They were awesome! Absolutely informative, professional & friendly. Took our kitten in & she has hookworms & mites. The vet Dr.John I believe let my son look thru the microscope to see what ear mites looked like which we thought was way cool. Our appt time was 4:30, we got there at 4 & was seen right away. I'll be taking our dog in 3 wks& will let you know if anything is different. .but the Dr & his assistant Ashley I think were wonderful & made us feel very welcomed & took great care of our Laveau.

I had s sick kitty. My veterinarian was out of town for a conference. His office referred me to Dutchtown Animal Hospital. I was very pleased that they were open til 8pm. I took my kitty after work. I was given 2 treatment options & info for future treatment at home. Office visit was not expensive & I walked out happy with the care, attention, treatment & not a huge bill. Dr. Kelly & her assistant were great!!

The entire staff here are amazing. The girls at the front desk especially Chyna and Kristin make u feel at home as soon as you enter, they understand your love and give much of there own. They are just the beginning. Doctor Grayson is my angel, she is hands on, personable and her amazing love for animals is felt from the moment you meet her. Kayli the tech.....was so genuine that u immediately relax. My senior cat has giving me a few scares but I know that at Dutchtown she is not just another patient, she is family! I will never go to another and recommend these angels highly!

I'm in the process of moving to Canada to be with my fiancé, and wanted to take my baby along with me. Even though I thought I had researched enough and found everything I needed-- Dr. Angelette went above and beyond to find additional information to ensure that my move would go smoothly. My cat was a bit scared, but she treated her so sweetly. She explained everything about the vaccinations and made sure I understood everything before I left. I'm always nervous when it comes to my baby, but she was in great hands. I can't recommend them enough.

NOT A SAFE OR PROFESSIONAL PLACE! Every time I have taken my cat and dog here there has been an issue, and no one will take responsibility. The Vets have not contacted me back regarding any of the issues we have had, we have given them quite a few chances and it just seems to get worse. We have been using them since Feb/March 2013. This is not a safe place for your pets and it is very unprofessional. The groomer is very mean to the owners and the pets. We have also been charged for things that are don't being administered or done. We have been asked to leave leaches, leads, and toys which have never given back. I've have been naïve in giving multiple chances, believing they can do better, or think surely nothing should happen this time.. Well Today has been the braking point! Save your Pets and your sanity don't use Dutchtown!

The first time we took our dog to be groomed the experience was fine. Since then we have brought her back twice to be groomed. The first time we were not told to abstain from feeding her the night before as she needed sedation (this was in the paperwork but was not brought to our attention). Dropped her off at 7 am and had to return to pick her up several hours later, barely an apology or acknowledgement of error. We rescheduled to have her groomed the next week. Dropped her off at 7, lots of traffic again. Called at 11 and told the groomer had an emergency, could we come pick her up. After I got there to pick her up they did not so much as offer an apology, complimentary grooming, discount, or even acknowledge the inconvenience and waste of time I had experienced two weeks in a row. Terrible customer service. Poor handling of the situation. We will not be back. Don't let this place waste your time!

Five Stars for Doctors! However, I will take my pets elsewhere after the treatment from their front desk personnel, Shannon. I have never in all my years been treated and spoken down to the way she did me and the other gals sitting at the desk while trying to answer my questions about flea control. What a miserable, mean, rude and hateful woman. She should not represent their front desk. If the doctors only knew how awful she is to their customers, I'm sure she would not be there long.

My puppy fell off the couch Sunday morning and broke his ulna, radius and crushed his paw. We immediately called Dr. Heintz and unbeknownst to us he was hunting and still answered my frantic call. Dr. Heintz is the most compassionate vet that I have ever worked with. He immediately connected us with Dr Gary Sod (who has emergency clinic in St Gabriel and who is a fabulous surgeon) and he x rayed our puppy and gave us pain medicine and scheduled surgery for the next morning. The surgery went amazingly well and our puppy is healing. The staff at Dr. Heintz's office, Dr. Heintz himself and Dr. Sod are the best in town. We wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Who answers emergency calls while hunting? That should put things in prospective for you when researching a good vet in the Dutchtown/Prairieville area. We love them...you will to.

I don't have the words to express how thankful I am for the doctors – Angelette, Heinz, and Grayson. My cat, Elliot, got sick with fungal pneumonia and was on the brink of death. He had a high fever, wouldn't eat or drink, and couldn't stay awake. We were not sure he would make it through the night and I was completely heart broken. They went above and beyond to find a way to treat him. Elliot is now back home with me. He is still on the mend, but progressing very well. The doctors at this clinic truly have a passion for helping animals. I am extremely grateful to them for their amazing dedication to saving my furry baby.

Wonderful! Dr. Heintz and Dr. Grayson are both compassionate and highly experienced doctors who always take careful time and consideration during our visits. We have boarded our dog there several times and he is always well taken care of. I have called for an emergency and got a same day visit with no hassle and full attention to our matter. We bring three dogs to Dutchtown Animal Hospital on a regular basis. Our experiences there have been positive. When we brought them our very loved and sick dog, who ultimately had to be put to sleep, they helped to keep him as comfortable as possible during his illness. They understood our pain, too. They are kind and compassionate with our dogs, while always addressing our concerns and fears patiently and completely when we have questions. For us and our dogs, this is a friendly place, where the kindness and understanding starts at the front desk and permeates the building.
