I love this vet office, they are great with my dogs and so caring. Their prices seem average or a bit below, it is still higher than I'd like to pay for a visit but they don't try to do tons of things just so they can charge you more. Very happy with them and I will continue to bring my dogs here.

My son took our dog "Champ" to this veterinary, because he was not eating normally and was tired looking. The vet looked Champ over and said everything looks fine---no temperature, looks fine, feels OK, etc----then an x-ray showed some spots on the liver---and the vet said could be gallstones or chicken bones..........BUT---when my son told the vet that Champ had his spleen removed 8-9 months ago-----the vet THEN said----may be cancer---and Champ----may only have a couple days or weeks to live ..................How do you go from EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD----TO MAY DIE VERY SHORTLY............Then the vet tried to hustle my son out of the office-----BECAUSE---THEY ALL HAD TO GO EAT (GREAT COMPASSION BY THE VET)......my son left to get money to pay for the visit---and he was back at the office in 20 minutes to pay----and he had to have one of the people collect the billing---------HOW WRONG THAT WAS FOR MY SON TO INTERRUPT------THEIR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATING (I will pass this on to everyone I work with, all my neighbors, all my friends, etc)

We have taken all 3 of our dogs there for many years. Recently one of our dogs started bleeding from her nose, dry lethargic, wouldn’t raise her head up, so my mom took her in, they said it was an infection and gave her an antibiotic and did some blood work and pain medication. Had to bring her back a second time because she wasn’t getting any better, same thing was given, fast forward to our 3rd visit, we gave our dog pain medication, so by the time my mom brought her in she had perked up, mind you she was still bleeding from her nose and the “fatty” tumor on her side had started bleeding. They ran no tests besides blood work, gave a stronger antibiotic for a UTI and sent my mom on her way. Today we have to have our dog put down, she started seizing last night and losing control of her bladder. After 800.00 spent they were of no help. We didn’t want our dog to suffer. And she has been.

Dr. Dan Davis and his staff are excellent. They are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I trust them completely with my 3 dogs and 7 cats. One of my dogs are on a couple of medications. I can call it in and come pick it up. Everyone at Florence Veterinary Hospital treat me and my pets like family. They know that my pets are very important to me.

Our first visit to the office went great, Dr. Davis and staff are very professional, caring and easy to communicate with, took the extra time to listen and to communicate with us. You can be confidante that they will take the best care of your pets and will not run up the tab unnecessarily. I would have rated our experience at 6 stars if I could. We left the office knowing that we have a good office and a really caring person taking care of our cats.

Way to overpriced. Took my 2 cats for a check up and minus the free examination it costed 150 dollars for 1 shot each and 1 cat had ear drops. Called around and the average for those services only costed 50 dollars max. If you don't want to be cheated out on money don't go there.

I am beyond disappointed and outraged with the service I received, not only with the disrespect of the secretary and Dr. But also how I was mocked and made a fool of when I questioned the cost of medicine my dog was given. This was the second visit and third prescription, after investigating the prescribed medication I quickly learned all three are readily available on-line, the local tractor supply, and southern states close to four times less expensive, not to mention the first 2 medications didn't change a thing. I'm uncertain at what point it's acceptable to overcharge for medications that may or may not work instead of doing actual work and find the root of the problem. "Ask google" can give a variety of diagnoses for free, we trust our family pets to veterinarians not Google so I would expect more than "hmmm let's try this next" I do not and will never recommend this practice again!

Go here if you want to pay excessive fees and a rude vet. I made a yelp account just because of the way this vet acted. We waited 45 minutes after our appointment time to even be seen. The vet was rude beyond belief. I asked if they did any sort of billing by mail and the vet told me he doesn't work for free. I wasn't asking for anything free or discounted, I was asking for a bill. He continued to be condescending until I finally left.

We usually go to Harrison Animal Hospital and see Dr. Kramer. However, she was on vacation this week so we decided to just go to the closest vet to us in order to take care of our baby. Although the staff and the feel of the hospital is very warming and home like I must say they are VERY overpriced. Let me change that, extremelyyy overpriced . For a simple exam to determine my dog had a uti they charged $287. $138 of that was just a flocillin injection! tThree other customers behind me were all checking out in the $200 range (One was getting blood work but another was just to get stitches removed!) Way over priced, will not be returning.

