After a bad experience with a Vet in Taylorsville, we looked for a place that actually cared about our Family members and wasn't trying to run up the tab on us. We found it here. They gave my dog a complete checkup and did some extras and actually shower her with affection. Took one of my cats to see them after it was having some trouble. This cat had been diagnosed by multiple vets before but after taking him here the problem was correctly diagnosed and He is doing great now. Highly recommend this place and the people there.

We have been taking our dog Jesse to Johnsen's Veterinary Service for about 10 years now. We went to another Vet in town, when we first got Jesse, and one of their assistants almost killed him. He does not like his ears or his feet fooled with. He snapped at the assistant and she squeezed him so hard to "teach him a lesson", that he messed on the table, and swallowed his vomit into his lungs. It took a full week for him to recover. We have been going to Dr. Johnsen ever since. Our dog can be a handful, but everyone at Johnsen's treats him like he is their own. Everyone is very friendly there and they all take the time to work patiently with him. Our most recent visit was a matter of great concern for my wife and I. Jesse looked like he was going blind in one eye, it was clouding over. When I took Jesse in to see Dr. Johnsen, she looked at his eye, and told me to calm down, he was going to be fine. His eye was just scratched. After a week of eye drops and salve, his eye is fine. Johnsen's is a full service place. They board pets, and also do grooming. Cathy does a great job at grooming Jesse. All in all, this is a great place to take your cat or dog, and get top notch service. I would strongly recommend them.

We use Dr. Pam Johnsen because she is very familiar with cats and we have 5. One of our male cats had been diagnosed by 2 other Vets as having Asthma and was taking steroid shots. These shots are hard on a cat over a long period of time. Dr. Johnsen examined our cat and said to take him off the shots because he didn't have asthma, which we did. He started playing more, became more active and his fur coat really looked better, more shine and hair growth. Very positive change. The whole staff is friendly and they take a personal interest in you pets. Would definitely recommend Johnsen Veterinary Services to anyone who has cats.

Pam and the crew here, love animals, and work very very hard to take care of everybody's critters and the anxious owners as well. They have not yet taken care of any animal for me, but I guess I'm in as good a position to write a review as anyone, as I am a vendor who sits in the clinic sometimes all day watching what goes on behind the scenes. (They neither solicited my review Nor am I getting anything in exchange.) I just believe in giving credit where credit is due, and always will take time to shine the light on others who are conscientious, fair, and competent. It seems harder and harder in this world to find providers who are well priced, transparent, and expert at the same time. Bring your animals to Pam - she cares about them, you, and she knows what she's doing.

At first we were decently satisfied with our experience at Johnsens, but that all changed extremely quickly! Our Doberman went in for her first set of shots after bringing her home, and everything was fine then. we took her back a week later to have her ears cropped. With that being said, we were told to bring her in at 830 am for her 10 am appt and to bring a picture of the ear cropping we like to show her. We arrive on time and she isn't even there! We had to leave without being able to show her a picture or to even speak with her. not only that, they took our puppy from our arms and took her to the back without letting us see her or say bye. when we pick her up a couple hours later they send her home without a cone. odd. Anyway, a week later we take her back to get her sutures removed, and again she's not even there! We were told she forgot about an appt she had. well, thanks for the phone call! the appt was at 345 and if we wanted to speak to Pam johnsen we had to come back at 530. they've been nothing but inconvenient and unprofessional. we have decided to take our puppy to a different vet. highly unsatisfied!! After doing more research....in 2012 Pam johnsen was arrested for stealing $170,000 from her mother! I don't want someone with a background of theft (especially from their own parents) to be dealing with something very important to me.

We board the dogs here when needed when we go out of town. All of the staff is very considerate and loving. The dogs even seem to enjoy the staff! Not all hero’s wear capes! My female German Shepherd was lethargic and didn’t seem like her self so we made an appointment with Dr. Johnson. They got us in immediately and started the check up. Dr. Johnson immediately recognized something was seriously wrong with her. Started testing and spotted a life threatening immune issue. We were completely floored and a wreck. Dr. Johnson was straight forward and empathetic explaining what needed to be done. She called the emergency center and gave them the information so we could get our pup in as soon as possible. I cannot say how thankful I am to her. With her extensive knowledge she saved our dogs life! Today we took her in for a check up and they worked with our hectic schedule to get us in and out so we could make it to work on time. I cannot recommend her enough! If your in the area and are looking for an amazing vet look no further!

Ended up haveing to take her to the emergency vet and then to Johnsen Veterinary later for a follow up and becaus I was still concerned about my cat! Its hard to put into words how we feel about Dr Pam and her staff. She always makes me feel like my pet is a priority. I have never had to wait more than 2 minutes to see Dr Pam. She is very thorough and explains in layman's terms what the DX is and what her plan of treatment is. She has gone above and beyond my expectations of a vet. I really feel like she and Linda are extended family. I would never take my pet anywhere else. She has always been available when we need her and she really devotes her life to her profession. She is the tops in her profession as far as I'm concerned. She always ask if I want a procedure done before hand and her fees are very reasonable. Not only is she a wonderful doc but a great caring person as well. We love you Dr. Pam.....Please dont ever leave.

You can’t go wrong with taking your pet to dr Pam she’s always tentative to my dog Drake and what’s going on with him she never tries to do anything I can’t afford and she’s always there when I need her I have been to many vets as I also worked at a vet clinic myself and I know what it takes to be there for the pets and there owners because not only is she concerned with the pet she always makes sure you as the owner is taken care of and explains in detail what you need to do to make your pet feel better and her prices are very reasonable so if you’re looking for a caring and very helpful veterinarian she the one I would recommend

Dr. Johnson was amazing and spot on with our cat Oliver today. I explained his symptoms to her staff and they urged me to bring him in. I'm glad I did. She did emergency abdominal surgery because he had a blockage of hair bands in his abdomen and small intestines. I read the reviews of Johnsen Veterinary Services and really needed to find a new veterinarian. I called the night before, after closing, left a message to see if my cat could be seen the next day for an eye injury. They called immediately upon opening and saw her that morning! They were wonderful, even getting the medication she needed from the local Kroger as their own medication for her injury were on back order. I know I’ve found my new veterinarian! Thank you!!

One evening a few weeks ago our little guy Roscoe had suddenly developed paralysis in his hind legs. My wife immediately called Dr. Johnsen to help. She said to bring him and they would see him right away. We took him to Dr. Johnsen to see if there was anything they could do. We left him in their care and got a call about 30 minutes later with the diagnosis. We had a choice of a $4500 surgery or a $350 round of laser treatments. We could not afford the surgery, so we opted for the laser treatments. Now he has finished his treatments and is like his old self again. I can't thank the staff enough for their caring and professionalism.
