Great experience. Very knowledgeable veterinarians. They give great quality care at a great price. You can tell they really care about the clients and patients. Convenient hours as well. Monday through Friday 8-5 and Saturday 8-12. I highly recommend Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Maggie for any veterinary services your pets require.

We've been going to Oldham County veterinary for several years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else! The Dr's are wonderful, always great with not only our furniture babies, but with us as well. The staff is always helpful, smiling, and organized. The office is super clean in the waiting room and the back office and the kennels , and it always smells fresh. Our boxer, Gracie actually loves to go and visit her friends at OCV, even on shot days! A+++

We took our Pomeranian here, who suffers from epilepsy, and we needed to have the medication monitored and a new prescription written. After the completion of the appointment, we were disappointed to see that this VET would NOT call a prescription into a retail pharmacy or give us a written Rx. Instead, they required us to fill it in their pharmacy for over twice the retail store price. This is a medication our pet needs to survive. After some complaining, they offered to call it in every month for an additional $15 prescription fee instead of calling it in once with 5 refills. Their Office Manager's response is that pet prescriptions do not work like people prescriptions. I did let them know that no other Vets have had this issue - even those that have their own pharmacies. These other Vet pharmacies reflect the competition in their prices - not a 200% mark-up. For pet owners that need to purchase maintenance medications, I would highly recommend you take your business elsewhere due to these unethical business practices.

They've been great to us! We've had to bring two of our beloved animals in when they got terminally ill and the doctor handled it beautifully. He gave us options but told us the facts. It's always ONLY about your animals quality of life! We never want our animals to suffer. Though it was extremely hard and very sad, it was done painlessly and quick. They're very caring and professional here and I will continue to bring our animals to this vet. On a lighter note. Our cat Pebbles who was very sick, is up and running now happy and lively thanks to these people.

We have seen and been to many vets over the years and just never really found one that fit us. But from the minute we walked into oldham county vet dr chick made us feel so welcome!! He was kind and very knowledgable. Our german shepard became very I'll and we where so worried of loosing her. Dr chick did exam and then told us all our options. He pushed nothing on us and was so kind why we took it all in. We new what we had to do but the shock got us. As he explained thing I re-asked what he had already explained. He never got aggravated or anything he just answered as it was the first time being told to me. Dr chick saved our german shepard and we will forever be grateful to him. His staff is amazing especially autum if not for her my daughter 12 (german shep mom) would have struggled why her dog was away getting over night care. They made us feel comfortable and never any surprises very open to everything going on even with the cost. I could not recommend this vet more. I will forever have dr chick and his staff treat my animals. Kind friendly people and very reasonable cost.

They take great care of my dog. Hes a pitbull who hates going to the vet so tends to freak out and jerk around when they're working on him but I never once felt like they were annoyed or judgemental. They were always patient with him and really tried to work with him rather then give up after a few minutes. Prices were reasonable and staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Very kind staff and a doctor who took time to explain all of my pet's needs and all options available. My doggie is almost 14, and the doctor really went the extra mile to put me at ease. I am SO thankful to have finally found a new doctor we can trust in our new hometown. We will be back!

I left Lagrange several years ago, but always felt that driving the extra 45 minutes to Lagrange was worth it to take my dogs to OCVS. My wife always teased me for driving out of my way to go there. I just felt that staying with them was more important than my convenience. I was so right! When I received a new puppy with a heart defect, Dr. Maggie did all that she could for little Coco, but it was not meant to be. Dr. Maggie's care for Coco was above and beyond anything I could expect from a veterinarian. She loved little Coco as if he were her own. Many thanks for Dr. Maggie's care and compassion for me and my pups.

Very upset at the moment. Our two dogs developed an itching problem while we were on vacation in Pennsylvania in mid-July. We took them to this clinic a week ago, where they immediately prescribed Apoquel--$140 for a two week supply for both dogs. While it has helped, my disgust stems from the fact that no other options to this (now I find out)very dangerous medication were presented. And now they inform me that my precious dogs must be on this for the rest of their lives, to the tune of about $150 per month! I am outraged, as I can't help thinking there is collusion between vets and the makers of Apoquel. I am seeking other, safer options.
