Dr. Hughes is a very conscientious veterinarian with the utmost concern for both the animal and the owner. She is one of the only equine practitioners in the area and is a member of the AAEP (American Association of Equine Practitioners). Dr. Hughes provides ambulatory calls for your horses whether it be well care (keeping your horses vaccinated and healthy), see a sick horse, dentistry work and pre-purchases. Or if you prefer you can haul into her barn by appointment. Just call her!

Dr. Hughes is a fantastic, knowledgeable, and caring vet. I first met her when the military moved me to the area and my horse suddenly had a terrible allergic reaction. Dr. Hughes came highly recommended so I called her. She came on a Sunday, drove quite a ways, and stayed with my horse until we knew he was "out of the woods". She literally saved my poor boy. I have faithfully used her from then on for everything from routine care to emergencies. She is dependable and truly knows her stuff. I wouldn't trust my horses with anyone else and neither should you! If you want the best equine vet (and I have experienced a lot moving with the military for years) call Dr. Hughes!!

Dr. Hughes is up to date on all aspects of horse issues! She is punctual and always available if there is an emergency. She gives thoughtful advice, and cares deeply about not only the horses she cares for but their owners. She is always in a good mood and happy to see us no matter what. Several times a year, she puts on really GOOD seminars in the evening, I have learned so much from them! I would highly recommend Dr. Hughes as your horse vet!

Dr. Hughes came out and pulled coggins, floated teeth, extracted teeth and checked over our donkey. She's very knowledgeable and comfortable around horses so it made the experience for equine and owners a good one. She called when she was on her way and arrived on time. Very happy with everything.

Whether you are looking for routine maintenance, diagnostic exams, or for help in an emergency, she is outstanding asset to have on your team. We have used her to help keep our senior pleasure horses healthy and sound, as well as keep our sport and show horses in top notch condition.