Ive used the Florence Veterinary Hospital for years now...back when Dr. Noll was still there. Ive always had great experiences. I now have my dog see Dr. Dan- we love Dr. Dan and staff! They genuinely care about the animals in their care and I feel that I am valued as a customer and my dog is always treated like their own. I take no issue with the expense- Im sure I could find a cheaper vet to use however the love and care they show for their clients both two and four legged you can't put a price tag on. This is service that I would pay triple for! They have gone out of their way to help me several times by scheduling me in at the last minute or accommodating my crazy work schedule. They even sent me a sympathy card when my dog passed away. You rarely find service like that these days. They are THE BEST!

I can not rave about this vet enough. I originally brought my dogs here and then moved and had to move vets as driving was not convenient. Last week my poor Colt was attacked by a GSD mix and they rushed me in even though they really did not have an appointment available. I was glad to pay the extra $10 for the office visit as they took time they did not have to help my baby! They were able to save his ear and I am so glad I was recommended back to you guys by Kendra. I will be staying loyal! You are an amazing office, with very nice people... my vet would not even answer their phones! A+++++ for you guys!

Our experience at this office was horrible to say the least! The office staff are great but Dr Davis needs an attitude adjustment! Dr Davis never once tried to get to know our German shepherd and was quick to have him mussled. After putting the mussle on he returned to the exam room and preceded to give my dog a shot which he protested and struggled. And what dog or human wouldn’t protest! I asked the vet to leave so I could calm my dog down. Needless to say the vet cleared the waiting room saying there was a voilent dog inside then marched out to my car yelling at my husband saying what kind of man would allow their wife to bring my dog in. My husband locked the car leaving our other shepherd inside. While in the exam room the vet continued to yell at us. Before long Dr Davis said our breeder was a terrible breeder and our shepherd was a vicious dog. He offered to give our dog a shot for him to go to sleep. I looked at the vet confused as to treat my dog or euthanize him? So I clarified his “sleep” comment and when the vet returned with to “euthanize, put him to death “. I replied with a very stern NO! I truly believe that the vet and our breeder have had words and this is Dr Davis’ way to retaliate by euthanizing all my breeders pups.

I am sick and tired of calling to make appointments and ALWAYS being told to hold on while they attend to other customers. For 2-3 weeks now this has been happening, EVERY TIME I call. Can they not find a better system? I have enjoyed the Vet, staff WHEN I have been there, but guess what? I will be looking for another vet now. If they're too busy answering 'phones, they're too busy for me! I too am busy with MY valuable time, rather than being left to wait and wait and wait for them to get back to me while I hold on. Often I will hang up to try and call again, and frustratingly, the same thing happens!

I love this place and their wonderful employees! We brought our pregnant cat in here, and she ended up having jaundice. They immediately called us to tell us what they found. They did emergency surgery to help her get better. Between myself and my girlfriend, we must have called them at least 8 times, and the staff was so nice each time. The bill was understandably expensive, given the severity of our cat's condition, but would most certainly have been double at our old vet. I will certainly bring all of my pets back here again, and would highly recommend that anyone else do the same. Thanks so much for taking care of our gorgeous kitten.

My dog hurt his back jumping up and down from my bed. I was so scared and worried for him and took him directly to Florence vet. Hospital on 42 in Florence. Dr. Davies made me feel so much better and relaxed me by taking care of my fur baby. He did X-ray and gave him a pain shot along with supplements for his joints. My dog felt so much better & was out of pain within an hour!!! The place is CLEAN and the staff is friendly. I'll always go there. Btw, it was my 1st visit.

I've been taking my boys here since 2011 when I first moved out to Florence, I no longer live in Florence and still take them here because I know with my oldest's anxiety over the vet this is the best place for him. The doctor is so understanding gentle with him, he has gone from the worst patient to just some small growls when he's being handled now. I've attempted to take them elsewhere and can safely say no one treats them as good as he does.
