these guys! Dr Farr and Dr Chang take excellent care of my 6 dogs. I have been a client for over 16 years and would not take my four legged family members anywhere else! My grand-dogs go here too! The staff is top of the line. I get post cards or calls reminding me that shots are due. They call to check to my pet if they are sick or had a procedure, that extra touch means so much. I know my dogs are well loved when I drop them off for baths, grooming or care!
